I took a break for a couple days as we had some slow news days and I ran out of (previously unreported) older content to post. I expect it will be quiet for a bit until the new wall (Project 2) in Texas is finished.

Ah, at a cottage in the beauty of nature with no city distractions, sounds like the life. 🙂

I could make a guess as to how long before we might hear from them but I’d probably be far off (too many unknowns). On Aug. 8th, Kolfage said they were finalizing Project 2 so I’m not sure when the actual start date for the wall (grading/wall building) would have been.

              Factors & assumptions:
              – ~|25 million raised
              – ~8 million spent on wall (Project 1)
              – Leaving ~ 17 million for remaining project(s)
              – assuming they put everything into the 2nd project (leaving nothing for project 3)
              – assuming there are no private donors with putting up additional capital…
              – assuming project 2 in Texas is relatively flat…
              – going with the under 4 million figure per mile that Kris Kobach once mentioned for flatter land (3-4 million per mile would pay for between 4.25 to 5.6 miles)…

              – assuming they still only have 6 excavators set up for hanging bollard panels…
(6 excavators X 56 ft. per excavator X 3 pours per day = 1,006 ft. for 3 pours. However, I think Fisher was sometimes getting in a 4th pour in the evening. Concrete cured fast with hot weather.)
              – Not sure if efficiencies learned from Project 1 have been implemented…
              – Not sure if the entire site needs to be graded before construction on the wall can actually begin
              – Not sure how far behind they follow with the concrete road, lighting/security system

So maybe with the above we could come up with a low estimate of 1,006 ft. per day for just the wall (assume they are doing only 3 pours per day).
Then we just need to know when they started on the actual wall.

So a lot to consider. But longer time for before we hear news probably means a larger section of wall is being built. 🙂

Trump is smart: He calls out the “forced” recession. If that does not work, then he blames Fed Chair Powell, who has slowed the American boom.

Trump wins either way. Powell being called out is appropriate.

They take your jobs away and ship your factories overseas, telling us we are a service economy.
(Than they try to win votes by complaining that all we have are McJobs.)
Now they bring in illegals by the millions to take away your McJobs and your vote.

If they ever get what they want, the world will collapse because Americans won’t have any money to buy the world’s things. But they won’t care, because they will have made themselves rich. And they will have ripped away EVERYBODY’s freedom. Rejoicing that they have enslaved the world, making themselves our slave masters.

That is why they refuse to give up. That is why they refuse to see that they can make more money Making America Great Again, than they ever could by taking America down.

They think they deserve to have our wealth and that they deserve to be our slave masters. They think that we deserve nothing but abject slavery. And they will do whatever it takes to make that happen.

They didn’t ‘make a mistake’, any more than RepubliCONS are “the party of stupid”; its INTENTIONAL.

Fed was trying to blunt the effects of what,PDJT is doing, but as SD has pointed out, with MAGANOMICS, the effect the Fed can have in the economy is blunted. Much less effect with the big divide between Main Street and Wall Street. As the gap closes, the Feds influence will return.
Yes, they have put on brakes, but they are on a train going full steam ahead, so again limited effect.
But it isn’t, and wasn’t a mistake. It was INTENTIONAL. Bastids! Spit!

Some time in the high inflation 70’s they decided to keep a few things out of the inflation statistics. So food and gas prices can climb up and down Mt. McKinley and they don’t have to report inflation or deflation.

Though I sure don’t see food prices ever going down, and there seems to be a one way ratchet on the bottom of gas prices.

And define what a globalist is:
            – someone who values profit over security of the nation
            – someone avoiding checks and balances of market forces by abusing political power to take advantage over the differences in values of currency/labor/laws in different nations.
            – use anything to decrease the ability of a nation to compete: ecology/green/carbon tax, safety laws, quality rules, hiring standards to increase the overhead of American businesses so that their foreign owned businesses can make more profit and sell back to the U.S. consumer market.
            – Globalists are shrewd economists who use crazy lazy leftist who want everything easy and free to create laws which increase the expense of american businesses so they can’t compete in the international market against the globalist owned foreign businesses, the retain access to sell to the wealthiest consumer base: The American market.

When entered I noticed I was almost the only Anglo there and no one literally no one spoke English. I see these elderly Chinese, Hispanic, African, Pakistanis, Indians all needing interpreters to sign up. I’m thinking how the hell did these non English speaking elderly hold jobs to contribute to SS and become eligible to qualify for benefits? Well none of them paid a dime in SS taxes but are eligible under our current laws. I assume they get Medicare also. That’s another reason SS is bankrupt! Made me angry as all hell that I worked and paid all those years and some elderly immigrant comes to this country and immediately heads to the SS office and gets the same as me! We’re being also ripped off by our own Congress! End of venting!

Conservative it’s more than “interesting” it’s scary as hell!

FTA “The 2-1 opinion from the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is a victory for so-called “faithless electors,” those who cast an Electoral College vote for a presidential candidate that is not the candidate chosen by a majority of voters in their state…“This is an incredibly thoughtful decision that could advance substantially our campaign to reform the Electoral College,” said Lawrence Lessig, a Harvard Law professor and lawyer for the electors…The 10th Circuit returned the case to federal district court for further consideration. But Lessig plans to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to hear the case and issue an opinion by the summer of 2020, before the next presidential election.”

If this is upheld why vote? If Pennsylvania’s popular vote goes for Trump but the electors have been selected by Soros and his ilk want Biden they are free to do so according to this ruling! Same for Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin or any swing state! Stupid ruling and our Founders weren’t as stupid as those 10th Circuit Judges! I’m not an attorney or any Constitutional scholar but this just doesn’t make sense to me!!!

The way it was constitutionally designed to work is the public elects their state senators and reps, and the state congress selects the Electors of the Electoral College. That was a very important job that required diligence at the local state and federal levels. The electors were like-minded voters who had the freedom to vote, but you made damn sure they vote how you want before you select them.

Now it’s all screwy with indexing to the popular vote at the state level, bound electors, etc. National Vote Indexing takes the rights away from even the state congress, such that majority rule will be the lay of the land.

        • Those eco-bulbs are for general room illumination levels, Grandma. They are not intended for reading the way the old floor lamps were. Reading is one of the chief pleasures in life! No need to give it up. Try a Kindle, a Nook or an app on the computer you already have instead. You can test the many different devices available at Best Buy, Target etc. EReaders cost as little as $60. They come in different sizes too.

I’ve got very old eyes (lifetime nearsighted), and it’s so much easier to read now that the light glows softly behind the text, I control the contrast intensity, and I can resize it with two fingers for best viewing. The few times I can’t get an eBook version of a book, magazine or newspaper, I use portable battery-powered clip-on lights that have a dimmer. However, you would be amazed how many eBooks are available for free from the Public Library. I’m not as helpful when kids come around for paper drives any more, but life is all about never-ending choices.

When deciding what eco bulb in your light socket, always remember to use the real power rating on the bulb. You can put a very bright eco bulb in a socket limited to 25W. The replacement bulbs for 60W in my cupboard claim they only use 5W. That is a lot lower than my sockets that are only limited to 40W or 25W for power or heat purposes.

Unfortunately, the manufacturers have not caught on yet. After all, just scale up those LEDs, and you could make a 180W brightness bulb that only uses 15W.

One word of advice. If you want bright blue light like from fluorescents, choose ‘high temperature’ bulbs, 4000K or higher. And if you want warm yellow like the old incandescents, choose ‘low temperature’ bulbs, 3000K or lower.

US sanctions Chinese father and son fentanyl kingpins

        Thursday, August 22, 2019

The U.S. Treasury imposed sanctions on three Chinese men accused of illegally trafficking fentanyl, acting three weeks after President Donald Trump accused Beijing of reneging on pledges to stem a flood of the highly addictive synthetic opioid into the United States, Reuters reports.

The trio included a father and son indicted in Ohio last year on charges of producing and smuggling fentanyl and fentanyl-related substances.

The third man was indicted on similar charges in Mississippi in 2017.

The trafficking operations the three allegedly run “are directly contributing to the crisis of opioid addiction, overdoses, and death in the United States,” Under Secretary of the Treasury Sigal Mandelker charged in a statement.

The United States had pressed China to arrest Fujing Zheng and his father, Guanghua Zheng, and Xiaobing Yan since their indictments.

          Wednesday, August 21, 2019
University of Kansas Researcher Indicted for Fraud for Failing to Disclose Conflict of Interest with Chinese University

A researcher at the University of Kansas (KU) was indicted today on federal charges of hiding the fact he was working full time for a Chinese university while doing research at KU funded by the U.S. government.

Feng “Franklin” Tao, 47, of Lawrence, Kansas, an associate professor at KU’s Center for Environmentally Beneficial Catalysis (CEBC), is charged with one count of wire fraud and three counts of program fraud. He was employed since August 2014 by the CEBC, whose mission is to conduct research on sustainable technology to conserve natural resources and energy.

“Tao is alleged to have defrauded the U.S. government by unlawfully receiving federal grant money at the same time that he was employed and paid by a Chinese research university — a fact that he hid from his university and federal agencies,” said Assistant Attorney General Demers for National Security. “Any potential conflicts of commitment by a researcher must be disclosed as required by law and university policies. The Department will continue to pursue any unlawful failure to do so…..”

          • CountryDoc says:

The assumption you make is that not being inflammatory is a higher goal. Sometimes, when disrupting a deeply entrenched process needs to be accomplished, you want what you are doing to be noticed. Usually when the president says something like this that is not “presidential” (meaning not being a nice, polite, doormat for the uniparty like the previous presidents since 1989), the attention given the “unpresidential comment” brings to light something very important for the voting public to notice.

Until this week, very few people could name the leadership of Denmark, or the relationship between the and Greenland, or the military importance of Greenland, or that we had a strategic Air Force base in Greenland, or that it was in a very strategic place in protecting this all of this country from nuclear attack from Russia.

Now, the whole world is becoming educated on the political stance of the leadership of Denmark. He is strategically motivating the country to educate itself on many topics, regardless of where they stand. That is ending the anesthetizing of the world that is required while the Boa Constrictor of the Leftists/Deep State/Uniparty/globalists slowly encircles and consumes the rest of the world.

In Denmark, the whole population, already excited about a visit from the Donald, is now asking “What would PDJT have against our nice leader?”. More sunlight.

Greenland is asking, “what would it mean for us to be part of the U.S.?”

Those of you who have heard my musings the last few weeks have heard my impatience about how long to we wait before we “act” before this country reaches the point of know return.

We have a republic full of corruption, but we still have a republic. The historical prognosis of salvaged republics or democracies from corruption is poor.

The solution, however, is not the 2nd amendment — that is a deterrent, a defense, not an offense.

The offense in a republic is consistent with both Jeffererson, Franklin, and if you think about it interwoven in the philosophies of the writings of every founder: Education, wisdom, morality, submission to God, but freedom to work together in humility to understand the universal principles of Truth (whether you believe in God or not).

The remedy is sunlight/not darkness; transparency/not secrecy; submission and humility toward each other and to our maker or to higher principles. Every system of human excellence is cultivated in a family like environment: Families, churches, 12 step goups, fraternities/sorrorities, military patrols, sports/olympic teams.

Our Lion/POTUS is a warrior, but his chief offensive weapons are sunlight, truth, exposure, uncovering secrets, and knowledge.

To add to that, the Danes were trying to outdo each other writing snarky/sarcastic comments about POTUS on social media. The PM was trying to score some brownie points with a few jabs of her own, IMO, so the PM’s face plant was well deserved short term karma live and in color for me.

I would say these EU countries practice state capitilism, whereby industry works closely with the government to plan education goals, trade policy, etc. The PM trying to score some cheap points on social media won’t sit well with the industry suits who are going to have to deal with Trump’s finance boys after the fact. Same MO as the car guys and Merkel in Germany. I don’t believe it’s a pretty picture behind the scenes at this juncture.

I spent some time looking at Greenland on GMap and Wiki tonight.
1/3 of the population lives in Nuuk, about 17K people, smaller than the little town I live in.
Even though Greenland’s land area is almost as big as the entire East Coast (include PA, MS, TN…) it looks like none of the inhabitants actually live on the mainland of the island. They all live on islands just off the coast, mostly in the SW, where it gets above freezing for 2-1/2 mo per year.

Then, far N on the West, you have Thule Air Force Base / Space Command Center w/ about 1000 servicemen. That is about 2% of the population, and 10% of the not-eskimo population.

Yeah, price just went down. We want a better deal!!!

BTW, too cold there for trees to grow. Planted trees usually die within a year or two. Ships can only get to Thule AFB during July, when the sea ice is thin enough to break through…

    Dear AG William Barr,

Decency, security and liberty alike demand that government officials shall be subjected to the same rules of conduct that are commands to the citizen. In a government of laws, existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. Our Government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the Government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.

    https://amgreatness.com/2019/08/11/the-tyranny-of-myopia/

“Progress on the border wall has been underwhelming, and the borders are as porous as ever. This is not only disgraceful, it is ludicrous, in the precise and literal sense that it is laughable and indicates that we are becoming an unserious country. And as much as I am inspired by an event such as this, which shows that the civic heart of American patriotism is still beating, and by private citizens with private money coming together to attempt to build a wall, there are limits to what we can expect to achieve without real changes in the way our government works.”

This is worth reading as an indictment of the Deep State and for the realization that winning elections in a populist revival is exciting but meaningless if we cannot bring accountability and justice to those destroying our country from within.

As a reminder, thie is what the President ORDERED for immediate release back on
    Sept. 17, 2018

    President Trump Orders Extensive Declassification

September 17, 2018 by Jeff Carlson, CFA

President Trump issued an order on Sept. 17 for the IMMEDIATE declassification of three series of documents related to the Russia investigation and the spying on his presidential campaign.

The first set of documents relates to the FISA spy warrant application on campaign adviser Carter Page, specifically pages 10–12 and 17–34 of the June 2017 Page FISA renewal.

The second set of documents relates to the series of FBI interviews with former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr.

The third set of documents encompasses all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with the Page FISA applications.

In addition to the declassification of the documents, Trump has also directed the Department of Justice and the FBI to publicly release all text messages relating to the Russia investigation of former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, the lead FBI agent on the Russia investigation Peter Strzok, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, and Ohr. The released texts are to be fully unredacted.

The President IMO has been snookered.

PT is masterful at economics and business but IMO gets an F at managing the DOJ and FBI.

IMO it is beyond time to start to pushing back and ensuring our voice is being heard.

IMO, Declass is nothing but BS. Declass is a fraud on the American people. IMO we MUST start demanding declass at all upcoming PT’s rallies.
