Jobs, Jobs, Jobs – Auto Supplier Expands in Michigan Adding 440 Jobs…

The U.S. manufacturing economy continues to expand and thrive amid President Trump policies targeted to benefit middle-class workers.  As an outcome of continued growth another report today shows historic growth in income and home ownership for American workers of Hispanic descent.  Additionally, with targeted trade and tariff policy focused on strengthening the U.S. auto sector the ancillary benefits are surfacing.

A strong and vibrant middle-class is the key to a balanced economy, and thanks to America-First policies the U.S. economy continues to expand.  An example of mid-sized expansion is in this latest article from Michigan where 400+ auto-sector jobs are gained.

MICHIGAN – A German auto supplier is expanding its operations in Michigan with a new manufacturing facility in Plymouth Township.

The Michigan Economic Development Corp.’s governing body approved Tuesday a $2.7 million performance-based grant to Webasto Roof Systems Inc., a subsidiary of the Webasto Group, a sunroof, convertible top and heating systems manufacturer.

The company plans to invest nearly $48 million into the new building near Schoolcraft and Haggerty Road to create 441 new jobs after obtaining several contracts from Ford Motor Co. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV. (read more)

One thing’s for sure. President Trump won’t have to compete with 17 other candidates in the Republican Primary this time. Only a few braindead Republicans would dare to challenge him for the nomination. It’ll be a total waste of time and money and they all know it. But, it will undoubtedly prove to be entertaining once again for us.

          Yup.
The Republicons in the Uniparty are the most threatened by DJT in the Oval office.
The goal of the Uniparty is to get him OUT of there, in 2020.
WHO replaces him, not that important, as they can assure whoever it is will BE Uniparty, regardless the letter next to their name.
I am really, starting to think the Dems will run Bernie, and then Repubs will present a moderate, centrist candidate.

So those ‘turned off’by DJT’s “brash manner” and tweeting, but uninterested in socialism/conmunism of Bernie, will have an alternative.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all, if despite the difficulties put in place (after Perot) to prevent third parties from registering, national for Presidential elections, that a “new party” emerges, to try and draw votes away from DJT, that would never go to Bernie.

Like Arpaio in Az. drew votes away from kelli ward, a splitter.

The Uniparty really wouldn’t care if Bernie got it, or the “Centerist Republi an”, their goal is “anyone (Uniparty) but Trump!”

I was one of those AZ voters who was faced with that choice of Sheriff Joe or Dr. Ward. He’s such a lightning rod, but I had to vote which one would be better at taking on Sinema, the ‘moderate-except-when-it-comes-to-killing-babies’ democrat. I was very torn by the decision, and don’t hate me, but I ended up voting for Sheriff Joe. His experience in busting international crime syndicates/drug traffickers/human traffickers and encyclopedic knowledge of immigration law issues he just honestly had the kind of experience I would want in a Senator representing this state and hopefully writing Immigration Reform legislation. Plus, like President Trump, he’s outspoken so I feel like I can trust him. So I had to just follow my conscience, vote for whom I thought was the best candidate, and let the cards fall where they may.

Isn’t it amazing (shamefully really) how that these people, including and especially Uniparty Reps, who say they are for Americans and are working for the best interests of the American people, hate PDJT soooo much that they are willing to completely look away from all the things his policies have actually, in the real world, accomplished in behalf of the overall best interests of Americans?! The record speaks for itself and no lies from the rest can begin to refute or dispute it.

Hatred and bitter anger have bred the disease of insanity and political dementia in their minds and hearts. There is no helping or reaching out to these people. The have left the room of reason, truth and sane governing. They are gone.

I didn’t vote for Trump’s personality or mannerisms. I voted for substance and rejected all other peripheral presentations.

Peace and have a great evening. Will be posting a little commentary later in the new Presidential threat early am morning coming up.

PDJT can’t politically fire Wray, till after reelection, but doesn’t have to. Just work with those just underneath him, who do the real work, anyway. I suspect that is what Barr is doing, I know I would.

But no, we have an enemy of the people, fake news “media” populated with globalist and democrat party operatives who spew their masters propaganda and lies. Deception and hiding the truth is their only job

And take a look at the democrat party, a party that fights against everything that’s good for America and we the people

Trump champions a secure country, jobs, economic growth, upward mobility and better lives for all, while the democrats champion illegal aliens, open borders, socialism, higher crime, higher taxes, lost jobs and wages, every sexual perversion in the book, etc.

@Dutchman, the problem of course is Money-Money-Money. POTUS can do what he does because he has his own Money. He is not bought by the Treasonous Corporate Cronies [of both parties] that have sold out the US since Ronnie left office. [Actually I have a hunch that Hinckley’s assassination attempt against Ronnie was their try to get rid of him and replace with GHWB… and failing that, to “Send The Message” to Ron to cool it. He still succeeded in many areas, but was less effective than we all hoped he would be. I would not be surprised if “someone” really tries to assassinate POTUS.] Even if POTUS survives his term (and a 2nd one), unless he truly does miraculously #DrainTheSwamp against all resistance once he leaves office, the SWAMP will take over again. We can agree that VPOTUS Pence is a decent guy, but he does not have either the personality or the Money that POTUS Trump has. I fear that we are only enjoying a brief respite until the SWAMP takes control again.

I agree. Our constitution, and the separation of powers, was a great document for setting up a great government. The flaw in the deal was the lobbyist money that no one would have considered in the 1700’s. But as lobbyist money grew, the Congress that was benefiting financially was not about to vote to change this. How dare a Congressman try to live in DC on only $170,000 per year. Feinstein has a net worth over $70,000,000 and off a salary of 170,000.

Something I just don’t understand … on one hand we appear to be having great economic news. On the other hand, PURE SOCIALISTS are extremely popular. How can they both be possible at the same time??

This is happening all over the West and other advanced economies for two specific and unavoidable reasons IMHO.
First, young people are genetically predisposed to socialism (read re-distribution) because that’s what they’ve known all their short lives.
Mom/dad earn, then redistribute to the kids who don’t earn. So when a socialist like old Bernie spouts nonsense like free this or free that, paid for by the rich, the young mind sees that as plausible and desirable.
Modern social media allows these youngsters to have a louder voice.

Second, we now have many many more women in positions of power and authority. WOMEN ARE ALSO GENETICALLY PREDISPOSED TO REDISTRIBUTION.
Since the dawn of Man, women have stayed around the home (cave), maybe did a little part-time work (gathering nuts, roots and berries) looked after the kids and waited for the man to bring home the bacon and redistribute it.
Note that the strongest proponents of extreme socialism are YOUNG WOMEN.

We are in the midst of a historic social experiment, that of having vast numbers of women in positions of power and authority. We all hope this experiment turns out ok for our societies, but none of us know how it will turn out.

Let’s see if this continues after the laxt shovel of dirt is packed on the ITIN program’s grave.

If Romney and Kasich run, it’s a sign that Trump’s fundraising is going far, far better than expected. Mittens and the son-of-a-mailman would be deployed to require Trump to expand some resources to win every primary.

I’m very happy that Webasto is creating +400 jobs a few miles from my home here in SE Michigan. But just to be the fly in the ointment, the MEDC that provided the grant to Webasto is a long-running corporate welfare program here in Michigan that the Uniparty uses to shake down corporations for campaign cash, while simultaneously bleating about all the jobs the Uniparty has “created”. Granholm used to give MEDC cash away to Hollywood, and claimed Michigan was going to become the New Hollywood and make movies and all, but when people got wise to that scam and cut the cashflow spigot off, Hollywood vamoosed out of this state like the roadrunner. They were only here for the free money. That’s not MAGA.

I believe Webasto would be here no matter what levels of corporate welfare MEDC provides. Tier I suppliers need to be here close to vehicle product development. However, what I would like to see is Webasto and other makers to build outstate, into struggling outstate communities who could use the jobs, and not just in suburban Detroit. Those Deplorables in mid and upper Michigan could use the work. If you’re going to provide corporate welfare, it should be spread around fairly.

And by the way, this goes for outstate NY, PA, OH, IL, WI, IN and the other states that have seen a collapse in their rural industrial economy over the past 20 years. Some of these rural communities have been devastated. You can turn that around with these little 50-500 job plants if you work at it. The Uniparty won’t like that, but everybody else will.

One reason PDJT wants to appoint “practical” people to the Federal Reserve is to avoid the conventional blowout spending and easy money during democrat administrations, followed by contraction and higher interest rates during republican and less profligate administrations.
The Dems want a Federal Reserve that raises interest rates to stop the economy, so PDJT is defeated in 2020. So do the “never Trump” republicans, to get rid of PDJT. The Senate-Republican-forces-of-evil have already gotten rid of Herman Cain, who is a practical businessman.

Little Rock, Arkansas got some good news today as well! For a relatively poor economy,
this is great news! Actual jobs from an established company.

From a local news article (https://m.arktimes.com/ArkansasBlog/archives/2019/04/23/czech-firearms-maker-to-build-factory-at-little-rock-port):

A Czech firearms maker announced plans today to build a factory at the Little Rock Port that is expected to employ 565 people in six years.

An Arkansas Economic Development Commission news release said CZ-USA, a subsidiary of Česká zbrojovka a.s. Uherský Brod (CZUB), will make Little Rock its headquarters and invest $90 million in the plant.

…The company is taking job applications here. At the news conference, officials said jobs would pay $22 an hour and up.

Watch the other hand. Webasto has multiple operations in the Detroit area, and this could turn out to be a shuffle with no change in total employment, leaving behind their obsolete facility and moving into a new one, with no change in employee numbers. We wouldn’t know until years after the fact (and after the next election). See the end of the Detroit News article, about the Michigan Strategic Fund scam. The MEDC is a related corporate welfare program.

Yea our economy is smoking but we got a Granholm clone in the Governors mansion now who wants to raise gas taxes 47%, ostensibly for infrastructure but more likely to line the pockets of the union cronies who got her elected. We wont be smokin for long with this Granholm acolyte in office. She will tax the spirit right out of our economy.

As an aside, my hatred of the unions runs deep and clear. I am a contractor here in SE Michigan and during the crash around 2008 or 2009, I was building a 4 story mini storage facility on Mack just south of Moross. I was using mostly non union contractors and when it came time to pour the concrete on the 132k sq foot first deck, I hired an out of work union guy to run the laser screed. The BAs got wind of it and I had most of the top union brass in the city come out and threaten the guys pension if he worked on the job. He had been out of work for months and was just trying to make ends meet. F the unions. They are exactly like the Clintons – pay to play.

And dont get me started on Slutkin. John James woulda been perfect.
