The Outnumbered crew are disgusted Acosta stopped going after Epstein. According to them he should never sleep, never stop……..it could be be that Acosta & prosecutors would be put in danger. His deal put Epstein behind bars for 18 months—- who released him for work release? Their anger is misdirected on Acosta. Is Acosta the only person who knew what a disgusting person Epstein is— why didn’t anyone else go after him in the last decade?

Pam Bondi – former FLA AG said that the Florida Grand Jury heard the evidence and was not going to charge him with a crime that would require a prison term.. Only two witnesses came forward to testify…. Acosta stepped in and pushed for an agreement that would make ure Epstein got jail time and registered as a sex offender… Otherwise he had a good chance of walking. with probation and no sex offender status.

We should keep going after the media for not doing their job— where are there articles about victims? where are their articles on Epstein’s life after prison? where are their articles on following legal protocol after Epstein was released? What happened, media? Why did you fail the past victims and prevent future victims? Why didn’t media do their job?

          That’s what Ann Coulter says:
“The only reason for the media’s flood-the-zone coverage of Epstein — 13 years late — is that they think they’ve found a Trump connection. Oh happy day. (Trump was friendly with Epstein 15 years ago — before banning him from Mar-a-Lago for life after he hit on a young girl working there.)

The main hook is: Trump’s Labor secretary, Alex Acosta, accepted a disreputable plea deal with Epstein while serving as a U.S. attorney under President Bush. If fixating on Acosta is what it takes to keep this case from being brushed under the rug (again), then I guess you can have him.”
          http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2019-07-10.html#read_more

Ann says a Democrat named Barry Krischer, who was the Palm Beach State Attorney, wouldn’t prosecute Epstein.
That’s how the FBI got involved in what should have been a local case.
“Pretty much everything we know about Epstein’s (alleged) molestation of minors is known because of the original 11-month investigation by the Palm Beach police, tied up in a bow and handed to Krischer in 2006.”

Ann says she won’t be surprised if the SDNY takes a dive too.
After reading the piece, neither will I.
Chuck Schumer’s entire concern seems to be on Acosta’s behavior, because Acosta has that tenuous connection to Donald Trump.

I really recommend reading her whole article.

I’m now starting to remember the case back then, there wasn’t much in the media, but I remember hearing of the suggestion that the case couldn’t be prosecuted because there was dirt in the minor girls’ backgrounds.
Of course there was, they wouldn’t have fallen prey to a disgusting psycho and his disgusting psycho circle if they had come from protective families.

Once again it’s dirty Democrat politics that thows girls under the bus.

This is Very selective and incredibly delayed outrage. For 10 yrs Epstein’s conviction was ignored and he was welcomed back to high society. Now, they want to act as if this is a brand new controversy and that no one but GOP has ever associated with him. Nope! They are spinning and just out right lying.

“On the evening of December 2nd, 2010, a handful of America’s media and entertainment elite—including TV anchors Katie Couric and George Stephanopoulos, comedienne Chelsea Handler, and director Woody Allen—convened around the dinner table of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. It wasn’t just any dining room, but part of a sprawling nine-story townhouse that once housed an entire preparatory school. And it wasn’t just any sex offender, but an enigmatic billionaire who had once flown the likes of former President Bill Clinton and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak around the world on his own Boeing 727. Last spring, Epstein completed a 13-month sentence for soliciting prostitution from a minor in Palm Beach. Now he was hosting a party for his close friend, Britain’s Prince Andrew, fourth in line to the throne.”

These same media corporations, dems and globalists continued to associate with Epstein pasted his conviction and serving jail time for his pedo crimes. Why? And where was the outrage then?

I don’t understand, I’m not a legal expert, but why didn’t people like Chuck Schumer, if they are so outraged over the treatment Acosta gave Epstein, use their high positions, a long time ago, to get the guy charged in New York?
They knew what a perv he was.

For 10 yrs Epstein’s conviction was ignored and he was welcomed back to high society.

It wasn’t really ignored. The problem is that the plea deal was made secret by Acosta! Even the victims didn’t know about it!

The reason why it all came to light was because of a Miami Herald reporter who decided she was going to get some info. Kudos to her for all of her hard work. She’s probably the reason why Epstein is now facing new charges. She’s not accepting Acosta’s excuses.

The Miami Herald reporter who broke the news of Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta’s plea agreement with financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein called out inaccuracies in Acosta’s public statement that he made Wednesday on the matter.

“He managed to present it in a way that sounds true if you really don’t read the court records and understand the sequence of events,” the Herald’s Julie K. Brown said in an appearance on CNN on Wednesday evening.

Brown highlighted two specific claims Acosta made in his public statement, first pushing back on the claim that the prosecution had inadequate evidence against Epstein at the time.

“He had 36 girls who all told the same story, which is amazing,” Brown said. “I talked to only a handful of them and they all said what the MO [modus operandi] was.”

Additionally, Brown said, in cases where witnesses may be afraid to testify, “It is the job of the prosecutors to make them feel secure enough to testify.”

Brown also called out the “secrecy” involved in the deal with Epstein.

“If this was such a great deal, and this was the best they could do, why didn’t they tell the victims? Why didn’t they answer the victims’ phone calls?” she said. “The part about not informing the victims wasn’t written in that agreement.” (there’s more at the link)

It was ignored in the sense that as soon as his jail time was over he was socially acceptable despite being a convicted pedo.

No he wasn’t 100% ignored by everyone but the news and media ignored him and ignored all of those who continued to associate with him all of these years as well as take his donations. Only now that he is arrested is he being shunned…now that it can be twisted by the dems to implicate Trump Admin.

They were find with Epstein all if these years. Taking a convicted Pedo’s money and eating dinner with him, etc.

He is disgusting and bike but their just discovered outrage and sudden rejection of him are fake and a distraction and only a tool to be used against the Trump Admin.

How is the outrage about Acosta v. The actual Criminal!!

Whoopi on The View expressed her annoyance with the newcomer brats knocking the older Democrats:
“I have a problem with how all these young women started out when they were accusing older Democrats, like myself, of not getting what needed to be done in the country,” said Goldberg. “It’s more B.S. … Please remember — all you young people, you’re on the shoulders of a whole bunch of people who came before you.”

Meghan McCain defended Pelosi, from a political standpoint:
“McCain then noted that while she’s not a fan of Pelosi’s politics, she respects her decades-long career. “It’s Pelosi who delivered midterms,” said the conservative firebrand. “She’s still serving her country, and that deserves respect from younger generations.”

This is like MSM of the early 70s trying to decide how to refer to blacks. I wish I could find the letter from the editor of Time magazine which was an excruciating rationale for the decision to refer to blacks as “black Americans”. This after socially acceptable usage of “Negro” followed by “Afro-American”. And who can forget “Colored People” as in the NAACP which predated those. Personally I think all of these racial descriptors are lame at best, and pathetic in general. Let’s stick with “Americans”. And let’s stick also with “Illegal Aliens” regardless of what shot-for-brains intellectuals and progressives spew among themselves.

Stocks Stumble As Trump Says “China Is Letting Us Down”

    Fading A China Trade Deal

    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-11/fading-china-trade-deal

…even the doves in the Trump administration seem to be growing increasingly pessimistic and lowering expectations.

Kudlow: U.S. may never reach trade deal with China: “When you get down to the last 10 percent, seven-yard line, it’s tough,” he added, referring to the negotiations. – Larry Kudlow, Politico

China can play the long game and Xi is also probably studying U.S. political polls, smells blood, and sees a president growing desperate for a deal. Moreover, the polls in the states that matter most for re-election continue to get worse for the President.

Go no further than taking a few steps north of the 38th parallel if you need confirmation. Bloomberg now reports that the Trump administration is mulling over suspending some sanctions on North Korea,

The U.S. is considering suspending some sanctions on North Korea for 12 to 18 months in exchange for a freeze on the country’s nuclear weapons program, the Yonhap News Agency reported. = Bloomberg

That is a big concession and far cry from total denuclearization,

Apparently PDJT will address the citizenship census question in the Rose Garden at 1700. Because of the Roberts SCOTUS ruling, this is a big deal with potential legal/impeachment implications under A2§3 Take Care clause.

Although most of what follows has been posted previously in longer form, here is (in reverse order), the background lay f the land.

    1. Barr was right to seek to replace the NY v. Commerce US team. They were manifestly incompetent bu not raising the correct legal arguments, giving Roberts the ‘insufficient reason’ excuse. The federal judge was wrong to disallow this replacement. Often criminal defendents try this trick in order to buy time. The response in this case should have been a government stipulation that the replacement would lead to no delay.

    2. The NY grounds that the Administrative Procedures Act, 5USC§551 et seq was violated is itself faulty. §551(4) specifies when the APA procedures apply: to rulemaking “designed to implement, interpret, or prescribe law or policy.” Following A1§2.3 as amended is none of those. End of case.

    3. A1§2.3 also says Congress shall do the decennial census for reapportionment “in such manner as they (Congress) shall by Law direct.” That ‘by law direct’ is presently 13USC§141 et seq, passed in 1977 and first applicable to the 1980 census. §141(1) says, “ The Secretary (Commerce) shall, in the tear 1980 and every 10 years thereafter take a decennial census….IN SUCH FORM ABD CONTENT AS HE MAY DETERMINE.” Period. No reasons need be given.

    4. Lest this broad delegation by Congress to Commerce be challengeable as overly broad, §141(f)(2) further provided that Sec Commerce “shall, not later than 2 years before the Census, provide (Congress) a report containing the Secretary’s determination of questions proposed. This timing allows Congress to intervene and modify per its own constitutional duty if it sees fit. Ross provided the report, it included the citizenship question that triggered the NY lawsuit. Congress, however, remained and remains officially silent.

    5. All 9 justices agreed the citizenship question is constitutional. They disagreed on whether the process was sufficient, because of the poor way the NY case was argued by US deep state attornies missing points 2, 3, and 4.

PDJT has a couple of options.
He can have AG Barr explain all the above, then direct the question be added and dare another lawsuit.
Or, he can have Barr explain all the above (bad courts, bad law, nonsense) then announce he is delaying the Census from April 1 to Dec 1 2020 in order to clarify these matters legally. Note 13USC141 does not say WHEN in 2020 the Census should start nor when it should finish. April 1 is merely a tradition, and the first constitutional use would be the 2022 reapportionment so not finishing until mid 2021 is in principle not a legal problem. That buys 8 months from now to redo the legal process and reprint the Census forms with the question, IF, as the US claimed to get the expedited NY case review, printing had to begin early July 2019 to make the April 1 2020 date.

Dunno (suspect explanations and delay), but am looking forward to this afternoon’s fireworks.

Thank you, Ristvan, for the summary.

What about an executive order to include the census question, especially since the SC has deemed the question to be constitutional?

To be sure, there will be more court challenges. Because … Trump.

I was going to General Dynamic to put in an app. Many years ago, they were testing an F16 right in front of the hanger. It came rocking in on its tail about hanger high, stopped there and then hit it, straight vertical, then roll upside down and gone. Very. Cool.
