Devin Nunes Outlines Central Point of Media Working With House Leadership Toward Trump ‘Impeachment’ Strategy…

House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes appears on Fox News and focuses attention to the primary point most overlook.  The Buzzfeed narrative on Michael Cohen is directly connected to the political endeavors of Democrats in congress.

Buzzfeed pushes a false conspiracy involving President Trump and Michael Cohen, HPSCI Chairman Adam Schiff then outlines his intent to “investigate” that claim through the use of the committee.  Again, not meaning to be too repetitious, but this is coordinated. Nothing is happenstance.  Resistance allies within congress are working in concert with resistance allies in media and Lawfare to create the baseline for the ‘impeachment’ agenda.

.

Speaker Pelosi publishes new rules for Democrat committees. The new rules tell Elijah Cummings to target the White House. The Thursday after the Superbowl, February 7th, Michael Cohen will testify publicly to Cummings’ House Oversight Committee. The script for the questions have already been written. The goal of the hearing will be to create the baseline for HPSCI (Schiff) and Judiciary (Nadler) to move to the next phase: a subpoena for Donald Trump Jr.

Everything is pre-planned, pre-scripted, and building to a specific focus point.

This is why Buzzfeed must hold the position *NOT* to retract their claim. The Pelosi, Cummings, Schiff and Nadler plan requires their media allies to stick to the script; there can be no modification.

Everything is planned.

Everything is sequential.

After the Cohen testimony; while Schiff begins to target DJT-Jr; Robert Mueller will move in with an interim report on the Russian investigation. Mid-February will be reserved for Schiff to target DJT-Jr; then, the timing for Rod Rosenstein/Robert Mueller is likely late February to expand…

The ultimate ‘impeachment’ ball will be handed to Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler after April 15th, 2019, per Pelosi rules and schedule.

The wild card is AG nominee William Barr.

Unlike Rod Rosenstein, Robert Mueller, Chris Wray and David Bowdich, William Barr doesn’t appear to be part of the compliant organization.

Specifically because Barr is not participating in the team agenda (doesn’t seem like it so far) he becomes a risk they may need to isolate and marginalize.

“If they go down the presidential harassment track, if they want go and harass the president and the administration, I think that would be the best thing that would happen to me. I’m a counter-puncher and I will hit them so hard they’d never been hit like that,” he said during a 36-minute Oval Office sitdown.

The commander-in-chief said he could declassify FISA warrant applications and other documents from Robert Mueller’s probe — and predicted the disclosure would expose the FBI, the Justice Department and the Clinton campaign as being in cahoots to set him up.

“I think that would help my campaign. If they want to play tough, I will do it. They will see how devastating those pages are.”

But Trump told The Post he wanted to save the documents until they were needed.

“It’s much more powerful if I do it then,” Trump said, “because if we had done it already, it would already be yesterday’s news.”

Trump revealed his playbook just as Democrats are set to take over House committees in January where they are poised to investigate his potential business conflicts of interests, tax returns, Russia dealings and more.   (read more)

Pelosi is sitting on a BOMB with a LONG DET Chord…and guess who has the igniter? PDJT. By doing it this way, NOT ONLY does he get rid of 800,000 gov leeches but he also gets rid of the imbeciles in the FBI/DOJ/CIA/NSA due to the documents which are EXPLOSIVE.

And PDJT is right, coming out with documents now puts them front-in-center ONLY for a short time…stringing this out and taken the has-beens out one/two at a time is called:

Why would Robert Mueller make such a quick denial of the “Bull Feed” story? I have been a critic of Mueller’s operation, but the fact that he had such a good reputation before this is a nagging question.
The other night Joe Digenova on FNC made a specific point of what a “straight shooter” Bill Barr was and how he trusted him to clean up this mess, even though he and Mueller had worked together for years.
Somewhere else I saw that Mr. Barr’s 3 daughters had become lawyers, and the thought came to mind that they must have acquired their Fathers respect for the law to make all 3 go into that profession.
Robert Mueller can’t be stupid enough not to see clearly the snake pit he had been drafted into, with the staff full of zealots, and boss who was one of the people who had broken the law. Where was he to turn? Mr. Sessions had been a bust, and there was NOWHERE to turn, and no one to talk to.
Here comes the “cavalry to the rescue”, in the form of, Bill Barr, his friend, and someone he knew was honest, and someone he could trust, making the statement that “He would accept the Mueller Report and make public the parts that needed reporting”.
It didn’t take long for Mr. Mueller to grab that handhold to get out of the snake pit did it?
Once Mr. Barr is confirmed I suspect the report will be made swiftly, and the Demoncrats world is going to flip upside, down so fast their heads won’t catch up for a long time. By the time they do, Hildabeasts’ statement will come true and a lot of heads will be separated from the offenders in this plot. There are several who should hang for this crime of Treason.
We can always hope and pray this comes true

The ‘documents’ would have to be damning and someone would have to convene a grand jury and prosecute. Otherwise it will end up as it has, nothing. @eagledriver50: Your comment is right on the mark!!!! 🙂

First – Pelosi and Schiff are done – finite after their attempt to secretly scoot our of the country into destinations that have no extradition treaties with the US.
Both – Pelosi and Schiff were accompanied by 7 others but we do not know yet who. What we do know is that each one of them brought their spouses, children and grandchildren and then some: 93 was the head count of family members.
Observing the large bulk of Pelosi’s luggage alone causes you to wonder if that planned trip was a permanent one rather than a 7 day trip.
If that weren’t enough Pelosi and Schiff both hand selected not only the flight crew but also the secret service personnel that included FBI agent(s).
          Their goose is cooked!

It’s suspicious when a planned FF and assassination attempt of president Trump and vice president Pence was scheduled for the same day as this secret flight of Pelosi, Schiff and their hand selected crew was planned. Strangely this individual just so happen to have a very detailed and hand drawn blueprint of the west wing/white house. Armed with an RPG type missile plus other military style weapons. The FBI had this guy under surveillance for more than 6 months and arrested him one day prior to Pelosi/Schiff endeavor to get out of Dodge.

Something about this whole affair just not a coincidence.

These leftist critters sure have a splendid and grandiose agenda including their ultimate goal: destroy and impeach our president.

I believe they overreached and it won’t play out the way of these planners: Word has it that about 80-140 congress critters in DC alone will be scooped up facing real justice ergo that’s why Pelosi and Schiff – two traitorous individuals – attempted to scoot out.

There is this: Pelosi during a CSPAN interview this past year stated clearly that she and others travelled to North Korea with the goal of selling missiles to the North Korean leader. Let that sink in!

They believe the ball is in their court – it isn’t and they would be better served really cold and long overdue justice.
Pelosi hiding millions of her ill gotten gains Banca de Mexico was intentional.

The Dems should learn one other lesson from history and the American Civil War. American undertakers made a quantum leap in marketing and techniques then, due to large losses far from home, some of the dead with wealthy enough families.

However when firing squads were careless or didn’t like someone, they might shoot them in the face, also depriving the undertakers of a paying specimen to ship home…

Dem deep state traitors might really do well to learn history.

The origins of the “dog tags’. During the Civil War, funeral homes lost a lot of business because the ‘unidentified’ dead were buried near the battlefields. Funeral homes started selling small tags (to be worn around the neck on a chain). These tags allowed bodies to be identified and brought back to their home for burial in family plots.

    • Just like the old saying goes, “be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.” At this point, I WANT them to try and impeach him…hear me out. They will run a 24/7 made for TV show investigation in the House. Let them.

The American people can then see with their own eyes what the Dems are and have been up to. Then, just before the Senate is to vote on a charge, POTUS will release the Kraken of ALL the declassified docs. EXPOSING ALL the Dems and their shenanigans.

The American people will then, and perhaps ONLY then, realize that they have been played. There will be OUTRAGE at ALL the Dems. People will want their heads, and Trump will GIVE them to them. He will call this what it is and has been, a coup de tat.

See, up until now it has all been a game, and only reputation harm has been inflicted by all their smoke and innuendo. They have tried to get POTUS poll numbers down thinking he would resign. Impeachment would be an actual LEGAL attempt to remove Trump. That would up the ante to REAL harm all based on smears and lies…making it a COUP.

ALL those then involved and exposed by the FISA and other document declass would be COMPLICIT in said coup especially those in the leadership who KNOW that this is a farce and always was. They will ALL then be committing TREASON, punishable by DEATH.

I believe that THIS is what Trump is doing now. He knows they are unreasonable, and he can not work with them, ANY of them. the only way to therefore win, and to actually drain the swamp, is to let them do it. He is giving them the rope to hang themselves, and they seem just stupid enough to do it.

If they ALL attempt this coup, he will let them, then blow it up. That is perhaps the ONLY way to truly COMPLETELY drain the swamp, by giving them enough rope, and then hanging them all on their OWN petard.( of thinking they could commit a coup de tat through the MSM and phony innuendo, smears, and fabricated stories, evidence, and badgered “witnesses”.

They ALL need to LITERALLY hang so no one is dumb enough or evil enough to try this on the NEXT Republican president (and they WILL if they are NOT punished fully)

Covington Catholic students targeting by the Media and the vicious nasty Commies on twitter may be a MAJOR misstep by the left. They just triggered the ‘MAMA BEAR’ emotions of many Americans.

…A lot of the people on this site who are making statements like the one above “If Barr turns out to be someone who facilitates Trump’s impeachment” and I have seen this many times in some form…I have this to say: PDJT IS THE ONE WE HIRED and WE GAVE HIM OUR TRUST.

PDJT IS USING OUTSIDE RESOURCES FOR HIS INTELLIGENCE AND THAT INCLUDES VETTING PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO BE IN CRITICAL POSITIONS. “Once Burned, Lesson Learned” is what he is using. Think about it. PDJT is NOT going to heed what the insiders are whispering in his ear BECAUSE HE GOT BURNED BY SESSIONS.

He NEEDS someone in a position that is so STRATEGIC that NO ONE notices how critical it is. Yes, some, including ones in congress are going to try to derail Barr’s nomination for just because reasons BUT IN THE END Barr and Whittaker will be the ONES THAT PDJT TRUSTS…The documents are the Sword of Damocles hanging over the heads of the evil doers and lo’ and behold when it falls, it will be a swift end. PDJT needs to get people in place and that takes time and PATIENCE…When the docs do come out, the WHOLE OF GOVERNMENT IS GOING TO BE TAKING DOWN TO THE STUDS!!!

NOTE: There are some on this site who are military background, myself included, who have been in situations that require out of the box thinking and this is one of those times. PDJT is thinking outside the box and people want to keep putting him in a box and that is why he is destroying them. When ambushed, you move towards the fire or take a position to let the enemy come to you…The situation we are in right now is very fluid and PDJT needs our prayers and support.

Veselnitskaya represented Prevezon Holdings, a Cyprus-based real estate company in a money laundering lawsuit brought by the DOJ. On Tuesday, the overzealous federal prosecutors in New York’s Southern District (SDNY), claimed Veselnitskaya submitted to the court an “intentionally misleading declaration in opposition to a government motion.” According to the SDNY, Veselnitskaya’s motion, presented “supposed investigative findings by the Russian government—findings purportedly exonerating Veselnitskaya’s clients – under the false pretense that these findings had been independently drafted by the Russian government.” I think Fusion is also assisting in this case as well.

I think Simpson claims he met with her before the Trump Tower meeting before and afterwards but it was in connection with the money laundering case or another case.

      Yes.
Simpson denied knowing anything about the “Magnitsky Girl’s” meeting at Trump Tower.

      Q. It has widely been reported
3 Ms. Veselnitskaya and Mr. Akhmetshin and others met
4 with Donald Trump, Junior, Paul Manafort, and Jared
5 Kushner on June 9th, 2016. Were you aware of this

      7 A. No.
8 Q. It didn’t come up at the dinner the night
      9 before?
      10 A. No.
11 Q. When did you first become aware of the
      12 meeting?
13 A. Around the time it broke in the New York
      14 Times. I was stunned.
15 Q. Is it correct that that means it wasn’t
16 discussed at the dinner on the 10th?
17 A. No, but, again, you know, the dinner on
18 the 10th was I was at one end of the table talking
19 to a woman about her biography on Simon Bolivar and
20 she was at the other end with Rinat and she doesn’t

One of our CTH brethren offered this little riff which I hope offers a potentially positive reply to your question — I pray there’s something to it:

I view the nomination of Bill Barr to AG as the ultimate use of leverage against Mueller, since Bill and Bob are such “good friends” with Bill playing the Big Brother role.

Do you remember the part in the movie,The Godfather 2, during the courtroom scenes?
In one scene, Vincent Pantangali (Bob Mueller) is about to testify against Michael Corleone (President Trump) under oath…

But before he says anything, Corleone brings in Pantangali’s brother (Bill Barr) from Sicily.
Upon seeing his brother, Pantangali recants his bogus story, and zips his mouth shut… He remains on his best behavior from that point forward.

The point of the analogy is that Bob Mueller will not pull any more bullsh*t with Bill Barr as AG.

Seems to me the Democrats are putting all their chips on the table hoping for a straight flush with a two of a kind hand. The question is will the American people go along with this coup. I think not.

Conservative media needs to portray the Democrat agenda as a Presidential coup with no regards for ordinary Americans and their economic or national security.

What is to prevent the Gang-Of-Eight from issuing another order/document telling the IC to not release the declassified documents ordered released by President Trump?

      Short answer: nothing.
But you may be missing something here.

The letter from the Go8 had NOTHING TO DO with PDJT backing off the declassification.
They do not have the authority.
They can release all the orders/documents that they want
They can hew and cry all they want.
Remember the Nunes Memo………….it was released despite all of that.
The Chief Executive has ultimate declassification authority of all material generated by agencies within his branch.
EO 13256 spells out some of what can and cannot be classified.

PDJT made a strategic decision not to declassify AT THAT TIME.
This was based, in part, on the fact that doing so could trigger NEW “obstruction of justice” track for the SCO to investigate.
AT THAT TIME Sessions was AG and RR was running Mueller’s operation.

The leadership at DOJ has changed and is changing further.
Declassification will occur when it provides maximum impact and benefit to POTUS.
This could be for future Supreme Court involvement or Congressional actions.

But note…..it may not save PDJT from being removed.

Sundance writes that the “letter reeks of corruption, manipulative intent, and between-the-lines admissions of gross intelligence abuses.”

The link you are looking for is gross intelligence abuses known or sanctioned by the Gang-Of-Eight. So what are these abuses?

I submit that these abuses can only be determined by looking at President Trump’s decision to walk back his announcement that the key Russia-gate intelligence would be declassified tells us almost as much as if he’d tweeted it out, unredacted. For what it tells us is that public knowledge of the contents would constitute a major break in relations with at least one key ally “Her Majesty’s Government”.

So it’s highly probable that the Gang-Of-Eight abuses are connected to the use of 5Eyes.

The Capability for abuse has existed:
AUTHORIZATION FOR ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE FOR FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE PURPOSES

SEC. 102. ø50 U.S.C. 1802¿ (a)(1) Notwithstanding any other law, the President, through the Attorney General, may authorize electronic surveillance without a court order under this title to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods of up to one year if the Attorney General certifies in writing under oath.

The UniParty Deep State know they can’t convict PDT in the Senate despite Romney and others. So, the next best thing is to keep amping the innuendo. That’s what the Buzzfeed story about Trump suborning Cohen is all about. That’s what the Mueller investigation is all about. It is about creating the perception that Trump is crooked and colluded with the “thug” Putin to steal the election.

We’ll only know in hindsight if Trump not declassifying and getting a prosecutor going after all those that subverted the constitution was correct or not. Nunes and others in the House who investigated these matters have always felt that the President should declassify and nearly succeeded in convincing him to do just that. Rosenstein dissuaded Trump however. As I said only in hindsight will we know if Nunes was correct and Trump got snookered or if not going after the coup plotters was a better decision.

You might look at their publication standards when it comes to anonymous sources. I know it doesn’t feel like CNN/NYT/et al have any standards in this arena, they actually do and Buzzfeed has been more lax in the past. This means that sources can be obfuscated to a greater degree while still getting articles published.

In this case, I suspect it’s because leaking to Buzzfeed meant they could get away with a “senior law enforcement official” with knowledge of the investigation, whereas other source reporting standards might have made them specify whether they’re with SDNY or with some random AG office who has had a little overlap/discussion with Mueller.

Who’s coordinating this resistance movement? I do not believe everything is just happening organically. Someone’s got to be the final person in charge of determining this course of action. That’s the person we need to keep eyes on.

The Swamp is organic. You don’t really need Mr. Big, they all know instinctively what to do, and the bureaucracy is wrapped around executing that, to protect the Swamp first and foremost. Trump is a threat and they know it.

When Schumer commented in a loose moment that “The Intelligence Agencies have ways of screwing you if you go against them as Trump is doing”, he was speaking truth. They can and do. They know how to attack a threat.

Trump is an existential threat to the Swamp, and they know it. They organically work to parry him, and erode his status. McConnell/Ryan have been doing their part all along, and so will Pelosi.

The Swamp confirms all appointees and top level positions. They don’t confirm known threats to the Swamp, you may depend. The organism absorbs them and on we go.

There is unlikely to be a man behind the curtain. I prefer to loosely compare this to the struggles between factions in the toppling of the czar during the 1918 revolution. Much of that dissension among the factions concerned ideology and emphasis. As you know, Lenin prevailed and then died as Stalin worked his way to control.

There are money-heavy ideologues who are courted and get heard. There are special interest ideologues who pull the strings and manipulate agendas.

This impeachment drive is more personal than ideological, in my estimation. Schumer and Pelosi don’t mind the pressure or the message or the distraction. It has a great appeal to those who want payback for Clinton. They have long memories and especially for grudges which eat at them.

Steny Hoyer is the House Majority Leader, but he is not a shill for Pelosi. Pelosi will do next to nothing to block the impeachment crowd and Hoyer will stand away from it. Much drama and piss and vinegar will be sprayed around, but when it comes time for Hoyer to get the vote, it will already be counted for the majority or it will fall short. That is when Hoyer will have leverage.

Impeachment is only the leveling of the charge. It is an indictment. A great deal of how “solid” such an indictment might be depends on the wording of the Mueller Report. If it ticks off a list of probable illegalities and loads of circumstantial evidence, the report will be an important asset to the impeachment movement. If the report is hazy and full of inconclusive stuff, it will play into Hoyer’s hands.

The Democrat House members are torn between the impeachment yahoos and the “realists” who believe that impeachment is a distraction that could really hurt them in 2020.

In order for the impeachment trial in the Senate to convict the president, 2/3 (67) Senators will have to vote to convict. Cummings, Schiff, Nadler and Pelosi will have zero influence among the Senators other than the roles they may play in presenting the House case for Impeachment. Both Hoyer and Pelosi know that conviction in the Senate is almost beyond possibility.

President Donald J. Trump will make a mockery of the impeachment crowd during his run-up to the November 2020 election. He will ballyhoo his accomplishments and proclaim that the DemonizingRats are such Sad Sacks that they are trying to assassinate him by impeachment. Hoyer and cooler heads are perfectly aware of this scenario and they want to avoid it.

The DemonizingRats have got themselves in a bind. They have to get rid of the Electoral College system or vastly increase voter fraud or get as many Hispanics and other immigrants into their ranks as possible.

Our folks on the side of the national political divide which favors limited government, popular sovereignty, and the Constitutional rule of law and order can, for the most part, identify their principles, moral tenets and intellectual resources. The folks on the side of redirection through ill defined and amorphous change have a much tougher job of describing their vision and selling it. They are socialists with fascist tendencies, but they try not to say so. Bernie and Anemia Occasional-Cortex are openly promoting their revolution against the Constitution and the republic tempered by popular sovereignty. A great many DemonizingRats don’t want to take that bull by the tail. Impeachment is not their favorite idea.

It’s good that our host stays on top of all this and models the Swamp’s intentions so comprehensively. It’s necessary work. Truth is its own purpose.

However, I think the Swamp’s Muh Russia conspiracy is dead as disco. The conspirators can’t get rid of Trump, the conspiracy’s goal, so they’re effectively dead. The remainder here is a rearguard action by the Swamp, to avoid exposure and perhaps jail for conspirators. Barr will help guide them through this and ensure only a few little fish get slaps on the wrist, much like Wolfe got.

But if the Swamp keeps pushing this, it’ll boomerang on them. Barr can’t protect them if they reject a reasonable settlement. They can become electorally vulnerable in 2020, and Trump can make sure they do. With Mueller gone, he’s got the hammer.
