Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

After 40 plus years my retirement from teaching felt more like an escape. We fought long and hard against a progressive invasion destroyed our high standards and reduced teaching to an onerous chore that, increasingly, was overseen by Education majors who knew little about our disciplines and were so poorly educated that they had trouble working with simple theories. We held our own against the ignorant hoard of pretend administrators for as long as we would but when it came time for us to retire, there was nobody following behind who could take our place. I haven’t looked back—no once—since I left.

I’m already starting to plan curriculums for my two (and probably more.) The one-year-old is already showing interest in ABCs, I’m planning on buying a piece of posterboard and stencils and making a homemade ABCs chart. Or just doing blockprint myself, I’m pretty good at it. Addition/subtraction and multiplication tables come next.

I see a lot of Melissa & Doug on there, we had several of those as kids. I’d love to get some of these for my one-year-old – from what I can gather he’s actually got some of the equivalent skills of a three-year-old – but I’m terrified to even look at the prices. xD

Hold your nose and buy! You can probably re-sell them later if you decide to, for half-price… and there is no price that can match the fun you all will have. (I suspect that my maternal grandparents paid for our goodies way back when, but those toys are my earliest memories, very good ones too)

    That Blessed Hope

For believers in Christ it would be the most blessed of all if this year turns out to be the year of our Lord’s coming for His own. How long the present dispensation of grace will be prolonged we do not, and cannot, know. Even St. Paul, who was commissioned to make known the glorious truth of the rapture of the Church, did not know. He never dreamed that God would linger in mercy for more than 1900 years, for in I Thes. 4:16-18 he says:

“We who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall be caught up…”

Thus instructed Bible-believers in every generation since his day have rightly been on the alert for their Lord to come for them, for they know that “the days are evil” and every hour is an hour of grace.

To the Philippians the Apostle wrote: “We look for the Savior,” to the Thessalonians: “[Ye]… wait for His [God’s] Son from heaven,” and to Titus he says that we should be “looking for that blessed hope, and the appearing in glory of …our Savior, Jesus Christ” (Phil. 3:20; I Thes. 1:9,10; Tit. 2:11-13).

With the Lord’s coming and the close of “the dispensation of the grace of God” so much nearer than it was in Paul’s day, we say to the unsaved: “Receive not the grace of God in vain…. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold nowis the day of salvation” (II Cor. 6: 1,2).

And to the saved we say: “Buy up the time,” take advantage of every opportunity to win the lost to Christ, for “the days are evil” (Eph. 5:16) and the day of grace may soon be brought to a close.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

    1 Thessalonians 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

While we expect excellence when virtuosos make recordings, sometimes the finished work so so exceptional that it carries it’s special status well beyond it’s years in the market. “Sometime Ago” is one of those recordings. In case you’re interested in such things, Barrueco is playing a guitar made by the late Robert Ruck, distinguishable by it’s timeless classical guitar sound.

    From wiseGEEK:
How Did Beethoven Write Music after He Went Deaf?

After going deaf, composer Ludwig van Beethoven would press a stick in his mouth against a piano to discern sounds.

Great artists don’t let adversity get in their way. Take Ludwig van Beethoven, the iconic German composer who started going deaf in his mid-20s and had lost virtually all hearing by his mid-40s. While one would think that anyone who wants to write music — especially at Beethoven’s level —
would need to hear what he is playing, that didn’t stop Beethoven. According to his housekeepers, the composer would hold a pencil in his mouth while he sat at the piano to compose and touch the end of it to the soundboard, letting him feel the vibrations and keep notating. The method
apparently worked, as Beethoven continued composing at a fervid rate, penning “Moonlight Sonata,” Fidelio –his only opera — and several symphonies without being able to hear. Of course, this later period wasn’t all success, as Beethoven also tried banging as loudly as possible on his
piano to hear his music, destroying the instrument in the process.

ARE you a ‘lifelong, registered Democrat’, who now supports PDJT?
Are you a, ‘stealth’ DJT supporter, who NEVER wears a MAGA hat, and never posts anything about your support, on Sicial media?

Are you concerned about ballot fraud, in the 2020 election? Would youblike to DO something about it?

    Call it “Operation Veritas, 2.0”

Step# 1; go to spy headquarters, or inline, and purchase a ‘bodycam’ a small digital video recorder, disguise as pen in shirt pocket, or jewelry.

Then go to local Dem party headquarters, tell them you are, really concerned about DJT winning in 2020, and want to do everything you can to defeat him. Perhaps go on lefty sights for a few days, read comments in order to get the ‘orangeman bad’ lingo down pat.

You get the idea. Be patient, but keep agitating you wish you could do MORE.
See if you can work your way into any illicit ballot fraud operations, and video tape it.

If we had 100 such people, across the country, we could expose what we, what EVERYONE knows has been going on for a long time. And, that it is,SYSTEMIC, and not a ‘few bad actors’.

Going into nursing homes, and getting mentally ‘feeble’ registered to vote. Ballot stuffing, ballot harvesting, there are many different aspects to the operation.

Election fraud is real and I’ve witnessed it firsthand while volunteering for Poll Watcher duty in Sheila Jackson Lee’s district in Houston for the 2010 midterms. She’s the Democrat congressman that has been known to show up to her own district polling stations on election day glad handing potential voters. The day my wife and I were poll watchers more voters were turned away for not being at the right precinct or not registered than actually voted that day. Voters were prevented from voting at the wrong precinct or for not being registered because we were watching. Thanks to https://truethevote.org
Did you know that the incumbent owns the polling stations and the pays the staff? No conflict of interest there. The fraud is worse today and is in full force now. The https://truethevote.org organization is doing a good job to expose and hopefully stop some of the fraud and they could use our help.
Catherine Engelbrecht is the lady who started True The Vote and ended up a target of Obama’s IRS. She sued and won though the damage (2012) was already done.
Election fraud is very real and the reality is that it cannot be stopped unless we expose it ourselves and even then it may not be enough to stop the communist conquest of the USA.

Agree its real, there are numerous different ways it can be done. And yes, one is ‘messing’ with registrations. I was a volonteer poll worker one year, at the polling station nearest a university. All the students of one party, were not registered, although they insisted they had registered; it was part of the packet of papers they got, when they signed up at their dorm.
Students from the,OTHER party, all were registered.
I got in an argument, and left before I did something I wouldn’t regret, but my wallet would.
Anyway, it definetly occurs, we all KNOW it occurs, and we know when.

Its like a gang that comes back every two years, and robs the same bank, at the same time and on the same day.
WHY is it,so hard to CATCH them?
Because we have relied on the, cops (Republicans) to catch them, and the ‘cops’are IN on it.
I say get it on video. I don’t trust elected officials or career buerocrats to do anything about exposing its widespread nature.

I think they buy into the notion that exposing it would erode confidence in our elections, when they want to instill confidence.
They don’t realise they are living a fantasy, Hillary and company already destroyed confidence in the, system, only exposure will restore it.
          Its DOJ/FBI, all over again.

    To Ponder

Let me ponder on God’s miraculous help to the repentant Israelites (Judges 11):

    1. How, in repentance, they said to God: ‘Do unto us as whatsoever seemeth good to Thee; deliver us only . . .’ (Judges 10).

    2. How the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jepthah, and he smote the Ammonites and delivered Israel.

    3. How today the repentance of men leads to peace with God and brings forth God’s help to the fallen.

    SIGNS OF THE NEW BIRTH

“Ye must be born again.” John iii. 7

The answer to the question “How can a man be born when he is old?” is – When he is old enough to die – to die right out to his “rag rights,” to his virtues, to his religion, to everything, and to receive into himself the life which never was there before. The new life manifests itself in conscious repentance and unconscious holiness.

“As many as received Him.” (John i. 12) Is my knowledge of Jesus born of internal spiritual perception, or is it only what I have learned by listening to others? Have I something in my life that connects me with the Lord Jesus as my personal Saviour? All spiritual history must have a personal knowledge for its bedrock. To be born again means that I see Jesus.

“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John iii. 3) Do I seek for signs of the Kingdom, or do I perceive God’s rule? The new birth gives a new power of vision whereby I begin to discern God’s rule. His rule was there all the time, but true to His nature; now that I have received His nature I can see His rule.

“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin.” (1 John iii. 9) Do I seek to stop sinning or have I stopped sinning? To be born of God means that I have the supernatural power of God to stop sinning. In the Bible it is never – Should a Christian sin? The Bible puts it emphatically – A Christian should not sin. The effective working of the new birth life in us is that we do not commit sin, not merely that we have the power not to sin, but that we have stopped sinning. 1 John iii. 9 does not mean that we cannot sin; it means that if we obey the life of God in us, we need not sin.

Deinstitutionalization is the Cause of Mass Shootings
