Chairman Nadler Announces House Presenters for Monday Impeachment Inquisition…

Planning for impeachment right after the 2018 mid-term election, HPSCI Chairman Adam Schiff hired former SDNY U.S. Attorney Daniel Goldman (link).  You probably saw Goldman doing the questioning for Schiff during the first public impeachment hearing.  Around the same time in 2018 Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler hired Obama Administration lawyer Norm Eisen and criminal defense attorney Barry Berke (link).

In addition to changing the House rules to align with the plan, the impeachment process we have been witnessing for two months was mapped-out in the congressional lame-duck session between November 2018 and January 2019.   Today Chairman Nadler announces who will present the impeachment file during the House hearing on Monday:

(Source Link – pdf)

According to the visible structure Lawfare Counsel Barry Berke (representing the majority) and Republican Counsel Stephen Castor (representing the minority) will make opening arguments to the House Judiciary Committee.

Lawfare Counsel Daniel Goldman & Lawfare Counsel Barry Berke will then present the evidence for impeachment.  House judiciary member questioning will look like last week’s questioning of academic impeachment experts.

Stephen Castor – Republican minority counsel

Contracted Lawyers Barry Berke (left) and Norm Eisen (right)

        Presumably, these idiots have never been charged with a crime before. When you have been, you are VERY thankful that you are PRESUMED innocent because the weight of the government is substantial even when they don’t have the facts in support.

        IMHAO, we are entering forbidden ground if we let NoNads & the gang prevail on the argument the President is guilty until he proves his innocence. And then we’re going to have to ask how much evidence is enough to avert the presumption.

        Ever since the President came down the escalator, the Dimms have put their totalitarian philosophy out there and now they’re going to use it against our President. We’re next.

      Our conservative Jewish brothers & sisters who support PTrump will NOT be given the voice they deserve. Of course the Dem’s will not acknowledge them, and the enemedia will suppress them.

      Nadler is attempting to convey that Trump = anti-Semitism, in this farcical display. With Jews in the US and worldwide increasingly appreciative of the Trump administration’s efforts, this is the pathetic sort of in-your-face tactic to which Nadler must resort.

      Nadler is baiting. Don’t fall for it. 😉

        Most decisively, an enormous, angry, and extremely determined army of Trump supporters is sitting in reserve. If this abuse and coup is not fixed and justice not delivered, justice will be delivered and the rule of law restored alternatively.

        If AG Barr and appointed agent Durham fail to deliver the restoration of the republic via their statutorily defined application of fact to criminal statute, there is going to be a conflagration. Unfortunately, this all depends on the rules that the idiot RINOs in the Senate agree too. Why? Unlike the Dems, they never amended their rules and it requires the minority to provide input. The minority is not inputting, Schumer is not playing along. And, the R’s have no testicular fortitude to move along with out the D’s.

          McConnell and Graham will fall in line with Pelosi. That is what I think happens. They too will run interference with the ability for Trump to defend himself.

          Why do I say this? Because if the Graham and McConnell were real people and truly wanted American values upheld, they would call this dead on arrival due to the fact that the whole sham is one sided and no real evidence has been produced.

      Circular like NoNads assessment of impeachment. If the impeachment is against a DemocRAT pwesident, it is immoral, illogical and illegal. If it against a Republican President who defeated the self-anointed, destined to be in the White House again (so Bubba could play Hanky and Panky in the Oval again), then in it veracious, virtuous, and verifiable (using the rules incorporated in HR660, not in a court of law.
      The Founding Fathers wanted a system of checks and balances against a rogue president. Never, in their wildest dreams, did they imagine that they would need a system to check a rogue and monolithic, angry, tunnel-visioned, idiotic, selfish-driven party and a Speaker who would resort to such dishonest means to insert herself into the White House against the will of the people in order to change the American laws to grab power, eliminate all changes to that seizure, and destroy a country in short order.

                The “Republicons” in Congress SHOULD have investigated Fast/Furious, and exposed a major scandal, committed by members of the DEMOCRAT Obama administration, as it would have benefitred them, politically.
                They didn’t. Instead they had Gowdy the Cleaner, invedtigate to exonerate.

                Likewise, Lerner, IRS and Tea Party.

                Likewise Benghazi.

                Because the,Republicons were IN ON all 3 scandals, thru G of 8 and SSCI, and couldn’t expose Obama, admin, without exposing themselves.

                And you expect the same Republicon leadership in Congress, to mount a full throated, vigorous defence of PDJT, when his slogan is “Drain the,Swamp”, and they ARE the swamp?

                THEY allowed Barr to be confirmed. Would they do that, if they didn’t know, absolutely positively that he was a cleaner?

                So, its long past asking questions about WHY the Republicons aren’t doing anything.

                Once is happenstance.
                Twice?,..Coincidence.
                THIRD time, its enemy action.

                Failure to R & R Obummercare can NOT be laid at the feet of one dead scumbag. It was the Republicons who, after promising us for 4 years, after voting 50 times when they knew their sham vites meant nothing, deliberatly, consciously and very sceptically ‘failed’to R&R, when they had the chance.

                The Republicons are NOT “the party of,stupid”, it is deliberate, it is,calculated, and they are as contemptuos of the American people as the,Dems are.

                And they are as in favor of impeachment as Pelosi and the,Dems.

            Pack a picnic lunch AND dinner, bottled H2O, blankets for “just in case”, a filled 5 gallon gas can – also for “just in case”, and some large, hand-lettered POTUS Trump signs.

            Clog all the Harrisburg-Hershey incoming arteries with your vehicles, and when the massive traffic jam comes to a full stop, get out of your cars, wave your signs in the air, and force the media cameras out to cover the massive PRO POTUS TRUMP response to the fake-impeachment.

              Good for you! One other thing (might not be feasible, but it is good to plan), let the wife drive. That way if traffic comes to a dead stop or less that a crawl, the adult male in the car can get out with a camera and walk forward. He can take a small sign and encourage people in the cars to lower their windows and wave their MAGA hats or give thumbs up or whatever. When traffic slowly moves again, he can stand there and wave and encourage the same people while he films and his own car catches up to him. Won’t be able to do this more than once and the situation would have to be right, but being prepared is not bad.

      The Dems commenting on Twitter are loving the fact that Berke will be there. He is apparently very popular with the leftists for being supposedly a tough and no holds barred lawyer. They laughed at Castor and called him a big loser and pretty much said he’s the only one who would do it for the repubs because no one else wanted the job.

      This whole deal on Mon. will be an escalation of last week and more wasting of time and money for political reasons only. Makes me so angry that they can get away with this destructive agenda and not pay any consequences. Whoever mentioned above that there should be a class action suit for misuse of funds brought by We the people has a great idea. I’d be in on that deal for sure.

        The media could not swing the last election to Hilary Clinton. I don’t believe the media will swing this election either. That is why Pres Trump’s approval rating continues to climb in spite of all this crap. In fact, I think it is actually moving more people in Pres Trump’s direction. Just like Biden insulting the retired farmer, they continue to demonstrate their contempt for ordinary people. We will demonstrate our contempt for them by electing Pres Trump for a second term.

    They didn’t see it as a winner to begin with, not having th reins of power:

    https://www.lawfareblog.com/coalition-all-democratic-forces-part-iii-what-if-trump-wins

    “The essential task of the Coalition of All Democratic Forces during a Trump administration will be to protect democratic institutions against his promised predations and to protect individuals subject to the abuses he promises. One would hope that Congress would be a partner or tool, in such a project, being a coordinate branch of government with vast legislative, oversight, appropriations, and impeachment powers. But I have my doubts that Congress would, in practice, be up for a serious confrontation with Donald Trump. So far, in contrast to many conservative intellectuals and a great many former Republican officials, most Republican members of Congress have jumped—many of them uncomfortably, but they have jumped—on the Trumpist train. And it’s hard to imagine Trump winning the presidency without the GOP retaining control of both chambers of the legislature. The congressional GOP leadership has been, well, something less than a group of profiles in courage—with Sen. Mitch McConnell pretending there is no presidential election going on at all, and certainly no Republican nominee for president, and House Speaker Paul Ryan playing an ongoing game of hot-and-cold which has simultaneously enraged Trump supporters and failed to endear Ryan to Trump opponents.

    The point is that there is no reason at this stage to imagine that the legislature will be a viable venue for push-back, which is a shame considering the powerful set of tools at its disposal. The Coalition of All Democratic Forces should certainly see what kind of use it might make of the legislature, but realistically, we should probably expect that the coalition’s job in Congress will be to prevent Trump from passing anti-democratic legislation. That is, the task in Congress will be a negative one of denying Trump the use of the Article I powers, not the positive one of the coalition’s using them itself.”

      Again, realize this was written well before the 2016 election, and was cast as defending democracy and institutions:

      “The broader ambition should be a very public, cross-ideological network of lawyers and philanthropists willing to:

      Provide first-rate counsel to defend individuals and groups whom Trump or his minions go after in retaliation for speaking their minds or criticizing him or opposing him politically;

      Actively challenge policy initiatives that threaten core democratic values;

      Monitor the Justice Department and major regulatory enforcement bodies for signs of political corruption or misuse;

      Interface with Congress to maximize whatever opportunities there may be for oversight and legislative push-back; and

      Thereby ensure to the maximum degree possible that American constitutional rights and democratic institutions emerge from a Trump administration as unharmed as possible.

      If I wake up on November 9 to find that Trump has been elected president, I plan to spend the next two months building such a network. The first two people I will talk to will be Boutrous and Tribe, both of whom agreed in an email exchange yesterday to a have a conference call November 9, if necessary, to begin organizing this coalition.

      The goal will not be to challenge everything a Trump administration does, some of which will be lawful, after all, and some of which may be debatably lawful among reasonable people. The goal, rather, will be to offer a systematic defense of the values the Coalition of All Democratic Forces holds in common and to have the ability to respond rapidly to actions that threaten those values: to forestall such actions in court as long as possible, to whittle them down, and to block those that can be blocked. The goal is to use the courts to render Trump’s antidemocratic instincts as ineffectual as possible.”

    Nadler’s “lawfare” elves wrote his report.
    That forced him to have to write (in the Forward)
    “The views and conclusions contained in the report are staff views and do not
    necessarily reflect those of the Committee on the Judiciary or any of its members.”

    Good thing, too, because the report turns thought into crime. (See page 6)
    And, these lawfare elves pretend that they can read minds!

    IF this happened, and it mustn’t, no one would be ever able to rehabilitate themselves or beg forgiveness enough to dig out of the guilty decision.
