And the initial stuff they reported was probably leaked by the same people in the first place. It was a complete loop of information laundering to get warrants.

And breach all kinds of lawyer/client privilege.

Remember they unlawfully just took all of the transition emails because they got someone at the GSA hand them over. They were privileged too.

      Everything they did was unethical.

So, using the press, for a kind of “parrallel construction”, similar to what they did with ‘pee’ dossier.

When you look at Weismans career, seems like he had a guardian protecting him from any justified punishment for his repeated, aggregious behavior.

Same for Mueller. Who were those pulling the strings, to allow these people to continue to get away with this B.S.?

        Clintons, Obamas, WHO?

        • I don’t know if any particular uber-VIPs need to be pulling the strings on the likes of Weissman and Mueller for all of their unethical behavior and crimes to float by without any consequences. They’re all pulling each other’s strings (and other things) . . . essentially ALL of DC and all of the pseudo-elites outside of DC who are connected to its orbit.

For example, when all of these DC-denizens claim that Mueller is a “man of integrity” . . . they all can’t be lying. Most of them actually probably believe it. It’s like an episode of the Twilight Zone . . . a community where grotesque distortions of reality become commonplace thinking.

I strongly suspect there’s a long line of those who were granted law licenses, that never actually passed the Bar Exam, a/o are known to have cheated.

It makes sense when you realize how many fail to comprehend the most basic fundamentals of Law (eg. Signatures on doc’s = “it’s just Bedazzle”; or attorney-client privilege = Star witness against any former client; Exculpatory evidence = Hide at all costs … “‘Brady Rule?’ Oh, that’s just some quarterback. Apparently, deflating footballs is rarely appreciated. So rude!”

They can’t even interpret simple Laws, or correctly apply case rulings.

It would be a great way to control a bunch of Lawless Minions, pretending to be Lawyers … “We now own you Mr. Minion, Esq. We both know you never actually passed the Bar. So don’t even think about applying elsewhere… or unless we tell you to.”

They probably seek these types out too– while they’re in the pits of despair, having just learned all their effort was for not. I bet there’s even a (super-secret) “Failures for Referral Program”… or something similar.

It would explain so much, beyond the standard blackmail files DC is reliant upon to function.

If this is too long, please just skip it…
One important “string-puller” is the FISC court. The FISC was presented with “MOTIONS TO SPY ON PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN” and MOTIONS TO SPY ON PRESIDENT”. The FISC just said “OK – glad you asked, NO PROBLEM, here ya go, have fun spying”.

They must be in cahoots. They did not apparently even hold a hearing to ask any questions. The FISC granted and extended the most powerful spy authorization in history, against thousands of US Citizens via 2-hop rule, without any concern. Anyone the ALLEGED DANGEROUS RUSSIAN FOREIGN AGENT (which the FBI knew was false) Carter Page ever communicated with, and anyone those people ever communicated with. The entire Trump Campaign – all the congresscritters and donors and staff who would communicate with the Trump campaign. How gargantuan is the Trump Campaign phone or email mailing list?

The FISC Court was designed to insure that 4th Amendment rights of US Citizens, who are not present or represented in the court, are protected. It is designed by law (“by the book”) as a Judicial Bulwark, to prevent political or illegal overreach spying abuse that the Execeutive Branch FBI/DOJ would attempt. High-level representations are required to be sworn under oath, under penalty of criminal perjury, for even applying to spy. There are other strict obligations, such as the requirement that any exculpatory or countervailing evidence be presented, and that any information as to bias or untrustworthyness must be disclosed. The FISC, presented with requests to spy on an entire Presidential political campaign, Transition Team, and President, did not even hold a hearing to examine verification, or the necessity of such spying (“why not just tell Candidate Trump that Carter Page (actual FBI gent), General Flynn, and George Papadoc are russian spies”, so Presidential Candidate Trump could be cautious,if true (which it was not) or challenge these claims as ridiculous? Why would the FISC at a hearing on a motion to spy on thousands of US Citizens engaged in a Presidential Campaign, not ask the DOJ/FBI “we will just grant a spy warrant on Carter Page, alone, to make sure he is a dangerous foreign russian agent as the FBI claims. Come back if you get legal proof. (the FISC knows 85% of spying is illegal, but does nothing).

The “Jussie Smollett secret Star Chamber” FISC court didn’t even holds hearing to grill the DOJ/FBI about the hopefully-constitutionally-unprecedented request to spy on an entore Presidential Campaign. The FISC soon knew and knows it was defrauded by lies, illegsl spying, and material omissions, yet did not withdraw the fraudulently obtained spy-warrants on these thousands+ of US citizens participating in the US Presidential election. The FISC authorized spying on a President, without even blinking, much less holding extensive hearings on this dangerous and unprecedented anti-Constitutional action. The FISC court did not disbar and punish the false oath-makers. The FISC Is a major component of those “WHO” pull strings to protect wrongdoers.

When PDJT releases the FISC records, and the unredacted DOJ/FBI records, there should be enough evidence for a class action suit for deprivation of constitutional rights by rthe entire Trump Campaign, the Transition Team, and even the President. Rather than the Transition Team being subpoenaed and beaten up by the dem congress, this will present an opportunity for discovery against this bullying.
Similarly, Sharyl Atkisson’s suit against spying on her was dismissed for lack of proof. The released records of 85% illegal spying should include records of spying on reporters, which would facilitate her refiling of her case, and get discovery.

            Beau;
According to those in the know, the FISC doesn’t have HEARINGS, per se, for ANY of the warrant applications.
Because it is all ‘secret’ we aren’t able to detirmine to what degree the FISC court is complicit, compromised or just manipulated by those ‘working the system’.

Perhaps SOME or all of the Judges were compromised, during the illegal contractor 702 requests?

Who and how is it decided, WHICH Judge sees the FISA warrant request? Probably a clerk assigns the ‘cases’. These judges have a ‘regular’ case, load, and do the FISA as ‘extra’. Maybe some or all of the Judges looked at their role as to be a rubber stamp.
Bribe, coerce or blackmail the, clerk, to ‘steer’ the Fisa applocation to a Judge you want?

Without opening up sunlight to the process, such as declassifying and releasing all the associated paperwork for the application, along WITH the, applications, we won’t really have the information to know.

Even then, thats only partial sunlight. Was this a one time occurence, or SOP? One Judge, Some Judge or ALL Judge?

            Dunno,….

“The Goal of Life Should Be to Improve One’s Soul, to Become a Better Person.
Although I am a political junkie and, going back to my early teens, always have been, this generation often makes me rue ever having taken an interest in public life. Living in a real world, I understand that I will encounter some lying and hypocrisy, even from really good people. As an honest person, I cannot say that my own life has been completely devoid of such moments. But the thing is, I do try to look into the psychological mirror, to judge myself privately, to accept (constructive!) criticism, and to do better.”

I watched her press conference. She made a bald accusation about a cover up and supplied no facts. The “reporters” did not request facts.

It is pretty obvious what the leftist strategy is here. The objective is to create a parallel crime narrative to compete with and drown out the coming declassification and predicate investigation re FISA and 702 abuse.

Lots of luck, Nancy, that won’t work too well when arrests occur. The smart ones will turn states evidence and help convict the bigger fish.

If arrests are the planned course, or even a realistically potential course, then they will need to defend themselves by making the arrests appear to be political retribution or part of an alleged cover-up.

I don’t think it’ll work. The Administration didn’t do anything wrong so I feel as though their strategy is going to be maximum sunlight and transparency. They won’t even really have to set the narrative because the scandal will speak for itself.

Judges will not allow him to do anything, media spewing propaganda every minute of a day, republicans passively supporting Trump overthrow, democrats actively and unitedly trying to overthrow the president with the help of media, social media censuring and actively interfering with any issue and election, and Trump supporters are asleep waiting for this amazing man to do everything by himself. Do not worry after Trump you can go back to voting Bushes, Clintons and Obamas in they will not only solve the immigration as they did before but they will sprinkle some communism/socialism on top of that so you will at least have another issue to worry about.

I have a different take on PT’s immigration stance. I truly believe the this is a top priority for him. He recently said that they will be removed “don’t get comfortable….you are not going to stay”. PT is going to totally decimate the uniparty through spygate. When he is done with them, they will beg him to work a deal to make them relevant again. He will get what he wants including total and tight enforcement of e-verify and the prohibition of using any funds for these invaders’ welfare. Then there will be a systematic self deportation with the help of the federal gov’t. You come to a particular stadium and we will bus you to the airport for your one way flight home. Otherwise, you starve.

This might be considered “tip toeing through the tulips” to some, but I refuse to believe that he is just ignoring the issue that got him elected. Look at China. Early on, before taking on the Chicoms, he went to India ad Vietnam and forged relationships with them, so that they would be there when he implemented the hammer down part. All of his policies include many “long game” strategies with several seemingly unrelated parts.

I’ll eat my hat if PDJT doesn’t have a big time plan that will have us high fiving and ordering more popcorn. He has a history of this sort of thing. Just watch.

Also, if we the people are the only ones who have have oversight of the congress through the electoral process, shouldn’t any constituent have standing to require the release of said tax returns from any candidate seeking congressional election?

Why don’t we start a campaign for the public release of tax returns for all congressional candidates which includes incumbents.

The whole “push” to try to ‘get’ PDJT on Obstruction was NOT so Dems could vote to impeach (in House and Senate) they have been ready to vote to impeach since before inauguration.

The whole purpose was to give RepubliCONS in Congress “Political Cover” (an EXCUSE, not a REASON) To do what they WANT to do, i.e. vote for impeachment.

The REPUBLICONS in Congress ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS, nor are they PDJT’s.

“Lawyers for former national security adviser Michael Flynn told a judge Tuesday that they oppose releasing fully unredacted documents related to his sentencing for lying to the FBI about his contacts with the Russian ambassador.

The filing came in response to a request by The Washington Post, which has asked that the documents be fully unsealed, given that special counsel Robert S. Mueller III has completed his investigation and published a report about his probe of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Prosecutors last week released versions of the documents that were less redacted than those originally filed as U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan prepared to sentence Flynn in December. They acknowledged that the conclusion of the investigation meant some information originally hidden from public view could now be revealed. They continued to shield some information, however, indicating releasing it would intrude on the privacy interests of people who have not been charged with crimes.

“In their filing Tuesday, Flynn’s attorneys wrote they support continuing to keep some information sealed, arguing the redactions are “necessary” and “narrowly-tailored,” in particular to protect the privacy interests of people who submitted letters of support for Flynn in appeals to the judge for leniency in sentencing. They wrote that they took no position on the government’s filings but wanted redactions maintained in documents filed by the defense.”

“Sullivan has ordered that any transcripts that exist of recordings of Flynn’s communications with Russian officials that took place before Donald Trump took office be made public, as well as unredacted versions of portions of Mueller’s report dealing with Flynn. Both are supposed to be filed in court no later than May 31.”

Neither Flynn’s attorneys nor prosecutors have addressed whether they object to those items becoming public.”

    Observations from a smaller branch.

PMI: Purchasing Managers Index. Is a survey of purchasing managers conducted in two forms. Flash before the primary news releases of the month and final. My favorite is flash simply because it precedes government numbers. I think of it as a very good leading indicator as to where we are going economically. It also covers both manufacturing and service industries.

An index reading of 50 or above shows an expanding economy , below 50 shows a contracting economy. Every major country has its version. I follow the trends over a three month period as a rule, monthly blips either way are of less concern. The survey ask about business conditions including employment, new orders, prices, production, inventories and supplier deliveries.

    This is the Flash version.

    March: 52.7

    Services:
    May: 50.9
    April: 55.3
    March: 56.0

Projecting continuation of growth at a slower pace, actual numbers will be interesting expecting better than this but we will see. It will interesting to see the red state blue state differential when the official numbers come out next week. These numbers are somewhat of a surprise after the individual Fed reports last week that showed much higher numbers.

    Comparing Some E.U. Numbers.
    E.U. As a whole:

Five consecutive months of below 50.0 for manufacturing. Seems the Germans have bought in totally on the new service economy. They also updated their first quarter GDP to +0.4% as projected.

    France:
    Manufacturing:
    May: 50.6
    April: 49.7
    March: 49.6

    Services:
    May: 51.7
    April: 50.5
    March: 48.7

the French have stabilized above 50.0 in both areas.

    Huawei: Buh-Bye Suckas!
    23 May 2019

China and Huewei tried to put a brave face on the original blackball listing, but that blew up yesterday with this:

“ARM instructed employees to halt ‘all active contracts, support entitlements, and any pending engagements’ with Huawei and its subsidiaries to comply with a recent US trade clampdown. ARM’s designs form the basis of most mobile device processors worldwide.”

    Oops.

ARM’s “core” technology has US source content all over it and the game’s up for Huawei on this one. Without it while they can produce their existing CPUs the next and forward versions will be impossible to engineer.

I’m sure China will simply rip off whatever they want to use, but the impact of that beyond China will be severe if they do it, assuming there’s a desire to enforce, and it appears there is.

I think it’s fair to assume that at the present time Huawei is flat-out blocked both on handsets and embedded processors that are all over their carrier equipment. Since this gear, like nearly all telco and related gear turns over every 12-18 months in terms of generations in the first place this effectively takes Huawei out of the market for anything beyond China.

    Huawei recognizes the problem…

“We value our close relationships with our partners, but recognise the pressure some of them are under, as a result of politically motivated decisions,” it said. ‘We are confident this regrettable situation can be resolved and our priority remains to continue to deliver world-class technology and products to our customers around the world.'”

I’m confident that Huawei can go fornicate with a goat.

The facts are that despite China being claimed as “full of innovators” when it comes to high tech — particularly semiconductors — it’s bull****. They have no ability to do the design work — none whatsoever. They never developed it because they never needed to; they simply stole whatever they wanted.

My view on this is pretty simple: It’s about damned time.

How come there is not a big news outrage about DIFI meeting with the person who was here from IRAN at the beginning of summer It has been reported that she had dinner with this person and nothing was taken down about what the meeting was about so please tell me why not,?
Why is this meeting being covered up and maybe this is the meeting that Demented Polosi is talking about,? Sad, but the house has just had two meetings with the losers who got fired and both of these losers are nothing but back stabbing two faced idiots Brennon has no reason to give any speech on Capital hill at this time on IRAN He does not know anything about what is really going on and as for Tillerson he is nothing but a sore loser He talked badly about the President before he got fired and he has not been very kind since leaving the white house but all of these people who the establishement wanted the President to hire in the beginning has proven to be just more rotten apples

Nancy et al theatrics. They keep upping the shrillness. Their internal polling must be atrocious. Shrillness might be just to keep their base from not sitting out. They aren’t making inroads into new folks. I bet Trump is though.

PDJT should stop referring to the Dems as Dems. Call them Communists and Socialists, always. Keep pounding that into voters’ heads. Completely replace the term Democrat.

While I’m excited for the “declassification” because it’s been hyped up more than any other dud we have experienced in the last 2 year, my expectations are extremely low. If I had to guess, there will be a couple of demotions and some random FBI agent fired and we will be forced fed the idea that we have “achieved equal justice” and that the FBI and DoJ are fixed. So frustrating.

“James Comeys story has already changed multiple times, and within days, you’ll see it change yet again. It’ll go from “the FBI didn’t spy or wiretap” to “FBI didn’t break the law while we taped & wiretapped”.

“The sham investigation of POTUS ran wild. He Knew. He allowed it.”

China is spooked! First attack Bannon, now Trish Regan? They won’t dare go after Lou Dobbs! Trump watches him for sure!

This is amazing. China is praying for anybody but Trump in 2020. Trump is ruining their picture perfect plans for world domination at our expense! He’s a brought a giant pin for that bubble they’ve been inflating these past 20 years. If they’re not careful instead of letting them gradually deflate that bubble in a trade deal, Trump may have to prick that bubble with tariffs if they keep their belligerence!

  46. Sundance,

I realize that you are busier than a one-legged Indian in a butt kicking contest. But, how can you ignore the Virginia Follies story any longer, especially in light of the preposterous “inconclusive” investigation into the Coonman yearbook photo. /thefederalist.com/2019/05/23/ralph-northam-thinks-voters-are-gullible-fools/.

Shouldn’t you channel your inner suspicious cat?

On thing I noticed is that the MSM is conflicted about this story dying. Cuomo thinks it would be good if this story went away. Yet, the MSM especially the NYT and the WAPO keep bringing the story back because, in my opinion, they hate that Northam didn’t take their advice and resign or listen to the presidential candidates and party bosses and advise same.

Don’t you have some tounge and cheek kind of take on this story for oldtime’s sake..
