I know many treepers will hold a negative opinion re Australia’s Alexander Downer at the moment but you’ll be pleased to hear we’ve just pulled off a massive conservative victory in our federal election today against all the polling and best efforts of MSM to have it otherwise. It’s my birthday today and I couldn’t be happier.

So, I’m reading a book about “Lincoln and his Admirals” in which the author describes a visit by Old Abe to Fort Monroe in May 1862 ostensibly to prod George McClellan into somewhat more aggressive action. Whilst there, he reviewed the ships of the Union Navy and inquired why his military had not attacked Norfolk across the mouth of the James River. When his leaders could not provide a sound answer, he prodded them to invade with 5000 troops, which they did. The subsequent successful landing forced Confederate troops to abandon the city and blow up the ironclad Virginia lest it be captured.

As Lincoln prepared to return to DC with his staff, the Secretary of the Treasury (Salmon P. Chase) wrote home: “so has ended a brilliant week’s campaign of the President.” The newspaper reporter for the Washington Star wrote that “the sailors all unite in saying he is ‘a trump’”! BWAHHH! Who would have known there was “a trump” in the White House before this one? Furthermore, the reporter wrote that the sailors “also express the opinion that the success of the movement is due to the energy infused into it by ‘Uncle Abe.’” And so it goes for the current movement of Deplorables who are energized by this President. MAGA y’all!

I have been thinking about President Lincoln for awhile.

The shots at Fort Sumter are said to have propelled us into a four year nightmare, tearing families, states, communities apart in the most brutal way imaginable, resulting in the loss of approximately 600,000 lives, and the devastation of the south.

This propellant took place at a time when the Constitution was understood to have allowed for the Secession of States – the understanding of the States which had been persuaded thus far to join the Union – and during which time the peaceful Secession was being negotiated, with the common expectation that it would result in a bloodless “Velvet Divorce” not dissimilar to the Czech Republic/Slovakian separation in the early 90s. The very uncivil Civil War divided the country and destroyed States’ Rights, thereby changing our form of government forever.

      * I just don’t believe that President Trump would have let this aberrant shooting shove the whole country into this seemingly inevitable quagmire. *

My husband and I toured Gettysburg last fall, and it became clear that after 150 years the whole town is still imprinted with the great loss with which the name of their town has become synonymous.

In 1861 the country was still quite young, still trying to find its footing in the world, and was full of raw emotions, expressed with little restraint, both in inflammatory newspapers and on soapboxes wherever impassioned advocates could attract an audience.

There was an inevitability that the nation, founded at the point of a gun against a tyrant who exhibited no restraint in killing those who would oppose him, would once again take up arms against perceived enemies of their national designs. I don’t think we can project PDJT’s sense of restraint onto the situation as it existed 150 years ago.

In fact an 1861 version of President Trump may well have accelerated a quick Civil War by having strategized a winning strategy before the first shot was ever fired. IMO.

I agree. Always told Lincoln was a great president, but he killed his own people. Diplomacy? The south could have destroyed DC from the get go, but didn’t., probably expecting the north to allow secession. Wrong. Lincoln didn’t care much about the slaves. Just power from what I see. I’m all for a United country, but from my vantage point 170 years removed, it looks suspicious to praise Lincoln. I’m sure I’ll get clobbered here, but so be it. I can see why the south would be bitter and I’m a northerner.

Good for you! It takes courage to say your mind.

The civil war was very complicated. Neither side was was entirely right or entirely wrong. Slavery had to be addressed though….actually slavery had been addressed by early 1800’s but south ignored the results….quite within their sovereign rights…but the south pushed too far when they tried to force northern states to return escaped slaves or be punished. But equally abhorrent for the north and the central government to disallow the south from secession.

Some of the exact same stuff is going on now…with perhaps the same inevitable results. Many states are being told what to do by an unconstitutional central government. We are actually 50 countries that contracted a central entity to unite us in trade and foreign affairs…but now we have a central government that robs us of our property, enslaves us with debt, disregards our privacy, and ignores our natural rights.

I hope you keep posting Tony Clarke….your comments are important. 🙂

Demons can possess a human’s body, but not the soul. However, it can only possess a non-Christian. The Holy Spirit indwells the Christian and Satan and his demons cannot live in the same place that the Holy Spirit lives. But this should also be a warning to people when we see people who call themselves Christians become demon-possessed. If a demon possesses them, then they are not true Christians. But Jesus warned that most who will think they are His followers really are not and that on judgment day when they claim to be Christians, He will send them away. That’s also why the Bible warns that we are to examine our faith and make sure it is a true faith and not a false faith. Jesus said the way to heaven is narrow and only a few will find it.

Dan is starting to conclude that Steele was duped by Halper AND Russian Intel (disinfo campaign against Trump)and since FBI rated Steele they also were duped.
      I don’t buy it.
Brennan(via Mifsud ….Strozks OCCUNUS lures) made moves against Trump campaign way before Steele was hired by FGPS.
The CIA/DNC/FBI were moving against Trump independently of Steele.
Steele came in late just to put the icing on their already oven baked cake.

Hat Tips to Dan B , Sundance , et al . Their digging and perseverence is fantastic and vital and has helped all understand what really happened here.
This is a media war …and our guys have been heroic.

I am with DB on one thing…is BIG QUESTION is > Why is the MSM totally ignoring this major major story , especially now that the evidence for Treason seems to be compelling?

Democrat Party ownership of the MSM + Social Media is a major threat to US democracy.

we all rely on the media for truth and accurate reporting but it is clear that these needs are not being met by our so called free press.

Apart from CIA actions etc. this is what I find most disturbing and dangerous to the Republic.

Behold! Jim Jordan and John Ratcliffe might put Bob Mueller on the spot if he testifies.

    https://thehill.com/policy/national-security/444354-mueller-mystery-will-he-ever-testify-to-congress

“He doesn’t want to be trashed by the Republicans,” said Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), who serves on the Intelligence Committee and is close to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a fellow California Democrat.

“Does anyone want their reputation dragged through the mud falsely? You’ve seen Jim Jordan [R-Ohio] in action. He can handle his own, but they’ll ask questions like, ‘Why didn’t you look at this and why didn’t you look at that?’ I mean, talk about a thankless job.”

Yes, Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), Jim Jordan might actually ask pertinent questions about the Weissman/Mueller report that makes Bob Mueller particularly uncomfortable. Can you imagine the gall of that man? Unbelievable.

Nobody said this Whitewash-Coverup attempt would be easy, Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.).

As for me: holding out hope that Bill Barr INSIST that Bob Mueller testify in front of Jim Jordan and John Ratcliffe. *quadruple crossies emoji*

      3) Gen. Vladimir I. Trubnikov
      4) Richard Dearlove
      5) Dennis Montgomery

And while they have him under oath I’d ask about his knowledge of any illegal spying on Americans either via the Hammer or via 3rd party contractors that the FBI may have allowed access to the NSA database.

I’d also ask him about his role in Uranium One.

If he comes IMO they need to get as much as possible under oath and on the record.

What are your personal feelings toward President Trump? How was it you did not consider your personal animus from a prior encounter in New York to constitute a conflict?

Do you believe the SC was non-partisan? Was the fact that all members of the SC were Clinton supporters, donors, etc., intentional?

Were you involved in any of the pre- SC entrapment efforts of the Trump campaign members by the Intelligence Community? Were you aware of these proven Entrapment efforts? If not, why did the SC not discover them in its massive research into the 2016 campaign? Was there an agreement at the SC to overlook and/bury exculpatory material?

        Speaking of Mueller…

I think the interview for the FBI job always was a cover story. Rosenstein and Mueller both knew the impossibility of Mueller being FBI Dir. yet the interview charade afforded the opportunity to plant a listening device (ie Mueller’s cell phone [was it specialized in some way? was it actually his personally, or did the FBI or CIA provide it or instrument it?]).

They both knew appointing Mueller as SC presented conflicts, so why was it done?

Rosenstein and Mueller are both in a vise. They either admit the ulterior motives behind the sham interview or admit the SC appointment was revenge. I think Rosenstein has the most culpability of the two. Squeeze them both.

Every metric can be, and will be gamed. Figuring out how to pass tests becomes the primary ingredient in getting an education. Learning the subject matter is an optional bonus.

I have heard Europeans complain because they have to pass comprehensive tests, while Americans get to forget everything earlier.

And the people the Chinese send over have mastered test taking beyond compare. But most have never learned how to apply the information they used to pass those tests.

So, is this biasing of tests disappointing? Absolutely. Is it harmful? Yes. But you already have to worry if your Doctor was just good at test taking, if he has forgotten everything he was taught, or if she can actually use that knowledge to help you.

Two that I know of have ACT scores of 35, 4.0 GPAs, are good athletes, are very respectful kids from parents who are engineers and doctors, and these two are having a tough time getting into the colleges of their choice. If they were of Hispanic or of African decent, they would be getting full rides to any university in the country.

So the American middle class who, if Jared has his way, will be competing against highly skilled, educated minorities from Asia and will now will be competing against a magical, manipulated diversity rating?

Here are some strategies that I’ve come up with in about two minutes for affluent, functional families to game this:

      1) Right before the kid’s Senior year of high school, the parents get a quick no-contest divorce with no-contest custody for the parent who has the lower income. There are probably adversity points for ‘single mom’ already, but in addition to that the kid can be listed as residing with the parent who has the lower income. Boom, family income cut by more than half. Then after college acceptances come out mom and dad can go down to the courthouse and get remarried.

      2) If the kid attends a magnet school in a sizable district, family rents out the cheapest apartment in the worst neighborhood within the district for senior year. That address is listed as the student’s home address. The family only needs to actually go there (or pay someone to go there) a few times in the whole year, just to pick up the mail, which will probably consist primarily of acceptance letters, and financial aid offers more than sufficient to offset the cost of renting the apartment for one year. A variant of this that would be even cheaper would be to pay a locally residing family $50 a month or something to just get the mail and put acceptance letters and the occasional mail from the high school aside, with the promise that if they faithfully did it they would be recommended to another affluent family for the following year.

      3) Parents’ educational attainment is probably a negative adversity factor. Dad has a PhD in computer science? No problem. Right before Senior year of high school mom sends kid a certified mail letter stating that she has been withholding a horrible secret from him all these years and junior’s real biological dad is a drug dealer she had a brief fling with. The kid is just going with the best official information he has when he lists his father as being a deceased drug dealer with not even a high school diploma. But somehow after acceptances roll in PhD dad has determined to ‘man up’ and stay with the family, and he’s there grinning when junior graduates with a 4.0 average BS in comp sci paid for with a full ride.

This is how people game the benefits game. It’s like family knowledge passed on through generations.

One couple was turned in to the Food Stamp office for living together, so we did an investigation. Dad said it was none of our business whether he was reunited with his wife and that he dropped in to see the kids. Spent the night when he wanted. Because they are not legally separated, no child support was forthcoming except what he voluntarily paid, so mom applied for Medicaid only so Attorney General child support division wouldn’t pursue him for monetary support.

Once certified, Medicaid cases are never denied. At six months, you will get a recertification letter.

So the family benefits from about $200 per person food stamps, housing that is more than likely free, and free medical. For any medical issue the mom may have, she qualifies for medical care because there are kids in the home on Medicaid.

And dear old dad benefits from this scam with zero responsibility. And the state is off the hook because if never reported, it doesn’t even question the situation. Any “investigation” would defer to the absent spouse’s testimony.

The scam goes on for decades, with the family benefiting every month while dad keeps all his earnings, drives a new truck, and the family can even put together a down payment on a house.

This is the normal course of events in America. I didn’t see any white Americans with the temerity to try this, but illegals and POC had no problem ever.

Plus the mom has all her children labelled learning disabled. and collects Social Security Supplemental Income ( SSI ) for each child.
Most SSI recipients receive between $800 and $1,800 per month (the average for 2019 is $1,234)
The SSI is a lifetime benefit.

This is my take on what you have said. First and foremost you can blame the government for causing/allowing the healthcare cost to skyrocket and as Sundance has rightly pointed out the food cost. Then government turns around and puts the cost back on the taxpayer. Game the system, Hell the system games all of us everyday. Back in 2006 -2009 when the housing market came crashing down good old government allowed the banking/mortgage companies to go in and foreclose on people they had cheated in the first place. So the condo/home you paid $175000 for…. similar units were being sold for $60000 on courthouse steps. Meanwhile government was telling everyone it was immoral not to keep making those payments on $175000. The right thing to do would have been shared loss by decreasing the principle amount owed then everyone would stop defaulting. The whole darn system of big government big bank/corporate American is rigged against the American Middle Class. So the short of it is I guess I just can’t get that mad at people that game the system. Unless we stand up and demand accountability demand Justice things will continue to go downhill until we are destroyed.

  20. Now that the “Fat Lady” is stretching out her vocal cords, and the Bob Mueller phase of “Russia-gate” is transitioning to the “Bull Durham” phase aka “Spy-gate,” it’s good to have had a three year primer/internship on the code of jurisprudence in the globalists’ new world order, as so aptly taught by the Corporate Media, “Cultural Influencers,” social Media, academia, the Deep State, our betters, the Illuminati, leftists and other liberals. (As for me, I was pleased and proud to have grown up under a code, now despised, that I believed was the crown jewel of the world and history—as were the people charged with safe-guarding it.). If I’ve learned my lessons well, those new legal codes to which those needing to be investigated will be held include:

-the seriousness of the charge, not the presence of evidence (or an actual crime defined in the USC), will determine the need, depth, length, and vigor of the investigation (recommend starting with 3 years, 19 hand-picked lawyers, 40 similarly selected investigating agents-military.-and an unlimited budget (beginning bank balance $35M)
-the identity of the suspect will determine the nature of the crime investigated
-objections by the Co-equal branches of government will serve as prima fasciae evidence of criminal wrong doing and obstruction of justice
-presumption of guilt will be the starting point if…no when,,,the case goes to trial
-the burden of proof lies with the charged to demonstrate beyond any doubt that he/she should be exonerated
-because the truly Innocent have nothing to fear, those individuals suspected of guilt (Ala Brett Kavanaugh) should not only welcome but also invite investigations of themselves. (It goes without saying that those being investigated should not be employed on the public’s behalf understanding that public service is a privilege and therefore “unworthy applicants” should not expect due process during the job interview
-Mr. Barr, Mr. Durham, and those carrying out the investigation are noble servant-heroes beyond reproach. Congress should immediate pass the “People’s Justice Protection Act protecting Barr and Durham from all criticism and attempts by lawmakers to hinder, defame, or dismiss them from conducting their holy charge.
-media organizations that criticize the investigation will immediately be placed on the SPLC haters list
-celebrities and other private citizens who criticize the investigation should be immediately be deplatformed from all social media platforms without explanation, right of appeal, or other remedy
-4th Amendment rights for those suspected will be suspended
-solitary confinement pending trial is authorized
-immunity (even perjury in testifying against a senior suspect) will be granted to any and all who are willing to testify against suspects more senior than themselves
-exculpatory evidence or any evidence not supporting the prosecution is to be destroyed immediately
-when specific criminal codes are incompatible with the contemptible nature of the suspect, he/she should be charged with collusion, conspiracy to defraud the federal government, or treason.
-the suspect’s wife and children are subject to investigation
-all prior personal records of suspects should be immediately submitted to investigators. (The same may be true for uncooperative members of Congress).
-confessions in lieu of records will be considered on a case-by- case basis

I’ve learned so much that my brain and writhing hand is/are getting tired. Help me out. What am I forgetting?

HUD Launches EnVision Centers In An Effort To Boost Self-Sufficiency

    UPDATED 12:56 PM PT — Friday, May 17, 2019

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) aims to ensure Americans are given access to safe, fair, and affordable housing. Under the direction of the Trump administration, the department has launched a new initiative, which it hopes will open doors of opportunity for families receiving assistance. The goal is for families to become independent, while fulfilling their potential on a path forward.

“The Trump administration has notified more than 500,000 employers that some of their employees’ names do not match their reported Social Security numbers in a new move to crack down on illegal aliens….”

I’m wondering what Netflix is going to do about the fact that one of their employees (an apparent illegal alien with a fraudulent birth certificate) gave them a stolen social security number. INS’s opinion contains a reminder that “[k]nowing false statements on the Form I-9, or the use of false documents to obtain employment, are felonies that are not excused by subsequent grants of work authorization or lawful status.” This ex-federal employee who now works for Netflix has been using the stolen social security number 042-68-4425. It was originally issued in Connecticut to Harrison Bounel, who was born in 1890. Mr. Bounel died in the 1970’s. This employee also used Harrison Bounel’s social security number on his 2009 IRS return. Investigator Linda Jordan found that this ex-federal employee’s use of the social security number 042-68-4425 fails the federal government’s E-Verify check and the Social Security Number Verification System (SSNVS) checks, yet the feds took no action except a cover up. I wonder if this ex-federal employee might be prosecuted by the Trump administration for violations of 18 U.S.C. §§ 912, 1001, 1003, 1017, 1028, and 1031 et al,, or if he might self deport and return to Kenya.

7 Reasons Why the Uranium One Scandal Won’t Go Away

Except, it pretty much already has gone away.

Using your government position to approve Russia buying the Canadian company that owns much of the U.S. mining rights to Uranium, while collecting 145 M$ from the Canadian owners for your Foundation that you are using to benefit yourself and keep your political organization intact, while your husband is being paid 0.5 M$ by the Russians for one speech.

Meanwhile, the government already has a whistleblower in the same Russian company because it is trying to take over the U.S. Uranium industry and associated companies using blackmail and bribery. But this investigation, which started before the Uranium One purchase, was put on hold until after the payments for Uranium One were completed, and only afterwards were the crooks prosecuted. And somehow, the crooks deciding to allow this purchase were never informed about the ongoing investigation.

Nothing to see here, move along, it’s old news, SOL, and of course, stop your political harrassment and abuse of prosecutorial powers. All of course with no acknowledgement of their prosecutorial abuse to harass us.

      • Jim in TN says:

Silly me, I forgot the part where all the communications were being hid on a private server instead of the proper government email accounts. And that when the private communications were discovered, that half were destroyed because they were ‘private’.

And, of course, the ‘quid’, Uranium one purchase, the ‘quo’, bribes to the Clinton foundation and her husband, and the ‘pro’, the illegal email server and its contents, were all separate investigations.

Nope, no quid pro quo to be seen here. And there was no intent to break the law. And no prosecutor would ever prosecute this.

Those that don’t slide in some left leaning junk now and then do slide in Globalist talking points and feature RINOs to give the Uniparty, seemingly “middle of the road” spin. Daily Mail is slated as “conservative” but is full of junk, spin and fully left of center.

Guess the placement on the political spectrum depends on to what the network/newspaper/web site is being compared v. actual content.

The issues is that some watchers/readers think they are 100% conservative and its their left leaning/slight left of center output that is most dangerous. Truth just slightly twisted is still perverted and works against MAGA.

I still look through sites that include RINO/Uniparty contributors (ex: National Review) but I do it being thoroughly red pilled.

But, yes, Fox keeps enough actual conservative content to keep us coming back.

Have you ever wondered if the Soviet propagandists were upset that the NAZI propagandists were getting credit for the Soviet inventions? Or were they mad that the NAZIs were spilling the beans? And doing so effectively to boot?

Either way, the Soviets obviously used it to blame their inventions on the NAZIs. Didn’t work though. What was that Russian joke about the newspaper labeled Truth, ‘Pravda’?

Except it did seem to work on western idiots.

This is the Philadelphia crowd pic for Biden’s kick off. Does Biden have black support in Philadelphia, or not?

Honestly, I think Biden is going to be an even worse candidate than Hillary was (at the end of the day).
