Key Dates Highlight Pre-planning of Impeachment Agenda – Pelosi, Schiff, and The Hand-off To Nadler…

There is a lot of rapid information about events worth putting into a calendar context to see the democrat mapping.   David Holmes has just been added to Thursday’s public impeachment testimony (Nov 21st); he will join Fiona Hill.  In essence this rapid addition highlights Schiff on a tight schedule, and his portion ends November 21st, this week.

Additionally today, as expected, it is now reported that Pelosi will take up a short-term continuing resolution (CR) tomorrow to fund government; that will push govt funding to December 20th aligning with the mid-December budget vote plans: Impeach, USMCA and budget).  This intentionally designed delay aligns with Pelosi and House counsel Doug Letter requesting a delay in SCOTUS review of arguments for Trump Taxes.  Everything gets punted to after Thanksgiving; then mid-December they will flood the zone.

However, outside of the House control, Lindsey Graham has announced Dec 11th as the date for Horowitz to testify, which makes the likely FISA report on/around Dec. 2nd.

It’s worth putting it all into a calendar to see how the end of the year is shaping up.

♦Tuesday November 19th – 9 a.m ET: Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, the Ukraine usurper on the National Security Council, and Jennifer Williams, the executive usurper/aide to Vice President Mike Pence will testify.  Then at 2:30pm ET Kurt D. Volker, the former United States special envoy to Ukraine, and Timothy Morrison, a Europe and Russia expert for the National Security Council will testify.

♦Tuesday November 19th – Unknown time, the House will vote a short-term CR funding government until December 20th.  This pushes the budget vote into mid-december. This is all by careful design.

♦Wednesday November 20th – 9am ET:  Ambassador Gordon D. Sondland, the United States ambassador to the European Union, will deliver testimony.  At 2:30pm ET Laura K. Cooper, the deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russian, Ukrainian and Eurasian affairs, and David Hale, the under secretary of state for political affairs will deliver public testimony.

♦Thursday November 21st – 9am ET: Ms. Fiona Hill, the National Security Council’s former senior director for Europe and Russia (originally thought Vindman was sketchy leaker); and David Holmes, a political counselor at the U.S. embassy in Kyiv (just added), will give their public testimony.

Unless something changes, Thursday ends the Adam Schiff public hearing part of the impeachment inquiry; and everything is transferred to the House Judiciary Committee for “official impeachment proceedings”.   This also ends the House legislative session until after Thanksgiving (return Monday, December 2nd).

♦Friday November 22nd –  The DOJ Inspector General closes the “principal review phase” for interests to review the upcoming IG FISA report and provide their feedback for consideration within the report.   The IG then begins to put the finishing details on the report…. we enter Thanksgiving week.

♦Monday December 2nd – Congress returns for the final two legislative weeks of the year.

♦Monday December 2nd – The most likely date for the release of the IG report on FISA abuse, though it potentially could be released on Thanksgiving week.

♦December 3rd – 6th: The House Judiciary Committee, Chairman Jerry Nadler, likely takes over the impeachment hearing agenda. [In the period between November 22nd and December 2nd, the HPSCI will be sending over the Lawfare impeachment report and underlying evidence.]

♦December 9th through December 12th – The final week of the year for the House of Representatives to vote on all of the strategically punted issues.  There will likely be an official impeachment vote in this period; and the “inquiry” will end.  The vote will be to authorize the House Judiciary Committee to begin the “official” impeachment hearings.

In this final legislative week there are currently three key issues Pelosi will have scheduled as priorities:  (1) The full house impeachment vote to authorize the HJC to conduct the “official” impeachment investigation.  (2) A full house budget vote to fund government through the end of the 2020 election year; and (3) Likely a full house vote for the USMCA.

The USMCA and Budget will be pushed as bipartisan chaff and countermeasures to hide the impeachment authorization vote.  It’s not a final vote to impeach, it is a full House vote to initiate the House Judiciary Committee phase.

♦Wednesday December 11th – Right in the middle of the last House legislative week, the Senate Judiciary Committee will be hearing from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

Given that the House Judiciary Committee will be tied up with the House impeachment process; and given the nature of the report they would prefer did not have exposure; Jerry Nadler will likely not hear any testimony in the House from Horowitz.

♦Thursday December 12th – the House recesses for the Christmas Holiday.

This is the way things look now…. things can/could change… but that’s the broad outline.

So then we end up starting 2020 with there being an “impeachment investigation” going on in the House, but no vote on Articles?

Pelosi can keep the whole thing going in the House without triggering a Senate trial as a giant smear / oppo campaign, while tring to get the McGahn/Mueller grand jury information. But the more “impeachment!” bleeds into the campaign, the more ludicrous the whole thing looks to practical independents.

IMO, the President is going to “talk turkey” (yes, pun is intended 🙂 ) about The VP’s NeverTrumper assistant and discuss Pence’s motivations and allegiances. The latter topic will not likely change Pence’s behavior because he knows he has the full support of the GOPe.

Pence appears to be an albatross permanently affixed to the President’s neck.

Oh please, she is a Pence “staffer” ONLY because she was detailed to him by the State Department How was he supposed to know she was an anti-Trumper? And even if he did, what could he have done about it? . He tried to talk her into ignoring the congressional subpoena but she chose to honor it. He had no choice in the matter. If you read her transcript, her counterpoint in the NSC is Vindman.

100 percent agree here. I think this theory that VP Pence and or Secretary Pompeo is part of this coup attempt is not in any way helping to expose and end this impeachment farce. We have enough clear enemies.

Sondland is a loose cannon liable to say whatever needs to be said to extricate his ass from the very large mess he mostly created spouting his mouth off, and, may i add, he at one time worked for BIDEN. Who recommended Sondland for an ambassadorship?

If that is indeed the case, were President Trump to be truly impeached in the Senate, it would be one short step to President Pelosi…all it takes is Pence’s resignation for “health reasons”…”hey, you and your fam wanna live?”

If they wanted to take down Pence w/o violence, they would have to start a whole new investigation of him. If Pence were to be put in as President, he would choose a new VP to serve with him. I believe the SOTH only becomes president if something took out the Pres and VP at the same time (i.e., plane crash). Isn’t that correct?

I like to think that I pay attention to this stuff….but I thought that Pelosi wanted to get the Articles of Impeachment voted out of the House by end of year.

So “all” that is going to happen is that *finally* the House officially votes to start formal impeachment process? I thought Pelosi was going to just quickly have Judiciary vote out 1 or more formal Articles of Impeachment and then get House to vote on each.

They could pull it off and have a House Impeachment Vote prior to Christmas, but there would be little/no time for any Trump defense to appear before HJC. So that’s why it is unlikely.

Nadler will call no witnesses because their prior testimony in Intelligence Committee absolutely positively ‘proves’ obstruction/corrupt intent/extortion/bribery/malfeasance/High crimes and misdemeanors . . . because they all felt or heard or were told these things and Trump’s policy re Ukraine is wrong wrong wrong.

Truth does not matter. Evidence does not matter. The law and the Constitution do not matter. All that matters is removing Trump from office or preventing him from running for reelection.

If more info comes out that Pelosi Schiff et al were involved in arms sales to Ukraine when Obama would let US sell Ukraine arms that could make things even uglier. Policy to enable profiteering.

And a complicit media would remain silent or “affirm” the “evidence”. The DemoncRATs are dependent on low information voters (aka those faithful CDNC and MSLSD watchers who accept the spin as gospel) to accept their contrived stories. The biggest reason they dropped quid pro quo was because it landed squarely on the doorstep of 3 Dems and 1R(leave it to you to determine if the R is for Republican or rat). Biden, Kerry, Pelosi and Romney. Jobs. Sons. Quids. Quos. They are counting on Romney to vote for removal (to cover himself and his son). At least that gives them “bipartisanship” and counting on Romney to bring at least Collins and Murkowski. That starts the ball rolling, especially if those 3 come out before Senate hearings.
Why is no one questioning Crowdstrike in the conversation with Zalensky? That squarely puts the conversation on 2016 not 2020 campaign. It doesn’t require genius thinking to see it (so now you know why the MSM is missing it).

I thought the original idea was to impeach Trump in the House without him being able to present a defense before the vote. If this does not occur, what has changed? Everybody sees that this is a sham? The Dems don’t really want a real vote because it might not pass? The “big club” does not want to see a Senate trial?

IF they go the route of calling no witnesses, then it’s at that point that the president sues to have the whole thing squashed under the premise that because of the way they structured the House rules and hearings, his defense team was not allowed to question people who were testifying thereby denying him his 4th amendment rights.

Then we would get into a really, really interesting question: If the courts continue to find that the House is indeed conducting a valid Impeachment but then the president is able to have the whole thing tossed as outlined above can the House restart the whole thing from scratch or does the notion of Double Jeopardy apply to an Impeachment?

After all it is only democrats supporting impeachment with no support from republicans. In most states the loosing side usually has to pay the legal fees of the winning side. I say we should bill the Democrat Party.

No, I think the Democrat/Lawfare plan is that HIC sends the articles to HJC without another House vote. That’s why the court cases are so important. The Dems/Lawfare are trying to get the courts to “deem” the Inquiry to be an actual Impeachment investigation…but without a full House vote. Nancy can’t make her members keep making costly impeachment votes. Her next House vote will be formal impeachment once HJC passes the articles on a straight party-line vote. That’s why they need the courts to bless the tax returns and the Muller GJ transcripts…to bless the fake impeachment.

If Trump refuses to sign the CR, and then drags out and delays on his “responses” to the HIC, he can push everything out into 2020. It’s like popping the circuit breaker in an electrical fire.

Smart move by Trump to call Pelosi’s bluff. There’s basically no risk to answering HIC written questions…but it would really drag out the investigation. For example, it would formally require the House to meet with Trump’s lawyers to hammer out the acceptable bounds (eg, they can only ask questions directly tied to official US government / POTUS actions wrt Ukraine. No Guiliani, no Mueller crap). If the HIC says “no, we have all the evidence we need”, they’re proving they just want to railroad Trump killing any and all efforts in the Senate.

Then, when will be the final vote? Looks like the Senate Trial will occur well into the Primary Season when the President is confirmed as the Nominee. After, we, the Deplorables have chosen him to run as the Republican Candidate for Re-election. If they push this too far, he can drop Pence from the ticket, and name a VP after he is re-elected. Or the first week of December would be a good time for Nadler to have a heart attack. (Just a small one, but debilitating enough for him to need to take several weeks off.)

By the time we get to January, America will be (for practical purposes) 10 months away from a general election vote. Assuming Nadler needs several weeks to put Articles together, we’ll be 9 months away. Democrats will be voting in primaries. The whole thing gets sucked up into the election.

If this is the timeline (no vote on Articles before 2020), you start to wonder if the impeachment proceedings aren’t really also serving (as a primary purpose) to be a defense against the FISA report / Durham investigation. In which case “impeachment!” doesn’t end, but doesn’t have the purpose of actually resulting in Articles of Impeachment — its just a vehicle to provide a legal countermeasure to the Durham investigation.

Nothing more than opinion here, but had the Republican controlled Senate thrown down the gauntlet and vigorously supported the President during these almost three years, we would not be in this position today. The House “leadership” has read the Senate tea leaves and determined it safe to forge ahead. I lay as much of the responsibility – guilt – at the Senate doorstep, as on the Seditionist Dims & Lawfare, Move-on, & Co.

I know that they want Donald J. Trump gone from the Oval so they can get back to business as usual – and worse – but this is so terribly much bigger than the fate of any single individual. They are attempting to force us to give up our Constitution, give up our system as a Nation, and rewrite our History as well as bid farewell to our future. This is the posterity they want to force us to embrace?

They have placed, and continue to willingly place our Nation, our very Constitution in horrifyingly grave danger of collapse under the weight of a CHARADE. What hatred and disease of the mind, dear God, has taken over the souls of those who profess to govern us? Who are these people who want to overwhelm our remarkable system of self-government with chaos? How on earth can the participants in this destruction be so cock sure that they, themselves, won’t be eaten alive by the very forces they’ve launched, once their objective has been realized?

Do you remember, as a child, being taught by our mothers and our teachers that when we chose the errant path, no matter what the discipline might be, we had to face the music, ‘fess up, and bear up under the sentencing to be meted out? Do you remember being taught that one’s honor was more important than any tangible possession in life? What has happened to us since 1960?

Donald J. Trump is a man of honor. He is the President of my Nation. He is my President. If we allow this to proceed to the result desired by The Sedition, it’s on us, because right now I can’t see any sign of the Cavalry on the horizon.

I wonder how, in our history, and in the history of world, common people recognized the moment when it was time to stand up.

If the IG Report is a dud, no harm done. If it’s bad, really bad, the delay in funding gives Trump leverage on needed reforms before agreeing to any lengthy budgets.

OR the government shuts down just in time for the holidays . Trump owns the down side I told them once , I told the twice, I told them three times no more CRs so he blows the house down. Fulfill your Constitutional requirement and pass a budget. ….perhaps he will consider a CR that goes through the recesss but it better be a good one and watch them scramble. Perhaps he will toss I. Lol, we both had the same thought. We have a hysterical Congress that needs a slap in the face / cold water to get themselves under control. Trump could meet with the GOP Senate and basically say “We’re going to let this ride for a few weeks through the holidays.”

There wouldn’t need to be a CR if Nancy had spent her time on the budget and USMCA instead of the face impeachment.

No CR unless Schiff steps down and testifies under oath. No CR unless USMCA is passed.

They have housekeeping, grocery shopping, bill paying responsibilities. The pols and their manipulators count on our exhaustion as a means to keep us distracted from paying close attention to them. It works. They know it works. They are counting on it to keep working while they pull the once tightly woven rug of our government fiber right out from under us.

Nancy is tough. The power she holds with the cover of the MSM is tremendous. She couldn’t do it without their help. It is worth billions of dollars. So she has this planned out. It worked for her in the midterms. It certainly seems to be working today. But will it actually work out for 2020? Can she get the votes? Again, only votes to investigate, not impeach.

I have the feeling she is working it to the farthest end point and then have her strategic exit, blaming Republicans, while the MSM parrots it non stop. She will leverage that for 11 months as best she can, while using it to keep the House. Any narrative will be supported through the election.

That could be before an impeachment vote or she could get the vote and work the strategy past that with Schumer. Control of the media will extend it through Nov 2020. Loss of control to McConnell would jeopardize that and she knows he is a shrewd parliamentarian. Probably not the best plan. And don’t forget the IG FISA report. Damning but will suck up the oxygen.

Maybe Justice Roberts is compromised. That was an inaccurate Obamacare vote. Tax or fee? Come on man. But rules? Nancy changed the rules. So can Mitch. No Roberts.

I no longer trust all of Sundance’s analyses, but the calendar is certainly useful. If Sundance is smart he/she will start putting up every single day: “Expect Nothing From the IG Report”. Because not only is the purpose of an IG Report to churn paper without getting anyone on top in jeopardy (middle/lower level personnel are fair game), this lesson ought to have already been learned by all of us. We are not possibly stupid enough to once again fall for the “IG Report” line, are we??

  44. Long before these dates happen – “judicial actions in the SCOTUS begin to blow-out the illegal underpinnings of this whole damned thing.”

If we focus, not upon the convoluted multi-committee process, but the intended final outcome, what we are left with is a 21st Century Bill of Attainder. It meets all of the qualifications, to wit:

    • The Legislature (illegally …) assumes Judicial powers and declares someone guilty,
    • … then proceeds to punish them (via removal from office, in this case),
    • … without benefit of trial, nor, in this case, any legal rights at all.

§1.9.3: “No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto law shall be passed.”

Like generations of legal scholars before them, the Founders perfectly well understood that, if the Congress were afforded Judicial power, their actions would inevitably devolve into bills of attainder and the Executive would serve at the pleasure of Congress. Instead, they implicitly evoked the third branch, the Judiciary, stating that the accused would subsequently face “indictment, trial, conviction” for his or her criminal offense – which the Congress could act upon, but could not find.

It’s coming, folks. Because the Democrats, in this case in order to cover up their own Ukranian crime, are seeking to deny the President of the United States the rights we give a thief – for the non-crime of not-doing what the Democrats provably did. And, gloated about!

    Like

    • P.S. To clarify the Founder’s law and intent, let’s review the actual impeachment clauses:

§2.4: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

§1.3.7: “Judgment in Cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.”

      • Congress does not have the power to make a criminal indictment nor conviction. Its power is limited to removal from office.

      • Impeachment power requires “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Which Congress cannot find – they may only remove.

      • The accused will face indictment, trial, judgment and punishment in the Courts. (But this man will face no indictments at all.)

There is therefore no Constitutional justification for what Congress is attempting to do, and a specific Constitutional prohibition against what their entire action consists of. These facts are not going to go unchallenged by the actual Judiciary.

One of the commenters mentioned the Flynn case which certainly looms as a game-changer. I went back to the relevant articles here but the most recent thing I could find was Sidney’s response to the ridiculous “mistaken identity” claim by the DOJ (November 6). I skimmed through all of that and could not find a date that Sidney expected the next step to occur ????

I also noticed a date this morning that may have some relevance. When I was doing my usual fruitless chasing of decent streams of Lou Dobbs’ show (very annoyed that all cut off before an interview with, if I got it right, Senator Johnson?), I saw a WeScrewYouTube banner about their planned change to “terms of service.” That will occur on December 10.

Isn’t that the change that is expected to do a big deplatforming of a lot of our side (Dan Bongino is looking for an alternative I think)?

And Horowitz’ testimony is December 11….
