Day Five Impeachment Hearings – Fiona Hill and David Holmes – 9:00am ET Livestreams…

Today begins day five of the House impeachment hearings.  Testimony today will include Fiona Hill, President Trump’s top adviser on Russia; and David Holmes, a very sketchy State Department fellow whose wife, Stephanie Holmes, also works at the State Dept; holding a previous assignment with former Ukraine Ambassador Yovanovitch.

The foreign service office is one big internecine anti-MAGA network of mutually aligned career interests, and hard-core political operatives.  The fiasco starts at 9:00am EDT

Noted Holmes said he had heard about investigations in March. Biden didn’t announce he was running until April. So much for dirt on a political rival.

I did a lot of reading yesterday, trying to get a timeline. Biden was making public statements in March that he was considering running. On March 31 Zelensky (the unknown) and Poroshenko (the incumbent who Biden had dealt with) were the top two finishers in the 1st round of Ukraine elections. On Apr 21 Zelenskny won the election and became the new President. On Apr 25 Biden announced his candidacy. I’m almost convinced there’s a connection. Poroshenko was probably never going to investigate the Bidens, but Zelensky could be convinced to do it.

That’s how these foreign service slugs worked, there was an article on Americanthinker by a former CIA agent who previously applied for a job post in the State department. In his interview the person who interviewed him came in late and then spent hours talking about himself. He latter learnt that the interview was actually a brilliant move because it was literally how life in the state department is and they are testing if he has the patience to survive it.

They are both people who sit around all day playing with their goodies. A wanker does so without getting “the job” done; the tosser does so while still able to “get the spunk”, as it were. If my instincts are correct, Pelosi will call the vote. She has no choice. She’s too far down the rabbit hole at this point. When she loses that she’ll throw Schiff under the bus and replace him as chair of HPSCI probably with one of the Black women on the committee to try to do damage control. We will enjoy many weeks of Trump trolling Schiff. He probably will not run again. Many of the freshman Trump district Dems will move over to GOP. It makes perfect sense. If they do that at first of year so they can run as Republicans in their districts then it will give the GOP majority and there will be a call for a vote of new speaker mid-term. ( Also the Dems will have to either scramble to get other candidates or cede those districts unopposed.) McCarthy will win the Speakership, unfortunately, and Pelosi will spend the next year shredding docs and cleaning up her own corruption while in office (hint- to save her son Paul who is another Hunter Biden). She will retire at the end of term.
Lindsey the Liar Graham will also retire at the end of his term. He’s already given hints with his retiring from Finance chair at start of 2020. I believe he hopes to stretch this out without hearings and testimony of any import til then as a gift to John McCain and his family (who are also up to their fat rears in the Ukrainian rape). And I believe that Sean Hannity will literally destroy him for the next year because of his obfuscations. Future is zilch.

And one more prediction. Matt Drudge will come out of the closet and marry his long time boyfriend after 2020 if not before. While I rarely go on his site anymore, when I do it’s all about impeach Trump and Mayor Butt immaculation. (another hint- when Drudge met with Trump in the WH and left mad, I can almost guarantee Trump said something off hand about Drudge’s lover that po’ed him). This is personal for Drudge.

Oh and one last thing. I know this is going to sound shocking but I also believe that there is an active plot to assassinate Trump before the 2020 election (and possibly others who have stepped up to the plate for Trump). These people are fighting for their very physical and political survival and the only way left out for them is to get rid of the problem. If they can’t do it one way, they will do it another. It will cause civil war but they don’t care. They will be on a scorched earth mission like an abusive husband. If they can’t have the country, then no one can. They have waited this long to singularly rule this country and nothing is going to get in their way. So be ready.

The Civilian Government Doesn’t Owe Deference to Military Officers
    20 Nov 2019

    https://mises.org/power-market/civilian-government-doesnt-owe-deference-military-officers

On Tuesday, Congressional impeachment hearings exposed an interesting facet of the current battle between Donald Trump and the so-called deep state: namely, that many government bureaucrats now fancy themselves as superior to the elected civilian government.

In an exchange between Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and Alexander Vindman, a US Army Lt. Colonel, Vindman insisted that Nunes address him by his rank.

After being addressed as “Mr. Vindman,” Vindman retorted “Ranking Member, it’s Lt. Col. Vindman, please.”

Throughout social media, anti-Trump forces, who have apparently now become pro-military partisans, sang Vindman’s praises, applauding him for putting Nunes in his place.

In a properly functioning government — with a proper view of military power — however, no one would tolerate a military officer lecturing a civilian on how to address him “correctly.”

As an ex-Army officer, it needs to be said the term “Mr.” is used in conversations between Army Officers, when the conversation involves a superior addressing a subordinate. It is especially used if the superior is dressing down the subordinate.

LTC Vindman’s grousing at the Congressman was not about “title” but about being treated as junior to the Congressman. That was the nerve that was struck, LTC Vindman was being dressed down as a junior officer. I am not sure the congressman realized it but he deserves kudos for using the term “Mr.” to put LTC Vindman in his place.

  35. A little anecdote from my current life which runs completely parallel to the situation we are watching here:

My daughter was at a party a couple of weeks ago. Toward the end of the night, none of her friends were talking to her and acting weird. She was told they weren’t having a sleepover, yet found out they were all sleeping over except for her. She shrugged her shoulders and the next day hung out with other friends. The next night a tick-tock video went out by 3 boys who were at the party, mocking her for being a “thief” having a yeast infection and being “smelly.” My husband and I raced to the parents at their homes and the boys were all punished and forced to take down the video, which was seen and liked by 101 people in 10 minutes.

Come to find out that my daughter had been accused of stealing a half full bottle of body spray from the girl having the party. They said that when they were up in her room, her bag fell off the bed and the perfume was in there. A short video was taken of the clear plastic bag with the perfume standing upright in the bag. This video was apparently shared with people at the party, hence the weird vibes and discussed amongst the group of about 35 friends that were all there. The reason given for not confronting my daughter at the time was that they didn’t want to embarrass her in front of everyone. LOL. So instead they spend 24 hours destroying her reputation with no ability to defend herself.

My daughter was ostracized at school on Monday, people talking about her, laughing at her, staring at her, and ignoring her. She’d finally had enough and begged me to come get her. Instead I called the school and had the staff get involved. When confronted, the accuser confessed that she wasn’t sure if the perfume was actually in the bag or on the floor or how it got in there and actually arranged the bag, put it on the bed and videotaped it after placing the perfume by itself inside the bag. This was the “evidence” that was used to destroy my daughter’s reputation. My daughter is 14 and not a genius, but she’s not stupid enough to steal a half bottle of crappy body spray and leave it on the girls bed, among all the other bags, not to mention her bag was CLEAR PLASTIC. I believe it was a setup at worst but who knows, because the evidence was tampered with.

Now my daughter is trying to win back her reputation, but it has been a long road. Many have made up their minds already. (I don’t want to get too deep into it, but she is the only African American girl in the entire group.) If they haven’t made up their minds, they have sided with the “big group” in order to remain in the big group. I get it. Not everyone is a hero. A few have started to defect a bit, but she will never be invited back into that group ever. She is a Freshman in high school and this group of friends was her everything. Her heart is broken that she has realized that her friends were never her friends.

What’s even more Trumpian about the situation? This all started because one of the boys in this group was sex-shaming the girls on their private group app. All the girls were upset and my daughter decided to kick the boy off out of the group in defense of the girls. The boy was instantly placed back in by another boy, who kicked my daughter out. No one has invited her back in and the entire party thing happened the very next day. So my daughter was abandoned by her friends who successfully allowed the whole stealing thing to happen over the group app for 24 hours without her being able to defend herself. So much for being the brave soul.

Sorry for the long story but it’s been a rough week, and she also suffering fainting spells she is dealing with. But as I watched this whole thing, I am seeing a bunch of spoiled teenagers, who want to be a part of a group, talk behind backs and are working to destroy a person with half truths, opinions and some outright lies without the person being destroyed having the ability to defend themselves.

P.S. My daughter posted a social media post blasting friends who were never her friends without naming anyone, and she was attacked for defending herself and calling them out. I told her she was my own little Trump Babe. Fearless and Fabulous!

Any chance she can get involved with a group of kids who have no pretentions of “coolness” – e.g. the cross country team, the drama club, the robotics club, the bowling team, the band? I don’t know how it is at your high school, but at my kids’ schools, those activities are filled with nice, but definitely not cool, kids.

          • Thank you for the prayers. Just got a call that they want her to see a cardiologist and she is also seeing a neurologist. Hopefully, they will get to the bottom of it. Low blood pressure, low thyroid count, low on a couple of other tests as well like white blood cell count and leukocytes, a little low hemoglobin but within normal range. Seeing the cardiologist seems pretty scary and I haven’t told her yet. She told me this morning on the way to school she has a feeling she is going to die soon. It almost made me cry, but I laughed it off and told her she wasn’t going to die and was going to live a long and healthy life. Just be careful not to pass out at school or I’d have to make her wear a helmet. We had a good laugh.

Unfortunately, her cheer team is her life and all of the other 5 freshmen varsity cheerleaders are in “the group.” And my daughter, unfortunately, wants desperately to be part of the cool group. Ugh. She does have other friends, but it is so hard for her to accept that the friends she was having so much fun with and loved so much and thought they were so close could turn on her so quickly.

That said, she is smart, funny, exceptionally talented and literally out of this world gorgeous. I’m not just saying that. Everywhere we go strangers just randomly tell her she’s beautiful, is she a model, is she an actress, lol. I can brag because I didn’t genetically create her, she is adopted, but hopefully, I have had some influence on her courageousness and spirit. She’s really special to me and watching her go through all of this is just heartbreaking to me.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback and support. it is a tough story, but one that many of us as humans have had to endure in one way or the other, and if not, lucky you. But what is happening to President Trump can happen to any other President, any other person. Same as Kavanaugh. Same as the Covington boys. Same as my daughter. When a group attacks a person wanting to bring them down and that person has no way to defend themselves, and then is called out for defending themselves, it can be a vicious thing to deal with. The left doesn’t care though. We have seen time and again how they don’t care who’s lives are ruined, or canceled with their hypocrisy as long as they are destroyed. When they are caught doing the same they ignore it or say ‘well that’s different” because they are woke. A reporter just slammed Charles Barkely for a crude sexist “violent” joke. Then was found to have had numerous racist and violent tweets in her history and now she’s crying victim.

When the liberal media so effectively shapes the narrative though, it is difficult to cut through. Trump has done it as effectively as possible, which is causing the hornets to come out of their nests. I hope they all sting one another in their hysteria.

This is such a sad story.
Those who initiated this against your daughter should face serious disciplinary action.

Our son faced a situation where he was verbally attacked and physically attacked at knife point at his high school. No disciplinary action was taken. I asked the principal what her biggest problem was. She said the students do not know right from wrong. How are they to learn if there is no discipline?

Recall, the President said Bolton did a very bad thing that lead to his being removed. After that was said, Bolton’s public grousing ceased and we have not heard much since.

Besides the book deal, we may be seeing more of the “very bad thing” as these hearing move on, (i.e. I agree with you).

“An expression of formal disapproval”. Surely a good looong, slow, gaseous fart from the distinguished Democrat farter will suffice..and save kabillions in tax dollars to boot. Requires house and senate approval. I dare Republicans to publicly vote for censure..or anything of that nature (condemnation of the president). No different than voting for impeachment. None whatsoever.

Pelosi’s press conference was a joke. Having banged on about impeachment, she was then asked about the USMCA deal. She said that she’d spoken to Lighthizer, and the main thing she wanted to ensure was that worker protection was included, that the deal wasn’t NAFTA by another name. What? Having railed against PT for going against TPP and for tearing up NAFTA, she then acknowledged that NAFTA had holes, and that the plan of the president she and the Democrats are striving incessantly to destroy could be a template for future trade deals.

So on September 3, 2019, Ukraine MPs vote to strip themselves of immunity from prosecution.

    https://www.ft.com/content/75741a52-ce40-11e9-b018-ca4456540ea6

“Western backers have made tackling graft a prerequisite for aid.”

“Tackling widespread corruption is a prerequisite for continued western support and the IMF. Kiev hopes to secure a new multi-billion-dollar loan programme from the IMF this autumn.”

So I got curious and did a Google News search for “ukraine” in the date range of Sept 1 thru Sept 5.

Guess what pops up on September 5th in the Washington Post?

“Trump tries to force Ukraine to meddle in the 2020 Election”

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/global-opinions/is-trump-strong-arming-ukraines-new-president-for-political-gain/2019/09/05/4eb239b0-cffa-11e9-8c1c-7c8ee785b855_story.html

Opinion from the wapo Editorial Board

They start with this first paragraph:

“UKRAINE’S NEOPHYTE president, Volodymyr Zelensky, took a big step this week toward proving that he will be, as he promised, the most pro-reform president in Ukraine’s history. On Monday, he laid out a breathtakingly ambitious five-year plan including virtually every measure the International Monetary Fund and Western governments have urged on Ukraine in recent years, from land reform to the privatization of state companies to a cleansing of the judiciary.”

And by the end of the article they turn it into :

“Trump forcing Ukraine to meddle in the 2020 election.”

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This whole thing was thrown together when they realized Zelensky was legit and they are all at very high risk of being exposed!

One thing becomes ever so clear when watching some of the testimony by the government employees talking their BS at the hearings, they are arrogant and extremely misguided about what their role is as a government employee. I am waiting for the Article 32 to commence as a prerequisite to a court martial for Lt. Col. Vindman, who disregarded the orders from his Commander In Chief, and instead had the audacity to think he was the one who should dictate policy between the USA and Ukraine. Time to purge D.C. of all of these rogue government employees. I don’t care if they are career. They are NOT there to run our country. We have an executive branch who is supposed to be doing that. Makes me shudder to think that all of this would have been covered up had Hildabeast been elected.

Don’t hold your breath. He’s safe from prosecution and he knows it. At this point, the military does not want to be publicly exposed for being part of the coup. A trial for Mr. Vindman would do just that.

I was just watching a clip of Holmes talking about the phone call. He said Sondland, himself, and 2 others were having lunch. In the beginning of the conversation it was very casual, and among the topics.

we discussed topics such as marketing strategies for his hotel business

This lunch was in 2019. Sondlad had resigned from his position as CEO of his hotel business in 2018 after he was appointed the Ambassador to the EU. Why in 2019 was he still intimately involved in running it? Shouldn’t he be giving up that job to focus full time on his Ambassador duties? CAN’T WE GET SOME BETTER PEOPLE INTO THESE JOBS?

No, many go to big donors. That well known expert and intellectual, Caroline Kennedy was ambassador to Japan. Her grandfather was ambassador to the UK.

Sondland, for ex. purchased his ambassadorship for 1 million. He admitted so yesterday in his testimony. He said with great pride that he was in the “VVIP section.”

So no, in our system, money talks.
