Senator Rand Paul Calls-Out Chairman Lindsey Graham for Doing Nothing Except Protecting the “Deep State”…

Finally….. Senator Rand Paul directly calls-out Senator Lindsey Graham, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee for doing absolutely NOTHING.  At a certain point it becomes necessary to accept willful blindness for what it is…. Senator Graham wants to protect the Deep State more than Senator Graham wants to protect a constitutional republic.

It’s worth noting that Senator Rand Paul’s statement comes out at the same time Senator Lindsey Graham has said he will support the impeachment of President Trump as soon as the articles reach the Senate for trial.

To be accurate Graham did not say He supports impeachment. He was given a hypothetical if there was evidence there was a quid pro quo. He said if it was true he would find it disturbing. He is up for Re election. He must know if he did vote to convict, he could lose in 2020

The fact that Geaham finds a quid pro quo disturbing in the instance is bad enough. It is disgusting that he pretends not to know that 1) giving and getting is standard oeactice, 2) that investigating corruption is an obligation, and 3) that everything anyone does in DC affects some political race. Why the citizebs of SC keep electing him us beyond me.

And I’m so sick of the constant false claims that Trump asked Ukraine to investigate Biden and his son. That is a lie. When Trump said I need a favor, he was asking about checking into Crowdstrike and whether the DNC server was in Ukraine. The Ukraine president is the one who brought Biden into the conversation, not Trump, and apparently they had already re-opened an investigation into Biden’s son and his company several months ago.

And for three years all we’ve heard is the pearl-clutching over foreign meddling in our 2016 election (and fabricating Trump’s collusion with them) while complete disregard is given to HRC, the DNC, and our own weaponized intelligence agencies who actually did collude with foreign sources to meddle in the election. Hypocrisy doesn’t even come close to describing this. Now Trump tries to uncover the corruption regarding foreign meddling in 2016 and it is a high crime demanding his impeachment and removal from office!

And lastly, every deal or negotiation involves quid pro quos! Why would we give foreign aid without expecting something in return? Trump threatened to withhold foreign aid to Central American countries unless they took efforts to reduce the illegal immigration coming from those countries. No one said anything about quid pro quo in that instance nor threatened impeachment. Biden is shown on video proudly bragging about his quid pro quo in either firing the Ukrainian prosecutor or have their proposed loan guarantees withheld, and he even implicated Obama as being complicit, but nothing but crickets. Where was our dear patriot and Trump defender Lindsey back then?

Opened up your article link. I had no idea Mick Mulvaney ran his mouth and has backtracked. Is he a saboteur? We all know his history, too.

I did send a message to Lindsay Graham as his role as Senate Judiciary Committee chair. Here is his response:

    “September 16, 2019 4:27 PM

Thank you for taking the time to contact me. I appreciate the opportunity to hear from you.

Due to the large volume of mail I receive, I regret that I am only able to respond personally to inquiries from South Carolinians.

As we continue our work in the 116th Congress, I look forward to supporting our troops in the War on Terror, repairing our economy and creating jobs, strengthening Social Security, lowering the tax burden on American families, and making the federal government more accountable and efficient.

If your correspondence pertains to a scheduling request, please fax your request to (202) 224-3808.

    Sincerely,

    Lindsey Graham”

So the other poster was right back then, only SC constituents can send a message to Graham, even as head of a committee.

Calling is the easiest way to get through, but I believe writing is necessary for important matters. Here’s my latest unfortunate experience with that, when I went to write the Republican Congressman who voted against Pres. Trump on the Syria Roll Call.

DC mailing addresses are easy to find, but determining which local office to send mail to is not. As I couldn’t print at the time, I chose to email instead. What a mess!

Most US Representatives state outright that they don’t want email from non-constituents. In order to get through, you have to fake your zip code. That means doing extra research, and even then, some zip codes overlap. Some would not accept an email without the 4-digit extension.

After getting through with an acceptable zip+4, many still booted me for having an unacceptable address. Then, you have to pass the stupid Captcha – which I failed numerous times…and had to start over.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! These people DO NOT want us contacting them. They DON’T CARE what we think. But we MUST do it anyway!

Of the 5 Republican Representatives in IL, none have replied to my email. Not one – including my own. Not even a generic response. That should tell you all you need to know.

      • I learned this from my own experience over 30 years ago. It is a tragedy of political citizenship (is that a thing? it sounds ominous…) that we all have to learn this about our representatives as individuals, on our own. It’s like not knowing (nobody ever tells you) the real difference between men and women until you’ve been married long enough to get it through your thick skull. Although, with politicians, there is real evil intent involved, on their part.

The only reason he would pretend to be a friend of POTUS is to spy on him. He really revealed himself over the Syria/Turkey issue when he said if (my paraphrase) POTUS doesn’t do what he wants like continue the wars then he will become POTUS’s worst nightmare.

You’ll note that he apparently doesn’t even know that Steele’s two sources were DEFINITELY Russians attached to the hip with Putin when he asks if Steele’s sources might have been Russians! Images of the hand written notes from an interview with Steele have already been released which prove that!

If a Senator who is not an enemy of Trump doesn’t know this, something which could be known by just reading a freaking book…

One of them was quoted in a Newsweek article from before this was known bragging that they, the Russians, mess with our brains and there’s nothing we can do about it! This was definitely a Russian poison pill operation to sew discord here and did they succeed or what!? They fed the swamp what they wanted to hear through unofficial channels so the info was never analyzed for validity as it would have been if fed through the normal chain.

Here’s a re-post of an absolutely outstanding video that shows that Obama MUST have known based upon REQUIRED procedure, that this was almost certainly a Russian poison pill operation, and that Wray will NOT do what needs to be done to make sure this never happens again.

“Today we sit down with Tony Shaffer, acting president of the London Center for Policy Research. He served as a Lieutenant Colonel in U.S. Army, where he was a senior intelligence officer. Graham is an expert at going where the political winds blow. There’s some possible hurricane winds on the horizon in regards to Horowitz’s report and Durham’s investigation. Graham is hedging all his bets in front of these 2 potential hurricanes. Even though I’ve never trusted Ms. Lindsey, what he will do or not do, all depends upon the rollout of the Horowitz report and the subsequent political winds there in. Until then I would recommend a little more patience as justice emanating from the DOJ in the end is all that matters as it will suck the air out of all the other MSM and

Even if there were a quid pro quo, one has to look at the terms. If Trump were requiring a review of corrupt acts and actors, then he is PERFECTLY within his guard rails for lawful behavior. Corruption, for crying out loud. Who the hell doesn’t want that exposed?

Translate the following: “Dig up dirt on someone.” What does that mean? It means Someone has faults or crimes that have been obscured somehow. What does digging it up mean? It means unobscuring that which has been hidden.

Even if Trump were to dig up dirt on Biden, well, there’s your admission right there that Biden was crooked. This is proof of a non-discerning media and electorate. Digging up dirt is the now “heard” to mean slandering and libeling your opponent. Exactly not what it means. But, here we are.

    • Mike Robinson says:

This isn’t “digging up dirt.” This is law enforcement.

No one needs to “dig up” anything about anyone who boasted, on camera, about an international act of extortion committed while VPOTUS… joking, perfectly relaxed, and implicating the POTUS as though this were the most ordinary thing in the world – which, to The Swamp, it is.

The thing that’s now got every swamp-rat terrified is not only that the Americans are nosing around Ukraine, but that the Ukrainians are, too. Therefore, impeach both the POTUS and the VPOTUS, so Madame Presidente Pelosi can fire Barr and Durham before giving Ukraine six hours to get rid of their pesky new President. Next comes tearing down walls, tripling the number of non-immigrant visas, and prostrating her nation at the feet of Chairman Xi, begging His Majesty’s forgiveness.

Within a year, the swamp will be restored, DJT will be in a secret prison, and American voters will never again have the chance to misbehave as they did in 2016. With the complicity of both Houses, the Congress will have successfully executed a palace coup, and Presidential elections – should the Deep State decide to continue to have them (just for show) will forevermore be meaningless.

Republicans have to support Trump to win this battle. Paul looks at every issue in the micro measured on his strict views instead of the big picture.

Trump is pragmatic and willing to compromise, which you have to be to get anything accomplished in government. Paul refuses to compromise his libertarian views in order to govern. I respect his principles on a personal level, but they don’t make him an effective leader.

Sundance, come on. You are better than this:

“……..comes out at the same time Senator Lindsey Graham has said he will support the impeachment of President Trump as soon as the articles reach the Senate for trial.”

Lindsey Graham most certainly did NOT say that. At least not in that link or anywhere else Ive seen. If Lindsey Graham had come out in support of impeaching the President, it would be breaking news EVERYWHERE.

He said if evidence came out that he committed a crime, he would. Well, duh. Thats not controversial for any Senator to say. They basically have to say that.

Look, Im not defending Lindsey Graham here. I have contacted his office numerous times, every which way, and gave them hell. He has gone back on his word many times, he’s deep state, probably bought off by the war lobby and other special interests, probably being blackmailed, has skeletons in his closet, etc, etc…. He’s just another scummy politician that PT cant fully trust.

But, my simple point is that Lindsey Graham did NOT say that “he will support the impeachment of President Trump as soon as the articles of impeachment reach the Senate for trial.”

Furthermore, saying that he did only helps the Dems create the narrative that Reps are publicly abandoning the President, in trying to create the environment that forced Nixon to resign.

Honestly, thats the kind of stuff I would expect to see on the Drudge Report.

While I understand the frustration with Graham based on his previous commitments to investigate but come on what is left to investigate that we don’t already know. I don’t want anyone to interfere with AG Barr’s and Durham’s investigations. It was reported a few days ago that Durham has found something “significant” – what could that be? Maybe confirming what we already know to be true or could it be something in addition to what we already know that is “significant.”

We all know that there is a mountain of corruption in many different government alphabet agencies. Do you really think that Barr and Durham is simply going to hold a press conference and tell us what they know – NO – I’ll bet they keep running into many things we currently don’t know and given that the investigation may go on for years! My concern is to ensure Trump wins so they have enough time to track it all down however, there needs to be indictments now not later!

    My E-mail to Sen. Graham.
You know as well as I do that the process of impeachment of President Trump is unconstitutional at this point and highly partisan. Because of the improper testimony is behind closed doors the American people are subject to another form of soft coup.
You have promised since January 2019 to get to the bottom of what happened with Russia, Russia, Russia. So far you are all talk and no action. After your defense of the kangaroo Senate hearing on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh I thought you were moving towards an activist defense of America against the Leftist attempt to destroy our Constitution. I was apparently wrong.
If you wished to really perform a service to our nation’s Constitution, hold hearings with the witnesses that Rep. Schiff refuses to release transcripts of their testimony or to testify publicly. I, like you, took an oath to defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; and bear true faith and allegiance to the same. Five generations of my family have done so, so I expect you and all other public officials to actively uphold their oath.
