I always enjoy how Trump trumps and it is obvious here. Sounds like the shutdown will be around a wee bit longer! and the democrats and especially Pelosi and Schumer will show up as even more clowns than ever. She thinks she is the queen or president and Schumer her clown. What a pair, and they are only underlining ripping off the fed workers, most of whom never thought those big salaries they earned would never disappear and so they never saved a dime like every other real worker. If shutdown long enough, many of non-essentials will have to quit and get a real job! That is the time to also remove unions from Congress as well. They are spending our money and never ask for our input and that has grown tiresome and must be understood that you are never again to waste our money or…
She plays kiddy games while Trump is playing poker and ne’er the twain shall ever meet. It is OUR HOUSE and we want our President to speak his SOTU there and you don’t have to come and suck or bit your tongue or make faces proving you are still mentally a spoiled brat.

The “non-essentials” are eligible for unemployment and SNAP and other assistance programs. It is the “essentials” who cannot find another job b/c they are busy working for free. It is the “worker bee” who does not make a huge salary who is actually the essential worker and is being hurt.
After 30 days (which has already passed) the RIF (reduction-in-force) procedures go into effect for those furloughed. Hope this takes care of some of the unnecessary bloated ranks and thins the herd so we can get back to a lean and efficient gov’t.

I love the use of a fox to depict Trump. I hunt from a deer stand and have seen almost every animal in the northeastern PA woods walk directly under my tree stand, totally oblivious of potential danger lurking above them…except one, the wiley fox. I have seen plenty of foxes from my stand, but not a single one has ventured even close. And it’s not dumb luck…I become extremely quiet and still if I see a fox…just to see…and to a one, they eventually look right at me from the distance, as if to say, you are an idiot and you can’t fool me, right before they disappear into the woods never to be seen for the rest of the day.

Illegal immigrants and foreign aid first
    American safety last

And now presidential Trump will force her to $#!- on the Constitution or concede to his platform.

Clearly President Trump very much wanted to give his State of the Union speech to the nation, on time and on location … … and on budget, and now he doesn’t get to do that. I doubt he is happy about this. It’s not like he was afraid to give it and Pelosi inadvertently bailed him out. He may well still win the war, and many battles along the way, but this is not one of them.

45 has an ego. This will play out and he will not be defeated. The Honorable Speaker of the House, has never been challenged. Its always been easy for her. She has an adversary that she did not expect…45 is not going to lay down or roll over. He has the back of the American people, his stated first concern.

Early on, the POTUS elect met with the media…and a large number of our military, for a press conference…media was not happy.

The Honorable Speaker lost face, when ‘daddy took the T-Bird away’. She has always had an issue with flying “free”. She has an ego as well.

It was not clear that PDJT was upset about not giving the speech on time and location. It is also not clear that he won’t end up giving the speech on time and location. Pelosi could cave any day, especially if conservatives could somehow effectively relay the information to the public that the Republicans have voted several times to pay the federal workers, only to be stymied by the democrats. The MSM has a complete black out on this story.

He wants to deliver the speech in the House Chamber, now led by a majority of DemonRATS who have become so radicalized and hell bent on destroying this country and it’s traditions and history. The speech he will deliver in that Chamber will be about AMERICA FIRST and government that at last represents WE THE PEOPLE. Nancy and her minions cannot stand the thought of that and he knows it. On the surface, something is not right. The President’s decision to postpone might look like it came out of nowhere, but I say not. My bet is he intended it to look this way. Think hard. President Trump has other plans, the way out of this mess does not include getting into a food fight in the House Chamber with a gallery full of Antifa, BLM, Code Pink, Me Too Movement vagina hat wearing morons shouting the President down. We don’t need or want that spectacle. I believe he now has more leverage today than he did yesterday.
If her two bills are defeated in the Senate, what does she do? Insist we keep the government shutdown because she doesn’t want to fund an immoral wall? The upshot in all of this turnover. When federal workers start resigning next month because they aren’t getting paid and can’t wait any longer for the government to re-open, they quit to go find a real job. It is a reduction in force by natural selection. A huge win!

One last point of interest: In President Trump’s letter to Nancy Pelosi he was very polite and cordial to her. In both of her two letters to our President, Speaker Pelosi declined to address President Trump by his name. When will she be asked why she is making such a calculated, deliberative and insulting move when he is not doing the same to her?

“It’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind” gives control to Pelosi (which she loves) and also provides the opportunity to use her power to change her mind again.

Some people just have to be shown, they can’t intuit it. And that softer side may be the key for getting them onto the Trump Train. And when they’re reeeally tugging hard, you let go altogether. After a few moments of gleeful celebration, the dog realizes that the toy is useless on its own. And in Nutty Nancy’s case, it makes her look like a stupid POS standing in front of the whole country with the wall and the shutdown, intertwined into one rope, hanging out of her slobbery pug face. What good will it do her now? Now she OWNS those issues. Now she has no choice but to sheepishly return the rope to The Donald or drop it altogether. The most dog-like method would be to drop it and carry on as if nothing ever happened. We’ll see what Nancy does in the next few days.

This is another brilliant move by Trump!

Trump can do a rally and NOT call it the SOTU address, and the Dems don’t have a counter-address. 🙂

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump has a Rally on the same night in a warmer area of the country, at big place, and the Rally is called Build the Wall and Crime will fall! 🙂

You are on to something here. Holding the SOTU in an alternate venue, would be labeled a political rally by the media. So, first, President Trump sets the table. He agrees not to hold a SOTU address until the Government is re-opened. It looks like he acquiesced. He lets them have their fun.

After the Senate rejects both bills she sent over, he simply takes his show on the road. Multiple rallies designed to get his message out without the pomp and circumstance of the House and also without Nancy able to give a rebuttal. Nancy is a fool and it’s best to just ignore her and her subpoenas.

In the absence of that perfect crystal ball, view a few perspectives against the backdrop of previous history. Temper that analysis with the consideration that as times change so do some variables. Resist the urge to bias the analysis by what you hope the outcome will be or you fear it may be. The outcome will be clear in time. Finally take however much time you expend on this cerebral endeavor and apply it to contacting your congress critter whether they are friend or foe and attempt induce them to support your position ( for those true swamp critters, rest easy in the knowledge that every response they receive may consume even a minuscule of support time that would otherwise be devoted to some form of skullduggery. Also start or continue to encourage like minded souls to do the same.

I’m not sure if others see it this way, but it seems to me that President Trump has deftly found and exploited an opportunity to tag Pelosi with a primary trait used to stereotype women as erratic and peevish – “it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind,” the ancient saying tells us, though the last time it might have applied to her, in its traditional, romantic context, the ancient saying was probably fresh and young.

In doing this, President Trump has made this technique just slightly easier to employ, and more difficult to foil, the next time need and opportunity meet.

“It’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind,” is a playful term in this case meant to appeal to her control and command, big ego personality. Nancy is a relic and feeds off power and control. This is her weakness. She is not entitled to lead the House of Representatives as a dictator.

With Venezuela falling, President Trump has just exposed her poor decision making abilities and unwillingness to negotiate and compromise. He has likened her to Maduro.

A few pundits like Ingraham are objecting to this decision but I think it’s a wise decision. It’s a long standing tradition and it should occur in the House. Besides, it will be quite entertaining watching PDJT delivering his speech while Pelosi sits close behind him on camera. Every facial twitch, grimace and groan will be recorded for posterity.

I suspect “Nancy” will look very uncomfortable and out of place while the President will look calm and presidential. As usual, the Dem Rep’s will also be squirming angrily in their seats or storming up the aisle as they leave early and so on.

NO I don’t think declaring a national emergency is a good
idea because we know they have a judge with injunction
in hand to stop it. and then
the gov opens up while the fight goes on and well. They win.
    No keep dragging it on.

And the Repubs had better not vote on the one to open
the gov for three weeks.. UNLESS they do so then it is like
well since the gov is open it is now time for the SOTU.
What is her excuse if the temp open bill happens
and she refuse to allow the SOTU. She said when
the shutdown is over.. but I don;t like
the option of a temporary open of the government.
    keep it closed.

I think he should start giving mini SOTU from the oval office either weekly or monthly without the demonrats there. The one held in the Chamber once a year has become nothing but a spectacle. The one thing it does do is show the difference between the Dems and Rep and who the classless ones are.

Okay…………so all these polly-annish comments (uncannily) resemble putting a fresh coat of paint on a pile of sh1t. ((Which is okay, as that is what EYE (I) often strive to do in life…….ie take lemons and make lemonade.))

To the down side…….this makes it look like piglosi has won the battle. It makes tRump look weaker and if any of you think the left will not pronounce this angle from the rooftops, you are mistaken.

To the contrary………for tRump to have gone ahead with the SOTU at another venue, may well have made it look like he won THIS battle, but to what avail??!? Bottom line it, (whether we like it or not), there is slightly under 50% of our fellow Americans who patronize the opposition side, (coincidentally, romney’s 47%’er comment). For tRump to have forced this issue would have solidified their resolve. Just how they roll.

I am neither a tRump fan NOR someone with TDS. Although I like much of what this president has been doing, I still sleep with one eye open as things unfold. There COULD still be a rope-a-dope going on, (or the frog in a slow-boiling pot-type thing), but somewhere along the line…….adults in the room need to act like adults and try to find common ground.

For the record…….I am disappointed to see that tRump is not still holding the SOTU, but at another venue. At the same time, I read on another site where mccarthy is putting forth something about a privileged resolution, (designed I think as a form of censor of piglosi for her actions in this SOTU thing). If successful, I could see this as a good thing as tRump comes off, (as stated here), as magnanimous and piglosi – – – not so much).

If this is a 3-D chess move…..I concede to the brilliance of it. Often, human emotion and the need to ‘win’ leads to knee-jerk reaction(s) that add little positive to the overall situation at hand.

To the plus side, I would like to consider myself as someone who both understands and appreciates lemonade. For people like that, there is always hope and hope springs eternal.

I continue to pray for blessing(s) from The LORD.

I’m glad he did this. This is not a hill worth the fight. In the meantime, Pelosi cannot use Military planes for her family jaunts, more of the furloughed workers will either leave or be RIFfed.

What this guarantees is that PDJT will have his funding for the wall, and the workers will be back when he does have the SOTU, which will be much better optics. Add in further movement from China and Korea, a possible SC pick, and it could end up being the best SOTU ever televised. It will certainly be the most watched. And the Democrats won’t have any legitimate reason to agitate during it. This is going to be the speech that kicks off his 2020 election run.

So yes, she won this skirmish. It still doesn’t equal her being grounded. Hopefully she will use it wisely, and pull her side over enough that the funding goes through, and she gets on with what she’s supposed to be doing. If not, there are alternatives. The Wall will be built.

This makes Mrs. Pelosi look even more petty and small. Another meme, like the one with the President and little Obama, should be created with an ever-shrinking Mrs. Pelosi, in her itty-bitty chair (perhaps high chair) next to our magnanimous and genius of a President.

“When strong, appear weak; when weak, appear strong.”

Folks have mentioned the “optics” at play here. That is the issue.

Pelosi was desperately hoping that she could manipulate POTUS into delivering the SOTU outside of the House chamber where she did not have to sit behind him while he used the bully pulpit of the SOTU to lambast and humiliate democrats as she sat there looking sour and angry in the Speaker’s chair. The last SOTU was a disaster for her and her party from an optics standpoint, and folks should recall that Pelosi’s popularity and approval ratings are the lowest in Congress and below that of PDJT.

PDJT just informed her that her ploy failed and that he WILL have the optics his office deserves. Pelosi is now locked into allowing the SOTU to take place in the House chamber once the shutdown is over.

    One other thing….

Pelosi is also demonstrating just how corrupt Paul Ryan was in his intentional failure to use the power of the Speaker’s office to support a Republican POTUS….another Establishment foot-soldier sacrificed on the alter of the UniParty/Deep State.

Please show respect to the President of the United States when leaving comments. His name is not “tRump”! Either type his correct name of President Trump, PDJT, or PT, or POTS or just don’t type at all. It is very upsetting reading how people no longer respect the office of the President of the USA. I did not like people showing disrespect to President Obama with other names either. Show respect. Same goes for our national anthem. Stand, hand over heart and sing the anthem as written or shut up! We are all praying for a real solution for the future of our republic. These are scary times and President Trump needs prayer more than ever.

That is the way the Founders intended.

They also intended that the Senate belong to the States. We surrendered power to the Statists with the 17th Amendment. That can be repealed.

They control the House with Uniparty strongmen, “elected” through red/blue gerrymandering and social engineering.

To take the House back we need to control the GOP, which starts with patriots and freemen holding our Precinct and District chairs.
