Maybe he, Mueller realised if he was going to be questioned about the report, it might be a good idea if he actually READ the report, to,…you know have SOME idea of what was actually IN it.

Doubting he will actually testify, except Dems are so dumb. Predict if he does, it will actually make Cohens testimony look good by comparison.

Yep. I think you totally nailed it.

It seems impossible that Mueller could ever present himself as a sympathetic figure, but this freak show is sizing up to be grotesque exercise in public humiliation. By the time Mueller is done giving a self-immolating performance the Democrats may end up wearing the shame and malicious cruelty of demanding old man Mueller go through with this charade only to lay bare his apparent feebleness and decline before the entire nation.

      “Democrat Ugly.”

The problem for the Democrats and for Mueller is that the longer it is delayed, every day we hear more about the inadequacies of the Mueller report, the conflicting or disputable facts, the issues surrounding Steele and his dossier, FISA abuse, problems with the Flyn case etc. If the IG report were to be published before Mueller gives testimony (rather unlikely), it would probably cause Mueller even more difficulties.

I think that there is every chance that the Democrats have woken up to the potential damage that Mueller will cause, and that there is every chance that Mueller will not in the end give tesimony.

      • I’d like to see him testify – but not in a one-hour kangaroo testimony when others have been grilled all day long. For one thing, “I want our $38 million dollars back.” Our country got billed $180,000 for every worthless sheet of paper, and it is useless as a special counsel’s report. I want our money back.

Barr ain’t gonna ‘step in’, and ‘save’ his old buddy. He warned him, DON’T do it. If Mueller does it anyway, its on his head.

He will discredit himself, publically which is frankly long overdue.

He will discredit the Dems, and their whole effort. I am not sure the Repubs even need to participate, the Dems have loaded the gun, and are pointing it at their own heads.

They don’t need any help, to pull the trigger. Once again, they have painted themselves into a corner: if they don’t have Mueller testify, or if his testimony doesn’t make a political case for impeachment strong enough to convince those not already convinced
(the base), than the base, will DESTROY them.

The AOC/Bernie wing will attack the old guard as weak and inneffective and unable to ‘topple’ Trump. AOC actually called Pelosi a MODERATE, and a day or so later Nancy did her presser about global standards.
AOC is working to do a leftist tea party, primarying candidates in purple districts who she and her group believe are too moderate.

Mueller is just going to feed into this larger war between factions in the Democrat party.

Nor do I see their plan of using Impeachment threat as a POLITICAL tool, to ‘help’them in 2020 elections.

We should focus directly on the victims: “the girls.” After adding more charges based on the materials found in his townhouse, we should convene a “speedy trial” and lock him away. He must never be released on bail because he’ll jump the country. Jury selection should begin today. There’s no question of what he did: we carted out boxes full of new evidence for new charges from that townhouse. And no, we don’t give a damn about your little black book.

No, we DO care about those epstein serviced in his little black book. The CIA/FBI (massad?) or other government participation is by far the most important. The official blackmail, “intelligence” and political connections (clintons, clinton foundation, those epstein “donated to, those that protected epstein in NY and elsewhere reducing the category of offender status from 3 to 1, pemitting “jail”to be his luxury residence, etc.) are a major threat. j edgar hoover’s salacious blackmail files on steroids.

Yes. Mueller was intimatetly acquainted with the FBI investigation into Epstein. Had that investigation revealed the slightest bit of dirt on Trump, one can bet ones bottom dollar, that Mueller would somehow have slippled in reference to that dirt, in the Mueller report. This is one reason why the President probably has little to fear from further investigations/scrutiny of Epstein.

The resulting conflagration could reduce the Mueller Report and the entire investigation for impeachment into ashes. Barr has to get the fire under control. The extra two weeks or so should be enough to slap the faces of the hysterical DNC/MSM talking heads into realizing where their Epstein rhetoric is pointing–Right at Robert Swan Mueller III, runner of informants like Jeffy-Weffy Epstein and Whitey Bulger.

They are now preparing the excerpts they want Mueller to publically read. Cherry picked, taken out-of-context. Between Lawfare and Herr Weissmann, they have to have all their ducks in a row so they can have as many snippets read as possible.
This won’t be benign. I fear HR1. Lawfare didn’t write that bill for the American people. Lawfare wrote that bill for maximum collateral damage. It makes Nikitas of the Democrat committee chairmen. Guaranteed to draw outrage if it is introduced in a Republican Senate. Then again, fairness and honesty have been out of the Democrat playbook since Teddy Kennedy and Bubba. O just weaponized it.

  11. It’s amusing to hear Nadler & Company say, “hear directly from Mr. Mueller what his investigation uncovered.” Well, it is quickly becoming clear – from an actual Court challenge that he never expected the accused Russian company to file – that for our $40 million and 22 months he didn’t “uncover” anything at all. The methods used to gather information were illegal under Federal law. The far-fetched legal theories of obstruction are based on one-half of one sentence by a law firm that calls itself “Lawfare,” and which is making a ton of money from these fools right now.

The facts? Impeachment is over. Their grand scheme has failed completely, and the vast conspiracy of crime is being exposed and will soon be laid in front of other Courts who do apply the law as it is written. Law which you did violate.

    Now imagine this-

House & Senate Democrats ask Mueller the questions over and over about whether “Trump obstructed the investigation that proved the Russian government interefered in the election”.

    A) Mueller has to correct Democrats false premise on live TV and state that his report never found as fact or proved that the Russian Government interfered in the election. Those are unproven ALLEGATIONS by the DOJ, not FACTS.

    B) Mueller doesn’t correct the false premise about Russian government election interference as a fact: Juge Frederich likely sanctions Mueller personally, and possibly even dismisses the DOJ’s case because Mueller falsely indicated that Russian government election interference is a proven fact.

Got to agree with that. My belief was always that Mueller would never testify…Too much danger of being exposed. Mueller knows that his entire “probe” has enough holes in it to allow it to be categorized as Swiss Cheese. Barr threw the “monkey in the wrench” in it when he “summarized it & Mueller himself inflicted the “fly in the ointment” when he gave his 9 minute quasi press conference that turned out to be a mumbling bumbling jibber jabber of no sequitur nonsense about anything…

The Epstein issue just wasn’t enough to suck all the oxygen out of the room…Just enough to give cover to postponing a bit.

They moved the session to 7/24 & on 7/23 SOMETHING will surface that causes the session to have to move again….AND then Congress goes on recess. Then they will script…oh who knows…maybe an AOC “back on the boarder again” intervention.& old Mueller will fade into obscurity.

Getting the picture? Mueller will never utter a word in public testimony ….EVER ….Bet on it.

The trouble with the further one week (yeah, right) delay is that the Dems retain the initiative, which they have had since they cooked up that “the best strategy is slaughter Donald for his bromance with Putin” back in December 2015.

Per Sun Tzu, the Art of War:

Those who arrive early at the place of conflict
will be in a position to take initiative.

    Those who arrive late
    must hasten into action troubled.

Thus, those are skilled in conflicts
will make the first move to
    prevent others from taking initiative.

President Trump announced last September he was going to declassify everything. Since then, one reneg after another. “I’m a better counterpuncher,” he said. Maybe he’s playing “rope a dope,” letting the Dems exhaust themselves throwing ineffectual punches, but it is HIS Administration, more than half way through his first term, already into political season for 2020, and it is time for the champ to come off the ropes and start pounding the crap out of his Marxist enemies. Time for the MAGA team to take the initiative. Time for Barr to take the initiative against major felonies committed by so-called public servants.

As is, everything keeps getting delayed by Deep Staters maintaining the initiative.

The direct and the indirect lead on to each other in turn. It is like moving in a circle—you never come to an end. Who can exhaust the possibilities of their combination? #

RC again: They can attack any which way they want, but the Master General (in our case, Pres Trump) can use their attack to apply inexhaustible maneuvers against them. He can combine, separate, receive an attack and retreat in a way that is it is an advance, and get behind his enemy. (His enemy has shown their ruthlessness, but not true insight — were they truly wise, they wouldn’t be acting as the monsters they are.) So far he’s shown he’s a natural at this, and he’s had plenty of both tactical and strategic experience in NYC and NJ, dealing with the Mob and the Democrats (but I repeat myself).
