We’re winning like crazy. And it’s driving them nuts.

They’ve been trying to separate Trump supporters from the President from Day 1 and it isn’t going to happen, regardless of how many false headlines they run.

The “send her back” chant was understandable, but also understandably uncomfortable with many (especially legal immigrants). The Monday morning quarterbacking is pointless. President handled this the best he could. But nothing changes. The Dems are on the ropes. And we have the President’s back.

    • The left had become adept at using persons of color and the threat of the race card to advance their anti-American agenda (See Barack Hussein 0bama), but President Trump doesn’t care about anyone’s race and is forcing them to actually defend their true beliefs….and it ain’t pretty, they know it and are freaking out about it.

      I’m enjoying this immensely.

If he had embraced the chant, then he would have been censored or impeached. He is not responsible for what the crowd at his rally feels about this traitor Omar! This too will fade off the radar. Media just trying to make this front and center instead of what has surfaced about Omar and her lies, marriage, etc.

I have to disagree a bit with you. I am a legal immigrant, the chant of send her does not bother me one bit. In fact I agree. She does not respect the laws of this country and she is not willing to engage in serious civil discourse to bring about change. She just disparages all America stands for. I say send her back is a valid expression. Gratitude is an attitude.

        • This is for all you legal immigrants. I’m glad you’re here. You probably didn’t have to learn certain core legal principles in order to pass the test. HOWEVER…

You do have to abide people putting the country down. It’s their right to do within the First Amendment. You can (verbally and in writing) object to them doing it. That’s your right too, under the same amendment.

Back in the 1960s, the exact same “love it our leave it” rhetoric was thrown at military veterans who (having already put their bodies on the line in combat) criticized continuing the pointless loss of lives in Vietnam. It was wrong to say that then, and it is wrong now. We still have problems in this nation, and if we aren’t allowed to express freely our opinions on which ones are most important to solve, then we can’t solve any of them.

We all have the right to express our criticisms about anything the government does in this country, without being threatened with expulsion for unpopular political beliefs. You don’t have to like that, but you DO have to (by law) accept that your political and philosophical opponents have just as much right to complain as you do to express patriotism.

This horror of a human being acted as if 3,000 people dying on 9/11 was nothing! ‘Some people did something’ Omar should be sent to prison for treason before they send her back to that hellhole she came from.

Trump should have said no i don’t want her sent back. She needs to answer for her anti Semitism, tax fraud and illegal marriage.

But the “Send her back” is really a turn off along legal immigrants, independents and moderate voters. And whoever started the “send her back” chat they need to explain it to Americans, so the swing voters could understand it. Just saying.

I think the majority of Americans would agree that if it were possible, an ugly ingrate from the hellholle of all hellholes should be made to go back there and fix it before complaining about the government in this country.
How anyone from Somalia can bitch about America is beyond me, but if she wants to criticize MY choice for president, I want her to demonstrate her superior knowledge of government.

The Democrats are in a bad position because 1) all of their attempts to remove Trump have failed and 2) they don’t have a strong candidate for 2020.

But look back at the 2016 election battleground states. Trump didn’t win by much except in OH. AZ, FL, MI, NC, PA, and WI were uncomfortably close. The closest was MI, Trump 47.5% Clinton 47.5%. We cannot rest on our laurels.

People are weird. People are not always rational. People have varying priorities. Trump has his base, we like his swagger, we love his economy, but some people who would be Trump supporters if he were more (cough) “Presidential” are totally put off by his behavior. We cannot afford to have too many of those people vote for a Democrat. Trump should be attempting to win them over. He can get his point across without feeding the trolls. He should have tweeted specifically about Omar and stated that if she is so unhappy with the US she’s free to return to Somalia because it’s so much better there. It wasn’t good to tell Omar to “go back” (i.e., ejecting her) and it was even worse to tell the other 3 to “go back” since they were born here.

At this point I think Trump really does need someone to filter him. In 2016 we always said “let Trump be Trump” but now the stakes are too great. We have a vested interest now, we have a say. My job, my 401k and other investments, my health care, and so much more are now dependent on him being re-elected.

Yes it’s the outrage du jour but let’s be honest about it, Trump totally caused this one, unnecessarily. I referred to it yesterday as an unforced error. He makes mistakes some times.

This one was a bit costly. It gave the shrieking targets more media coverage. It even caused the House to have an impeachment vote which fortunately didn’t go anywhere but the fact that it was held is bad enough. All unnecessary drama and narrative crafting. Trump should not feed the trolls. He’s in a wonderful position now, he should not shoot himself in the foot.

It hasn’t been costly in the least. It has been a great benefit. It has only been costly if a person wants to allow the MSM to lead him/her around by the nose, and frame his/her perspective around what they have to say about the issue. I don’t do that.

Yes, YOU don’t do that. And I don’t do that either. But there are plenty of voters who do. There are plenty of voters who choose their candidate based on misinfo from MSM, religious affiliation (right, Utah?), sexual preference, skin color, gender, etc. There are plenty of voters who don’t take the time to research issues. There seems to be little or nothing we can do about that. But Trump can draw them in, or at the very least not turn them off by engaging in outrageous behavior. He’s in a good position right now, he should run with it rather than create more drama for himself. This isn’t a TV show, our lives are at stake, our entire country is at stake.

Lurker2: I understand where you are coming from. Unfortunately there are no antibiotics for concern-induced disappointments (a contagious feeling which usually arises when someone is dissatisfied about what others say … or chant in this case). I don’t see why a spontaneous rally chant from the attendants has to be attributed to the speaker. Instead, I choose to focus on what the speaker goals are and try to ascertain his true intentions which, in the case of PDJT leave no doubt in my mind.

I find it hard to believe that any serious voter would decide to support a candidate based on a rally chant and, personally, found nothing wrong with the one being discussed.

If you are so worried about the expected criticism raised by the fake news media or tend to agree with them, that’s your problem, really. PDJT has weathered so many fake or unfair accusations; I’m sure he’ll overcome this one just by being himself.

It’s a PRIVILEGE, & NOT a RIGHT to immigrate here. Citizenship should be EARNED, and NEVER GIVEN away to whoever wants it. Doing so only diminishes it’s worth. Those who don’t earn it, will NEVER truly appreciate it or this country.

And those who break our LAWS to come here, do NOT deserve to be rewarded in any way. They lack a most basic respect for the foundation of this country.

Granted the America of late is a shell of itself– having allowed our Constitution to be trampled on. And the necessary Law & Order that’s meant for framing it, is now scarcely found. But that does NOT mean we embrace it’s abandonment, or throw our doors open. We should never resign this country to the abyss that’s intended for.

Good move by POTUS to disavow the unfortunate chant. Next move by MSM will then be to say Trump dissing his supporters, etc.

Also, in the future, expect plants to try to start similar chants. So, for example, instead of the protester shouting things when POTUS brought up Omar at the rally, that protester might instead try to initiate a damaging chant at the next rally. They did this to the Tea Party at events all the time.

Last night’s event was flawless but for the chant. What’s additionally good about POTUS disavowing the chant is that the message will get out to MAGA Nation to not conduct similar chants in the future. Just not helpful politically.

POTUS’ tweets that started the Squad feud maybe weren’t perfect but they were fine, IMO. Chant was different in that it implied coercion to an uncharged (for now) American citizens. Implications of fascist tactics and discrimination can therefore be imputed, even if a normal person would never think of the chant that way. But, the chant gives a political opening to the opponent that just does not exist if there is no chant. Unforced error by the crowd.

Don’t want POTUS to back off of The Squad at all. He’s doing great and the feud is working brilliantly. We’re just talking about minor modifications in strategy here, particularly from the involved crowds.

Look — the only reason the chant is such a big deal is because the media and the Dems are running on fumes right now. POTUS is crushing them. So the Dems/Media have to take any grain of sand and try to build a mountain out of it.

The goal in political strategy is like boxing — hit your opponent as many times as you can while also protecting yourself from getting hit as much as possible. The fewer chances you give your opponent to attack you, the better your chances of winning.

As I said in an earlier post in the thread, no worries about the chant. Especially after how POTUS dealt with it today. No hand-wringing or Eeyore-ing. Simply focusing on a tighter delivery from both POTUS and MAGA rally crowds moving forward. That’s all it is.

Making these adjustments 16 months before an election means our side will be completely dialed-in on our message long before the Dems even have a nominee. Great. Better to tune things up now rather than later.

Landslide appears to be on. It really does. Can’t wait.

I understand what you’re saying. I look at it more as a “conversation” between POTUS and his supporters. They want him to succeed, he’s just guiding them about how they can best help him do that.

For example, on free speech, imagine that someone at a rally decided they wanted to say something derogatory about the ethnicity of Senator Hirono. That would be free speech, but it would reflect badly on the crowd/person and it would reflect badly on POTUS because he is associated with that crowd. The guilt by association thing.

None of this is fair, by the way. It’s just political gamesmanship. All is fair in love and war, etc.

Many people — most people — dislike Omar and the Squad. We just want to represent that dislike in socially acceptable ways that the press cannot distort to paint us or POTUS as the bad guys.

    The latest on General Flynn:

    Excerpts FTA:

Flynn would continue to cooperate with prosecutors, Powell stressed, but he could not provide the testimony the government sought at the July trial of Flynn Intel Group (FIG) co-founder Bijan Rafiekian, “because it is not true.”

While federal prosecutors are reticent to explain how Flynn went from being a star witness to complicit in the crimes with which they charged Rafiekian, a scouring of the court records reveals the genesis of the falling-out. It also suggests that, in the escalating dispute between the government attorneys and Flynn’s new lawyer, Powell has the better argument.

During the June 27, trial preparation session, Flynn’s attorneys made clear that “Covington had accurate information pre-filing” of the FARA registration statement, and that while there was some false and misleading information in the FARA filings, Flynn “did not intentionally make false statements.” Rather, Flynn’s attorneys stressed, that he “gave the information to his lawyers and figured they would get it right.”
‘You Are Asking My Client to Lie’

At this point, things got tense. Federal prosecutor Brandon Van Grack, who has handled the criminal case against Flynn on the charge of making false statements to the FBI since the case originated under Special Counsel Robert Mueller, countered that Flynn’s agreement with the government “was extensive” and “he was aware of the false statement” in the FARA filing.

“He was part of the discussions,” and the language in the Statement of Offense “is the language your client agreed to,” Van Grack said. Van Grack added that the “General pushed back on some language” in the Statement of Offense, “but not this language.” And Flynn “did not say anything in front of [the judge],” Van Grack added, “If not willfully, why not say something?”
This is the ‘first time your client or counsel has made any statement like what you are saying.’

Powell countered that nothing in the Statement of Offense says “willfully/knowingly re FARA.” In what McKasson called “very heated,” Van Grack barked, “without willfully/knowingly it doesn’t make this an offense,” referring to the FARA false statements. This is the “first time your client or counsel has made any statement like what you are saying.” “I want to be clear,” Van Grack sneered, “You are saying that he did not provide any false/misleading statements to Covington?”

Powell countered, “You are asking my client to lie. Everything I have seen is consistent—if you have seen something, show us.” Van Grack retorted, “No one is asking your client to lie. Be careful about what you say.”

For me, the chant last night was not literal but symbolic of how we think and feel about those who continue to trash our country, especially those who are lucky enough to immigrate here. Everyone knows that we don’t deport American-born citizens for disagreements about policy and politics. I am not sure that I could say that about the Left which seeks to utterly destroy their enemies-no good faith relationship with them for certain. Perhaps that is why they are reacting so strongly.

So why doesn’t President Trump clarify and defend his supporters? I’m not crazy at all about how he’s explaining this. This is what I can’t stand — going on the offensive and then conceding a point and lapsing into defense. We have NO REASON to apologize.

His supporters are all patriots and many have served this nation or have lost friends and relatives fighting terrorism. It’s perfectly understandable that they feel this way. She’s defamed our country, lied, openly sympathized with a mortal enemy and almost certainly defrauded immigration authorities. There is no precedent for such words and actions by a congressperson.

In addition, to these unbelievably sickeningly hypocritical reporters, why not ask why they aren’t covering her words and actions and demanding SHE apologize.

We’re in a war or we aren’t. We can’t keep this on-again, off-again nonsense. Of course the rally was going to lead to a chant like that. Anyway, all his comments or his disavowal do is feed the beast. Now they’re coming after him even more. There are multiple and solid reasons to stand up for his supporters and explain the chant. Anyway, the “chant” was mild compared to the inflammatory vitriol and violence-inciting words of the Left.

Now that it’s increasingly clear that she broke the law and committed perjury, will we prosecute and deport? Yeah, sure we will.

Omar REFUSED to denounce the antifa attack on the ICE facility as a terror attack.

Omar declared President Trump a “fascist”.

Someone please explain to me how that could NOT be interpreted by an antifa member as an invitation to attack the newly declared “fascist”. Since, you know, antifa attacks “fascists” and anyone else who disagrees with them, because only a “fascist” would disagree with antifa.

My impression is that Omar knows what she is doing, but believes she has plausible deniability. I hope I am wrong.

The media is busy asking if President Trump would be responsible if anything happens to Omar.

They would NEVER flip that question and hold Omar responsible if anything happens to President Trump.

I don’t think the gentleman said fakebook actually changed votes in 2016. He testified that they “COULD” and that no one would know. He was referring to a push GOTV message sent to millions of people and no one would know it was sent and since the recipients would be demonrat voters it would have an effect. His testimony was to argue for review of the algorithms.

Actually, I think he did. He said it was Google definitely did change at least 2.6 million (his “rock bottom” estimate) votes in 2016 by using various different methods- including answer bots and other methods (like predictive search terms). The Zuckerberg Go vote example was just an example of something Fakebook did and how they tested people and never let them know. He then went on to state that he is convinced all of Silicon valley will use all of this methodology in 2020 because it is untraceable and there is no oversight.

They DID change the result of elections. They didn’t bother too much in 2016 because they were too confidant of Hillary winning. But they realised their mistake and hit 2018 hard and will hit 2020 even harder.

      FTA:

“Filner’s communications director Irene McCormack Jackson was the first to come forward about his behavior in June 2013.

She alleged that in an elevator in March 2013, Filner, who was accompanied by a police officer, put her in a headlock and said, “You know I would like to do with these handcuffs?” On another occasion, McCormack said Filner asked her, “Wouldn’t it be great if you took off your panties and worked without them on?”

McCormack filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the City of San Diego, ultimately winning $250,000 in a 2014 settlement.

Then, on July 11, 2013, three of Filner’s longtime supporters held a press conference to call for his resignation as mayor, based on numerous unspecified but “credible” allegations that he had sexually harassed women. Radio station KPBS-FM said that it had been investigating reports of sexual harassment of female staff members for several months and the complaints included “inappropriate comments, kissing and groping.”

Later that day, Filner issued a video statement apologizing and saying that he was seeking professional help to change his behavior.

San Diego businesswoman Patti Roscoe also alleged the mayor had put her in a “Filner headlock” several times and would try to kiss her. “I turned and he just slobbered down my chin,” Roscoe said.”

FTA – A president has the power to change the news. Most of them are clumsy and only underscore the bad news they want to knock off page one.

But Donald John Trump cut his teeth in New York, which is home to the toughest media in the world. Any man who could knock George Steinbrenner off the front sports pages can handle the wimpy Washington press corps with ease.

And he does. Seth Levy gave a very sane genius explanation of what just transpired.

  45. Regarding the disavowal, Illegals from Central America and Mexico were used to change the demographics of California and have ethnically cleansed California of many of its prior inhabitants, both black and white. Those behind what happened in California have been rolling out the same scam on a wider scale during President Trump’s term. At the same time legal immigration has been corrupted to attract every barracks lawyer from around the world to the US. None of these people share our values. The birthright of our descendants is being robbed from us as we wring our hands.

Those in attendance at President Trump’s rally had every right to chant what they did. How exactly did the Somalian get elected to Congress? How did a Somalian enclave magically arise in Minnesota? IT WAS ENGINEERED. It is not the result of an organic process, but rather of a concerted plan to divide and conquer the US.

To President Trump – the corruption of US immigration policies bears the same relationship to sensible America-positive immigration policies as the Russian hoax does to legitimate law enforcement activities of the DOJ and FBI – they both represent the absolute corruption of and abuse of the trust of the American people by the federal government.

Just remember this, the same people who engineered the Somali enclave in Minnesota, positioned Pakistani intelligence assets in sensitive positions in the US Congress. What exactly did you do President Trump to make sure those who committed this foul act were prosecuted? Nothing!

      • How soon people forget. Obama actually used the census to spread people of color into majority white demographics with a view toward changing election outcomes. If President Trump doesn’t know this, he should!

With that in mind, I consider the Somali enclave the result of illegitimate government action. I don’t consider these people legitimate US citizens, but troublemakers like the anarchists from the early twentieth century. I have absolutely no problem shutting down immigration from where these malcontents come from and sending these fifth columnists back to where they came from.

Further, President Trump should know about all of the law breaking the Somalian engaged in. She should be sent back for that alone! Is she going to get a pass like he has given every other DC insider?
