Note: He was over at CNN earlier spewing the same–dial it back–calm it down–pap. This BS hypocrisy comes from the volcanic potty mouth of potty mouths, who couldn’t last 11 hours in the White House. I wouldn’t invest a dime with Anthony or take his advice, nor would I buy his book.

Anthony makes a false analogy comparing his Italian ancestors to the anti-American Jihad Squad or whoever may sympathize with them as being victims of racist ‘go back’ cat-calls. I am sure his ancestors, like my Italian ancestors, loved their adopted country. They either turned the other cheek or flipped off the offending goon, then carried on, respecting America and making it great. Anthony compares those offending goons with our President– disgrazia!

I immediately turned this show off and went to the Fox business channel where Maria Bartiromo had a great interview with Ken Langone, two of my favorite paisan.

Recently saw him at a restaurant in South Hampton with his family (awesome family place called “La Parmingana”). No one even acknowledged him. He looked like a typical dad on a weekend (tired, un-tucked, oversized tee-shirt, shorts…with the exception he obviously dyes his hair). That being said he remindinfed me of all the guys I never liked just from his appearance. I know, you cant judge a book by its cover BUT I could just tell he was a jerk (how he interacted with kids, wife and staff). I love Trump and if was Sara” Sanders she would have had her meal bought and kudos all around BUT it was “him” (man who did not show u for his sons birth, and texted prayers to him from afar). Never liked him and believe his arrogance in addition to “I am the smartest (and also shortest) person in the room ” will continue to squelch all the good he used to have with PDJT. Scaramucci is not on the Trump Train. He is and has always been about himself.

Goodness. Marco get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?

You can be an authentic American by loving, honoring, defending, and upholding the laws and founding principles of America, no matter where you’re born. Immigrants who embrace the Constitution and being American come legally and assimilate. They would never harm something or someone they love. They’re loyal and grateful for the U.S.’s existence and the opportunities it offers, just like Americans, who are born here, lived here most of their lives, are Christian…or not…blah, blah, blah, should be….Marco. Problems are solved and lives are made better by people holding the same founding principles and the common goal to find real solutions. Multiculturalism, without the above, is conflict.

However, if any person or group, foreign or domestically born, don’t share those basic principles, and believe they have the “right” to destroy anyone or anything in their way, by any means necessary, to advance their agenda of ultimately, establishing their ideological fairy-tale Utopia, just like all the garden-varieties of hell on earth their beliefs and tactics have created, then don’t come here or find another country more amenable to crazy wannabe despots.

Americans are born to foreigners on foreign soil all the time, but they get here as fast as they can. Their color is as red, white and blue as Old Glory. They’re our American siblings, so don’t give me that twisted crap, Marco.

      It’s pretty dang simple.

Being an American is not about birth place or race or skin color…or religion, if they can genuinely respect and abide by the Constitution, our laws, culture and principles and embrace everyone’s freedom of religion. I’m completely equal opportunity here. No matter who the people who hate America and Americans think they are, what they claim, what they look like or who told them that being Satan’s spawn makes them special, they’re not. Father of Lies ring a bell? They just bought the special Lucifer was selling. They have no right to our rights or to overthrow our government. They have no right to impose their pathological will onto us. Let them go find a nice place where they can jump right into oppressing everybody else. They’ll be happier and so will we.

    Observations from a smaller limb.

Tuesday 07/15/19. I posted bond yields from around the globe and stated for the second or third time that the pressure for the FED to cut rates was growing overseas. This is so they can stimulate their faltering economies without the rate gap fostering a full blown run on their financial institutions.

Wednesday, Sundance posted about the IMF report confirming that growing pressure. So let’s take a closer look?

    ZEW: Zentrum fur Europaishe Wirtschaftsforschung.

They do a diffusion based index survey of German and European institutional investors and analysts. Above 0.0 indicates optimism, below indicates pessimism. – 0.1 is bad.

    Europe:
    July: -20.0
    June: – 20.2
    May: -1.6

    German:
    July: -24.5
    June: -21.1
    May:- 2.1

    From the report.
“ In particular the continued negative trend in incoming orders in the German industry is likely to have reinforced the financial markets experts, pessimistic sentiment”

    Link:
    https://www.zew.de/en/presse/pressearchiv/konjunkturerwartungen-verharren-auf-niedrigem-niveau/

I’m calling that a rather pessimistic outlook with full blown panic possibly around the corner. Anyone wonder why the IMF went vocal for a; U.S. FED needs to cut, we blame the U.S. report? Next week we start getting 2nd quarter GDP reports that may not look very good in Europe.

    • Well, obviously it does not cost “$32 trillion” to provide medical care for 329,269,375 people … unless you are a “for profit” company that is massively overcharging, as all of them now do. Hospitals grab the most-expensive ICD-10 codes they can justify. For instance, when I slipped-and-fell and went to an ER and got a couple of IM shots in my butt, the hospital tried to charge for “intravenous therapy.” As I recall, they submitted a bill to my insurance company for about $9,000.00. I called ’em up and said, “that hospital is lying to you.”

That’s why I think that “profit” should be completely removed from the health-care equation. I believe that this is the only way to get the job done. I fully respect that others within this community do not agree with me, and I respect their opinions also.

The patient screaming in agony might get addicted to opioids, if you control the pain, don’t you know. No, you have to get a bottle of vodka in CA and guzzle it, to control pain in CA. If that doesn’t work, get a bullet to bite on.

Opioids are reserved for addicts only. People in agonizing pain are left to fend for themselves.

It’s ridiculous, they sent my very elderly mother home from the hospital with Tylenol, after a bad fall.
The Tylenol itself is more likely to kill you if you take to much than the oxy or whatever is.
In fact, the women who are dying from prescription opioids are actuall dying from the acetaminophen they contain.
I know some people who absolutely require these medications if they are to have any quality of life whatsoever, and our leaders have ‘fixed’ the problem by treating them like criminals.

We have seen problems where I live, because quasi-governmental bodies get involved with the “private” hospital system.
That’s how the workers at St. Clare’s hospital, who I’ve been posting about from time to time, ended up losing their retirements, after a thing called the Berger Commission decided that their hospital should close, and another hospital should take over for it and a second hospital.
Care at the large hospital has not gotten cheaper, and has gotten worse.

If we had a Walmart in Big Medicine, we might see changes that benefit the consumer.
Hospitals and doctors and drug companies cannot get rich selling a product no one can afford to buy.
They can only do that now, because of the government’s intervention.
          They can limit the competition.

Get rid of the Wage Stabilization Act. This is a WWII era policy that allows employers to take compensation / wage dollars and buy health insurance for an employee, and those dollars are pre-tax.

The Wage Stabilization Act was enacted to stop rising wages when the able bodied men were off fighting WWII. Some employers got around the wage freeze by offering a legal wage, plus offering health insurance. This was challenged as illegal, but court actions found it to be legal to offer pre-tax health insurance along with the salary.

This is a vestige of WWII. It was not done as a policy for getting people covered by health insurance. In fact, it does for some but interferes for many others – mainly smaller employers who cannot staff benefits departments and attract insurance companies with big, stable populations of risk.

Stop this pre-tax health insurance deal. One federal policy would correct a lot of the health care problems, including over-spending.
With this third-party system, when you have no idea what you are spending, the health care provider will game the system.

End wage stabilization act, and make each of us go shop for our own plan. And then, allow us to deduct our premiums, and other health care expenses, from our taxable income. A simple line on the 1040, and a simple additional form to list health insurance premiums and other allowable expenses.

This puts me in the driver seat when it comes to spending my health care dollars. Not a collusion between provider and insurance company divvying up the pile of money that I never see.

I suggest you never go to a hospital ER unless you are transported by EMS with a life threatening condition/wound.

Otherwise, you will be lost among the illegals and indigent citizens being treated for minor ailments but going to the front of the triage line by complaining of chest pains and unseen head injuries.

When you are finally seen, it will most likely be by a DO or PA, not an MD, and their lack of training will induce a plethora of tests to help them diagnose your health issue. Doing so both greatly elongates your stay at the ER and creates a huge bill to pay.

Moreover, you are billed outrageous fees because the illegals and citizens who either can’t or won’t pay induce the hospital to exploit the paying customer to make-up for the losses..

The “Doc in the box” neighborhood clinics (Texas Med Clinic is a good example in Texas) are flourishing for the aforementioned reasons, and most are staffed with former ER MDs who quit the hospital environment due to frustration and overwork. Many of them operate 24/7, and the service is more personal, faster, and fairly priced. Also, the bureaucracy and paperwork are minuscule compared to a hospital ER.

        Rant over.

Otherwise don’t bother. Go for the actual perpetrator, and bring justice to the girls.

“Also, by singing this deal, he will give away his last remaining point of leverage on the border for the remainder of this term. As it stands now, Trump has the status quo of automatic budget caps on his side. Democrats are the ones who need a deal for a new law in order to secure their spending priorities. Trump merely has to allow the status quo to play out. This gives him leverage to demand more funding for ICE deportations, border enforcement, and the wall in return for more welfare spending …n March 2018, after Trump reluctantly signed two consecutive budget bills increasing spending and jettisoning his immigration priorities, he promised he would “never again” sign bills like that. Instead, that is exactly what he has been convinced to do multiple times both by GOP congressional leaders and by swamp-dwellers in the administration. Now is quite literally his last chance to fulfill that promise.

In this case, “never again” requires nothing more than holding the line on the status quo. The veto pen is the single most powerful tool in government.”

I anticipate that the Dems in the House will attach all their anti-MAGA amendments to the Defense appropriation bill and they will, in large part, survive the Senate’s scrutiny. Moreover, we can be sure that the restrictive amendments will be carefully and clearly written to preclude any interpretive flexibility by the President.

The President will then be forced to accept the final bill with its shackles on his agenda, or veto it and place the military in peril.

IMO, the House controlling defense appropriations initially and then adding crippling amendments to the bill as desired, knowing Dems and RINOs in the Senate will support them, are very effective means of impairing/stopping the President’s initiatives.

By its terms, §1182(f) exudes deference to the President in every clause. It entrusts to the President the decisions whether and when to suspend entry (“[w]henever [he] finds that the entry” of aliens “would be detrimental the national interest); whose entry to suspend (“all aliensor any class of aliens”); for how long (“for such period as heshall deem necessary”); and on what conditions (“any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate”). It is there-fore unsurprising that we have previously observed that§1182(f) vests the President with “ample power” to impose entry restrictions in addition to those elsewhere enumer-ated in the INA.”

Well, neither did I, or if I did, I didn’t quite grasp its significance, even as I was learning about the whole international mailing ripoff.
I did uncover the fact that our postal service subsidizes mail from China to hear, which is a large part of the reason some trinket from China can get manufactured, end up in the US with a cut for the makers and the retailers on this end, and still end up selling for way less than the cost of shipping alone to another foreign country.
If we are looking at the UPU, I hope we will also get into why the USPS dropped the shipping option for overseas mail, the slow option, and went to air mail only, which is prohibitively expensive.
The reason the postal service exists is so that Americans can mail things.
If we can’t afford to, they aren’t doing their job.

  25. Posted under general relevancy….. the Gallup poll has tracked public opinion regarding the US Supreme Court back to at least 2000. From 1986-2005 the excellent William J Rehnquist was Chief Justice. Pretzel boy fraud John Roberts was made Chief Justice by Jorge W Bush.

One item widely reported at the Pretzel’s ‘elevation’ was that he was concerned about the court’s reputation and whatnot – which is an entirely political stance btw….. I digress. At the time, this concern was, IMO, cover for something more nefarious – a Bushwing guy who would be a floater for expansive government power. The whole repetitional concern thing has always been BS.

If you look at Gallup’s poll (only through 2018, btw- doesn’t include the recent census question garbage) the trend for the court under Pretzel Boy fraud John Roberts is DOWN. The public perception trend for the court under Roberts is DOWN.

So, if this guy was really concerned about the court’s reputation then his twisted goofy opinions in the major public cases is harming the court as an institution. Again, the sales-pitch regarding him was cover, a preordained excuse for him to be a political hack.

I pray daily for a couple of the libs to retire b/c we still do not have a constitutional respecting court and won’t until Roberts is, rightfully, marginalized.

It is not a mistake. This continues PDJT’s absolute command of the news cycle. The MSM cannot help themselves, like moths drawn to a nighttime flame. Omar is now a familiar name, by the intense focus on whether people should or should not chant “send her back”. It is now MUCH harder for the MSM and dem-favored law-enforcement to ignore her tax and immigration problems, and her past anti-american and antisemitic activities. She now has all the news coverage that would go to the old-guard Dems. She, for as long as PDJT can keep the laser-focus on her, is the face of the Dem party. Then Rashida Tlaib’s quotes and criminal family issues can come to the fore. This has not fully played out yet. The old dem leadership has NO airtime as long as this lasts. The fundraising for the army of dem presidential candidates is going nowhere while all the airtime is on the most crazy. Pelosy (is that a disease?) is forced so far toward crazy to try to stay relevant, that she even violates her own House Rules.

The 2020 election is all about the 5-10 percent of independent voters who will make up their minds shortly before the election. The 4 horsewomen of the apocolypse are way too scary for them. The more they are publicized, the harder it is for the dem machine to stay dominated by the old guard, before they fragment.

I would have made light of the chant. For example:

“These people are patriots who love their country and recognize someone in a position of power who hates it and has made comments sympathetic to terrorists. This worries them. It’s completely understandable that might say something like that. They also could have been alluding to her possible immigration law violations, which, if true, could lead to deportation. Have you asked any of the people who chanted what they thought?”

Hey, people have different priorities. Some put religion first. Some their ethnicity. And they’ll shoot themselves in the foot voting on these priorities (right, Utah?).

Like it or not it’s one of the realities of our citizenry. Some people vote stupidly. The 2020 election is extremely important. Trump should be working to GAIN votes, not lose them. And Trump shouldn’t be feeding the trolls, so to speak, because it only allows them to seize the narrative, aided and abetted by their media partners. Don’t give the other side material to work with! He has legitimate complaints, Instead of saying “go back” and being vague about his intended targets in his tweet, he should have singled out Omar and said “If you’re not happy with the US you’re free to return to Somalia … but they’ve got much worse problems.” Stick to factual stuff, don’t employ well known insults.

You know there are a lot of people who would love Trump if he stopped making those outrageous tweets. I’m not bugged at all by the tweets, I laugh at them and I’m proud that he’s unafraid, but I also want him to win again in 2020 and I worry that he’s turning people off again as he did in 2016, my own brother being a perfect example. My brother has been a Republican all of his life but he was so offended by Trump he actually voted for Hillary! Trump’s in a great position right now, I hope he doesn’t blow it.

He (if he exists”, thinks that ilhan omar should be allowed to have as many husbands on her tax return as she wants for tax and immigration claims, that we should merge with mexico and central america, and that elizabeth warren is 95% cherokee.

The fact that you wrote “if he exists” tells me that you want to believe every Republican loves Trump and you don’t want to hear any contradictory evidence. My brother exists, and I have met plenty of Republicans who have told me they cringe when Trump tweets and wish he would stop,

Despite appearing to be an easy win, the 2016 election was actually incredibly close. The economy is booming now, the Mueller witch hunt has ended, the Democrats in the House have given up on obstruction-based impeachment (but obviously are still searching for other reasons to impeach), and the Democrats have a really pathetic bunch of candidates … this is Trump’s election to win or lose and what he ought to do is ensure a win by appealing to a wider audience, not just the base. It’s OK for us to chant “send her back” because we’re not on the ballot, but if Trump does it then some voters might be turned off. It doesn’t matter if they’re right or wrong, it’s their personal preference. Trump can draw them in by making some slight alterations in the wording of his tweets.

lurker, I actually have a Republican brother who, like yours, went along with the party line that Trump was “unpresidential” way back then.

I was obligated to speak up (he’s not used to that) and object to the nonsense he repeated, trying to get along and be a “normie” (as he learned to do in school and in his profession, to be successful). Common sense broke through. It’s true that if you repeat a lie often enough, people will tend to believe it, but when the little kids speak up and point out that the Emperor is wearing NO CLOTHES it becomes harder to pretend, even for lifelong conformists

Republicans need to know when they sound STUPID and follow clueless, seditious, ineffective leadership like what the Republican party has offered for decades. Gah!

If PDJT does not “tweet” controversial criticism (with underlying dem-harmful facts withheld by the media) there would be no coverage of these negative facts. “Tweeting” is the most informal, non-presidential communication form possible, which only goes to those who sign up. It keeps twirrer profitable, until PDJT switches formats. The media trades quick opportunuty for “orange man bad”, for slower unravelling of more-permanently defining dem-characteristics that the media want to hide. The 4 horsewomen are becoming ghe poster-children symbolizing the dem party. They are being given power which pelosy/schumer cannot stop, because the media are addictively hooked on the controversy like coke addicts. It will play out to PDJT’s favor in a few months as omar’s tax, immigration husbands, and statements get more investigation and coverage. Same with the others. Meanwhile, the dem “leadership” and their candidates have no coverage, and few donations.
If your brother actually exists, it doesn’t look like he is the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Agree. The Powerline blog, run by a group of lawyers has been all over this. Omar is basically a criminal having committed documented fraud.

What people don’t seem to realize is that a naturalized citizen can have their citizenship revoked for criminal activity. Omar has committed a lot of crimes according to the research evidence.

Then when you add the fact that her father was an enforcer for the former Somalia warlord and has been designated a war criminal for the murder of THOUSANDS of people? We should be upset because people chanted Send her Back? I don’t think so.

Given what her family did in Somalia in murdering thousands of people under a warlord that lost power, I imagine the current leadership would love to have Omar and her family back home to face justice.

It’s funny how the media-rats cherry picks things to denounce President Trump and then people pile on…… President Trump. We should be piling on the lying POS media-rats who have COVERED UP Omar’s crimes for several years. Even the UK Press is reporting her crimes!

So, let me play the media-rats game and put the shoe on the other foot. Anyone who is denouncing the Send her Back chant is supporting death to Israel, death to jews, communism, shredding the Constitution and the destruction of America because that is what Omar stands for in word and deed. How do you like that generalized label?

Personally, I would like her and her entire family sent back home to face justice. JMHO

Of his targets (and we know who they are even though he didn’t explicitly name them), only one was born outside of the U.S.

Just chalk it up to a mistake and hope that he doesn’t do it again. What he said wasn’t that awful, but he gave the Democrats an opportunity to blast him for days on end. Has it stopped yet? Apparently not because we’re STILL talking about it. They had a freaking IMPEACHMENT vote about it yesterday. He’s in a good position, he has to not blow it, not cause problems for himself.
