With respect to strategic position, it was often referred to during the Cold War days as the GIUK Gap (Greenland-Island-UK). The elements Russian Northern Fleet, especially their submarines had to pass through it to reach the Atlantic. This is still a major monitoring point for military and commercial traffic entering the Atlantic from the North, and now there is the potential for mining of key industrial minerals as well as access to major fishing areas of the Atlantic.

On a historical note, it was also a major passage for German U-Boats seeking to avoid the Bay of Biscay or for those stationed in North of the English Channel.

Has anyone just watched Maria B on Fox Business with Peter Navarro? She was practically hysterical when the ‘breaking news’ about China tariffs on “some U.S. goods” hit her desk. ‘The sky , stock market, is falling Peter!’ Don’t you see that??’ Does China have her on the payroll?

Wait, she is still going at Navarro about the darn stock market falling–it fell 800 points last week Maria and bounced back- I have no use for hysterical women talking business. Please, Mr. President, tweet something.

This potentially actually be a test run-up to 2020. The Central Banks know they can now invert the “Yield Curve” on cue and Wall Street knows they can swing metrics to recession signals whenever they desire via Algorithmic Computer Trading..

Most folks are not knowledgeable enough to look beyond the “economic metrics” and shrill news, especially if it is “conservative” FBN sounding the alarm besides Bloomberg, CNN, WSJ, MSNBC.

Charles Payne, plus (most of the time) David Asman and Liz McDonald are the only decent stalwarts left on FBN.

Lou Dobbs is a strong supporter of the President but he does not cover business topics. I like Lou and believe the main reason he is on FBN is due to his uncontrollable staunch support of the President, which Fox News will not show.

Probably the most important person Lou introduced (to me any way) was Ed Rollins. He laid out the Candidate Trump path to victory the day after RNC Convention and stuck to his story.

      • Don’t count on that. Trump is using tariffs as a weapon to counter-act the economic warfare that China has been waging for many decades. He’s not going to stop doing that because China drops their own tariffs. His purpose is to reset the global economy away from “globalism” and back to “nationalism.”

As several pundits have commented, Americans deluded themselves into thinking that, if China became a “most favored nation” and blah-de-blah, suddenly they would turn into nice capitalists. Twenty years later they’ve come to realize that China is a nation ruled by an oppressive regime based on central control, and the authors of The Art of War. The only way to change the game is to … change … the game. To move it from being played on their terms to yours.

And here we are again folks another Friday and our Great President Trump is still toying with the Trotsky’s. He does not flag he does not fail, he runs right at them and mows them down. It’s really that simple. He has the entire cabal exposed for who and what they are, enemy globalist hacks who lean left and hate the USA. We have the numbers and we have the strength through God. Stay cool, stay calm, follow our great President Trump and always be prepared.

KAG! …by having a firm resolve as the winds of evil are blowing all around us. But we must understand their BS is a mile wide and a millimeter thick, just poke and prod at them and they will evaporate like a stale fart in a brisk wind.

Be prepared for more disclosures against President Trump from the CNN. In January 2017, Obama was busy exercising his presidential authority to declassify allot of materials that was carried way by Brennan, Clapper, McCabe, Comey et al. That statement by the ex-Obama staffer, encouraging her compatriots to leak or walk away with as much material as possible before President Elect Trump took office was not a mistake, it was a signal as well as warning. Schumer’s statement about the IC revenge and Statements about Obama’s database were also the same.

These people have loads of unclassified materials for use in 2020.

Somehow, the President also needs to find a way to declare an national intel emergency to open Obama’s archives.

    Globalist Goal!

“Powell also won’t say that the Federal Reserve’s days are numbered. That the central bank’s obsolete and one crisis away from its own destruction. That it has cannibalized the nation’s time and treasure, transferring individual wealth to Washington for Washington’s ends.

Powell certainly won’t say that he may very well be the last Chair of the Federal Reserve. That the economic model of the 20th century is over. That increased issuances of debt no longer translates into increased economic growth. That the Fed merely provokes wild asset price swings, negative yielding bonds, casino style speculation, and epic bubbles and busts. And that with full knowledge of this, he’ll still take the nation into the hole of negative yield.”

the key is negative yield so PROFIT DISAPPEARS!

I am a very long time lurker here at CTH. I saw your post, and decided to make a first post in response. Do not fret or get down. Many feel the way you do. It is part of a strategy to discourage you. Consuming the news, even ‘conservative’ news, will only keep you in a state of continuous agitation. Everything is “breaking” and “bombshell” and “huge”. Most of the real world is in fact awash in good news. But that will never be covered. Hype and panic are their stock in trade, if only to keep you watching. To keep you hooked on their media drug. Perpetual crisis is not a healthy condition for the human state.

As I counsel my own family, and as have people like Mr. Limbaugh have stated, sometimes you must take a vacation from news and current events. If only to give your mind a chance to breathe and heal. Go enjoy life’s simple pleasures and your family for a time. God’s wonderful creations are just outside. The ‘breaking news’ will be there when you return. And this time of year, there is not much real news anyway; the powers that be like to take a vacation about this time, too.

All justice eventually comes. And the power of prayer is remarkable. I believe it to have played a vital part in the selection of our current President. We are in a spiritual struggle as much as anything else today.

All women good, need to hate oppressor-men. But take a look at the marxist organizations – men rule. Stokley Carmichael: “The only role for women is prone.” Early sex – child abuse – is for horney male marxists first and foremost, and ending the family and a girl’s/woman’s sense of safety and security in her own body and home. The latter is the American promise for all Americans. Law and order. Liberty and justice for all.

I know NOTHING about the legitimacy of this site, but here’s what I see on this topic, other than cyclical references to same:

According to the portions of this highly classified report we’re permitted to reveal, in mid-July the FBI requested a temporary export permit from the Foreign Ministry for an advanced underground radar system—a request granted under standard permit protocols stating that such goods and technology exported must always be controlled by a Russian entity—and in this case was a SVR expert technologist able to operate the world’s most advanced underground radar system used exclusively by the Russian military which can recognize ferrous metal and non-ferrous metals at depths up to 5 meters called the Deep-Earth Metal Detector MG-1—who after being directed by the FBI to probe the exterior grounds of Epstein’s satanic temple, saw this advanced underground radar system detecting an approximate 1 meter (about 3 feet) tubular metal pipe extending from the base of this satanic temple and disappearing into the waters below it—after which FBI divers began bringing up from these waters what appeared to be small human bones and skulls this SVR expert technologist likened to those one would see coming from the graves of young children.

A staff memo updating the two senators’ long-running probe discloses that the FBI — the version run in 2016 by the now-disgraced and fired James Comey, Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok — failed to pursue access to “highly classified” evidence that could have resolved important questions.

The failure to look at the evidence back in 2016 occurred even though the agents believed access to the sensitive evidence was “necessary” to complete the investigation into Clinton’s improper transmission of classified emails — some top-secret — on her unsecure private email server, the memos show.

To make matters worse, the Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) has known about that decision since at least 2018, thanks to the work of the DOJ’s internal watchdog, Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz, who provided DOJ leaders and Congress with a classified appendix explaining what happened.

But Johnson and Grassley have been unable to get answers for a year, even from Attorney General William Barr, about whether the FBI intends to look at the critical evidence it skipped back in 2016.
