STUNNING FACTS ENUMERATED BY BANK OF AMERICA CEO

    CTH and Sundance correct.

““Look, when the yield curve moved around the pundit-ocracy got going, saying, ‘Here, this means a recessions coming,’” Moynihan told CNBC.”

“However, the bank boss said this time the recessionary gauge may be influenced by a global market swirling in some $15 trillion in negative interest rates.” [CEO Moynihan]

““But if you actually think about it, there could be two reasons that the yield curve is moving around and you’re seeing that debate take hold,” he said.

“Which in part is the flight to quality. 80 – 90% of all the yield in the world is available in the United States. So, the money comes flying here because you’re gonna give your money to someone — a thousand dollars — and they give you back less in 10 years ? Or you’re gonna give your money to someone — a thousand dollars — and they give you back more in 10 years?. And so, that’s why there’s a great debate about that,” the Bank of America CEO said.

Moynihan said the debate about the U.S. economy’s trajectory comes down to the consumer.

“And so in our customer base through this time Aug. 15 year to date, you’ve seen the amount spent by American consumers at Bank of America: $2 trillion,” he said.

“It’s up 5.9% from last year through the same period of time. So, in [2017-18] you’re up about 8.5% and 2018-19 up 5.9%. So, think about that as $120 billion more spending by our consumers this year versus last year, which means the U.S. consumer continues to spend and that will keep the U.S. economy in good shape,” Moynihan explained.”

Capital flight from train wreck countries with NEGATIVE interest rates keeps the juggling act here going longer, but it along with artificially low interest rates also encourages more easy money malinvestment, leveraging, massively inflated asset values (homes, stocks, etc.) unjustified by fundamentals, and MORE government DEBT-based spending (deficits).

BTW, IMO, the US is a long way from a crack-up boom, but the house of cards is being piled up worldwide increasingly rapidly. Also, I think that the eventual effects will be deflationary (massive bankruptcies so large and widespread that they can’t be bailed out without destroying currencies, so they won’t be) rather than hyperinflationary, at least in the US. Those bankruptcies have been what has been NEEDED by the financial system all along, but they have been prevented by bailouts and central bank actions.

I think current inflation is closer to zero if not deflationary in the EU.. And whereas the historical inflation number the Federal Reserve used as a bogey has been 2% it should be zero in Europe and 0-1% The USA. This is because technology has improved production and reduced inflation

If you call the yield curve flat which I think is more accurate than inverted, what we are seeing is not a change in slope (or inversion) but a movement of the line itself that measure the time value of money (interest rates) to a new intangible rate of perhaps 1% on the 30 year. The location of the curve is moving not a change in the the steepness..

In other words the metrics are changing. This is why it was so wrong of Powell to raise rates just because he could. He was loading up for expected inflation or a a-systematic selloff in equities. This isn’t his job!

I also believe the Denmark & Iceland tweets were a shot across the bow of all stakeholders, including China, that the US is watching and concerned.

By the way for all the Russia-Russia fools out there. If China were to make and achieve a serious play for a controlling interest of Iceland, Iceland is a major point in the net used to monitor the movement of Russian Northern Fleet Submarines and Surface Activity. So, all those “friends” of China making light of this episode need to consider they may be helping Russia.

For the green weenies out there, just think of a hungry China turned loose on the grand bank fishing grounds, on top of the mining interests. We all know that China is such a good steward of Mother Earth. //sarc

This should shock every USA citizen! The USA pay the most at just shy of 3.5% (lowered since DJT became president). Why are we paying the most? It’s irresponsible we pay so much to NATO.Germany, a rich country, pays in 2019, 1.36%? Why did President Obama not take this on? Instead he loved Chancellor Merkel! What? Ex president Obama (whom I voted for twice before Waking Up) laments President Donald Trump. He should lament himself! I much prefer President Trump to any Democrat that wants the USA to die under globalism.

PS: if you can’t read the graft above, pull it off into a jpeg and enlarge it. It’s frigging amazing how the USA is carrying the weight of the world. President Trump is spot on!

Over human history, in the aftermath of a war “to the victor goes the spoils”. It’s a step up from that, to simply leave the loser to rebuild in peace…another step up, for the victor to help the loser rebuild and offer resources to assist their desperate war-torn population in the immediate aftermath…another step up, for the victor to do all that and also offer favorable trade terms and other ongoing financial and military assistance to get the loser back to their standing prior to the beginning of the war. The US did all this for the Axis Powers after World War II was over, AND THEN CONTINUED to carry them for the next SEVENTY years at considerable cost to the citizens of the USA. Has there ever been a similar scenario in all of human history?

FTA – President Trump is broadening the effect of the presidency by taking on issues no previous leader was willing to address. First, he alerted us to a media no longer impartial but zealously preoccupied in manufacturing fake news on behalf of a radical-left wing agenda.

He then exposed us to the dangerous reality of a vast government bureaucracy, akin to a shadow government, operating on behalf of its own interests and concerns and not those of the American people. The deep state, operating confidently and without checks and balances, ignores representatives elected by the people while pursuing a globalist and self-serving agenda.

Now Trump is challenging the unofficial rule that people dare not criticize those whom the liberal community considers icons, personalities who may never be questioned or probed due to their liberal credentials.

This is -NOT- long-term good. All it does is FURTHER INFLATE assets WAY BEYOND their true market value because the money has no other place to go! It also allows rates here to go to zero which is ALSO not good as it allows further and even more MASSIVE deficits, QE, and eventually, bailouts.

Kyle Bass says US interest rates will follow the rest of the world to zero — ‘This is insane’
    20 Aug 2019

    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-08-21/kyle-bass-summarizes-state-world-insane

Despite interest rates having bounced (albeit very modestly) in the last few days, prompting shrieks of “the lows for yields are in” once again, and hyped-up belief that ‘There Is No Alternative’ to dumping bonds and buying stocks at record highs, Hayman Capital fund manager Kyle Bass has a different view suggesting that a global re-awakening of easier-and-easier monetary policy will drive US rates to zero (and potentially beyond).

“This is insane. The Japanese are going to keep going. The Chinese print money like it’s a national pastime today. Europe is going to restart QE.”

During an interview with CNBC, Bass exclaimed:

“We’re the only country that has an integer in front of our bond yields,”

“We have 90% of the world’s investment-grade debt. We actually have rule of law and we have a decent economy. All the money is going to come here.”

“I think the assault weapons ban is timely now, especially in view of the shooting in El Paso and Dayton,” King said, according to nydailynews.com. “It might give cover to some other Republicans, it might give incentive to Democrats.”

“These weapons belong on the battlefield, not in our homes, schools, houses of worship or workplaces,” Cicilline said, according to nydailnews.com. “I’m pleased that Congressman King has joined this effort. I sincerely hope that more of my Republican colleagues will put their service to our country and the safety of their constituents ahead of their need to raise campaign money from the gun lobby.”

    Boots’ Note:
“…these weapons belong on the battlefield, not in our homes….” Really? That’s not what the Minutemen would think if they were living here today. SCOTUS ruled weapons protected by 2A are those in ‘common use’. And IIRC, in another case decades ago SCOTUS ruled weapons protected by 2A are those in common use by the military.

Either way, Charleton Heston’s refrain is getting closer to reality every passing day in this land of nuts and nitwits.

“At issue in the Supreme Court case in which Senator Whitehouse submitted the brief (NY State Rifle & Pistol Assoc. v. City of New York (18-280)) is whether New York City’s ban on transporting a licensed, locked and unloaded handgun to a home or shooting range outside city limits is consistent with the Second Amendment, the commerce clause and the constitutional right to travel.”

Re: U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse Unauthorized Practice of Law Complaint

      Dear Chair Madonna:

Judicial Watch files this unauthorized practice of law complaint against Rhode Island bar member U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse for filing a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of four clients while maintaining inactive status. In addition, the brief Senator Whitehouse filed was unbecoming of the legal profession as it is nothing more than an attack on the federal judiciary and an open threat to the U.S. Supreme Court.

According to the Rhode Island Judiciary website, Senator Whitehouse maintains inactive status. As an inactive member of the Rhode Island bar, Senator Whitehouse cannot practice law in Rhode Island. However, on August 12, 2019, Senator Whitehouse did just that. He filed an amicus curiae brief with the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of Senators Mazie Hirono, Richard Blumenthal, Richard Durbin, and Kirsten Gillibrand. The filing of a brief – let alone all that is required to file a brief – on behalf of clients is indisputably the practice of law.

To be clear, Senator Whitehouse may not have spoken to his clients, researched the law, or written the brief in Rhode Island. However, he provided a Providence, Rhode Island address to the Rhode Island Judiciary. In addition, there is no dispute that Senator Whitehouse is a Rhode Island resident and spends a substantial amount of his time in Rhode Island. If Senator Whitehouse is practicing law in another jurisdiction, it is merely incidental or temporary. Under the rules, Senator Whitehouse was practicing law in Rhode Island.

In addition, to Judicial Watch’s knowledge, Senator Whitehouse is not authorized to practice law in another jurisdiction. Senator Whitehouse lists a Washington, D.C. address on the brief; yet, according to the District of Columbia Bar website, Senator Whitehouse is not a member of the DC Bar. Therefore, if Senator Whitehouse claims he was not practicing law in Rhode Island but in Washington, D.C., he violated the “Unauthorized Practice of Law” rule of D.C.”

Still waiting to see who that halfwit NBC reporter was who kept yelling out Democrat talking points at today’s impromptu Marine One press briefing as the president left for his Veterans Convention speech. Whoever it was, he should be banned from the White House for a few weeks, months, or years.

DOES IT FEEL LIKE FEAR IS IN THE AIR?

Most mornings I meet with a few friends at our local Starbucks. We talk about life, family, politics, and country. The other day one of them asked, “Does it feel like fear is in the air?” For the next two hours, we kicked around our thoughts on homegrown terrorists, mass shooters, the crisis in the Middle East, talk of an imminent threat from Iran, lying legislators, stresses at work, and family tensions. All of these, and more are real concerns that increase one’s anxiety for family and country, but the truth is there have always been homegrown terrorists, mass shooters, a crisis in the Middle East, lying legislators, stresses at work, and so on.

There was one “fear” that occupied us most: legislators who promote fear by infringing on the rights of its citizenry, stomping on those “self-evident” truths “that all men are Created Equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Infringement is nothing new, but does it seem like today’s infringements by our elected leaders are more in-your-face, we-don’t-care-what-you-think-we’re-going-to-do-it-anyways, transgressions? Is fear being wielded more and more as a weapon against the citizenry these congressional leaders have been entrusted? Has fear become a bully-stick, a shaming iron to keep the citizenry in line and enslaved to its leaders’ whims?

    FEAR IS GRIPPING.

Throughout history, fear has been used to manipulate people and sway opinion. In 1975, former President Richard M. Nixon said, “People react to fear, not love; they don’t teach that in Sunday school, but it’s true.” I have a sneaky suspicion Nixon did not attend Sunday School. But there is some truth to his words: People do react to fear and politicians are masters at harnessing that fear, using it against their constituents to further political agendas and ideologies. It appears fear is the banner today’s politicians, news media, and activist groups are happy to carry into the fray. Fear is manipulative. Fear is persuasive. Fear is crippling. Fear is controlling. Fear is paralyzing. Fear does not promote life, liberty, or happiness. Generally fear starts small, then before we know it, it takes over and spreads like cancer.

    WHEN FEAR GRIPS US.

Love is a universal language that changes lives and sets people free. Was Nixon right when he said people don’t react to love? For those of us who hold to Bible tenants we believe the Scriptures teach God is the very essence of love. The Apostle John writes: “Let us [unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves [others] is born of God and knows God [through personal experience]. The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for GOD IS LOVE. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature]” [1 John 4:8-9 (AMP)].

As a Christ-follower, I can honestly attest to the fact of a loving God. I get it. Not everyone believes in Jesus Christ. There was a time when I didn’t believe. Then, at a time when fear was crippling, controlling, and paralyzing I discovered, “The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, freedom]” [2 Corinthians 3:17 (AMP)]. While fear held me in bondage, Christ, through His love, unshackled my chains and set me free.

I wouldn’t be honest if I said that fear doesn’t come my way. It does. But when fear tries to grab hold I no longer speak from fear, I speak to fear. The Apostle Paul put it like this: “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].” [2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)]

The next time fear comes knocking, there are words of encouragement that if taken to heart, can change one’s outlook on life. There is a place we can go to find light in the dark and strength when we feel depleted. Jesus promises, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me will not stumble around in the darkness but will have the Light which is life” [John 8:12 (AMP)].

Next time you find yourself in the depths of the dark or need direction, remember there is a Light. There is a hope. There is shelter. There is a protector. There is Christ, the Light of the World, who is ready to guide us. So, be encouraged with these words:

“(Since) the Lord is my light in the midst of darkness and my salvation in the times of trouble — whom shall I fear? (Since) the Lord surrounds me with a fortress of protection — whom shall I dread?… Wait for and confidently expect the Lord! BE STRONG! BE COURAGEOUS! TAKE HEART! DON’T QUIT! Again I say: WAIT FOR and CONFIDENTLY EXPECT THE LORD!” [Psalm 27:1,14 (MSG)]

“Do not let your heart be troubled (fearful, afraid, distressed, agitated, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me (Jesus Christ)… Peace I leave with you; My[perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] ” [John 14:1, 27 (AMP)]

“By ‘the Lord’ what I mean is the Spirit, and in any heart where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, freedom]” [2 Corinthians 3:17 (Voice)].

    BE EXTREME!
