    Just landed on oversight.gov:

This is about the missing Strzok andPage texts. Has redactions and does not include a transcript of the recovered texts.

This was my idea a year ago. I posted it on Breibart but had no way of getting it started. If all Trump supporters just gave whatever they could, between $20 and $2,000, we could get it fully funded in three months. Congress already passed, I think way back in 2006, the legislation that would allow the wall to be built. They just never funded it. So, if Trump had the funding, there would be nothing they could do to stop him.

It’s not a matter of having money on hand. The Federal Government is not allowed to spend money absent a Congressional Appropriation. This is why “government shutdowns” are a thing. There is money available to spend, but they are not allowed to do so. To spend without an appropriation is a violation of the Anti-Deficiency Act.

That’s only for tax generated funds, I believe. That committee that Lieawatha created, for instance, used the money from fines & etc. however they wanted. Much of the civil forfeiture money is spent by the various departments without Congressional approval as I seem to recall.

        • Lost says:

Most of the civil asset forfeiture shenanigans you hear about are local governments, not federal.

Warren’s pet agency is structured that way, but that’s more because they have open-ended appropriations that allow for it. If Congress modified how their appropriations work, they could be unable to spend money no matter how much fee or fine revenue they make. This is what prevents money that DHS/CBP already has from going to a wall in the first place, incidentally. There have been riders on appropriations bills blocking using any funds for a wall for years. It’s not a matter of “lacking funds”, or at least not completely. It’s a matter of lacking authority to spend funds on that purpose. This gets oversimplified a lot by the media, because it’s in the favor of the folks who don’t want a wall to confuse the issue. We don’t lack a wall because we don’t have money. We lack a wall because they refuse to allow funds that exist to be used to build a wall.

President Reagan addressed the nation from the Oval Office on important issues. I wish the President would do the same. Explain to the citizens how much is spent annually on illegals (welfare, medical, incarceration, etc.), how many MS gang members, terrorists are captured at the border, how many are not….. the crimes they commit, the number of victims and the impact on victims/families/society. Get personal about it….how would you feel if your family was affected by this violence? Explain how those funds could be used to help our own citizens (ie, homeless vets, those with drug, mental health issues, victims of diseasters like Campfire1, etc.).
Just lay it all out in a calm, measured way as RR did so effectively.
The time has come for the citizens to decide if this is really the path we wish to continue traveling? Are we to remain a sovereign nation or not?
I know Newt Gingrich may be considered the swamp, yet he could always articulate an issue……he should be asked to help the President communicate this message more effectively.

Folks we are winning and the signs are everywhere if you are willing to open your eyes! If you think this would have occurred without our President, you would be sadly mistaken. China is seeing more and more signs that if they don’t give in to our demands, there will not be a need for any trade deal with our country because all the corporations that do business in China and ship back into our country will be all gone and back in the good old USA!

    From the article linked above:

Apple is expanding its presence in the U.S. as a part of a billion-dollar investment that the company said would generate at least 5,000 new jobs.

The iPhone maker will build a new $1 billion campus in Austin, Texas, and open new offices in Seattle, San Diego and Culver City, California, to broaden its U.S. footprint, according to a statement released early Thursday morning.

    From the article linked above:

The Labor Department said initial jobless claims fell 27,000 to just 206,000 for the week ending December 1, easily beating the consensus forecast.

Did management ever tell me how to vote or try to use leverage to change my vote? Uh, no. Nope.

    • The jist of it!
District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan on Wednesday ordered Flynn’s lawyers to hand over two documents: a memo that then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe wrote after speaking with Flynn ahead his Jan. 24, 2017 interview with two FBI agents and the FBI summary of notes taken during that same interview.

That summary, known as an FD-302, was compiled on Aug. 22, 2017 by the two FBI agents who interviewed Flynn. It is unclear why the summary was put together seven months after the Flynn interview.

The delay in filing the Form 302 is totally in violation of the FBI’s procedures. Courtesy of Mark Wauck, a retired FBI agent (emphasis added):

Full text of “FBI Manual of Administrative Operations and Procedures (MAOP) 2007”

10-13.4 Initialing Original (FD-302) and Dating

The original of an FD-302 is to be read and initialed where his/her name is typed by the reporting employee who will thus certify to the accuracy and completeness of the interview. FD-302 is to be dated in upper right corner and is to bear the date of which the typing was completed; the date of dictation is to appear on FD-302 at the lower right corner where other data is set out. If rough draft is made, the date of the rough draft shall be date of dictation. Date of dictation must be within five working days of the action.

Judge Sullivan wants to see the documents provided to Flynn’s counsel but also demands relevant documents from the FBI and special counsel:

Sullivan also ordered the special counsel to hand over any other memos or interview notes relevant to Flynn’s interview.

The judge set a Friday deadline to turn over the documents. He will decide on Flynn’s sentence next Monday.

There were several – at least 3 – phones involved. It appears that the first two which cover the time Strzok was at the FBI were recovered and examined by the OIG. It was the iPhone that was issued to him during the short time he was with the SCO that was wiped.

Mueller is a dirt bag, but he isn’t responsible for the wiping of the iPhone that was issued to Strzok for use while he was with the SCO. That phone was covered by DOJ procedures, not FBI procedures, and was surrendered when Strzok left the SCO. It was subjected to standard DOJ procedures for re-assignment which meant being wiped prior to being handed to the next guy.

You can read about all of that stuff in the OIG report here: https://oig.justice.gov/reports/2018/i-2018-003523.pdf

Strictly speaking, it wasn’t by accident if it was following policy. You can say it was bad policy – and I’ll agree with you – but it was policy. His phone was examined by a DOJ records officer prior to being wiped who stated that nothing of any substance was found. Whether or not that’s believable is another matter.

And, the only schemer referred for prosecution to date is McCabe. And that wasn’t for the scheme, just the lying to the FBI for leaking. Others were referred for internal investigations of violating policy. It is likely that Strzok was one such, and his firing was the result of the investigation.

And while there has been a report that a grand jury was investigating McCabe, if true, there has been no court action.

This Clinton Foundation hearing is already a farce. The Democrat keeps bringing up how Cohen pled guilty to campaign finance violations/a felony and that President Trump directed it – “it’s a matter of court record!” he proclaims.

Constantly claims that IRS and FBI declined to bring any case against CF.

The other witness, Mr Hackney, is a complete geek very honored to have worked with the IRS. Just now says he doesn’t believe Conservatives were targeted (and he worked with Lois Lerner!).

CLINTON FOUNDATION INVESTIGATED ITSELF (HOUSE QUESTIONED WHY)

    Observations of facts (IMO)
Experts found that the Clinton Foundation itself, its own lawyers, warned that there was a strong possibility that donors were being made promises “quid pro quo” in favors of Secretary Clinton, when she was in the Obama Administration in return for gifts in the foundation.
These are not Republicans or partisans saying it; these are internal documents of lawyers hired by the Clinton Foundation to find out what was going on wrong in the Clinton Foundation.

QUESTION: Why would the Clintons hire lawyers to see what was going on?

IMO; If I remember correctly Chelsea Clinton was worried what was happening, so an investigation was a smoke and mirror (look, we investigated our own foundation) to allegedly covering their pay to play.

Criminal Acts do not go away from pretending you just discovered your criminal acts and reporting on it. Criminals who confess to their criminal acts are not forgiven according to the law.

The Trump Foundations has de minimis errors which is common in the business world. The Clinton Foundation allegedly is the largest criminal organization in U.S. History.

“Does Google now know the full extent to which its online platforms were exploited by Russian actors in the election two years ago?” Rep. Jerry Nadler, a Democrat from New York and ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, asked the search engine’s chief executive during Tuesday’s hearing.

”We have – we undertook a very thorough investigation, and, in 2016, we now know that there were two main ad accounts linked to Russia which advertised on Google for about $4,700 in advertising,” Pichai responded.

“A total of $4,700?” Nadler asked to confirm.

“That’s right,” the Google executive replied.”

    Suspicious Cat!

After a number of steps by the OIG, “was the recovery of thousands of text messages within the period of the missing text messages, December 15, 2016 through May 17, 2017, as well as hundreds of other text messages outside the gap period that had not been produced by the FBI due to technical problems with its text message collection tool.”

The time period in question is after the 2016 presidential election and up to the appointment of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel. Page worked on the Special Counsel investigation until July 2017 and used the same phone during that time period. The same goes for Strzok, who also worked for Mueller and had the same phone. When Page and Strzok left the Special Counsel, their phones were wiped by Special Counsel Records Officer. DOJ maintains this was simply standard procedure in order to give the device to another user.

Only the iPhones issued by the DOJ were wiped at the time they left the SCO.Their FBI phones were turned over to the OIG and had not been wiped.

Wow! This opening statement by the two Independent analysts is dynamite. This is my take on the Witness Introduction on Methodology and their bullet-pointed Conclusions.

Background: I used to work non-profit for many years, for a 501-(c)-(3), so am familiar with having an independent certified audit done, as well as being able to read an organization’s 990s (and underlying schedules), as well as the Audit and Statements (including notes). I read a couple of years of the Clinton Foundation’s 990’s in the early Obama years, which were online, but which have since been amended, due to bad accounting practices. I’ve never been able to obtain copies of their certified audits or responses (Typically called a Management Letter).

    CF = Clinton Foundation
    CGI = Clinton Global Initiative
PEPFAR = President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief

    Methodology used by Witness Firm

Attempted to reconcile the CF 990 tax returns to actual revenues and expenses. They used FOIA requests and other investigative tools to do so. They were unable to reconcile the numbers filed with the IRS and the actual revenues/expenses from the CF

The firm reviewed all of the Constent Decrees by various States, to determine insufficiencies in financial reporting by the CF, as well as the penalties levied by these states.

Sourced original Contracts and MOUs (Memorandum of Understanding) with foreign governments, as well as all e-mails they could using normal investigatory means, for the CF.

    Conclusions:

The CF, CGI, and PEPFAR organizations were comingled to the point that there was no separating their separate financial activities.

The CF was acting as a foreign agent by 2004 in business activities for CF, CGI, and PEPFAR, and should have been required to register as such.

The CF, CGI, and PEPFAR failed basic 501 (c)(3) tax exemption criteria from the get-go. All of their revenues were taxable.

1/10th of 1% of the CF donors gave over 80% funding to the Foundation

By 2004, the majority of the CF’s programs did not adhere to the purposes for which the CF was chartered, per its Articles of Incorporation filed in 1997. (Establish WJC’s Presidential Librabry). Note: As far as I know, the CF’s Articles of Incorporation have never been amended to fix this fatal flaw.

The officers of the CF falsely attested that the funds pursued were not for charitable purposes, rather, they were profit-oriented to benefit the CF, which more closely functioned not as a non-profit, but rather, advanced as its sole purpose, the personal interests of a closely held family firm for the exclusive benefit of that [Clinton] family, and which were therefore TAXABLE.

Therefore, donors to the to the Clinton Foundation are also subject to taxes.

    ———-
That was kind of a quick review of the introduction to the witness testimony of the independent firm. Each of these two principals then recited their CV’s. They stated for the record that they did not know any of the members of the Congressional Committee, that they are totally non-partisan, and it’s their business (for profit) to “fix fires” at non-profit organizations.

“Dynamite” doesn’t begin to cover this information. We’ll see if the DOJ/FBI ducks for cover, or if they actually begin to pursue this.

The last thing I’d mention is that Rep. Meadows stated that the annual revenue of official charities in this country exceeds a TRILLION dollars a year, and if viewed as a group, would represent the 10th largest revenue of a STATE government in this country. And who is watching that store? As TAXPAYERS, we need to get out the pitchforks (or yellow vests, take your pick) and DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY.

Exactly, Justin. I’m not a CPA, and I know this! And have known this since reading those 990’s many years ago. It’s as clear as the nose on my face that the Clinton Foundation IS, and always HAS been, a money laundering machine, writ large!

I’m kind of laughing at Meadows trying to bully this guy into giving the Committee its working papers, etc., when they’ve already given them to DOJ and the IRS. Meadows knows that getting those documents out of either of those agencies is going to be like pulling teeth. It’s very obvious this firm has peformed this extensive audit/investigation on spec, and expects a large payout if things go their way.

How badly do you think the DF donors are quaking in their boots right now? I’d be freaking out if I were in that group.

I think They were laundering State Department funds in largess and giving the handler the benefit of receiving a skim off the top via via the donation write offs. That is why many of the foreign donors, most notably the Canada Connection weren’t open to ratting them out. If they are legit donations, the big donors… whom also co mingled in foreign affairs which HRC and Bill both had a hand in wouldn’t mind showing the burden of proof as required by the IRS. Most likely they are all corrupt and that is why all the HRC connections are in the middle of crisis’ here and elsewhere. They create a crisis to profit from it…. and most recently her asking for donations in the Florida Election Scam… which has turned into a legit ongoing Rico Case as of today with lesser known subjects being the beginning of the indictments.
