Sunday Talks: Kevin McCarthy -vs- Maria Bartiromo…

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy appears on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo to discuss several ongoing political issues.

In the first two-thirds of the interview Leader McCarthy discusses Iran attacking the Saudi oil facility, and the ramifications therein. Speaker Nancy Pelosi holding back the USMCA hoping to get past the Canadian election; and the current field of 2020 democrat candidates. McCarthy holds the opinion that Elizabeth Warren will be the Democrat candidate for President.

In the last third of the interview (@11:15) McCarthy discusses the upcoming IG report on FISA abuse.  McCarthy believes: Andrew McCabe will be indicted; the IG report will identify culpability for James Comey, and the construct of a soft coup will be highlighted.

I don’t have enough knowledge about Saudi/Iran/ME relationships to comment on this, but thought I would share a view from Thomas Wictor from Social Quod Verum who seems very knowledgeable on the subject. I would welcome any opinions on this.
It seems to be along the lines of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. The Saudis and Iran are deep seated enemies. Although the Iranian people want to rid themselves of the mullahs, if they also have a hate for Saudi Arabia any attack by SA might unite Iran which would be a huge step backwards for deposing the current regime in Iran.
President Trump & MBS hopefully have strategies to avoid all out war, which is probably the handiwork of the treasonous BHO & company who are advising Iran.

In a real emergency, one blows off the low GOR gas to atmosphere (“flaring”) to stabilize the oil and drop the easy water, in commandeered storage tanks.

It can be quick and easy if you really want to produce the oil. Also a big field like that should have a lot of spare equipment, new, refurbished and even old left overs standing in the desert.

There IS the longstanding question, is the only way to sort out the ME, to nuke the place, turn in into a glass ashtray?

Apperently PDJT has decided no, at least for now. However, one reason NOT to, i.e. us needing their oil, has been eliminated.
I wonder if that changes THEIR calculations at all.
Before, they could predict U.S. reactions to any action in the ME, based on our need for their oil. Now, not so much.

The dynamic has changed. How nice to have that collar and leash, off our necks!

Oh, I think PDJT agrees with you. The ME is a trap, like the obstruction and perjury traps, he sees and ain’t falling for.

His doctrine, peace through strength, is fully a pillar, along with ‘Economic Security is National Security’.
The two aspects compliment each other. When fully implemented, it means we will be able to afford to maintain such a military advantage that no one will be able to contest us, militarily.
But, we won’t HAVE to use it, except to defend, cause competition will be based on trade, and there we have an inherent advantage.

Removing CO2 from air will not be helpful. CO2 is plant food and is helping plants grow more with less need for water. CO2 is not causing either global warming or climate change. If anything, I think more CO2 should be added to the air, especially if it could be done without combustion.

    • Good analysis! One of the first things taught in biology class is that animals breathe in oxygen and exhale CO2, while plants take in CO2 during the day and release oxygen.

In a process called “photosynthesis,” plants use the energy in sunlight to convert CO2 and water to sugar and oxygen (O2). The plants use the sugar for food—food that we use, too, when we eat plants or animals that have eaten plants — and they release the oxygen (O2) into the atmosphere.

If it were not for plants, we would have no oxygen in our air!

    • Pursues Emergency Pipeline Approvals FIRST to boost production.

  12. Doppler says:

On the climate science front, it is uncertain what effect rising CO2 from fossil fuels might have. Based on “computer models” (garbage in, garbage out), there’s supposedly a 1 to 3% chance significant temperature rises will occur (significant in the sense of huge economic impact). Not settled science, but not out of the realm of possibility. Separate your opposition to those who demand world government eliminate fossil fuels now or we all die, from the uncertainty of the effect our energy economy might have on the climate over time. It makes sense to have a plan, in case temperatures do rise. McCarthy mentioned a company with a technology to remove carbon. The WSJ describes plans (affordable at $2B per year) to spread particulates in the atmosphere to deflect sunlight, and thereby reverse any warming that actually does threaten massive harm. The point is, being prepared is part of American DNA, just as don’t be fooled by con men is. Marxists are all in on the next election, and I believe Trump will call their bluff. Don’t be a science denier. Be a science skeptic, with reasonable plans for the all the potential outcomes. And don’t let your political beliefs influence your interest in and skepticism about what science is teaching us.

Since we don’t know what really causes the ice glaciation to start and recede the idea that we should willy-nilly throw particles into the air to block sunlight is idiotic. ANY environmental engineering is idiotic given how little we know about the various factors that control climate. Hint: Human sourced CO2 isn’t one of them. There has been no, none, actual scientific evidence to support the idea of CO2 driven climate change.

Doppler, your use of the pejorative phrase “denier” traditionally applied to those who reject the holocaust, discredits your comment.

Currently every crop on this planet grows about 15 to 20 percent more food due to the increase in CO2 from 280 PPM to 405 PPM. This is accomplished with zero increase in land or water required. The crops are also more heat and drought resistant, and more frost resistant.

The observed troposphere warming is about 1/3 of what the IPCC model mean projected. There is ZERO global increase in droughts floods, hurricanes, cyclones, tornadoes, or rate is Sea Level rise. In short the benefits are real, manifesting and massive, the predicted harms are failing to appear.

Your misuse of the precautionary principle is notably absent of the documented one world GOVERNMENT political goals of globalist that infects the field of science as applied to human CO2 emissions. 1. They will “draft” a moderate who can co-opt PDJT’s business orientation and who is relatively distant from the swamp. Michael Bloomberg comes to mind. There are others.
      2. They will create a PDJT scandal out of thin air that the media will run with 24/7. The message will be, “Vote for our “clean” business oriented candidate. You’ll get a Washington outsider with PDJT’s executive capabilities but without the drama.”
