Democrats Starting Realize The Dangers of Their Moonbat AOC…

Democrat Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) is the representative from Long Island City where Amazon was going to put their headquarters.  Along with many other Democrats Ms. Maloney is stunned at how the moonbat wing of the party has taken over.

AOC and her followers think a ‘tax abatement’ is an actual bucket of pre-existing cash they can now spend to improve New York schools and infrastructure.  No, seriously, they actually believe this… It’s far beyond economic dissonance, it’s Moonbattery.

.

70% tax rates. Free college and medicare for everyone. Cars and airplanes made illegal. A ban on cows and meat. Social justice mobs who cheer destroying jobs… Alexandria Occasional-Cortex and her millions of followers is the gift that keeps on giving.

AO KOtex is what the RATS truly want for America. Shes and Omar are the RESULT of what RAT policies have done in academia , media and law. RATS see now the American public largely REJECTS AOC and her commie viewpoint and are trying hard to distance themselves from what they themslevs have created.

I don’t believe that is what is going on here. AOC has multiple purposes for the left.
        1. She’s a litmus test so they can find out just how much support they have for their marxist plans.
        2. She allows them to try and regain some support for their cause by pretending to distance themselves from her “see? we’re not extremists! Vote Democrat in 2020!”

Indeed, but I get really nervous when our side is constantly dismissive of it:

We ignore/mock this threat to our precarious democracy at our own peril. Half the country (and growing) is easily wooed by this asshattery.

Public schools have been turning out misinformed, indoctrinated “useful idiots” for decades. Many private schools as well. AOC is merely the product of this system. We need to face this fact and work harder to educate people. Valiant efforts like Prager U are being censored and shut down. We need to deal with the left’s grip on education and social media. If we can’t get our message out, it’s game over.

Just a minute ago I saw someone on another site commented that people people are stupid for thinking global warming is bogus just because it snows a lot. They choose which facts to use and attack those who don’t agree. Now AOC just shows that facts don’t even matter anymore as long as you’re for free stuff.

The American public educations system, and I speak from the trenches. is the greatest enemy our country has. They regularly, both in the attitudes of their teachers, and in the embedded curriculum, brainwash our children from K-12 – and the comes college!

Parents should not ignore the beginnings of Leftism in their children from middle school on. It is insidious and teaches that we are a do-nothing, flawed country.

The teachers turn everything into a political statement, and increasingly, assignments reflect that.

In my local high school in Pleasanton, California, The U.S. CONSTITUTION (U.S Government) teacher carried on for almost three weeks, daily, for much of the period, about how Kavanaugh was guilty.

He stopped abruptly, and I heard someone complained. However, since teachers cannot be fired unless they are off to prison, it is doubtful that a complaint would have any weight.

CAses headed to the US Supremes that challenge teacher tenure.

Everyone rises to their level of crazy, and this moronic, one-celled brain moonbat needs to be thrown out of The House, like yesterday. How ridiculous do New Yorkers look being represented by these idiots, led by The Hyphen. “Dynamic”, more like dynamite exploding all over these demonrats laps, and their lapdogs in the media.

Too many idiots run unopposed! There should be a law against candidates who win by default. If not enough people vote, in order for someone to win at least half the votes of the total voting-eligible people in that district, then that district doesn’t deserve to be represented in the Congress. And why are we allowing Muslims a voice in the running of our Country? The 3M company was in Minnesota and kept the state very stable. Muslims were allowed to run out all the sanity of that State. They use Sharia law, and if you don’t like it, get OUT!

She’s already stated her purpose is to delegitimize the President. She is a super- anti-USA-ugly piece of work who hates Jews and intends to straighten out this Country. Americans better start waking up! Once they succeed in getting rid of the electoral college it will be game over and insuring Democrats stay in power until a major revolution occurs to force them out!

They fail to understand, seniors (I am one) pay into the system for 45+ years through payroll deductions before we are eligible. And… SS will continue to deduct Medicare premiums from your SS check. Moreover, you have to purchase a supplemental policy because Medicare doesn’t pay all your medical expenses. I opted out of Medicare, couldn’t afford the premiums (supporting a household of 4 people at that time, myself included). My fall back was opting out and going through the V.A. health system since I am a veteran.

So, if the “Medicare for all” crowd wants to pay 45+ years of premium in advance, have at it. No such thing as a free ride.

The most common one these days that you’ll see in the US is the MGB, with the Midget being the 2nd most common. On rare occasions at car shows and such you’ll see an MGA
Unfortunately, MG cannot claim innocence when it comes to British cars having the reputation for mechanical failure.
MG may mean Morris Garages, but there’s a reason they bear the name “More Garbage” (though said as a term of endearment in my experience). 😀

The blonde bimbo poli-hack isn’t really peoed about losing the billions in tax revenue(well only a tiny bit) and certainly doesn’t give one crap about “more jobs”, no, what she cares about losing is the many millions in kickbacks known as “campaign contributions” that she and her ilk will miss out on.

OTOH it just came to me, we’ve ALL missed the mark, by a mile so to speak and none of this has anything to do with the usual politics of money and corruption.

Occasional Cortex saw Bezos Pecker pics and well,, just wasn’t impressed…

Pelosi is bought and paid for, and controls the cash flow for this idiot’s reelection. Like my congressman a few years ago, who Boehner hated because he actually voted conservative, her reelection cash will be cut off completely. Pelosi’s paymasters, mostly the same ones who paid/pay Boehner, McConnell, Ryan, McCarthy et al, will demand this.

Notice the enemedia is shrieking about Amazon not getting the corporate welfare they demanded, while ignoring all her other stupidity like the Green New Deal, the wall, socialized medicine and the rest. The same corporate paymasters who pay Pelosi, Boehner, McConnell demand this. It’s worth remembering that the Uniparty really is a Uniparty, and is paid to be so. McConnell, Pelosi, Schumer and Ryan all believe in the exact same things:

    >corporate welfare
    >open borders
    >green corporate welfare
    >ObamaCare

Whether AOC understands the economics of tax abatement or not, I actually kind of side with her on this Amazon issue. Communities often give big tax breaks to businesses (like big box stores and sports stadiums) to locate in their towns and it does nothing for the existing residents except create traffic congestion, parking problems, higher rents as more people move to the area, and more ugly storefronts.

Creating jobs is a reason given for a lot of things our political leaders do, but often the benefits don’t pan out for residents of an area.

Same argument is given for increased immigration. Benefits of increased immigration generally accrue to employers.

She has pulled a Trump on this issue. Choose the opposite to 100% of the establishment believes yet is common sense. I agree with her in concept on this as well. These regressive tax breakes on businesses provide a great avenue for high tax districts to skirt the consequences of their policies. They end up having Mom n Pops subsidize the companies that put them out of business while ensuring all business decisions require more interaction with government (and of course more perks for those gov’t employees). They are a bad deal in aggregate.

I can’t tell if she is really clever or just fantastically lucky but she is playing her cards very well. Reflexively disagreeing with her just because you dislike her without giving her positions real thought is a mistake. These positions are ones that are shared by millions of people so dismissing them as stupid or attacking her personally without addressing the positions is not productive. Again, she learned a lot from President Trump.

Does anybody else really understand what actually happened here?

Why would Bezos, with probably a year of provision planning, a slew of committee members and both the governor and the mayor behind him, just allow a 29 year old table such a large deal as this?

Why am I not buying this whole charade? This almost looks planned to make Ocasio look like Joan of Arc.

It wasn’t just due to She Guevara. The New York state legislature wasn’t going along with Cuomo’s corporate welfare to the oligarch Bezos no matter what that gal said.

Remember, just like Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and other states, New York has been hammered by failed corporate welfare to the automotive industry and other industries. The know first hand that’s a losing proposition, because they’ve lost in the past.

I believe this was a leverage play, to get Trump to roll back those SALT deductions. That’s why Cuomo went to the WH, to make one last plea to Trump. Cuomo’s state budget is going to be $3B+ short this year because he’s been spending like a drunken sailor, plus many residents have already got a tax increase because of the SALT issue. So Cuomo’s got no extra cash to donate to Bezos, and the state legislature knows it, and there is zero chance the residents will support a tax increase to give to Bezos.

Bezos couldn’t receive his corporate welfare, and they have to have a scapegoat for that, and that’s She Guevara. That kills two birds with one stone. If Cuomo’s the scapegoat, that just won’t politically do for brother Cuomo and the Uniparty. And if they try to make Trump the scapegoat, he’ll absolutely UNLOAD on Cuomo mismanaging the state and destroying state finances, and Cuomo doesn’t want that, because everybody will believe Trump over Cuomo.

So She it is. The Uniparty and their corporate paymasters are happy to trash her, and that’s all they care about, killing off any politician who doesn’t genuflect to Uniparty demands.

There’s really no planning for Amazon. This isn’t manufacturing afterall. They need some square footage of office space and that’s about it it. You can spot that operation down in any major population center. Bezos is just looking for the biggest shakedown he can extort, with promises that he’ll kick back some of that cash to helpful Uniparty politicians, same old story of corporate welfare always. The only planning is how to fool the plebs into going along with it.

But their plan get rejected. This may be the beginning of a political turnaround in New York. Who knows?

And in the deep recesses of his bigly thinking brain, Trump has designs on taking New York in 2020, don’t forget. It’d take a longshot miracle and he’d need a lot of help to get there, but don’t ever doubt that he’s gamed out a few scenarios to make that happen. Cuomo could be one of his helpers, if he steps into Trump’s snare. If it’s Trump vs. an incompetent and failing Cuomo in New York, that could be the winning strategy for Trump. That SALT deduction was a punishing blow to the Uniparty paymasters (In addition to helping our deficit problem), and I believe Trump meant it to be so, and intends to get electoral mileage out of it if he can.

There’s a lot of moving parts to this and it’s all kept quiet, so you’re right to be suspicious. I so wish we had a real media to lay this all out factually so we didn’t have to speculate like this. It’s all corporate media crap all the time. Bezos even bought his own mouthpiece media outlet.

I’m not sure giving all those tax breaks to big corporations, especially Amazon, are beneficial. The people that work for Amazon use roads, schools, produce garbage; basically use up services that cost more than the increased taxes to the city and state from the incomes. I know its a complicated question. Amazon looks for the absolute dirt cheapest way to go, which is understandable, and it is probably true that part of the arrangement abused the present taxpayers in some way. I feel the same way when cities give pro football teams free stadiums.

If Amazon wanted to have an office in NYC for the chic or prestige or whatever they hell they think would have been good about putting an office there, they should pay for it. Otherwise, put the damn thing in Toledo. Or Abilene. Or Wichita. Or Memphis. This is one issue that I somewhat agree with AOC on. There is no question if she can keep from becoming part of the corruption crew she will rocket to the top. But the chances of that happening are about as slim as the odds were that Obama wouldn’t get rich from being President.

Corporations do not pay taxes, consumers pay the taxes in the form of higher prices. So companies who get tax breaks can charge less. Their customers get a break, but their competitors, who might not get the tax breaks, have to charge more and thus lose business. Just drop corporate taxes completely. Citizens who want government services need to pay the taxes to support them.

The democrat moonbats (AOC, et al) are playing a “compromising” game. They suggest all sorts of outlandish stuff and then compromise down to what they really want. I don’t think President Trump would even contemplate playing this game but who knows what the next president will do. We have to make sure we keep reelecting people that know how to negotiate and see through the game playing.

I really encourage everyone to take the 35 minutes needed to watch this video, which is found either embedded in a Daily Wire article — or — thru Weasel Zippers.

Topic — an interview of supporters of the New Green Deal, by AOC.

Honestly, the interview is well worth the 35 minute spent.

    Critique:

    1) The interviewer — Elad from Campus Reform — is absolutely amazing. Truly amazing.

    2) Up-talking? Drives me nuts, but note that many of the people interviewed have that “up-talk” speech pattern. It used to be that only when asking a question did your voice raise an octave or two at the end of a sentence.

Up-talk? — every sentence ends at a higher octave from where it began. “Cool surf dude” (such crap)

    3) I was actually surprised to find someone interviewed who is approached 50 years old — who is just as radical as the millennial’s.. Well, disappointed really. I thought this “green extremism” could only be blamed on the young. Not so. It is more pervasive than that.

Please watch the interview. It is a snippet on what those who support this New Green Deal truly, firmly, religiously — believe.

They believe this with all of their heart & soul. It is deep down. Nothing — no facts, etc. — will ever make these people believe otherwise.

And, this is just a tiny snippet.

Good, I’m glad. Born and raised in New York, at one time I thought I’d die there, now I don’t even want to drive through. Even though population falling, Rondout School district gets $23,grand per a student, for that child’s mind to be molested by deviant curriculum.
A Clinton carpetbagger who gets blessed by the teacher’s union and Al Sharpton?
An idiot who let 6 billion dollars disappear off HUD’s books when he was responsible and now is the Catholic Governor who doesn’t marry the woman with his kids that shares his mansion. Mr. Cuomo publicly stated he would like to drive every Conservative out of ‘his’ state. Post-birth abortions should help him accomplish that. I could go on but why waste my time.

Prior generations didn’t have all the educational opportunities, the info of the internet, the high tech. but they had more common societal sense. A sense, within most of society, that would preclude a person several years out of college working as a bar tender, that nobody was impressed with her or her degree to give her a job in business out of college, who probably doesn’t know enough business to understand what the bar needs to do to stay in business long term, from becoming a representative in congress and sitting on its financial committee. Stunning lack of common societal sense.
