You can tell from his mouth expression in the last few seconds, this was an emotional speech for him. Only about five minutes long, but very meaningful.

One for the ages, and remember..he said it’s up to US the American People…never forget. So, keep up commenting here, but do more; as much as you possibly can. Passivity is meaningless.

in life,” Representative Maxine Waters told Roland Martin on Monday.
“That’s going to be very, very powerful,” Waters said. “That database

I just read Chris Christies’ book “Let Me Finish”. It was a good read. Christie comes off as honest and forthright about his failings. He never badmouthed POTUS. Every criticism he had of the Trump administration was a criticism of the advice the president was given. He named names (Kuschner, Preibus, Bannon some others). He blamed Kushner and Bannon for his firing from the transition team. I didn’t realize it but he was the gov. atty who put Kushner’s father in jail. Kushner apparently could not let that go. Not surprising. But IMHO once the charges were brought Christie had no choice but to pursue the case, otherwise he’d be like the DOJ and FBI with the Clinton emails. Applying the law to some individuals but not to others. He addressed “Bridgegate” which I saw all along as another press coup in an effort to get a very popular (at the time) Republican candidate out of the running. His criticism of Sessions was not that Sessions was not a good man but the same criticisms as seen here — he was not strong enough for the job, he should have told POTUS he would recuse. Christie advised the president that if he were going to fire Comey DO IT RIGHT AWAY. He predicted the sh**storm that occurred firing him later and in the manner Comey was fired. Christie put that blame on the WH staff for not knowing Comey was not in town.

I think the first few months of POTUSs administration would have been a lot better had Chris Christie been left in charge of the transition and I think we’d have a whole different ball game had he been nominated Attorney General.

He adivsed against General Flynn by the way and had a lot of reasons why. He did not come off as self serving and vindictive, but rather as who he is — the WISIWIG politician that can be rough around the edges but who shoots straight. He and POTUS have been personal friends for years he says and he is quite fond of POTUS and FLOTUS.

As I said I saw nothing in the book critical of POTUS except his mistake in listening to certain advice which CC pointed out all of those poor advisers save family are now gone.

I don’t know the truth. Nobody does who wasn’t in the inner circle. But for those who want to read another facet of the story, by all means read the book. The only flaw I find in it was when I read that Ellis Henican was his co writer I grimaced. Henican is a real left wing rat. Or was. Still the book is NOT biased so CC obviously had a great deal to do with it.

Not sure why declaring a National Emergency is suddenly a big deal. Here are 3 PDJT’s issued prior. No one seemed to have a problem with these. Of course 1 & 3 don’t directly apply to us.

2 looks to be a cya… or maybe was to appease DHS, given their misguided efforts to secure midterms from foreign boogeymen. Conveniently ignoring all the actual voter fraud by Dems, & the voting by illegals they helped shuffle in.

That one line in 3 does irritate a bit: “systemic dismantling & undermining of democratic institutions & the Rule of Law”. Wow, doesn’t that sound like a familiar problem?! Weird.

Oh, but Nicaragua’s issues are far more important, & b/c of a potential “threat to national security & foreign policy”. We’ll just ignore all the dismantling & undermining ongoing here at home. And how it’s long since compromised our national security.

We should only be concerned with Nicaragua & other places. Let’s continue to do nothing about our own destruction, & we can soon become the USSA.👍🤨

Did she pay less in taxes or just receive less refund meaning a proper amount had been withheld all year? What was her total tax the year and last year?

Refunds are not an indivation of how much/little you were taxed but a reflection of how much was withheld through the year.

They raised the individual deduction but they eliminated the deduction for the elderly population, therefore, I pay taxes on more of my income. Anyway, when I do my taxes properly, and I am wrong, I will be sure to let you know. But right now, I am not winning.

As written, your statement is murky, to say the list, and incorrect, to tell the truth. The standard deduction for those over 65 years old is larger than the standard deduction for younger people. Moreover, the elimination of the personal exemption applies to all, regardless of age, and 2018 tax brackets are lower for all taxpayers.

I’ve been arguing with a few people on Twitter about this exact same thing. They all keep looking at their refunds and saying they are lower or they have to pay now. I remind them they’ve been getting more money in their paychecks since Feb 2018 and that they need to look at their total tax line from last year and compare to this year to see the difference.

Every single one of them respond back saying BS I only got 6 dollars back or 10 dollars back in their paychecks and they had to pay 3 to 5000 more in taxes.

Now to be fair I haven’t done my taxes yet so I don’t know for sure. But you are seeing more and more of this all over twitter and in the news. The GOP definitely lost the message on this and people are literally comparing their refunds/payments from year to year and not their total taxes.

It’s not a ‘refund’ — it’s an overpayment by the taxpayer of his own money, lent to the government. Ideally, there should be no refund, because we’ve kept out money in the first place. Too many people don’t seem to understand this.

People who complain about their tax refunds being lower than last year should ask accountants what they think about them. Lending money to the government interest free instead of depositing it into an interest paying account is really, really, really silly.

And yet the politicians, years ago, created laws requiring withholding of taxes by employers. The reason was that they didn’t want the citizens to figure out what they were paying. They knew, and time has proven them correct, that most people look at their paycheck and only pay attention to the take home pay, not the gross pay and withholding amounts. The result is they think that refunds are actually money the government is giving them, not their own money they’ve overpaid and are getting back. If every citizen had to pay their taxes by writing a check to the government instead of through withholding it would change the way people understand and look at taxes.

A tax refund, to many taxpayers, becomes a form of “forced savings.” Many don’t have good financial stewardship. Thus, they are counting on getting that refund from the IRS each year (money they have been lending to the government interest-free), and they hope they can predict the amount because they have plans to spend that money on something big.

That is so true! I’ve had many, many employees tell me throughout my career that they aren’t good savers so this is their savings. Of course, when they get the refund it doesn’t go into savings, they blow the money because they see it as a windfall. Years ago employers offered payroll savings programs where employees could have an amount of money of their choice taken out of their paychecks and put into savings for them. That caused many people to save even if they weren’t disciplined. But today, the politicians have been very effective at getting people to live paycheck to paycheck and see the government as deep pockets that should be there to make up for their lack of discipline to save their own money..

Also remember all the banks having “Christmas Funds”. You deposited money into your Account all year round and then at Christmas you took out the money to buy Christmas gifts.
Today everybody gets what they want when they want it…..using credit cards or living pay-check-to-pay check. Instant gratification and instant debt.

Yes. The layaway method kept most folks living within their means. Although, I can attest to having to cancel many layaways when customers stopped paying for 3 months. That’s how our store’s program worked. Of course we returned their money less a $3.00 fee. This was back in the 1970s. But 95% of layaway customers were very consistent in making weekly or monthly payments.

There wasn’t any interest charged and they could layaway a sale item that they couldn’t otherwise afford by the sale deadline. Those folks usually paid off their sale-priced layaways quickly.

It did require us to have several shelves in the stockroom dedicated to layaways. This method of purchasing kept lower income folks away from the dangers, high cost, and consequences of dealing with high interest credit cards. I’m not sure if retail stores still use layaway or not.

We still do the pay check savings plan but we set it up ourselves. Check goes into checking through auto deposit and then we have an amount set to be deposited into savings account from checking account.

But the point is that the GOP is NOT in front of this with messaging and to prepare people to look at and compare what they paid v. the refund amounts of the last two years.

And, yes, some will pay more. 1 tax bracket was changed so that some middle class are now in a higher bracket. And other reasons include the cap on house interest – but its very large. And the SALT issue for some states.

But messaging could address and explain to SALT state residents why. the commercial/sound bite include some saying that they are paying more and then the commercial directing them to the reason – their state’s high taxes.

We need testimony commercials of people saving $ on their taxes and with some explaining that one ought to look at their tax total v. their refund. And explain why a refund is not as good as getting their own money all year. If they want, they can have more withheld so that they get a higher refund or they can open a savings account and do it themselves.

Point is – we MUST get ahead of this! Or at least respond

T45 campaigned heavily for this and lobbied to include it with the enacted tax reform package, with resistance and no avail. He certainly would have signed anything placed on his desk.

I believe it is better if negotiations fail to produce a bill. If Congress cannot get an agreement it will be Congress’s fault for the resulting shutdown. That result is better than Congress agreeing to a bad deal forcing PDJT to veto and somewhat own the shutdown. I think Trump knew they would not be able to negotiate a bill, therefore shifting all blame to a dysfunctional Congress.

PDJT can the say he gave Congress every chance but they failed and go forward with executive order to build more wall. It is hard to argue that the President cannot use his Constitutionally granted powers to act on a national emergency when Congress is too dysfunctional/unwilling to act.

The Administration has the data and statistics to show the entire southern border is a drug and human trafficking corridor and can use USC 10, Sec 284 to build a large portion of the wall.

        https://www.dhs.gov/news/2018/12/12/walls-work
WE ARE BUILDING THE FIRST NEW BORDER WALL IN A DECADE.

DHS is committed to building a wall at our southern border and building a wall quickly. Under this President, we are building a new wall for the first time in a decade that is 30-feet high to prevent illegal entry and drug smuggling.

FACT: Prior to President Trump taking office, we have never built a border wall that high.

Once funding was provided, DHS began construction of a border wall quickly, in some locations in as little as nine months from funding to building – a process that commonly takes two years or more in other parts of Government. By the end of FY 2019, DHS expects to have construction completed or underway for more than 120 miles in the areas it’s most needed by the U.S. Border Patrol. The pace of construction has picked up as initial limiting factors like land acquisition and funding have been addressed.

      Partial Solution:

DON’T… declare National Emergency to fund building of border wall.

DO… declare National Emergency to fund building of as many detention centers with as many cots and blankies as you need to hold every last G.D. one of them.

Takes the detention nonsense off the table. Now the Dems can “focus” on The Wall issue. If their little Pea-Brains can handle it.

The dems are NOT negotiating; it is a sham. They WANT the government to be shut down again. Why? I have no idea. I keep my trust in President Trump. He is there. He is where the action is. He knows what is going on. We do not.

Everything President Trump does has a reason and a purpose. He was successful in cutthroat New York City real estate, for crying out loud! If he can make it there, he can make it anywhere. I wish the draining of the swamp and the cleaning up of government at all levels were both going along much faster than they, but it is what it is. They’ve only had over 100 years to be planning and doing this crap. We (the Deplorables, the Patriots, the Conservatives, the law abiders, etc.) have been fighting back really only since June 16, 2015, when then Mr. Trump, then Candidate Trump, then President-elect Trump, then President Trump, announced his candidacy for President of the United States.

President Trump knows what is going on. Sundance has described the distractions many times before; all the comments and lies from the naysayers, the negative articles, etc., are just chaff. It is very hard to keep the faith sometimes, but I’m hanging on to the Trump Train. I want my country back.

Good post mostlyogauge! I love the “if he can make it there he can make it anywhere”. Actually I was recently reading a Lincoln memoir written by Carl Sandburg and it appears the democrats (whigs at that time) have been pulling a lot of this stuff for about 200 years. They tried to rig votes, open borders, bring in socialistic programs and send money and military to wars that we didn’t need to be involved with. I am so done with the demoncrat party, to think I voted their way for many years in the 80’s & 90’s. Makes me sick. Happy to be reformed!

I was listening to FOX yesterday coming home from the gym and they were talking about Klobuchar. They Emphasized that she will win back voters in Minnesota that the President appealed to. And it was crystal clear. Democrats are hateful little untamed and mindless sheep. We know that but what their racist party is doing is propping up candidates thay know won’t win but will “Corral” their drones to their already preselected nominee.

They set up candidates that represents each little fring group of freaks or what not. Whatever race or gender they represent. Whatever abnormal non American activity they promote and as they drop out they endorse their chosen nominee. So these frothy mouthed followers are now shuffled down the chute to get behind them. Like Hillary did to Bernie. Bernie wasn’t going to win and he wasn’t selected. That’s why the beast got the super Delegates.

It went to Bernie’s head though. They had to threaten his wife.

Look at crazy Warren or Harris. Super flawed. They won’t make it. Harris hasn’t met a mattress she hasn’t liked. Warren is corrupt. Lied about her heritage for political and financial gain. Used the system. Super racist.

Biden has issues with children but he’s one to watch , waiting in the shadows. The Demokkkrats are also courting the Mailman and others to try to splinter off Never Trumpers. They will employ the pied piper approach 2.0.

They already have selected their nominee. Just like they knew Pelosi Fixadent would be speaker. We haven’t seen that nominee step up yet and we may not until all the pieces are in place.

I really don’t understand why people think she will be the nominee. For one thing, Michelle Obama has expressed at least a few times how much she hated living in the White House. It’s not just the White House itself, it’s having your personal freedoms restricted for what might be eight years. It’s having your privacy scrutinized and having a Secret Service agent tail you and know of your whereabouts at all times.

As far as I can tell, Michelle would not sacrifice her personal freedom once again. If she were to run, I would fall over in a dead faint.

Power is a very strong aphrodisiac. People who want to be president often want power over anything else (i.e., Hillary). The Obama’s miss being the center of attention and being fawned over. Plus, they hate the Clintons and since Barry stole the nomination from Hillary in 2008, I’m sure they love sticking it to Hillary again by getting Michelle elected as the first female president. I have no doubt that the left thinks that the country would fall head over heels for Michelle. Personally, I don’t think so. We also have to remember that this kind of decision is not made by Michelle and Barry. Barry was a puppet of his globalist masters, just as both Bush presidents were and Clinton was. They are assigned the task and follow orders they are given. It’s quite possible the globalists would tell the Obamas that since Barry can’t run again, they need to run Michelle. And you can bet that they’d run on the “if you don’t vote for her you’re a racist and anti-woman” which is the plan the Kamala Harris has, but she doesn’t have the draw factor that Obama would. I don’t know if Michelle will run, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she does.

I wish more people understood that, Chip Doctor. God controls who rules and no one else. The Bible is very clear about that. I believe that God answered the prayers of many to allow us to have a president that would start to turn America around. But I also think that we’re on the verge of losing that blessing because the American people continue living in their wicked and sinful ways. II Chronicles 7:14 says that if we turn from our wicked ways and worship and honor the Lord, He will heal the nation. God actually started the healing process of America before the American people did their part of that deal. And since they haven’t turned to Him and abandoned their sinful ways, I think it’s very possible He may decide to withdraw His hand of blessing and we’d be in worse shape than we were before He gave us President Trump.

The racist antics of Virginia governor Ralph Northam ought not to surprise anyone. The Democratic Party has long been marinated in racist thinking. Today, most of that racism is irrational hatred of white people and the denial of white people through such policies that the Nazis practiced — racial quotas — in the name of that moronic and repulsive goal “social justice,” which is to say injustice; all justice is individual.

The Democratic Party was even more deeply committed to racism against blacks, and the Ku Klux Klan was simply the terrorist wing of the Democratic Party, which drove Republicans out of the South and compelled blacks to join the Democratic Party, where they were denied the right to vote in primaries or participate in caucuses to choose the Democrat nominee for offices.

It’s deeper than that. And more problematic. This “investigation” is the manifestation of corrupt practices within high levels of the FBI, DOJ, CIA, State, Executive, etc. etc. If it was simply “a few unelected dopes at DOJ” it wouldn’t be SUCH a big deal… If you take what we know now to its logical conclusion, the reality is that the U.S. is facing down the threat of a Shadow Police State. Where any citizen can be surveilled for any reason. Anybody can be locked up in solitary for any reason. And anybody’s home can be raided by 20-30 heavily armed Police State Paramilitary Agents for any reason.

Consider: the fact that we are even having a discussion about the need for a FISA Inspector General investigation all of 18 years after the Patriot Act was signed should tell you all you need to know. The Police State abuse got a grand sendoff… basically, what was never quite Legal/Constitutional was simply Legalized/Constitutionalized… and has been sharpened to a fine point. You don’t even need to be a “terrorist”. You could be a billionaire real estate developer from Queens, for example. Or you could private message the wrong person on Twitter.

And folks think Bernie and his supporters are immune… fools…

Just dig up some of James B. Comey’s Tweets over the past 18 months and wrap your head around this: THAT GUY ran the Federal Bureau Of Investigation. And that’s all you need to know about that…

Trump is pushing to take Minnesota in 2020. It’s probably the biggest prize he can reasonably pry away from the D’s. If he takes it, the election will be a formality and Trump will win in a romp. The D’s know this and Klobuchar is their fightback. Smart strategy, they pick a high profile Minnesotan, and there aren’t many, pump some cash into her campaign, roust the lefties and parry Trump’s efforts in Minnesota.

It may not work. Trump is likely taking Iron Country, and the manufacturing and agriculture crowd is going to keep pushing over to him. It’s the economy, stupid.

NBC is gleefully reporting unverified accounts of people claiming that they are paying more in income tax this year. One person on twitter wrote (to the best of my recollection) “Last year I got a $750 refund, this year I owe $5000. I have $100,000 in student loans” (and it went on). Well that seems suspect, doesn’t it? Of course NBC wouldn’t bother to contact the person and find out WHY they owe so much more. Maybe the person did contract work and failed to have taxes taken out of his/her earnings. Maybe the person makes a lot of money and purchased an expensive property with $20k in property taxes. NBC also interviewed a mature woman on the street, appeared to be around 70 and clearly in NYC, and she said she will pay more, my guess is because she’s wealthy and she owns an expensive property with high property tax that will not be fully deductible. Well boohoo to her, why should the rest of the country subsidize people who live in high property tax areas? I do too but I’m not whining about it. A couple of days ago I saw a news article containing a tweet from a person who said he has to pay $4k more this year, he had voted for Trump in 2016 but won’t vote for Trump in 2020. Again, no details, and that person deleted his tweet.

SS is taxed on a sliding scale depending on how much you earn out side of the SS income. That could include the taxable income from an IRA distribution which could cause lower refund or require paying if you don’t have withholding from those distributions. It is funny that people view refunds as lower taxes and apparently don’t look at the 1040 to see what they actually pay.

I see a rumor kicking around Chicago about how Jesse Jackson Jr is bad mouthing Mueller in order to cultivate favor for a presidential pardon.

Hmmm… isn’t Jackson the one who got caught looting $750,000 in campaign funds (it seems Porsches and Rolexs (Rolexi?) are “disallowed expenditures”, did only 23 months and (as of 2017) is getting $125K a year in workers comp and SS disability for an undisclosed injury that happened while he was a member of congress.

Do multiple amputees returning from combat zones get that much? No, I didn’t think so.
I would discount the pardon angle but with the returning of the drug dealers to the wild and the oval office having a “Rufus the Rapper” day, it does sound like something the Kushners might come up with.

Of course, a pardon could put one more candidate in the Democrat line up couldn’t it?

And, I think there will be big efforts to increase taxes in some areas during this time, too. The UniParty, not just the Dems, don’t like low taxes. President Trump will spend a lot of time guarding the successes he has from being taken away and as soon as his term in office is up, the UniParty will rush right back in to start reversing what he’s done. That will be a replay of what happened after Reagan finished his term.

This used to be the mantra of hippies and young leftists, who morphed (inexorably) into joyless totalitarians. Young people want to experience joy but are being told not to. Joy is verboten on the Left. It signifies individuality away from the narratives of conformed, anger-driven social activism.

So… add the individual leaks to the growing public record, but remain skeptical until somebody with requisite insight (Sundance, for example) can parse the words and articles and actions and motives and put at least some of the puzzle pieces together. In short: don’t trust individual leaks. :^)

Impossible to answer IMO………….. if “our side” means limited-government patriots who want to see the Constitution and rule of restored. So by that, I figure that the Epoch Times is not on our side, nor are any of the leaks or leakers.

If anyone was on our side, the deep corruption in the FBI/DOJ and the criminal collusion with the House/Senate “Intelligence” Committees would have long been laid bare to the general public. None of the leaks have led to exposure either, so they clearly are not on our side.
