Rick, I second this. All I can say about Coulter is a) I don’t bother reading her stuff anymore and b) She has joined the crowd of antiTrumpsters (Kristol, Hayes, Griffin, etc) who take a swing at VSGPDJT and end up smacking themselves in the nose.

Regarding the video. Every Democrat in the audience (including Mitt Romney who only plays a Republican when he wants to be elected to some office) looks like s/he just had a persimmon enema.

But she’s correct this time. The bill he signed today, while not only full of pork, has multiple loopholes which are practically amnesty 2.0.

What’s his end goal with that? Legitimately want to know.

And I’m not lawyer, but the multiple provisions in there that limit where he can build wall – and even allows mayors of border towns to dismiss wall building.

I just don’t see how this was a win. McConnell and Pelosi played him. McConnell probably told him he’d support the Natl Emergency, while Pelosi said she’d drop impeachment, so long as he signs. Fail.

Yes this bill sucks, but Colter has been attacking ALMOST EVERY action by DJT since he was inaugurated. He’s fighting a huge swamp and has precious few allies in DC. The vast majority of Trump actions (Which she attacked) have turned out to be massive successes.
Trump forced McConnell to announce on the floor of the senate his support for the emergency order BEFORE he said he would sign the deal. President Trump is wise to their tricks and has shown himself rock solid against the swamp for the last two years. Looking at the last two years if the president says this is what is going to keep this train rolling, I for one am going to believe him rather than the hand-wringing naysayers (i.e. Colter and Co.) and the never trumpers.

It was a necessary evil which is overridden by the fact that we get the wall (and they can’t argue it could have been done by other means.

Challenging your opinion in an aggressive manner with facts is not “shutting down intellectually honest conversation.” Man up and present some facts C-punk. Instead you curl up in the fetal position and demand anyone who challenges you be silenced.

Shame on you Conservative Treehouse. I can see the point of shutting down trolls. But you also ban people who offend the intellectual snowflakes who frequent this site for no other reason than to masturbate their brains in public.

Thank you for your service. That said, I would disagree with offensive speech being the whole point of the first amendment, unless you mean that, even the most offensive speech is protected. Offensive isn’t a means to an end. Offensive is meant to incite people, and although protected, is counter productive. Everyone beware, the whole point of the left/uniparty right now is to discourage us, divide us, and bring the president’s approval numbers down. If posters don’t understand that, they should keep quiet and learn first. If they just need to vent a little, then they should say so. People will understand.

What would we do in his shoes?….so we know the bill is crap and so does he.

          1) We don’t sign it and the Government shuts down. Trump gets slammed once again.
The media blasts nightly news shows with Americans who are so fiscally upside down that they can’t pay their bills because they don’t have more than 2 weeks of money on hand because of the shutdown. Not slamming them…just the facts at hand. So, they cry and the media sings their tune and the Dems gleefully say, “how can the President be so mean and irresponsible to have a 2nd shutdown..” Remember, they said Wilbur Ross was “out of touch” because he said, “they can get a loan”. Countless AMERICANS over many decades have lost their jobs, been idled or watched less qualified, affirmative action folks take their jobs by these Globalist cretins and no one seems to say much?

          2) We sign it knowing its crap, but at least there is no shutdown and the Dems cannot scream about the 800,000 Govt workers not getting paid. We try to show compassion for them but the Dems still insult us and only offer $1.3B with 1,000 pages of bullshit that no one really has read other than the lobbyists that wrote it. We know the Dems will continue to obstruct our effort in order to keep open borders so their puppet masters can continue to line their coffers by securing cheap, illegal labor and those who want to keep power can seek new non-citizen voters….from Latin America and elsewhere.

          3) Also, by signing we could declare a National Emergency…which more than 60% of the country would probably agree with and (if it were Obama, no one would say squat) and we could start directing discretional and other funds to our effort to BUILD & FINISH a successful barrier to curb illegal entry in the US by those willing to disregard our laws and harm us. Of course, we know that the nutty 9th Circuit will accept a looney lawsuit from either Dems or an action group just to cause the President grief all the way to the Supreme Court. Which he will win.

          4) We do nothing and close our eyes to a real problem…in regard to sovereignty, borders, culture and we allow an unchecked invasion into our country that may not be an imminent national emergency (like a missile over our head) but over the course of a few more decades, will turn our cities into shit holes, expose our citizens to diseases once again that have long been eradicated, and insure the Dems a voting block that will finish our Constitutional Republic and make Socialism proud.

So, while we continue to hear from the naysayers here, there and everywhere who want to slam the orange-haired Drumpf, what is your solution? I got it……DO NOTHING, KEEP OPEN BORDERS, GIVE EVERYONE A FREE PASS, LET LEGAL, LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS PAY MORE FOR IT ALL, AND CONTINUE TO BE SO CALLOUS TO THE REAL PROBLEM AT HAND AND HOPE THAT A FRIEND OR LOVED ONE DOESN’T BECOME A VICTIM OF SOME BAD PEOPLE WHO WILL SLIP THROUGH THE CRACKS OF THIS DIVERSITY AND GOOD WILL GESTURE OF LIBERALS. LET IT CONTINUE, UNCHECKED FOR SEVERAL MORE DECADES SO THE ENTIRE INFRASTRUCTURE GOES BELLY UP….YEP, MAKES SENSE TO ME….I heard them slamming about the $22T deficit, hitting the President because he isn’t doing enough to address it….where’s the money coming from??? Spare me the patronage from the media hounds.

Maybe the real answer is there will never be a solution to our border problem. Keeping our faith may be the only real hope. Perhaps, we will be die before the real shit hits the fan…..
Seems like the best solution the Libs can put forward because I’ve heard no other solution from them other than to RESIST all TRUMP.

Mr. President, the problem was here long before you arrived. No one cared and did nothing ever since Teddy Kennedy waved the flag of surrender back in ’65 so our country could lose its borders, language and culture. Sure, the argument can be made that it started long before, after the turn of the 20th Century after the Wild West was tamed by establishing law and order…yet, it seems while that may have been necessary for a civil society to exist in America, our freedoms have been lost bit by bit ever since and will continue to erode because of the obstruction, resistance and politics of people who are committed to the love of money, greed and power, and not the will of the People even after they receive their votes.

          Praise the Lord.

But the demographic numbers won’t lie. I believe he did HAVE to sign this. But that shows how deep into this issue we already are. The government is thoroughly comped and it’s probably too late. Today was a sad day.

C, I sense your concern and we all have a right to our opinion. Look, the President is not a perfect guy. However, I tell people remove the emotion and the personal feelings about the guy and focus on what he’s up against.

92% negative media since Day 1. Are we to believe that he deserves this type of exposure from our media? Wouldn’t a rational mind say there has been a lot of good things that have happened? Tax cuts. Lowering of Corporate tax rate so manufacturing and jobs come back to America. Eliminate wasteful and harmful regulations, eliminated the Obama tax (mandate), Cooled off N. Korea (its a start, better than the warmongers of Bush, Clinton, Obama eras) wants to eliminate senseless wars and bring our Vets home….so much more to say…this is just a tip of the iceberg inside the first two years.

I sensed a different President Trump today in his presser. He looks like in year 3, he’s done kissing asses and trying to get a long. Perhaps, his long ball approach was the best option for him….but as far as all these so called conservatives calling him out….bullshit is all I have to say. What is the alternative? Did you look at who the Dems have? Who can go against the President in the R side of the aisle? He sent 16 thumbsuckers back to their Momma’s in 2016….Look at Romney’s face in this video, does he look like a winner to you?

Stay with the President, convert others…its our only hope. Yet, even so Civil conflict may be inevitable in the near future….but that’s not this man’s fault.

I watched the whole speech today. He was a little downbeat, and very very defensive. I kept yelling at him on the screen to shut up– quit while he was ahead instead of doing his free association. I was hoping he would walk out there and speak with the force and majesty he did during the SOTU speech, and be armed with facts and stats. Instead it was a rather scattered speech, and unlike him, making veiled references to his own disappointment. It made me wonder what had happened before he walked out to make the speech. You know, in terms of policies, accomplishments and leadership, he is probably one of the three best US Presidents (along with Lincoln and Reagan) we have ever had. But this strong and brave man — who, along with his family, has been attacked relentlessly for the last 3 years needs our support. (And screw Ann Coulter, she is a raving bitch.) Let the Democrats do the attacking. We stand firm, and hold our ground. He’s all we’ve got, and there is no one to replace him.

I’m just smiling at all of the Strurm und Drang here in the CTH comments by folks who have obviously been giving FAR too much weight to the leftwing propaganda / disinformation / gaslighting vomit that splashes daily all over the MSM websites and that gushes hourly out of the mouths of leftwing MSM TV news program hosts and guests.

Then these folks come here to CTH and verbally pull their hair out and gnash their teeth over issues that have not yet concluded (they aren’t over until President Trump says they’re over), and about which the MSM has only reported lies and Fake News.

C, I agree with you that the bill is horrible, almost ridiculous in the provisions Congress put into it in order to give Trump money for the wall. But doesn’t it expire in September?
Now the argument has switched to the National Emergency, which we obviously have, and the dems (and Rinos) will have to publicly argue that drug smuggling and unchecked illegal immigrant crossings and child trafficking is not a big deal. And they will be arguing with Trump. And, they are building the wall which would never happen, if we waited on the Washington global jet setters.
Dems probably hoped Trump would veto the bill and close the government, but the way it rolls, Trump wants a wall, I think the story helps Trump make his point better than not taking this deal.
They do not have Trump’s will and spirit. They are just getting paid to screw the country.

It sounds like you are frustrated and upset with the GOPe in Congress. Trump also was upset with the GOPe in Congress for 2 years. Ryan fought Trump on everything and the Turtle in the Senate was fighting Trump too.

I think Trump thought Ryan would be OUT after the mid-terms and we would pick up seats in both the Senate and House. And it looked that way (but votes that went our way on Election Night in California in the HOUSE and else then a week later went to Dems as extra votes showed up for Dems … looks like fraud in some states.

SugarStop, Trump has done a lot of positive things for our Country the last 2 years, and MSM/leftists have fought Trump every step of the way, Jeff Sessions betrayed us, and Wray, etc … and the GOPe Rats hated Trump, just like the Dems because Congress gets money from special interests groups that HATE Trump policies.

Trump has to work with what he has, and behind the scenes is focused on GETTING the JOB Done. Now Trump is being creative how the WALL gets done! Military options and other dept resources can get moved to National Security.

SugarStop, what is scary is 2/3rd’s of House and Senate voted AGAINST Trump in the bill that was passed TODAY! Do you understand what that means? !!!!! That is enough to Impeach Trump! I’m sure Trump didn’t want to veto the bill and have 2/3’s of Congress OVER Ride him.

Trump is a bottom line guy, he said he will build a WALL, and he said he will do it one way or another, but it will be built! I believe him and I guess you don’t.

The people who elected Romney are such ignorant sheep. Walking into the slaughter because they refuse to open their eyes and see reality. I guess his throwing off the 2012 election wasnt convincing enough.

The part about how presidents have in the past, “tried to keep at least an appearance that they respected and were willing to work with the other party” made me sputter. Because I NEVER got the feeling that Obama had any respect or willingness to work with anyone who didn’t agree with him. Toward the end it was full, blatant hostility. Saying anyone who disagreed with him was crazy, that if you didn’t see things his way you were siding with terrorists…at the beginning was the whole ‘they drove the car into the ditch and now they want to ride along while we pull it out- well they can come along but they have to sit in the back!’ not to mention ‘elections have consequences!’

Yeah, he worked really hard to maintain the appearance that he had an ounce of respect for conservatives….

I am not crazy about him retweeting the video, because I am hard wired to avoid spiking the ball or gloating. It’s a personal choice that stems from the immediate karmic smackdown I always seem to get when I do try it. I’m the world’s worst smack talker. But I find it so incredibly offensive when people gnash their teeth and cry over a behavior that they cheered when they agreed with it as done by someone else. I’m waiting for the next time the Left loses their minds because a GOP House Speaker shows disrespect to a Dem POTUS during the SOTU. Then they will contort themselves into mini pretzels to explain how it was DIFFERENT when Pelosi did it because THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!!!!

I’m in the middle of an internal wresting match. I’ve posted before about what used to be a lovely little gossipy message board but since 2007 has become a viper pit of screaming hateful leftists. There is a particulary hateful poster who is quite fond of using the ‘GOP so dumb….how dumb are they????’ kind of post. This morning’s hate is about how lame the emergency declaration is and how halfassed the administration is and ends with ‘They’re like every rich dumb college kid who turns in a badly plagiarized paper.”

I am seriously considering replying ‘so, like Joe Biden then?’

  38. This was brilliantly done. You have to ask yourself “where do all these creeps come from?” The answer is simeple : too many people are allowed to vote. When our founding fathers granted the privilege of a vote it was for people who were invested in the health and success of America! Not to the deisperate malcontents who wish to vote themselves benefits from the producers. Back then it was white male landowners. Today it may be not so white not male producers but the idea is then same: Are you getting cash from the Treasury? Good for you- NO VOTE !!!

IN JUST ONE GENERATION WE COULD CLEAN THIS UP!

I don’t think it hilarious. I think it throws down the gauntlet against our enemies. These are INTERNAL enemies, at our figurative bosom in government, seeking to do us and our fellow citizens harm.

They are glum perhaps, but determined to wield the power they have to destroy our country and its history and constitution. They don’t care one white whom they harm as long as they have power. We will be impoverished if they succeed; they will be rich or richer come success or failure.

Eyes open y’all. This is the enemy.

A quick comment to all people bashing conservatives like Limbaugh, Coulter, etc. Quit doing that, please. You are not helping at all. Our side must stay united. It is ridiculous to denigrate people because they may critique moves. Everyone has insight. Everyone has a voice. Everyone has an opinion. This is America.

Look at the big picture. We lose the country or not. Unity is essential. Stop the bashing.
