Figures – Report: IG Report Delayed Release – Ongoing “Classification Review”…

Maria Bartiromo had initially reported the IG report on the Carter Page FISA situation was going to be released around the end of this week.  Ms. Bartiromo is now reporting a delay:

It’s the “classifications being made” part that raises concern.  President Trump granted Attorney General Bill Barr with declassification authority on May 23rd, 2019, so that any classification issues could be minimized and maximum transparency afforded.

WHITE HOUSE: (MAY 23rd) “Today, at the request and recommendation of the Attorney General of the United States, President Donald J. Trump directed the intelligence community to quickly and fully cooperate with the Attorney General’s investigation into surveillance activities during the 2016 Presidential election.

The Attorney General has also been delegated full and complete authority to declassify information pertaining to this investigation, in accordance with the long-established standards for handling classified information. Today’s action will help ensure that all Americans learn the truth about the events that occurred, and the actions that were taken, during the last Presidential election and will restore confidence in our public institutions.” (read more)

THE SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY

THE DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE
THE DIRECTOR OF THE CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY

SUBJECT: Agency Cooperation with Attorney General’s Review of Intelligence Activities Relating to the 2016 Presidential Campaigns

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby direct the following:

♦Section 1. Agency Cooperation.

The Attorney General is currently conducting a review of intelligence activities relating to the campaigns in the 2016 Presidential election and certain related matters. The heads of elements of the intelligence community, as defined in 50 U.S.C. 3003(4), and the heads of each department or agency that includes an element of the intelligence community shall promptly provide such assistance and information as the Attorney General may request in connection with that review.

♦Sec. 2. Declassification and Downgrading.

With respect to any matter classified under Executive Order 13526 of December 29, 2009 (Classified National Security Information), the Attorney General may, by applying the standard set forth in either section 3.1(a) or section 3.1(d) of Executive Order 13526, declassify, downgrade, or direct the declassification or downgrading of information or intelligence that relates to the Attorney General’s review referred to in section 1 of this memorandum. Before exercising this authority, the Attorney General should, to the extent he deems it practicable, consult with the head of the originating intelligence community element or department. This authority is not delegable and applies notwithstanding any other authorization or limitation set forth in Executive Order 13526.

♦Sec. 3. General Provisions.

(a) Nothing in this memorandum shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:

(i) the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or

(ii) the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.

(b) This memorandum shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.

(c) The authority in this memorandum shall terminate upon a vacancy in the office of Attorney General, unless expressly extended by the President.

(d) This memorandum is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

(e) The Attorney General is authorized and directed to publish this memorandum in the Federal Register.

Barr’s trip to Italy did seem like a break from the routine, so I will keep hoping for a little while longer. But one wonders, at what point will it be truly too late to be of much use.

Everyone should have seen a head fake coming here. The IG report, IMHO, was never going to drop on a Friday, I doubt Sundance really believed that tbh. Hes a lot more insightful on these things than me, I got him on the book of Revelation/Daniel etc, but hes the best I ever seen on putting these deep state shenanigans together.

Anyway, I think this was all planed to try and get lying Schiff to play his cards, the IG Report and Barr’s coming investigation needs a clear runway so to speak, we don’t need interference, which is all the Ukraine BS was designed to do, distract from the IG Report and Barr’s coming Deep State investigation. We know Barr has to take these people out, or they will get him, I think he knows that. We shall see.

No way anything is dropping on a Friday, that was a head fake all the way.

Thank you so much for posting this link with the vid. What a great speech!
It truly gives the insight to the character of Mr. Barr.
I know that waiting for results is getting painful for all in the know how, but we have to keep in sight how much it means for the cause for the masses to understand what is really going on in the US.
Keep in mind, that in the meantime all the traitors in question are also sweating bullets, and feeling the pain of not knowing if they will succeed with their evil plan and be saved or be doomed.
To me it seems they are loosing, and I have faith in Trump and Barr.

During Horowitz’s latest trip to the Hill a few weeks ago, he stated that his office had finished the report. It was in the classification/declassification phase. He said that the release date would depend on how much back and forth discussion over what would be publicly available. He seemed to lean toward transparency.

IOW, he pretty much said that there would be a tussle over what would or would not be classified/buried.

About 4-5 weeks ago, in ruminating on this upcoming release, Joe DiGenova said that he actually hoped some important things would be redacted, for that would likely mean that Barr and Durham were holding back things on certain people that would be “handled by Durham” and offered for indictments.

      So, who knows.

This is our last hope. If they have actually done their work as we hope they have, then there will be THOUSANDS of pages of evidence, documentation, indictments etc. I can understand them wanting to be thorough. I can understand new evidence coming up with the Ukraine hoax, etc. If this doesn’t result in arrests of the traitors, then all is lost. This really is our last hope. The entire future relies on this report.

These are politically motivated crimes, so it is very important to have a politically neutral jury, perhaps made up entirely of independents, with no affiliation with either main political party.

The U.S Constitution does not have a express venue requirement for grand juries as it does trials. The AG trial manual stays that a prosecutor shouldn’t convene a grand jury in a different district than where the crime is committed.
Shouldn’t is a weasel word that does not convey a mandatory meaning. It is not a word that conveys any legal meaning at all. Should may indicate a general ethics guideline but this is a specific circumstance where equal protection of the law (two tier justice system) is being violated.
If the AG seeks to build momentum and critical mass and get indictments it may have to rely on the Federal District of Connecticut. The Defendant still have the right to be tried in DC.
Barr could be committing political suicide if he tries this. But, we may be desperate times here.

Releasing the FISA Report at the end of October is too late to impact the 2019 Virginia Legislative Elections – which could therefore both flip Democrats (Assembly & State Senate).

That would render Virginia a pretty useless state to hold trials in.

I do recall discussion along the lines that Durham would not wait for the IG Report.

I also recall discussion that the IG Report would not be permitted to come out until Durham was ready (at least for Phase 1?), and if it did we could be fairly sure that no indictments would follow.

I hardly think that Barr would follow up such a stunning speech at Notre Dame over the weekend by abandoning the very principles he claimed were under siege, and in which he believed. If people were starting to have doubts, perhaps that speech should have reassured them.

    “Classification” issue? Maybe.

Or maybe Barr/Durham weren’t quite ready with the simultaneous indictments.

    We’ll see.

IG Horowitz is obviously a hardworking and diligent public official and but this point, I am not comfortable with placing the burden on him to release his official report for which he will likely be attacked by partisan politicians and others regardless of his finding. The Inspector Generals are intended to promote a functioning and efficient government and not necessarily the preferred means to conduct criminal investigations of top level personnel such as the FBI Director and DOJ lawyers. Seems like it’s the AG ‘s and also Congress’s job to present to the public such am important report and and try to present in a manner where the public can easily understand the activiities, persons and events in the report

Barr’s speech at Notre Dame was excellent. It was reassuring that he chose to stand up and articulate the requirement of a moral compass in a free society and how the religious values on which this country was founded maintain freedom.

Granted, AG Barr’s speech was given at Notre Dame, but it was being recorded and not in a covert manner. Barr was throwing down a gauntlet.

People like Comey speak self-aggrandizing platitudes. Barr spoke about the necessity of maintaining our ability to live our faith. If you do a web search for “AG Barr Notre Dame speech”, you see that he struck a nerve with the social justice warrior types. He is not hiding under his desk.

The most important fact is not that the report “is delayed”, but that there are regular organized leaks telling us that the report is “imminent”. Is it because they (Barr & Co) try to make us to believe in it? Somebody plays this game on purpose. And the purpose here is, definitely, not to publish the truth about spying on Trump and other Americans.

I’m not going to wave the white flag just because this is being delayed.

    1. We have no idea if the person Marie got the information from had accurate information.
    2. We know that McCabe’s lawyers spent 2 days at the DOJ. You can be it wasn’t just for coffee.
    3. Clapper says, quote “We were only doing what obama TOLD us to do.” HE’S SCARED.

Those are only a few of the reasons that give me great confidence that this report will contain criminal referrals. And most important, Horowitz’ report is only going to set the stage for what is to follow with Durham and you can bet they have been coordinating. Durham is the one who they’re freaking out over. He’s got the grand jury power and the prosecution authority.

We know without a doubt; Durham is charging ahead like a bull in a China shop.

The only thing this delay is going to do is make these conspirators sweat longer. No matter what is redacted, it is not going to change what Durham is going to do. He knows EVERYTHING that is in that report. And HE is who I’m counting on. Horowitz is the matinee. Durham is “Showtime” !

Durham knows he and his staff will be investigated to the extreme by the Democrats, deep state and the msm in order to impugn their work, their integrity, and their findings! They will give AG Barr and SP Durham the Presidential treatment! Perhaps even some WBs will be brought forth! Very rough days ahead for the deep state is not going down with a fight.

Maybe they want to play out a little more line for Schiff to run with. The news about the surveillance on reporters didn’t break until after the Yovanovich testimony, which tells me they’re letting Schiff run with the bait. Schiff overreach starting to look real bad, so don’t interrupt.

Subpoena response is due, I think and now the news of Schiff not needing the whistleblower is out there. Schiff stuff might be dependent (to Schiff) on a timing mechanism that the good guys want to screw up and/or the more moves Schiff makes the more classified stuff will be released to rebut him.

I think POTUS is sending a lot of messages in his speeches at the rallies for special delivery to the bad guys. For example, when POTUS does his Strock/Page parody, maybe he’s telling the bad guys he has tapes. Would Page change her tune when she heard POTUS recite her words recited on live TV?

Too much under the surface activity out there to get good handle on what’s happening unless you’re read in to the lingo, IMO. Have to be patient and wait it out.

Schiff used to be a prosecutor in the Los Angeles US attorney’s office. I hope some enterprising persons will get curious about how he handled cases. The guy’s behavior reminds me too much of Mueller and Weissman. Surely, Schiff’s habits of lying and leaking and his scorn for the US Constitution did not start when he was sworn in as a congressman, did it?

Also, I have read (here?) that in the Democrat party in California, presidential electors are appointed by their congressmen. Ed Buck was the elector for Schiff’s district.

Ask yourselves why on earth an honest lawman would appoint a shady character such as Ed Buck to be a presidential elector.

(A Permanent Power Struggle? –from “Untitledgate by Matt Taibbi.

“The Trump presidency is the first to reveal a full-blown schism between the intelligence community and the WH. Senior figures in the CIA, NSA, FBI and other agencies made an open break from their would-be boss before Trump’s inauguration, commencing a public war of leaks that has not stopped…Op-ed pages and news networks are packed now with ex-spooks editorializing about stories in which they had personal involvement:…The sidelined “intel chiefs” are once again playing central roles in making the public case. Comey says “we may now be at a point” where impeachment is necessary. Brennan, with unintentional irony, says the U.S. is “no longer a democracy.” Clapper says the Ukraine whistleblower complaint is “one of the most credible” he’s seen…”

“…Most casual news consumers can only think of (impeachment) in terms of Mike Pence becoming president. The real problem would be the precedent of a de facto intelligence community veto over (all future) elections, using the lunatic spookworld brand of politics that has dominated the last three years of anti-Trump agitation….”

“….CIA/FBI-backed impeachment could also be a self-fulfilling prophecy. If Donald Trump thinks he’s going to be jailed upon leaving office, he’ll sooner or later figure out that his only real move is to start acting like the “dictator” MSNBC and CNN keep insisting he is. Why give up the White House and wait to be arrested, when he still has theoretical authority to send Special Forces troops rappelling through the windows of every last Russiagate/Ukrainegate leaker? That would be the endgame in a third world country, and it’s where we’re headed, unless someone calls off this craziness. Welcome to the Permanent Power Struggle.”

The so called infighting is DEEPSTATE fighting for their lives to keep the coverup with their partisans, lawyers ,threats against a handful of boyscouts try ing to get their cooking badges…I suggest those boyscouts better realize they are fighting a cornered bear! I think we can thank Wray for this latest development. It must make him and his precious FBI look really, really bad – criminal even.

The irony is that we already freaking know about the rampant criminality! How could it look worse than it already does???

I am not sure if these delays are a bad thing. I believe Barr is not against the President, but I am unsure what he is for! The timing of release of these reports and other declassifications should occur at the optimum times to destroy the impeachment narrative and ensure the reelection of the President. The truth needs to come out, and I pray that it does, but when and how is best for all the people to accept that?

    • Personally, I think that the timing should not be – and probably is not – “political.” The report should be released as soon as all of the necessary review (and, classification) steps have been properly completed. And I frankly expect that this is what will occur. This is known to be a big report. It’s been “an awful lot of work for an awful lot of people for an awful long time.” Do it right. Get ‘er done. Ship it.

I cautiously advance the notion that a report concerning this subject, and of this probable scope, will necessarily contain sections which probably should remain classified, and that there may well be many [legitimate(!)] stakeholders in that classification, which probably touches most Departments.

While classification has obviously been abused (excellent book: “Senseless Secrets”), it still does have a legitimate purpose. We should publicly know how these government systems have been abused, without necessarily being told every detail about them.

The entire ground is covered in “nuts of evidence” that IMO shows this was a total frame job and a fraud on the President from day one. A frickin blind squirrel couldn’t miss all these nuts of evidence.

So IMO Barr and Durham MUST know today that PT is totally innocent of this fraud BUT by delaying the report for another 2 weeks it gives the Dems their chance to scar PT with the brand of articles of impeachment.

And once branded it will NEVER EVER go away from the history books.

So I would be shocked if AG Barr, the man who gave that speech at Notre Dame would ALLOW, knowing full well IMO that PT is completely innocent but yet allows these fraudsters the opportunity to brand PT for life.

    Think about this possibility.

Possibly allowing history to be changed FOREVER all because one did not act or speak up in time to protect a known innocent man and in this case that man is the President of the United States.

True. But also true, if he’s reelected but the deep state/uniparty isn’t destroyed, everything disappears once his term is over. It’s existential now. Both sides see that. Hard not to see how this doesn’t turn more violent if not stopped soon. Of course, we’ve been down this road before, in the 1850’s, and most older nations have had multiple civil wars.

If the Horowitz report is what it should be, then when it comes out in the news cycles, holidays, or congressional sessions won’t matter. It will be big and recommend indictments of big fish, and those indictments will follow. Everyone will stop and stare. For months. Throughout the trials. If all is as it should be.

So, whether it comes out on a Friday, during Brexit, or during the holidays doesn’t matter. On the other hand, if the report is a cover up (“…strongly condemn the negligence and cavalier arrogance of agents who…. nevertheless, one can’t judge too harshly given the fog of intelligence failures… blindspots… perhaps overzealous but well-intentioned…. recommend reforms so that this never happens again…. do not rise to the level of criminal…. “) then, again, it doesn’t matter when the report comes out.

So, in any event, the timing of the release (news cycle, holiday, brexit) is not important.

No surprise to anybody here, but there’s probably nothing classified in the report. They’re simply using security classifications to hide information from the public. It’s like the now-famous Nunes memo. I had a TS/SCI clearance for nearly 20 years. There wasn’t a single solitary classified element of that memo. Not even FOUO, let alone S or TS.

Everyone here needs to tweet and Facebook and comment to POTUS on social media to fully declassify the report and release it unredacted to the public. POTUS is remarkably open to what he reads.

A part of my brain (probably the limbic system) wants the report to come out heavily redacted. Shortly after that, it should be declassified thus exposing the Deep State deep six-ing evidence of crimes and information personally embarrassing to the intelligence community and other Deep Staters including the Gang of Eight.

Forget about anyone in the government releasing anything about the IC. Just pay attention to what is reported here and by Judicial Watch as well as John Solomon. You won’t be getting any satisfaction from your government.
