  2. This smells like another unethical, politically targeted operation from the SDNY…….the same crowd that went after Dinesh D’Sousa for exposing 0bama, indicted Sen. Bob Menendez after he publicly criticized 0bama for normalizing relations with the communists in Cuba, did in Michael Cohen trying to get at Trump and is now trying to do the same after with Rudy. Same crowd that let corrupt NYC Mayor De Blasio off the hook for blatantly using his office to line his pockets.

If so, AG Barr has a problem here that needs to be addressed ASAP.

Is it true or not that all counter intelligence investigations have to be approved by the President. If true, then either Trump knew about it and signed off, or the SDNY & FBI launched this CI on Rudy on their own. Which is it?

      • Somebody says:

I say the FBI launched a counter Intel operation on their own either against Rudy or his associates. Using the two-hop rule either one leads to POTUS because Rudy leads to POTUS.

This was their way to continue to monitor POTUS since the FISA finally expired. The FBI is in serious need of house cleaning, as is DOJ and CIA. This could have already been accomplished except for McConnell and the senate. We’re always looking for ways to help, finding, pressuring and polarizing senators is one of the best things we could collectively do. Find the most vulnerable ones and pressure them to vote for recess, it only takes one senator. Let’s identify our targets, put together coalitions from their states and turn up the heat!

Regarding your excellent suggestion to induce a Senate recess, it appears some of the President’s appointments may not be confirmed during his first term. I don’t know if that is unprecedented, but it is absurd.

Not unprecedented, and already happened. The relevant term is that of Congress, not of the President. Appointments that have not been confirmed automatically are denied when an old Congress ends. But a president can resubmit to a new Congress. A whole bunch were left unconfirmed before Pelosi grubbed her way back to the gavel. (Involves the Turtle more than the Actress, but I felt the need to get some more digs in. But the Turtle and cronies have earned this particular shame.)

It will happen again after this next election. That is even with Trump’s reelection, all unconfirmed appointees are rejected. Thanks for not doing your job, Senators.

First – “Zero Tolerance for official corruption.” If for example you extorted a foreign government, “you’re busted. Period.” No exceptions.

Second – “if you want war, you must declare it.” That’s what the Constitution says, and, every time we did so, we won. Every time we didn’t, we didn’t.

Anyone who isn’t cool with these new changes is advised not to bother to run for (re-)election. Thank you.

After Vietnam, the profits cooled until Carter kicked up the Iran conflict, then Clinton’s Bosnia/Croatia chaos with his mujahideen mercenaries, then BushBoyz/Cheney’s Iraq, and now the OZero/Hilarity Arab Spring.

The Brits and French emptied this bank accounts fighting in the Middle East. Afghanistan killed the U.S.S.R. Does no one read history and learn from it? 31. darthawk says:

The Moody’s Election Model has been widely under-reported, or more specifically under-analyzed, by the media. Most media outlets have reported the headline news that Moody’s Model is (a) historically very accurate – its only error was under-estimating Trump in 2016 and (b) that Trump wins pretty comfortably under three different models: 351-187, 289-249, and 332-206. The Moody’s Model is based upon a series of economic assumptions – both past performance and critically future projected performance. A more detailed review of Moody’s Model indicates that Trump is likely heading towards a massive landslide win by far larger margins than Moody’s current estimate.

Moody’s Model is primarily authored by staunch globalist and Keynesian Mark Zandi (a frequent contributor to CNN, MSNBC and NBC). Zandi was one of many economics pundits who inaccurately predicted in 2016 that Trump’s election would prompt a stock market crash and a nationwide recession. His election model is filled with future economic assumptions that are equally dire and likely to be equally wrong. Despite predicting very bad economic news between now and election day, Moody’s Model still predicts a comfortable Trump win. If that bad economic news does not happen, Trump should win by a landslide.

Pocketbook Model. This Model is based upon individual’s personal finances (gas prices, house prices and real personal income). It results in a projected Trump win of 351-187. Moody’s model currently uses a highly dubious factual assumption, namely that “wage gains have been slower compared with prior business cycles.” Moody’s either is being intentionally deceptive, or is relying on outdated information. As regular readers of Conservative Treehouse know, recent reports have noted that household income under Trump, especially for lower wage households, has increased notably faster than under either Bush or Obama. Updated factual inputs likely will result in a significant boost for Trump under Moody’s Pocketbook Model.

Stock Market Model. This Model is “dominated by PROJECTIONS for S&P 500 Stock Index.” It results in a Trump win 289-249. Like Zandi’s projections in 2016, Moody’s still predicts gloom and doom for investors. The Report notes “Moody’s forecast calls for annualized growth in U.S. real GDP to dip to multiyear lows by the end of next year.” Moody’s election model “PREDICTS 9 PERCENT DROP IN S&P 500 BETWEEN NOW AND ELECTION.” This is HUGE. Despite projecting a nine percent drop, Moody’s Model still projects a relatively comfortable Trump win. That means that if the market simple is stable – no additional growth, but no nine percent drop – then Trump wins in a landslide. Moreover, if the market continues to grow, then the Stock Market model likely means Trump may rival Reagan in a nationwide sweep. Moody’s report notes that its model only projects a Dem win if the S&P drops by 12 percent. Though offering results for gloomier scenarios, Moody’s notably offers no results from its model for flat or rosier scenarios.

Unemployment Model. Trump wins 332-206. Again, Zandi continues to project gloom and doom, yet Trump still wins. Moody’s model assumes that most states “remain near current lows through the first half of next year, before ticking upwards amid the growth slowdown.” If it does NOT tick upwards and growth simply continues, then the Moody’s Model would show a landslide.

Moody’s has stated that it intends to publicly update its model each month. As its projected bad news gets replaced with actual data reflecting continued good news, its model should show a comfortable Trump win turning into a Trump landslide.
