House Republicans Release Rebuttal Review of Democrat Impeachment Effort….

In advance of the Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler and Lawfare Committee releasing a highly partisan HPSCI report to facilitate a political impeachment effort, the House republicans have provided a proactive 123 page rebuttal report [pdf link here] the media will ignore.

A good encapsulation paragraph within the executive summary: “The Democrats’ impeachment inquiry is not the organic outgrowth of serious misconduct; it is an orchestrated campaign to upend our political system. The Democrats are trying to impeach a duly elected President based on the accusations and assumptions of unelected bureaucrats who disagreed with President Trump’s policy initiatives and processes. They are trying to impeach President Trump because some unelected bureaucrats were discomforted by an elected President’s telephone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. They are trying to impeach President Trump because some unelected bureaucrats chafed at an elected President’s “outside the beltway” approach to diplomacy.

[link to House pdf version of report]

1. President Trump has a deep-seated, genuine, and reasonable skepticism of Ukraine due to its history of pervasive corruption.

2. President Trump has a long-held skepticism of U.S. foreign assistance and believes that Europe should pay its fair share for mutual defense.

3. President Trump’s concerns about Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board are valid. The Obama State Department noted concerns about Hunter Biden’s relationship with Burisma in 2015 and 2016.

4. There is indisputable evidence that senior Ukrainian govt officials opposed President Trump in 2016 and did so publicly. It has been reported that a DNC operative worked with Ukrainian officials, including the Ukrainian Embassy, to dig up dirt on then-candidate Trump.

5. The evidence does not establish that President Trump pressured Ukraine to investigate Burisma Holdings, Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, or Ukrainian influence in the 2016 election for the purpose of benefiting him in the 2020 election.

6. The evidence does not establish that President Trump withheld a meeting with President Zelensky for the purpose of pressuring Ukraine to investigate Burisma Holdings, Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, or Ukrainian influence in the 2016 election.

7. The evidence does not support that President Trump withheld U.S. security assistance to Ukraine for the purpose of pressuring Ukraine to investigate Burisma Holdings, Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, or Ukrainian influence in the 2016 election.

8. The evidence does not support that President Trump orchestrated a shadow foreign policy apparatus for the purpose of pressuring Ukraine to investigate Burisma Holdings, Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, or Ukrainian influence in the 2016 election.

9. The evidence does not support that President Trump covered up the substance of his telephone conversation with President Zelensky by restricting access to the call summary.

10. President Trump’s assertion of longstanding claims of executive privilege is a legitimate response to an unfair, abusive, and partisan process, and does not constitute obstruction of a legitimate impeachment inquiry.

SUMMARYThe evidence does NOT prove the Democrats’ allegations that President Trump abused his authority to pressure Ukraine to investigate his potential political rival, Vice President Joe Biden, for President Trump’s benefit in the 2020 presidential election.

That argument is totally moot until the House actually proposes and/or passes the legislation you describe. Until that point in time, the House has technically committed no legal transgressions. The courts have no say in a matter of a conflict between two branches of the government acting within their constitutional authority.

All of their transgressions are vs customs, parliamentary procedure and their own legislated process under HR660.

      • Oh yes, you can! Unlike the British, the Founders of this nation did not name “maladministration” as a valid cause for impeachment. They stipulated “high crimes and misdemeanors,” but did not give Congress judicial powers. They did not intend that the President would serve at the pleasure of Congress. And, they expressly prohibited what this Congressional action actually is: a “Bill of Attainder.” The House has no lawful prerogative to pass any Articles of Impeachment.

So, yes, this thing is going to have to be taken to the Supreme Court and there called out by its true name, so that both this President and all future Presidents (and Supreme Court justices) will not continue to face these attacks on their Constitutional sovereignty.

is an impeachable offense what the House declares it to be? Wide berth under high crimes and misdemeanors, especially with a DOJ opinion that a sitting POTUS cannot be indicted.

seemingly, a ruling would have to define those parameters. I’m not sure the court will want that task, nor should they. Hasn’t the court opted for political solutions via the ballot box?

perhaps I’m wrong, maybe an activist court sits waiting for a hit at this pinata.

          • No, the House does not have unbridled discretion to decide what a “high crime” is. Congressmen and lifetime government staffers might not like what the two Presidents said to each other, but the House has no power to decide that this constitutes a criminal offense, without due process of law.

The POTUS certainly can be indicted if he committed a crime, although the special powers and role of the Presidency mean that the crime must be exceptional since the President alone can do many things that would be crimes if anyone else did them.

My concern is simply that “no President, present nor future, serves at the pleasure of Congress.” And this is exactly what these people are now trying to do. The President is a one-person co-equal branch. The independence of the Office must be preserved.

So you want the President to serve at the pleasure of the Soopremes? Justices for life? I’ll take my chances with a House that stands for election every two years.
Besides the Senate by two thirds is needed to convict.
The original Supreme Court had No juridiction to even decide if laws were constitutional, but used a Boomeranged decision in Marburg v Madison to start the setting of Precedents and today let 9 lawyers in Black robes control Congress and the President.
A Republic??? We lost it before it got started, then it rolled downhill, took 250 years to get to “Our Demoncrazy”.
Giving the Soopremes even more power is worse, if that’s possible. Nine lawyers can decide what You must do, obey, and comply with under threat of unlimited force and duress. They Are the Constitution now, making uncontestable laws in their wake.

Impeachment in general is contemplated by the Constitution. Arguing that a lawful impeachment is a Bill of Attainder won’t fly.

Up until the Senate votes to convict, I doubt you could use a Bill of Attainder defense.

Now, let’s say that the House votes to impeach because Trump wears red bowties. And the Senate trial finds Trump guilty of wearing red bowties and votes to convict him (of a non-crime) and remove him from office. And let’s say RBG presided over a crooked Senate trial. Then what? You argue that there was no “high crime or misdemeanor” and it becomes a court battle.

I would not be so willing to consider that off the table.

if there ARE dimensions of this saga that place an imperative to addressing a constitutional interpretation..I can think of may scenrios, including several that have already occured.

then yes, SCOTUS would be the proper remedy..

if they will hear any case, is a different story.

Here is something that is actually happenig right now:

SCOTUS is actually taking a case wrt gun conrtol laws from a case in NY. It’s important to realize they took this case, even though the law has been modified that makes the argument before it moot. And YET, they HAVE chosen the hear it regardless.

what that shows me, that SCOTUS has enormous discretion about what it will and will not take on..both from a constitutional precedent and a logical rational view, it makes no sense for SCOTUS to even hear the case. And YET..they have chosen to go forward anyway. I find that very interesting…

so, before we assume whether the supreme court would become a party in this impeachment least to address some of the law that is being considered..I think it is reasonable to leave that on the table as a probability..could go either way.

this latest case, even shows SCOTUS moves in ways that are seemingly at odds with just about anything they have done in the past.

        So, stay tuned.

I think it would be a good opportunity also to address the political remedy from a constitutional perspective. A lawful perspective.

Because we hear things like “crimes”…”misconduct”..”bribery” “extortion” “collusion” “obstruction” “due process” “evidence” “hearsay” etc.

        these are legally defined terms…

and yet congress would choose not to take this matter to a courtroom to hear these case of criminality..

that is problematic to me at a fundamental level.

high crimes and misdeamnors actually have a legal definition if you read the constitution.

        namely, bribery.

but it is also broad enough that other crimes and misconduct can be it should.

however, when congress goes literally off the reservation and attempts to make claims over crimes that have no evidence to prove them in any can this function for the legal remedy, much less a higher standard implied by the constitution of the impeachment procedures?

I will remind everyone reading this to examine the articles of impeachment for all three former president in our history before this saga.

you will find the legal words describing “crimes”, were ONLY criminal statutes that would otherwise be pursued in a criminal/civil court room.

you can’t for instance, charge a president under impeachment powers, for smelling funny..

and this goes back to due process…how can you hurdle the high bar of due process in impeachment of a president, if the same evidence shown thus far, would never have a chance in any normal court of law?

furthermore, it is clear the prosecutors here have committed several prosecutorial misconduct and manipulation of the law…

I think SCOTUS has a role here.

and it will certainly have a role, after this disaster unfolds and certain members of congress face impeachment can be sure they will be looking to SCOTUS for a ruling that aids their defense of the indefensible misconduct they have created.

The process the Democrats are using to impeach President Trump is consciously designed to raise serious constitutional questions about what methods and means can be used by the House of Representatives to indict a president for ‘high crimes and misdemeanors.

IMHO, the House is certain to pass articles of impeachment in late 2019 or early 2020, whenever it is that Nancy Pelosi comes to believe believe the time is right. Once the articles of impeachment have been passed, Pelosi and her staff of lawfare group lawyers fully expect the articles to be challenged in the courts.

A lengthy court review will keep the impeachment narrative alive throughout the winter of 2020 and possibly into the spring. The Democrats and the MSM are gambling they can maintain control of the impeachment narrative all through that time.

If the courts side with the Democrats, they win big in that they have established a means of keeping any future president from deviating too far from the political and social agenda the Speaker of the House sets for the federal government.

In other words, if the courts rule that House passage of the articles of impeachment has followed a constitutionally valid process, then a precedent has been established which has the ultimate effect of greatly weakening the power of the Executive Branch relative to what the constitution actually intends.

If the Senate refuses to take up articles of impeachment and instead waits for the courts to rule on their constitutionality, the Democrats will paint the Senate Republicans as being complicit with the president in obstructing justice. The Democratic Party Senators now running for the Democrat’s 2020 nomination will be free to campaign all during that time.

On the other hand, if the Senate does take up the articles of impeachment immediately, without waiting for the courts to decide the constitutional issues — while knowing that the president had not been afforded anything resembling due process in the House — then precedent will be set that any president can be thwarted from pursuing his or her agenda by threats of impeachment regardless of how flimsy or contrived is the evidence.

It has been clear for some time now that Nancy Pelosi and her staff of hired lawfare gunslingers have a well thought-out plan for impeaching the president.

Their primary goal is to energize and motivate the true blue Democratic Party faithful for the 2020 election. If they can also severely weaken the power of the Executive Branch relative to the Congress at the same time they are attacking President Trump, so much the better as far as they are concerned.

          Good comment, Battleship.

I’ve been pondering the possibility of Supreme Court intervention for a few week now.

My current thinking is that President Trump allows the farce to proceed. If he is impeached by the House, it will be entirely unconstitutional since he didn’t commit “treason, bribery, high crime or misdemeanor”. The vote also jeapordises ~32 Dem House Candidates in Trump States, particularly if they voted for it.

The Senate will then host the Trial, keeping 6 Dem Presidential Candidates stuck there, while more publicly exposing the Dem lies and farcical process.

Trump then wins in a 2020 landslide.

THEN he makes an application to the Supreme Court for a declaration that the House finding was unconstitutional (unless he’s forced to Appeal the House decision within 28 days, but since its outside the Judicial Branch before that, I’m assuming no time limits apply).

          • Battleship Wisconsin says:

Christine, it’s far more likely than not that Nancy Pelosi’s lawfare group of hired guns have wargamed the possible post-impeachment Trump response scenarios and have concluded that there are significant benefits to their plan regardless of which way President Trump eventually chooses to go after the articles of impeachment have been passed against him.

That’s why the Democrats in the House have used an impeachment process they know will probably be challenged in the courts and which will probably not be taken up by the Senate for a trial until the courts have decided the question of the constitutionality of the House process.

If the impeachment process used in the House is eventually held to be unconstitutional by the courts, then at the very least, House Democrats have satisfied the true blue Democrat party faithful that a strong effort had been made to remove Donald Trump prior to the 2020 election, and that a massive Democratic Party turnout for the election itself is the only means left for getting him out of the Oval Office.

        • Krashman Von Stinkputin says:

Pelosi and her staff of lawfare group lawyers fully expect the articles to be challenged in the courts.

Not sure how ARTICLES could even be challenged but the PROCESS is already there……
          while Schiff claimed he
“didn’t want to play rope-a-dope in the courts”
(why would he when he gets to be a king)
The other dope-chairman Krispy Kreme-ran off to the courts before Pelosi’s dropped mic hit the floor when she unilaterally announced her “Impeachment Inquiry”
citing that announcement ALONE as justification to get
          McGahn and Mueller’s 6E material
These are before the appellate courts now and will no doubt get bumped to SCOTUS.
Putting the Pelosi Impeachment Inquiry PROCESS of Impeachment under the microscope
which for a variety of reasons should go down HARD.

And namely for the PRECEDENT that would be SET:
The Speaker of the House will have become
the MOST POWERFUL PERSON in the government.
An INDIVIDUAL that can unilaterally announce an “Impeachment Inquiry” and rechristen any Committee Chairman to function as a Special Counsel, Judge and Juror in a
          “Grand Jury” proceeding
And do so based on MALADMINISTRATION.
NOT AT ALL what the Founder’s intended.

The Nanster may actually welcome that as it may be
HER WAY OUT OF THIS Ukraine MESS Schiff CLEARLY got her into:
Either a Senate Trial or going back to Square One in the House would be a bigger disaster.

I hope so. I hope they delve into congressional powers, because congress has oversight not judicial or investigative powers. There are mechanisms for granting both, but those mechanisms were not employed. For instance, they could have appointed a special counsel or formed a special committee, both options were considered for Benghazi.

This “impeachment” differs from the 3 others in that in each of the 3 there were clearly defined crimes. Congress created the law (tenure of office), to ensure Johnson violated it, a law later found to be unconstitutional and congressional overreach by SCOTUS. They also had articles about Johnson’s demeanor. Johnson’s impeachment was a pure partisan play and most closely mirrors what is currently happening.

With Nixon and Clinton there were underlying crimes, opinions differ as to whether said crimes constituted high crimes. There was a special prosecutor/independent counsel in those cases. The investigation was undertaken by the special counsel NOT by the house. In both cases the house acted on the findings.

Bringing those points out and also going over separation of power and article II executive duties would be the avenues I would explore, but who knows how much time they’ll be allowed or how many points of order, etc. will eat up what little time they have. It’s clear the D’s have made up their minds, so any questions are for the public’s consumption to sway opinion. Still if their so called experts are honest, there is no way to defend this farce.

Hit them until they don’t get up again, that’s the only things anyone should expect from Republicans, Conservatives, Independents, Libertarians — whoever has or claims to have loyalty to the Republic.

That being said, who are the coup participants, the complete roster? Not just the corrupt bureaucrats and dem elected loons and hacks. I’ve had this nagging feeling that they are not going to put all this effort into ANYTHING with so much potential downside unless they’re being forced to, or have a substantial payback within reach (quid pro quo).

Are there also unseen hands that stand to gain the most from PT’s removal from office? Cynicism tells me money is involved and has more gravitational pull then preserving obama’s fundamental transformation which is really about power. The multinationals, wall street… ? If the dems crash and burn as spear carriers for the unseen hands they are gone for a while but the use hands remain. Should we at least connect the dots and identify them as the REAL THREAT to our way of life?

It would be truly historic if this mess is all about (insanely misguided) people willing to oh, i dunno, set this kind of standard for all future presidents or to commit sedition or even treason for an ideal in this day and age in DC. I would further point out that we have a mutual cooperation agreement with Ukraine regarding criminal activity. There appears to be suspicious behavior involving past Ukraine leaders who may have participated in illegal transactions involving US taxpayer dollars. President Trump would violate that agreement, and his oath of office, if he did not request cooperation from Ukraine.

Then there is Crowdstrike and its owners involvement in our electoral politics.

You are right Peter. The Repubs need to fight back and show no mercy as the coup and illegal activity in Ukraine are brought into the light.

My point was that even if 3, 6, 9, or to be gracious, 12 Republican Reps. are “all in”, where are the other 185 Republicans in congress? Hiding under their desk, sucking their thumb, and waiting for the next leftist pollster to tell them they are on the right side by kowtowing to Democrats.

  19. The most bizarre aspect of the Democrats’ present Ukraine-based angle is simply that they wish to utterly ignore “Biden’s Boast.” In their Swampy world-view, there’s really nothing wrong with the Vice-President of the United States boasting that he obstructed Ukranian justice against his son and used billions of dollars in US Aid as the big-stick. No impeachable offense there. But, for the President to even suggest that the man might need to be investigated … 😱 … that’s the “high crime” of interfering with the 2020 election in which no one is the official opposing candidate! (“Engaging at least six foreign governments to interfere with the 2016 election” is, once again, no problem at all.)

Our Constitution expressly prohibits exactly what this really is – a Bill of Attainder, where the legislature on its own authority declares someone’s actions to be a crime and punishes them for that crime without a trial. This is the Constitutional crisis that must be expressly confronted so that present and future Presidents do not have to continue to face it.

Great resource. I suggest that everybody keep this, or a similar resource handy. And read up on it.

Another great resource is your browser’s find on page function. Type in a word and hit search and it will let you browse through every instance of that word on the page you are looking at. (I sometimes browse for Sundances comments.)

Now, having given those tools, impeachment is neither a bill nor a law. So impeachment cannot be a bill of attainder. Neither is clearly defined. So check them out in the Constitution, research them, and think about it.

Secondly. Impeachment is what the House says it is. The House has the SOLE power of impeachment. Definitely worth researching what it meant at the time the Constitution was written, and what it meant in British jurisprudence prior to the revolution.

It would be interesting to see if the Court would trump the Houses SOLE power using Ammendments. Would 6th Amendment rights apply in the House, or only in the Senate Trial? It would be better if the question never comes up, but the House has taken us there, overruling all past precedent of fair process in their rush to rig an impeachment.

But the intended protection against abuse by the House is the Senate, and its need for a 2/3rds vote. Impeachment is nothing if the Senate does not convict. And, since the Senate has the SOLE power to try an impeachment, doing so is totally up to them. There is nothing the House can do to make the Senate hold a trial.

Another protection is the fact that the entire House is up for reelection every 2 years. When these idiots go around saying impeachment is political, they get the political part wrong. They think it is simply political smearing by other means. In reality it is the power to undo our vote, and meant to be used only in necessity. Do it wrong, and pay the political price for trying to deny us our chosen President.

Finally, there are certain things that require removal of a President, etc.. should he be impeached and convicted for doing them. Otherwise the Senate does not have to impose any judgement. So it is conceivable that a President could be impeached for jaywalking and convicted but not removed from office.

Please read up. Definitely weigh my statements against the actual words in the Constitution. And do the same to everything else you read or hear about it.

The best defense, IMHO, is that there actually WAS Ukraine corruption.
Section 3, Clause 5 of Article Two of the Constitution affirms that the President’s duty is to faithfully enforce the laws.

15 U.S.C. §§ 78dd-1, is a law of the United States. The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
This law could easily apply to Biden withholding aid pending the firing of a foreign official by Joe Biden, as his son was the recipient of the benefits of the threats Joe Biden made. Further, ignoring crackhead Biden, the beneficiary of Biden’s bribe are Ukraine businesspeople and Ukraine lawmakers. And one former Ukrainian lawmaker AND businessman.

Trump had a Constitution duty, as well as a statutory duty, as well as a duty under the Ukraine-US treaty to make sure US foreign aid was not being used for a corrupt purpose.

So, that Presidential duty requires Trump to investigate the corrupt use of foreign campaign dollars. There’s plenty of evidence to properly warrant an investigation. Probable cause is given by the Bidens’ financial records, Joe Biden video, testimony by various other witnesses, etc. We have US state department personnel dictating who should be prosecuted and who should not be prosecuted which also could be based on the withholding of foreign aid, constituting a crime under the FCPA.

Weigh that against whatever federal law prohibits a President from abusing his power to investigate or harass a political opponent. On its face, the fact that Trump asked for a foreign power to investigate the Bidens does not rise to the level of impeachable offense. In fact, it’s legally very defensible. Let’s stop with the games about who saw what and who “felt” like Trump was wrong, and focus on Trump’s duties and obligations. Let’s weigh the facts and circumstances. Let’s look at the US’s best interests.

Is violating election law a high crime and misdemeanor? No. In fact, Obama’s campaign has still not returned campaign contributions in violation of the law prohibiting foreign countries from donating. Given the fungible nature of money, accusing a political opponent of corruption without cause could at best be viewed as a request for a foreign campaign contribution. Worthy of a hefty fine if fount without probable cause or purely for political purposes.

But, Biden is barely a front runner. Arguably, he’s running solely to exempt himself from federal prosecution. No DNC candidate has been chosen, so we need to examine who exactly political opponents are. Further, there is evidence showing Biden should not even be eligible to run had he been properly impeached during his tenure as VP.

At best, you have a massive mess of conflicting federal law, which the President is required to do his best to uphold. With 30+ degenerate leftists running for President, it’s hard to argue that Biden represents a significant political opponent. Given the timing of his announcement, one day after Ambassador Yovanovich was fired – arguably for protecting the corruption and violating federal law – it could be argued that Biden is only running to proffer the defense that he is a “political opponent” immune to investigation.

However, there is no federal statute prohibiting criminals from being investigated because they’re running for federal office.

Given the weight of everything, there’s no high crime or misdemeanor committed by Trump in exercising his Constitutional duties.

This is a fact. I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears.

What is one to make of the first reference to the Russian Federation, in this Republican Dossier, as follows:
“The Democrats’ impeachment narrative also ignores President Trump’s steadfast support for Ukraine in its war against Russian occupation.”

While such doublespeak and propaganda neither helps nor hurts Trump [strictly, that is, in terms of ImpeachmentGate], my question is, what is the point of it — seriously?

The Republican Dossier, on this point, is actually a disaster.

It was Obama/Biden/Kerry, etc. that, after, as Victoria Nuland has said, US and company spent $5 Billion over the years to make Ukraine a compliant US vassal state — culminating in Obama’s 2014 overthrow of the democratically elected Ukraine government’s president — exactly the type and kind of action candidate Trump expressly campaigned against! [And exactly the kind of action the forces against Trump hope to do to him.]

Who the hell fo these Reptile Republicans in Congress think they are fooling? They obviously share that Obama/Biden fiasco — it’s right here in black and white — exactly aligned with the Corrupt Obama Regime’s Regime change policy.

These RRs — unlike Trump — talk about, with crocodile tears “Ukraine in its war against Russian occupation.”

Obama, and his cronies in 2014 right up to now, talk about Russia occupy and invading Ukraine — and these Republican jackasses go right along with it.

That is one perspective, honest, and accurate, or not.

The fact of the matter is Crimea was a possession of Russian Empire since the 1700s — before the United States became a sovereign nation. And the fact of the matter is that, following the corrupt Obama/Biden coup in Kiev, circa Feb/March 2014, the autonomous Crimea, which had their own parliament, actually chose to secede from the Ukraine, and a referendum was held, and Crimeans said see you later to the Ukraine — and to the designs on them by Obama/Biden, etc [and we can now add such low lifes as Vidman, dear Eric, Fiona Hill, the fired US Ambassador to Ukriane, Sondland too, etc. ad nauseum].

Either our unctuous Republican congressmen, as expressed in their dossier, are ignorant, or don’t care that they are making fools of themselves — along with — like the Democrats — subverting Trump’s actual foreign policy wishes.

The Republican Dossier concludes with a statement like it’s right out of the Steele Dossier.

They at least should have said so in a footnote; perhaps they did not because many Republicans, obviously, believe some of what is in the Steele Dossier — now using that in their own writing.

Why are these RRs obsessed — as was Obama/Biden — with US-Ukraine relations, to the point that both Obama/ Biden and the RRs are on the same page, in key respects?

“The unfortunate collateral damage of the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry is the harm done to bilateral US-Ukraine relations, the FULFILLMENT OF RUSSIAN PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN’S DESIRE TO SOW DISCORD WITH THE UNITED STATES, and the opportunity costs to the American people. [emphasis added by me]” — the RR Dossier states.

Given what we know now, it is unconscionable the RRs would have written something like this, but I thank them for exposing themselves for what they are.

Given what we know now, it is baleful what the Steele Dossier says [more so compared to the RR Dossier] — Steele Dossier, written by his boss, and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Simpson, et. als. stated (alleged) an explicit quid pro quo:
[[[[ The reason for using Wikileaks was “plausible deniability” and the operation had been conducted with the full knowledge and support of TRUMP and senior members of his campaign team. In return, the TRUMP team had agreed to sideline Russian intervention in Ukraine as a campaign issue and to raise US/NATO defence committments in the Baltics and Eastern Europe to deflect attention away from Ukriane, a priority for PUTIN who needed to cauterise the subject. ]]]] — Steele Dossier says

The only cauterising was Obama/Biden Clan, who claimed their overthrow of a democratically elected government in Ukaine was not the military coup engineered with our CIA, and State Department — exactly the two agencies who put up our Dear Eric to try and destroy Trump, in the DeepState/Borg’s latest attack on our Constitutional Republic.

The very first line of Steele Dossier makes it quite clear this was a British Plot, to save the world from a man, Pres. Trump, who believes in America First, and what the rest of the world does is their business:
[[[[ Russia Regime has been cultivating, supporting and assisting TRUMP for at least 5 years. Aim, endorsed by PUTIN, has been to encourage splits and divisions in western alliance.]]]]

Speaking of Steele Dossier believers, there is the example of Byron York [I don’t know what his background is, there is nothing online that shows any of what he did before entering Washington DC two decades or so ago; can’t even find out if he’s married, for instance. . . .]

These are a couple examples, underscoring York’s Faith in Steele Dossier written by Mr. and Mrs. G. Simpson:

“In Trump-Russia, the underlying crime — the DNC hack — was committed by Russians in Russia without any involvement of the Trump campaign.” [from last month, written by York as his opinion]

and from this morning via Twitter:

[[[[Here’s a factual statement some find impossible to accept: 1) Russia attemped to influence US 2016 election in big, organized, government-run way. 2) In much smaller, less systematic way, Ukrainian officials tried to influence the US election.
    9:07 AM – 2 Dec 2019]]]]

It’s long past time that the scoundrels inside DC and New York have all their propaganda power and influence massively cut back, so that our country gets information more in keeping with who we are.

This outrageous concentration of propaganda spewing from this pair of media centers is not only destructive of democracy, it is insidious for our mental health. These snake oil peddlers. Why do we allow this?

    • American Heritage says:

It’s time to examine whether seditious propaganda is or is not protected by the 1st Amendment. How is it that we are unable to call out sedition when government officials, among others, are clearly trying to tear apart and nullify the principles that are the legal foundation of our country?

      • arze says:

Congressional Republicans are implicitly and/or explicitly, as shown in their Dossier, taking it upon themselves to alter what President Trump has stated should be American foreign policy — and because they are Republicans, we are not supposed to notice?

These Rs are doing exactly the same thing they are accusing Democrats of.

And they are also using double speak and propaganda and they are corrupt for doing so. [Sections of this Republican Dossier, Vindman may as well have written, for crying out loud.]

I can’t blame any politician for wanting leverage over another politician; however, these seditious Republicans also comprise a Fifth Column. They have freedom of Expression to lie and deceive the people. And try and lie and deceive our president, under the guise of coming to his aid. With friends like this, who need enemies?

They don’t care about Trump at all, and being fools and buffoons, they, like their Democrat Brethren, have let the cat out of the bag — they don’t care about our country precisely because they don’t care about our Constitution.

Whether they are complete clowns or sinister actors at this point is irrelevant: they took an oath and have violated it, every one of them who signed onto this Dossier of theirs. Maybe they all should have read it before pumping out more evidence of their own perfidy.

Were I Nadler, I would open whatever monkey and clown show he is planning and state unequivocally — reading straight from the Republican Dossier — exactly each point these Republican Reptiles agree with and, as it were, that: “Verify” the Steele Dossier.

It is outrageous what these Republicans did. And they did it on purpose. And they love the Swamp more than they care for we the people.

The only silver lining is the more we see of this moral turpitude, the more folks of all stripes and persuasions will sacrifice to take back our country. . . .. and that is a long and painful and bitter road we have ahead of us….

  32. “The Democrats’ impeachment inquiry is not the organic outgrowth of serious misconduct; it is an orchestrated campaign to upend our political system. The Democrats are trying to impeach a duly elected President based on the accusations and assumptions of unelected bureaucrats who disagreed with President Trump’s policy initiatives and processes.”
An attempt to overthrow the elected government of the United States by internal enemy forces, financially supported by foreign entities.

There is one remedy to this madness. It is called the ballot box. Unfortunately, not only is vote fraud widespread, vote registration fraud is even more widespread. No voter id, motor voter registration, not cleaning up the rolls for people who moved or died, etc. And it really matters in the swing states.

There is also the problem that nearly half of the people in this country are FOR impeachment. How in the hell does that happen when there has clearly been no crime committed? It’s because the people are not hearing the truth from the media.

The best example is the Mueller report which CLEARLY said “No one in the Trump campaign or ANY American colluded with Russia in the 2016 election.” Yet the Speaker of the House, Democrat elected officials, and the media itself consistently still claim Trump colluded with Russia. Therefore many people believe that although it is clearly a lie and pure propaganda.

This won’t be solved for Republicans until the media is held to account.

Democrats oppose things like states removing voters who no longer live in that state.

      Oh, the horror!

Keep pushing, Democrats. I’ve seen a lot of anti-Civil War 2.0 articles lately, but we’re not going to acquiesce to this evil without a comeuppance. Mark that down.

  35. Now maybe more and more people are finally seeing for themselves what I have been saying for years. The Democrat party and the left are the enemy of the USA. An enemy more dangerous than Russia and China combined. More dangerous than any army ever assembled against us.

They have undermined every norm and institution in this country. They have celebrated and supported every sort of perversion known to man. They have attacked our Judeo-Christian founding. They have declared war on our churches, our morals, and our rights. They are actively trying to convince our sons to become homosexuals or to mutilate themselves and call themselves females. They are telling our girls that they must share bathrooms and locker rooms with perverts and child molesters. That our daughters must compete against males calling themselves females.

The enemy needs to be thoroughly and completely annihilated. Destroyed completely so that not even their memory is left alive. They and anyone supporting them need to be fully eradicated. The time for live and let live has passed. Because the enemy has been trying to destroy us for years. And they are getting bolder and more determined than ever. To the point that we are now being attacked and hunted down. Their only step left against us is to outright murder us.

Tonight Tucker Carlson reported on his show that American oligarchs such as Tom Steyer are pouring rivers cash into electing far left politicians at all levels of government who believe in actively dismantling the rule of law and civic order at every level of government.
Who are these people and what do they think they are doing? What is threir ultimate goal?

      • American Heritage says:

My mistake: Tucker Carlson didn’t mention Tom Steyer in this segment of tonight’s show. . Rather he called out George Soros and others of that ilk as those who fund candidates who disregard the rule of law.

True. They have been working on this for a century now.

First, what you describe as “the enemy” needs to be exposed. Socialism is a worldwide movement that has existed for a long time. I recommend that everyone learn the strategies of Fabian Socialism (the wolf in sheep’s clothing) and the Frankfurt School. Their surreptitious plan was and is to undermine and corrupt existing institutions, They have succeeded.

After more than a century of covert action, Socialism is now openly expressed and accepted. Americans re-elected Obama and his radical transformation of America. They voted for him, just as the German people elected Hitler.

Face it: at least half of America has embraced the multi-faceted ideology of Socialism, including cultural Marxism, even though they dislike the Socialist label. We have met the enemy – and it is us.

If this trend is to be halted and reversed, it needs to be done through education. This is all the more difficult (if not impossible) with the left controlling the educational system. More than two generations have been indoctrinated, and it continues unabated. Those people will vote in ever larger numbers in the future.

If the trend continues, it has been presumed it will lead to a civil war. This is not likely. It won’t be citizen against citizen, it will be citizens against the government. That is known as a revolt – or a REVOLUTION.

Dangerous and terrifying times in our United States. The very fact my President VSGDJT hints at SCOTUS for a decision regarding this impeachment charade is very disturbing to me. It”s the first time I question if he actually has the goods on the deep state or was it just a threat? Why would he need to depend on SCOTUS for a decision? Trying to remain hopeful but it’s getting harder every day.

  38. In the Land of Poz says:

Does the report rule out the possibility that testimony (withheld until now) from the higher-ups at State Dept, OMB and White House could support the Democrat theory of the case? If not, it’s irrelevant.

We know that the substance of a quid pro quo did not transpire. This does not rule out Trump having commanded his subordinates to arrange a quid pro quo, calling it off after some resistance or for whatever other reason, then providing rationalizations only after the reports of a “whistleblower” in late August.

The argument Republicans should be making is that it was right and proper for Trump to seek information on whether the Vice President was compromised by foreign entities. There is nothing wrong with that goal or seeking to accomplish it by QPQ that makes it one of the requirements for handing aid to Ukraine.

HR660 is a Bill. It is intended to exclude President Trump from his current employment.
    Interesting argument.
In United States v. Lovett, 328 U.S. 303 (1946), the Court confronted a federal law that named three people as subversive and excluded them from federal employment.
The Court found the bill unlawful since it deprived the three of due process.

  43. FreedomLover says:

This report is excellent. Good to have in terms of a historical marker, easy for anyone to understand for all who want to know more or both sides, and persuasive. The staff writers are really good.

So, if Ukraine hadn’t been used to construct dirt against opponents of Clinton for the 2016 election, and if corrupt US politicians weren’t involved in making money off ventures in Ukraine before and around the 2016 election, would the phone call be the focus and would Ukraine be the focus of the impeachment inquiry? Or is this entire thing being done to obscure and hide all of the corruption? Could this really have all been pre-planned? I thought not, that it was a dynamic change in plans, but perhaps they had something pre-planned because the understood their massive exposure when Trump was elected.

Perhaps we’re seeing multiple plots play out to cover multiple misdeeds.

Can we foresee other troubles that must be covered up by going on the offensive? Could they really juggle multiple at one time? Or has someone decided that they must be allowed to cover up one at a time at the time of this person’s choosing?

  44. Pokey says:

Here will be my comment on every blog that promotes impeachment:

If the Democrats impeach Trump, I will proudly vote for Trump and I will vote against any other Democrat that I find on my ballot. What they are doing is tearing up Our Constitution and it is being done to advance their present political interests. This is abominable for any American political party. I used to like to think I am fair minded in my approach to voting, but I can not abide this destruction of the only document that has ever been based on the idea that The People could govern themselves. And screw these anti-American billionaires who are controlling the media and financing the onetime freedom loving Democrats.

I am just sick of all of this nonsense from the whole political class. They should all go back to work, like the rest of us.

After reading through the comments, I am left thinking how ridiculous this all sound—as if you can still work within the law to right the ship of state. How quaint.
That option has long since expired—never before has there been so much evidence to convict so many criminals, who instead have been left free to roam, write books, take bribes and otherwise enrich themselves, get hired by a captured, corrupt media, lie and spit in our faces, flip elections, free to subvert the Executive branch at every turn—all the while being cheered on by the marxist half of the country.
Yes, let’s take them to court, shall we?
