I will never understand why our side doesn’t protest simply by calling a general strike and have the producers in this country simply stay home.No fuss, no muss, no hassle, no danger. And maybe no electricity or police or airplanes or anything else the takers are so accustomed to just having handed to them. It worked for Gandhi. It’s called peaceful resistance/non-cooperation with the liberal Establishment.

Hard to believe some clown want the O’bama era new normal, but there are all kinds of people out there.

Obama new normal was for the coastal elites …..who benefited in many ways namely when it came to Obamacare handouts. All around people in the South are use to getting the shaft from DC and big corporate companies. But I will take the South the way it is some what unspoiled by government intrusion. If only the Northern transplants would stop trying to impose their ways. I believe the nation would totally agree if Mitch McConnell stood in front of us and stated, “Because of how this so -called ‘impeachment inquiry’ has been conducted (and then list every damn single procedural anomaly, every single instance in which the minority, represented the people of America, were denied access to docs, ability to call witnesses, etc, etc, list every single violation of D. Trump’s civil rights), I refuse to accept the articles of impeachment.

My understanding is that Lindsay Graham’s resolution, which had 50 co-sponsors, does exactly that. The Senate Judiciary Committee will review the process by which the House produced articles of impeachment and if the process denied due process, the articles would be dismissed.

That being said, I think if it comes to it, the President would rather have a trial where he can put on a defense before a friendly court (hello, Hunter Biden) and the Federal Rules of Evidence would limit all these extraneous Democrat witnesses to only those who actually have firsthand knowledge.

As a non-lawyer reading Senate rules, the Senate trial is not bound or operates using the usual judicial norms of a “trial”, including Federal Rules of evidence. Procedural decisions are decided by majority vote, with the VP not allowed a vote to break a tie. So with the triad of Romney, Collins an Murkowski, who knows. As an aside, with those three voting, it seems 50-50 votes are possible, if the VP can’t vote, how are tie votes resolved…John Roberts?

    Is Parnas another “Carter Page”?

Is Chris Wray’s FBI wiretapping the Trump White House yet again?

Are the AT&T “subpoenas” just be cover to obscure the fact that the SDNY gave the records to Schiff? Questions, troubling questions that call for a song:

I am a lineman for the committee
And I spy my colleagues’ calls
Searchin’ your phone records for anything at all

I hear you talking through this wire
I can track you through wi-fi
    And the Washington lineman
    Is still on your line

    I know I need a small subpoena
But I write ’em as I please
And if I want your records
I just give my Enemies List to AT&T

And I tap you when I want to
And I want to all the time
    And the Washington lineman
    Is still on your line…

  25. Sherri Young says:

I suggest that we whip out the plastic today — as in December 5th — and make small donations to multiple candidates who are opposing Nanzi’s impeachment army.

Impact is not always measured in terms of total dollars collected. Another important metric is number of donors. Small donations are interpreted as grassroots support. This is an indicator that some of the larger prospective donors use to decide whether or not to give financial support to a new candidate. It is a sign of relevance and viability like the Iowa caucuses. A donation today can be picked up by the campaign as single-day giving in response to Nanzi’s impeachment push.

A few moments ago, I donated $10 to Nanzi’s GOP opponent, John Dennis. He does not appear to be MAGA/KAG aligned at all, but he is not Nanzi. Be aware that Nanzi has other opponents who are running to the left of her. California has jungle primaries. To get the likes of Nanzi, Schiff, Swalwell, Ted Lieu, Jackie Speier and more out of office and a conservative in, the primaries are key.

In NY, avoid Scherie Murray like the plague. She is a lib trying to run as a Republican against AOC.

    • Sherri Young says:

You can pick your targets to oppose here:

IMO, spending mountains of money for on-air advertising and Facebook ads will not be the right approach for conservatives in the districts currently held by Nanzi’s soviets. Nanzi is said to have a huge PAC by which she maintains loyalty. She cannot be outspent. Money poured into on-air and Facebook ads only funds the beast. This election cycle needs to be won by boots on the ground, face-to-face. Quit playing by their rules.

DAMN RIGHT, Sherri; you nailed it! I just gave to President Trump and will make a congressional contribution shortly to Sean Parnell who is running against Pretty Boy Connor Lamb in western PA. Small, frequent contributions are just as effective as large contributions and if you can contribute to a candidate running against a Dem in a Trump carried district, so much the better.

      • Sherri Young says:

What I suggested is small donations so that what really registers in the stats is the grassroots support. The small donations are read as support by people. People vote. It creates assumptions among the strategic number-crunchers.

The jurisdiction of each Cmte is defined in House Manual §714. Number and jurisdiction of standing committees, RULE X – ORGANIZATION OF COMMITTEES, Committees and their legislative jurisdictions.

Pelosi’s October “impeachment resolution” authorized proceedings for an existing investigation which has never been authorized. In that resolution:

Sec 2. For the purpose of continuing the investigation described in the first section of this resolution, the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence is authorized to conduct proceedings…

Sec 4. The House authorizes the Committee on the Judiciary to conduct proceedings relating to the impeachment inquiry referenced in the first section of this resolution…

Sec 1. Resolved, That the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Committees on Financial Services, Foreign Affairs, the Judiciary, Oversight and Reform, and Ways and Means, are directed to continue their ongoing investigations as part of the existing House of Representatives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power to impeach Donald John Trump, President of the United States of America.

Where is the authorization for these Committees to conduct investigations described in Section 1?

There is no authorization for the Committees on Financial Services, Foreign Affairs, Oversight and Reform, and Ways and Means to conduct an investigation. Yet Section 3 of this Resolution authorizes these Committees to transfer investigative materials to the Committee on the Judiciary.

There is no authorization for the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence to conduct an investigation, yet this Resolution authorizes the Committee to “conduct proceedings” to facilitate an existing unauthorized investigation.

There is no authorization for the Committee on the Judiciary to conduct an investigation, yet this Resolution authorizes the Committee to “conduct proceedings relating to” an existing unauthorized investigation.

The Resolution authorized proceedings for an existing investigation which has never been authorized.

Starting to appear the the strategy is to impeach PDJT, knowing he won’t be convicted in the Senate. Dems just want to dirty him up as much as possible and get to a point where they can use the word impeached president in association with PDJT’s name all throughout 2020 campaign and blame the Senate acquittal on partisan Repubs. Then they will unveil their “chosen” candidate, probably Killary herself. They are dirty and desperate.

The only other reason they would be impeaching w/o any direct evidence is if they had a commitment from 20+ Repubs to vote for conviction. I don’t see that at this point.
