“Meaningful legislation that will make a real difference…..”
      —————-
Do you know how laws work, Mr. President?

They work on the honor system.

Someone willing to kill a convenience store clerk for $11.17 isn’t going to care if you pass “meaningful legislation banning erroneously named ‘high capacity’ magazines’ “, or any other law.

Instead of asking gun-hating Democrats and gun-hating Republicans for their ideas on “meaningful legislation”, how about asking Congress, the MSM, and the nation to have a “meaningful conversation” about how mass shootings are indicative of an inner, moral decay and rot that no amount of new gun laws will ever fix.

Up until 1968 anyone of age could order a revolver, pistol, rifle, or shotgun and have it delivered via U.S. mail….to their home. When guns were that easy to get we had no mass shootings (forget about Texas clock tower, autopsy showed brain tumor). Guns are 100X harder to get today and yet, with tens of thousands of gun laws on the books, mass shootings still happen.

Mr. President, how about declaring that until our culture returns to a greater semblance of morality…until Hollywood and rap stop glorifying gun violence…until the rabid left wing media stop promulgating lies about ‘guns cause crime’…no law will stop the insanity.

How about it, Mr. President? Let’s expose, examine, and extract the root cause of gun violence, the decline of morality, the exclusion of God, promoted by the left for more than 50 years.

Thank you. Your constituent and supporter.

Are these people ignorant or purposefully giving us this shitake mushroom??!!.

The anti-Semitism is DIRECLY intellectually and politically descended from Karl Marx. The (D) was foolish to truck with the diehard Reds, who brought along Labor and enthusiasm. Most Jews, as with most Christians, don’t REALLY believe in the Bible, and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But they have ought nto the SJW.

This is recorded history. TheReds are so hot on themselves that this is all recorded intheir writings, newsletters, manifestos, etc.

The Marxists hate Jews because we all are a Judeo-Christian society, and Marxists view our prevailing society as the Enemy. And belief in the real God is an impediment to Reds getting all control. Note that Jews should see Satan as the Enemy.

To go back to 2012 is barely going back.

Cit: Given the current trends, how long before similar restrictions are imposed upon our 1st. amendment rights as well ? We’re already seeing ( like gun purchase/ownership in many states/municipalities’ defacto contravention of the 2nd amendment ) being paralleled by DOS of various ( mostly conservative ) individuals by multiple platforms purporting to be ” open forums not responsible for user content ” justifying exercising editorial authority over what they distribute as ” hate speech or inappropriate ” or whatever excuse is convenient to the moment . Excerpt:

The belief that Trump will win reelection — gleaned from conversations with around 20 foreign diplomats, international officials and analysts who deal with them — appears widespread.

    >snip<

There’s no known scientific survey on the topic — few foreign officials would participate in one given diplomatic norms that preclude them from commenting on another country's internal politics. But none who talked to POLITICO was willing to say Trump will lose. Instead, they pointed to three key advantages for Trump: He’s the incumbent, the U.S. economy is strong and the Democrats have no definitive front-runner to challenge him.

The expectation could affect how allies and adversaries approach negotiations with the U.S. While countries such as China and Iran have shown signs of trying to wait out Trump, several foreign officials said it would be ill-advised to count on a Trump defeat in 2020. Even if Trump loses, they argued, some of his policies and views may shape U.S. foreign policy for years to come.

“The way it looks to people is it’s going to be another four years,” said an Arab diplomat, who, like most people, requested anonymity to discuss the politically sensitive subject.

Anti-Police rhetoric is being ramped up once again in advance of the 2020 election.

    So here’s a useful counterpoint
This has been documented before, in 2014 and perhaps earlier

There Is No Epidemic of Racist Police Shootings

… white officers are no more likely than black or Hispanic officers to shoot black civilians.

It is a racial group’s rate of violent crime that determines police shootings, not the race of the officer.

The more frequently officers encounter violent suspects from any given racial group, the greater the chance that members of that racial group will be shot by a police officer.

        Yeah, but they don’t
(need to ask themselves anything, actually)

There’s no payoff for them in asking those hard questions

        There’s no monetary gain
        There’s no “demonize-whitey” thrill
        There’s no knockout-attack adrenaline
        There’s no peer approval
No mau-mau-ing corporations for ransom / protection money (I’m looking at you, Jesse and Al)

Only the most sober and intelligent of their spokesmen and leaders will ask those questions

And they’ll likely not command a large movement, not as large as the countervailing anti-police forces.

And especially not with the New York Times egging on the anti-police, anti-whitey, nation-built-on-slaves narrative they’ll be pushing. The “1619 Project” – keyword search it if anyone hasn’t heard of it yet.

So – unfortunately – the “hands-up” faction’s going to be the loudest up thru the election, I’m afraid.

          The “1619 Project”:

But a project with the aim of reframing U.S. history has to be more than a bunch of articles and podcasts. A major goal of the 1619 Project is to take the reframing message to schools. … to create a 1619 Project curriculum. “Here you will find reading guides, activities, and other resources to bring The 1619 Project into your classroom,” the center says in a message to teachers.

The paper also wants to reach into schools itself. “We will be sending some of our writers on multi-city tours to talk to students,” Hannah-Jones said recently, “and we will be sending copies of the magazine to high schools and colleges. Because to us, this project really takes wing when young people are able to read this and understand the way that slavery has shaped their country’s history.”

“The goal of The 1619 Project is to reframe American history.”

The basic thrust of the 1619 Project is that everything in American history is explained by slavery and race.

          https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columnists/new-goal-for-new-york-times-reframe-american-history-and-target-trump-too

So that’s a full-fledged propaganda effort, from writing curriculum and study materials to sending trained propaganda agents into schools.

          Let that sink in …

On top of the public re-education of adults through New York Times articles.

There’s a lot of bad and mischief coming down the pike, folks. Be on the lookout.

The long game. We’re kinda screwed, hate to say, although we can mount countermeasures for awhile. But in another generation …

Keep in mind what New York Times recently stated will be their strategy the next couple years. It’ll be reinforced in the schools with teaching materials (read “propaganda”) and a big, leftist push.

Left-wing activists trying to hijack kids’ minds with ‘ethnic studies’
    https://nypost.com/2019/08/22/left-wing-activists-trying-to-hijack-kids-minds-with-ethnic-studies/

The curriculum tars white students — by dint of their whiteness — as oppressors. The course calls for “the privilege walk,” an exercise to teach white students about privileges they take for granted. White kids will have to endure this harassment to graduate.

The curriculum frames American capitalism as a system in which “people of color are disproportionately exploited.” Never mind that capitalism has lifted billions of people of color out of poverty.

The push for ethnic studies is a tidal wave, from Oregon to Indiana, to individual school districts like Bridgeport, Conn. Here in New York City, Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza prioritizes social justice ideology far above reading, writing and arithmetic.

My best friend just quit her fancy job with NY PSS under Chancellor Caranzza. She tried to hang in there to get her full pension but was just so disgusted by the politics her bitterness was hurting her family life. Every mayoral regime change in NYC also brings education shake up of people and policies. The kids suffer & nobody but the actual classroom teachers care. And now all of them over 40 and white have been fired for “optics”. Imagine a large Dept of AOC types so dumb they tell the staff they inherited that NYPSS is there stepping stone to D.C. under Kamala or E. Warren.

Yes my friend I s a lib but I sure learn a lot from her. She’s going to come around Bc she has a teacher’s heart. Not a teachers union heart. Also it’s just hard to navigate a world where “hate white males” is the answer & you have a little blonde blue eyed 4th grader son.

The white male children are really getting screwed in the head by all this nonsense. I hope they don’t all commit suicide over it but I think that’s already a thing.

In simple terms it means they pay you to make a loan and will take money away when you save. From an economic standpoint it assumes that savers will spend their money rather than have it confiscated and businesses/people will take out loans to build something. In reality it distorts the whole economy and screws those of us that save for retirement and are financially responsible. Yet another experiment with unintended bad short and long term consequences.

Spying on the 2 major candidates most likely to win the election & be the incomoing President isn’t unbelievable. The purpose would be to have dirt w/ which to blackmail whoever won, & since they expected Clinton to win, she’d be a high priority target. & no, they wouldn’t blackmail her w/ the stuff everyone already knows about

LBJ & Nixon were both scared to death of the IC b/c they knew they were being watched & they had to rely on Hoover, who didn’t trust the IC either. But they knew he was slippery & kept tabs on them

    • I definitely see in Byrne’s words an attempt to say that “Hillary Clinton wasn’t the ‘perp’ … she was a victim, too.” And, “Trump wasn’t the only one being spied upon, so all of this really wasn’t a coup d’etat.”

But it is quite plain on the face of it that there was – and, still is – only one person that these people feared and sought to overthrow. They weren’t – and aren’t – afraid of “a corrupt politician like themselves.” They wanted to – and still want to – rid themselves of exactly one man.

‘U.S. Cyber Agency Says Reducing Risks From China Top Priority’

‘CISA to focus on reducing risks of Chinese supply chain hacks
Other priorities include election security, industrial systems
A newly created U.S. cybersecurity agency said Thursday that China represents the greatest strategic risk to the U.S., and as a result, the agency’s top operational priority is reducing the risks from Chinese compromises to the global supply chain, including emerging 5G technology.

The statement was part of a report outlining the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s strategic intent for the next five years. The agency is responsible for protecting America’s critical infrastructure, like election systems and power grids, from hackers and other cybersecurity threats.

Besides China, the agency’s other priorities include election security, federal cybersecurity and reducing risks for industrial control systems.

Christopher Krebs, the agency’s director, said in a speech Thursday that his agency is the nation’s “risk adviser,” which doesn’t have its hands on the keyboards of computer networks but rather seeks to make other agencies and companies do a better job managing risks against cyberattacks.

The priorities reflect the work CISA has already been doing since the agency was established in November 2018, a time during which the Chinese manufacturer Huawei Technologies Co. was blacklisted by the Trump administration amid security concerns and Russian agents were indicted for seeking to manipulate the 2016 presidential election….’

The Simon Cheng Uk staff in their consulate debacle a case in point. Canada has a big concern as 300k Canadians live in HK, the US as 60 K, not small issues. people matter.

The US and Canada are united on many issues on all fronts that US Policy is pursuing and that was made clear in the press conference after the meeting. I was glad to hear it confirmed.

    • Knowing that Horowitz’s focus and duties are in many ways procedural, I hope that one thing which will directly come out of his findings is a discussion of how the PATRIOT Act should be revised … or, removed altogether. The “FISA Court” system, which pre-dates it, also must be reconsidered.

We very plainly see that the administrative and legal safeguards that were supposed to be part of this legislation, and that was supposed to protect Americans, obviously did not work. We see that access to gigantic troves of information was available to “FBI Contractors.” We see that doors had remained wide open for many years before Adm. Rogers closed a few of them. These secret systems, which are obviously extraordinary in their depth and scope (should they be?), were rather effortlessly abused for craven political purposes.

Even as Mr. Durham et al probe the legal questions of “who did it and what did they do,” Horowitz needs to explain “how was this possible in the first place?”

Do we actually need that kind of surveillance capability … at all? The more information you concentrate in just one place and make available at the click of a mouse button, the more vulnerability you create … for the nation. Of course I am angry that anyone did this – but, I’m also alarmed that anyone could. Senators and Congressmen need to sternly address this issue, “now that we know.”

    • These “state compacts” will be overturned as Unconstitutional before the election arrives. If you want to amend the Constitution, you can try to do that. But you can’t disenfranchise the entire population of your State and say that instead of voting as they direct you’re going to do what California says. Sorry … you’ve got to amend the Constitution, and, “good luck with that.” Every State – and the District of Columbia – has a say in who the President and Vice-President will be, and you can’t take that away from them by any state law.
