It seems that way but I believe it’s not necessarily that way. Money can’t corrupt the uncorruptable, the government can’t corrupt the uncorruptable. It’s just that a lot of con men and women are naturally drawn to government work because of the potential to run the con on the taxpayer.

Devin Nunes doesn’t seem corrupt. Jim Jordan seems completely normal. Wilbur Ross doesn’t seem corrupt. Steven Mnuchin doesn’t seem corrupt. There has never been a bigger saint in Washington than Sarah Sanders. Mike Pence isn’t corrupt.

There is a certain amount of comfort we can afford our representatives without it necessarily corrupting them if they are honorable people. I’m sure Larry Kudlow has a really cushy job and a nice apartment we’re paying for in Washington, but I don’t think he’s corrupt or in it for the money.

One of two things is going to happen.
      1. nancy will not hold a vote, and will not impeach, no matter what she stammered yesterday

      or

      2. Mitch McConnell will immediately not allow a Senate Trial.

#2 is probably more likely, because it’s a good way for Mitchy to stab the President in the back, by allowing him to be impeached in the house but not defend himself in the Senate.

I’d say 50% chance Mitch doesn’t allow a trial, 40% chance Nancy doesn’t allow a vote, 10% chance Nancy allows a vote, AND a Senate Trial happens.

Nancy & Mitch probably already have an agreement one way or the other.

So agree. There are way too many DIRTY Uniparty Senators, Mitch being one, to permit POTUS Trump a vigorous broad defense of accusations currently contrived as part of the article of impeachment.

Still easier would be that Mitch would simply call put the House process as fraudulent and refuse further Senate time.

Interesting. Reading the World Wide Web tea leaves (innumerable tweets, blogs, etc.) I think the odds are favoring your third possibility: impeachment + trial.

Intriguing though to consider Nancy and Mitch have made a deal, unlikely as that is. I think it’s more likely Mitch and Pres Trump have a deal over how Senate conducts a trial. Mainly what witnesses the President is allowed to call. Have to think it’s not for nothing the President has constantly insisted he’ll call Schiff, the “whistleblower”, the Bidens, among others.

But who knows what will be the outcome of the Democrat impeachment carnival thrill ride. Looks like we’ll just have to see what happens.

Senator Rand Paul can introduce a Motion to Dismiss (Senator Byrd did for Clinton but it failed) citing all the irregularities and rights violations during the House inquiry. I think it only requires a simple majority to pass. Once it’s passed, no trial. The House won’t start the process again.

Moving forward, the House Democrats can say they impeached, but President Trump got off on a “technicality”. Vote Democrat to get evil Republicans out of the Senate.

That’s an interesting take on it. However President Trump has been saying he wants a trial. Then he gets to put perfidious Democrats in the witness seat under sworn oath. After such testimony the Democrats will have no basis to claim the President is “stained” by impeachment.

Also PDJT is known for his willingness to “own the downside” of ventures and events. That requires courage and forthrightness, such rare qualities among typical “politicians”.

I’ve always considered this head-on approach a crucial element of his success. Taking responsibility for mistakes and unintended consequences of decisions is a central part of standing up for oneself, which is exactly what he’ll be doing as the impeachment drama/fiasco unfolds.

Thanks for the info….I read that portion of the Clinton trial transcript and the motion was part of the “trial” with Justice Rehnquist presiding. The motion to dismiss was part of the trial and not the majority leader preventing the trial. Even so, I don’t think there would be 51 votes to dismiss the trial of PDJT. It would be an interesting vote if the usual three suspects voted “no” and it would be 50-50….John Roberts, as the Presiding Officer, would have the deciding vote.

#2 seems better than a trial? If the evidence is so weak that a trial seems like a waste of time, people on our side will rejoice and the libtards will scream bloody hell, but they’ll scream bloody hell if the President is acquitted anyways. All the evidence in the President’s favor will come out, trial or no trial. I’m curious, if anyone here knows, at what point is the label “impeached” correctly applied? Is it as soon as the House votes to impeach or does it have to result in an actual Senate trial? Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson were both impeached but were found innocent after a Senate trial. Strange days we’re in ….

Mitch controls the extent of defense he allows Trump. He can allow minimal defense, e.g., just argue that the DEM’s leap is not proved, and they have the burden of proof. The Senate votes, Trump isn’t removed, and the defense arguments didn’t play.
That doesn’t mean investigating all the Ukraine corruption stops. There are other venues to raise that, including the infamous “anonymous sources” method.

    HOW TO SPOT A KING

Some think that when David fought Goliath that God fixed the match to guarantee a victory for the young shepherd. He didn’t.

    He didn’t need to.

The young shepherd had spent years protecting sheep from predators. By the time he faced Goliath he had already killed a lion and a bear. (Which angered the older shepherds because young shepherd boys were strictly taught NEVER risk your life for worthless sheep). But David loved his sheep like they were his own children.

As David stepped out to confront Goliath, all knew – all the Philistines, all the Israelites, all the clever strategists and generals, everyone! – knew the young shepherd was about to be slaughtered.

Except God. “Hey, come here and watch this!” He called to the angels. The angels gathered and saw the young boy with his sling approaching the giant with his sword and spear.

“Do You wish us to help the young boy?” the angels asked.

“No. His name is David. He’s the one I was telling you about. He’s the only one down there that does NOT need my help today. Sit with me and watch why I love David so much!” The bravery in David’s heart, which he built and grew on his own, from years of battling predators, revealed him to be the King of Israel.

Today, in heaven, God has again called his angels. “Come here and watch this!” The angels have gathered to see an American businessman, with a heart as brave as King David’s, approaching the Globalist Deep State.

“Do you wish us to help this man?”

“No. His name is Donald. He’s the one I’ve been telling you about. He’s the only one down there that does NOT need my help today. Sit with me and watch why I love Donald so much!”

  12. Journalism is evidently one of the jobs Americans don’t want to do, because it took an 83 year-old Warren-supporter to ask Joe Biden about his $on and Buri$ma,

Think about it; it’s in the headlines every day. Biden may be called as a witness. Amb. Caucescu testified that the State Dept. coached her on how to sugar-coat the Bidens’ bribery at her confirmation hearings. But not one “reporter” will ask him directly. Amazing. Only a private citizen who hasn’t swallowed the Omerta Kool-Aid.

Joe’s answer was to bull-rush the guy, Corn Pop-style.

John Hindraker: “A time-honored method of taking bribes is having them paid to a family member, usually in exchange for nominal or nonexistent services. It is comical to watch “reporters” pretend not to understand this.”

Its not even “digging for dirt”. It’s on the surface–prima facia. There is NO non-corrupt way for the Bidens to collect millions while handing out billions in money and policy in Ukraine, China and elsewhere. NONE.

Enjoy your Pulitzer, citizen. It seems you’re the only one who wants one anymore.

The USA, backed by Clinton, Obama, Kerry, McCain, etc. then moved to topple the Syrian government so that the Saudi’s could run their pipeline. To do it they used faked intel reports from the CIA on a chemical weapons attack by the Syrian government.

What Rush said about 2/3 through, EVERYONE needs to pay attention: the Dems have already made clear even if Trump wins again in 2020 they are not going to stop trying to take him out. This is why it’s SO important that you vote straight GOP in Nov 2020. Do not allow the Dems to have the House or Senate majorities. This is ultra important! Take the power away from the Dems.

Thats the biggest reason they will lose in 2020. Failure of impeachment to remove Trump will only make Dems doubly determined to win the Senate to finish the job if Trump wins. For the Dems, this is all politics to get their rabid base out to vote.

It’s time for our side to get a clue and protect the president from this abuse by making sure to get out the vote and to get rid of these stupid purity tests! It really hurt us in 2018, when many Trump supporters voted 3rd party and even Democrat! I know the GOP let many down when they were in power but we all know they would never have impeached Trump. Time to get smart!

IMO, the biggest mistake is to shut it down before it gets to the Senate. Once in the Senate, they are totally exposed. If Mitch shuts it down, it will hurt them. In the end, it is going to strengthen Executive Power. Just like changing the rules on judges, the Dems are shoot themselves in the foot. Let hope the GOP does not screw this up like they screw everything else up.

We have a lot of votes from dead people to overcome. I predict 2020 to the be the biggest voter fraud farce in the history of the Country. There are legal challenges in the courts already to eliminate any and all voter checks before voting, remove the check on absentee ballots, and machines have already been testing in the Nov 2019 elections to switch votes from one candidate to another. You watch and see….

        • It is much more than that; it is hundreds of thousands of illegals who will be voting in states which do not ask for citizenship status before offering the chance to vote, as well as a mind-bogglingly huge number of Anchor babies. And by November 2020 Every Single Foreign National born to a foreign national in this country [unconstitutionally] given American citizenship will be 18 years old and possess the LEGAL right to vote.

Who thinks these economic invaders will vote for an America- loving President?

Thats an article from March 24th, 2019. It seems thats the time period when things really began to publicly heat up on Yovanovitch and Biden WRT Ukraine.

Biden announced his candidacy in April.

Biden is running BECAUSE his corruption was about to be exposed.

Obama reportedly told Biden “You dont have to do this.” Of course Obama wouldnt endorse him, he didnt want him to run at all because of the exposure it would likely bring to Obama and his whole administration.

But Biden HAD to run to defend himself and Pelosi and Kerry have to support him because they are directly guilty too.

Biden is a floundering, stuttering senile FOOL. He would never have ran if he didnt have to, and he certainly wouldnt have stayed in this long after these repeated epic fails. His campaign is a total dumpster fire. He doesnt even have a message to run on. What, he can do more pushups than Trump? Yet, he remains in the race.

This WHOLE THING is a series of ACTIONS BY GUILTY PEOPLE.

    • As usual, Rudy-G has it right. At the end of the day, “Swampers” such as these took it for granted that they could commit any high crime they wanted, anywhere they wanted, and the POTUS would always have their back. (“Call him.”)

Now, they’re dimly beginning to realize that the Swamp is actually being drained, both here and in Ukraine, and that investigators are hot on their tail. They know they’ve embezzled billions of dollars of US taxpayer money. They know they were running weapons when Obama [purposely …] declined to give lethal aid. And, they know that Trump knows it, too. Rudy-G knows. Barr knows. Durham knows.

So, Pelosi’s gambit is to persuade the Swamp to impeach Trump and Pence, so that she can become “Madame Presidente” and begin to shut this whole thing down so that the Swamp can return to “normal.” She’s banking on enough Congressmen and Senators being willing to be complicit in this coup, since she will promise them that under her Presidency no one will be held accountable for anything and Trump will be hurried off to prison to be “mysteriously Epsteined.” And I’m afraid that her thinking goes no farther than that.

        • This is a very typical outcome of a palace coup. Pelosi doesn’t want anything from the Trump Administration to remain in power. She wants herself to hold the power. To put the Presidency firmly back in the hands of the Swamp, so that the will of the American people can be decidedly crushed.

And when they ignore this and move forward anyway, what do they do next, issue another strongly worded letter?

If the situation were reversed, the dems would have a massive SITDOWN right in the middle of any attempt at voting on impeachment and BLOCK the speaker from entering and obstruct the entire processes until everyone of them was “arrested” by the capitol police on speaker’s orders. BUT, that is what the dems would do and Collins and the rest will just sit and watch it all go down.

There’s a number of good folks who I think are doing a good job protecting the people. It’s important for the reader to realize that Gen. [Paul] Nakasone is part of the NSA leadership.

In case you don’t know Mark Warner is the head of one of the currupt committees in Congress (SSCI)

Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) is not happy with how the intelligence community is being treated. The vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said inappropriate political pressures are taking their toll on morale, though thus far the IC is holding firm in resisting them.

“Being the local guy, I hear from members of the community, I hear from recently retired members of the community on a regular basis, and they say that they do feel under assault,” Warner said on Agency in Focus: Intelligence Community. “I’ve not seen to date any evidence that anyone has bowed down to that pressure or that there’s been any attempt to cook the books. And for that, I’m grateful for people like Gina Haspel with the CIA and Gen. [Paul] Nakasone at [the National Security Agency]. … There’s a number of good folks who I think are doing a good job protecting the people.”

Unfortunately, Warner said, the ones above those people don’t appear to fully appreciate the work of the intelligence community.

REPORT: Deep State NSA and ATT Assisted Adam Schiff in Unprecedented Surveillance of Giuliani, Nunes and Reporter Solomon’s Phone Records (VIDEO)
by Jim Hoft December 5, 2019

On Thursday Laura Ingraham told her audience that the Deep State NSA willingly assisted Adam Schiff in his surveillance of a mainstream reporter and the President’s attorney. This raises all kinds of legal and ethical questions. This also proves once again that the US surveillance state has become an arm of the Democrat Party.

Laura Ingraham: Well my sources tonight told me that what Schiff did and his committee was he went to one of the cell phone companies, ATT, yes… They had some numbers. They didn’t know whose numbers they were. They asked them tell us what these numbers have been engaged in. What calls these numbers have been making and placing. They took that information. They went to the NSA. The NSA aka “Deep State” then gave them the information that it was Rudy and others… That is from extremely reliable sources.

Fred Fleitz then added that ATT willingly turned over the phone records to Democrat Adam Schiff, something that should not happen.

Cannot imagine that would even be hinted at IF he did not know what’s been going on.
      >If he suspected/knew, of course President Trump has known.
Also, President Trump made special note about his WH phone system a while back.

Knowing, timing, & using patience is a YUGE part of the swamp draining strategy; IMHO.
