C817 : Another great tweet from PDJT striking to the heart of what GHWB and the Bush family wanted his funeral to be ! I also noted President Trump not only offered the Bush family the official visiting dignatary residence, but FLOTUS Trump arranged an official reception where they could meet with old friends to further that objective ! Contrast the President’s low-key presence at the ceremony and his greeting of former White House occupants with the waspish ‘ iron mask ‘ of Cankles Clinton . Seems she’s grown little since her days at Wellesley . And I’m thankful daily Americans saw her for what she is . We didn’t ‘ dodge a bullet ‘ we dodged a war

Thanks for mentioning the funeral, millwright. Allow me to comment, please, Treepers, and if you don’t want to hear about the funeral, skip me over–avoid writing a half mile of Bush complaints because this has nothing to do with complimenting the Bushes on anything.

First, let’s take out the trash so we can move on to the positive and the dignified.

Hillary Clinton never shows up for anything unless she makes it all about HER, all the time. She was invited knowing the wishes of H.W. Bush were that all politics be left at the door. He didn’t want a McCain Funeral spectacle as America’s last image of him.
Hillary, of course, didn’t care. She had to perform for the Antifa/RESIST/radical feminist crowd’s entertainment and approval. Hillary launched her next political failure yesterday, known as her run for the 2020 nomination for president.

When gracious and respectful Mrs. Trump attempted to greet the Clinton’s and was met with a sheepish half grin from Bill, his message was, “I’d love nothing more than to give you a hug but the Battle Axe over here gave me strict orders to snub you. Dang it.”.

Hillary’s icy stare and half nod of her head was staged and God bless Mrs. Trump for simply leaving her to sit there and marinate in her hate and resentment. Senator Simpson commented that hatred corrupts the vessel which carries it. If that shoe fits, Hillary, by all means.

Viewers we also treated to the Obama’s staged performances. As he sat with the high tilted head which comes across as arrogance and elitism, did Barack recall his very recent comment that our President has ‘mommy issues’? Senator Simpson spoke fondly of his mother and also H.W.’s mother. The gentleman from Canada said it was his mother’s home cooking that sustained him as a young man working at a laborer’s job. G.W. Bush referenced his mother, Barbara, more than once and even the pastor mentioned Barbara more than once.

Did Mr. Obama come away thinking all rich white guys have ‘mommy issues’ or did it occur to him that his concern over same indicates its he that has the deep-seated Mommy Issue?

Mrs. Obama was caught on camera at times looking rather bored, rather slouched in her seat, quite Michelle-esque. As she batted those extremely thick, unnatural looking fake eyelashes, it was easy to recall her comment about only being proud of her country because her husband was going to be president or not being a particular fan of honoring our flag. Her body language supported her past comment that living in the People’s House was like prison. Somehow it seemed she would rather be shaking her stuff on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, bashing President Trump over at The View or pushing her new book on late nite TV.

Then the refreshing aspect of the Presidential Front Row. It’s being said President Trump seemed low key. What, they expected him to make a scene? Of course, he was low key. It was a State Funeral. As sitting President, it was a time of reflection, a time to look ahead, a time to be humble, moved, and to embrace the human emotions that go with a solemn occasion. There was a split second on video when G.W. was returning to his seat after his Eulogy when President Trump looked at him with great empathy, as if he was about to stand up and embrace Bush. The congregation was moved to tears and then applause and President Trump no doubt wanted to offer comfort. He, too, greatly loved and admired his own father. Again, there is only a flash of President Trump’s face in the film coverage but it was one of the most poignant, emotional moments for me.

Our First Lady, of course, represented tne American Woman with grace and dignity throughout the funeral process. Laura Bush called it ‘sweet’. Indeed, but it was so much more. Melania also showed respect, warmth and she extended an offer of friendship and building a bridge.

Bless those who mourn not just today, but every day. May God bless those that are unfairly maligned and may He swiftly discipline those that slander and speak evil lies against the Trump Family.

Wonderful post farmhand! Tears! Who doesn’t think of their own loved ones during a funeral (or wedding)? PDT was very close to his parents and has always said he had a wonderful family and upbringing; just because it wasn’t in public service does not negate that.

I also agree with you on Obama’s “mommy issues” comments. I believe his mother was as cold and aloof as he is, and he resented his grandmother, even though she’s the one who came to his rescue. Once again, he uses whatever buzzwords are popular to sound relevant, disparage any opponent and remain on what he believes to be his entitled pedestal.

          Once again, great post!

    The Green-Antifa Synergy

The following video shows excerpts from a Green Youth rally in Germany in the summer of 2017, not long before the September elections. Two Green Party leaders, Cem Ozdemir and Katrin Goering-Eckardt, were in attendance. Their faces are circled in the screen-cap above. Also circled is a logo with the Antifa (“anti-fascist”) flag — the event was obviously a joint enterprise for the Green Party and the Antifa groups.

Listening to these people speak, it’s quite clear that “climate” is very much a postmodern religion. They speak with at least as much self-righteous zeal as the most fervent evangelical preacher.

And it’s not just that they’re true believers, but also that they’re earnestly convinced that they know best for everyone; that they must force everybody else to do or not do certain things. Implicit in that belief is the demand that if others can’t easily be made to do what their climate religion requires, then stern muscular well-armed men must be delegated the job of MAKING them obey. And if that fails, well, the stubborn unbelievers will just be quietly eliminated from society, for the good of us all.

In other words, it’s just like Islam.

Years ago, and long before Erick Erickson went off his rocker with Never Trump nonsense, he ran a decent conservative website, Redstate. Big following. He even organized annual convention-style get together’s so commenters could meet and commune together.

The posting rules tightened as some offenders ignored them. Rather than simply purge comments that offended, Redstate deleted the ability to comment at all. Erickson owned the site and what he and his contributors posted was out there to be read but no one could comment in agreement or opposition. Today, Redstate no longer exists.

Yes, Funeral Week concludes today and it went off very well, nit nearly as caustic as McCain Funeral Week.

And BTW, for those in the media (including some at Fox) that still insist on the boorish mantra that President Trump wasn’t invited to Barbara Bush’s funeral, that is a lie. The First Couple were invited but President Trump followed protocol of a sitting President not attending the funeral of a former First Lady. Review your videos. Michelle Obama went to Nancy Reagan’s funeral alone. Barack also followed established presidential protocol. Or went golfing, who knows.

What worries me about this Migration Pact is that ultra-poor and ultra-violent people from all over the world will migrate to Central American countries who signed on thinking that the Pact wouldn’t affect them.

The ultra-poor and ultra-violent migratory hordes will then “caravan” right over our southern border just like the Honduran caravaner who gave birth on US soil to her darling anchor baby as a reward for breaking our laws and violating our border.

        https://nypost.com/2018/12/06/honduran-woman-in-migrant-caravan-gives-birth-on-us-soil/

        FTA:

“The woman, who was eight months pregnant, was taken to a hospital after complaining about abdominal pain the day after her arrest, Customs and Border Protection said.

The family was released from custody Sunday, pending the outcomes of their immigration cases.

Univision reported that the family is seeking asylum and hoped to join family in Columbus, Ohio, while their cases are pending.

Maryury Serrano Hernandez, 19, told the network that giving birth in the US was a “big reward” for the family’s grueling journey.”

The woman, her husband, her 2 year old, and now her anchor baby are all home and dry. Anchored to the good ole USA with no skills, no language in common with the USA, no understanding of our way of life, and no knowledge of our political structure.

Anchored to the USA because they broke the law, violated an international frontier, and managed to time it so the female dropped a kid while here. Beautiful. This is replacement migration in full swing. And this gal has only started xeroxing herself and her husband. Two kids at less than 20? Oh, this is grand, America. Meet your conquerors.

“We will conquer Europe with our wombs.” Remember that kindly Imam saying that during the Migrant Horde’s descent upon Western Europe?

Well, here’s your version of the same, Lady Liberty. How do you like it now? It wasn’t going to happen here. Only “weak soy boi” Western Europe was “dumb enough” to let that happen. Dumb? America is dumb to let this happen given the horror that has become Western Europe.

I thought the President wasn’t going to let any of those caravan people in? And I thought catch and release was over and the migrants demanding asylum were going to be held until processed? Why wasn’t this family detained the maximum time permissible by law?

Why weren’t these people processed expeditiously upon arrest, given the woman’s condition, and immediately “RTU’d for failing Selection” (sent home with their tails between their legs)?

What, exactly, is going on with this storming our border? Does anyone have any ideas? It sounds like “business as usual.”

Most people in CA believe what the MSM feeds them:

        1. Illegal aliens do not use any welfare, because “that is against the law” and “you need a social security number to get welfare”

        2. Illegal aliens only do the jobs that nobody else wants to do & “do you want to pay
$14 for a head of lettuce”?

        3. Illegal aliens pay more than their fair share of taxes, because they pay income tax, but cannot collect social security.

        4. You are a racist if you are against illegal immigration.

        5. Many people don’t think at all. They float through life worrying about a paycheck and the latest football game.

That being said, there are many millions of us that know the truth, but we have been disenfranchised from the political system in CA by fraud. We have no voice in government. The only recourse now is in the courts, which are biased against us, or a revolution against the government. That won’t happen as long as the MSM continues brainwashing the public.

Selling our homes will give us more than we paid, so we can purchase a house for less and live a life with less stress and high taxes and dangers and illnesses from aliens being allowed in. We can be sure Pelosi and her relative Newsom (the upcoming new worse than moonbeam governor) sure won’t want to part with any of their millions either. So, what’s left. Are we to accept oppression and death and not ‘bind the strong man?”
That is not “Divine Right” The founders set up a system that has worked for over 200 years (the Democrats are trying to undo now.) As far as I can see there is nothing in the Ten commandments that says: “thou shalt not stand up for oppression and let thy family, and nation be destroyed.”

I think that what MacArthur meant was that the Founders and the Revolution was a response to the injustices of the British Crown. The Founders and the American Revolution were not started on a whim or initiated without cause.
“Christians don’t start revolutions” means that if there is a revolution Christians didn’t instigate or start it. The Christian response/position is to uphold righteousness and if that means to defend against tyranny by means of war, then that’s the last resort, because otherwise Christians are to live quiet and peaceable lives, respecting the civil authorities for the benefit of society as a whole.
In other words, no revolution has been started by Christians so as to overthrow a government, but in pursuing justice and inalienable rights Christians would consider even war. However the preferred method by which to change hearts and minds is the Gospel of salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Always. Bellicose encounters are the last resort.

Thank you I love John MacArthur. I attended a Church that was normal but the young Pastor was so liberal he thought PM Trudeau was a right wing conservative. My Father and I came up with “the John MacArthur test”, if it passed the test it was Christian if it didn’t it was liberal.

I stood up to the Pastor and his all of his crazy ideas. He tried to bring Syrian refugees into our small village and he was met with great resistance in the congregation and soon after left our Church.

His description of the church during the “dark ages” is simply not historically correct. Corruption and false prophets occur in every age whenever people are involved. This does not mean that Catholics lack a relationship with the Lord or an understanding of His word. Reading the religious writings of the time reveal quite the opposite. There will always be people who convert to certain religions to attain power, look at the history of Islam. Even Buddhism had political advantages in certain regions during certain eras. This does not mean the Church was inherently bad.

It is amazing to me that a Protestant pastor says that Christians are not supposed to participate in revolution. We must submit to the power of the government to be a good Christian. But the authority of the Church? That he can rebel against? Protestantism is one giant rebellion against the church that Christ founded. The pastor says we must reform the government from within, what about the church? The counter-reformation was about reforming the Catholic Church, because from time to time any institution must trim the rot and do away with corruption. Now is a time where this type of restoration is badly needed again.

        1. No such things as “good” Christians. (“There is none good, not one.”)
        2. We ARE instructed to live under whoever God has allowed to rule over us on Earth, unless that rule includes sinning against God (Romans 13:11)
        3. No one in government or any other institution will be changed/reformed without responding to the Gospel, and that is a one on one job delegated to all Christians.

Historical correction, the ROMAN Catholic Church is the first Protestant church. The Lutherans are the second. Now there are too many to count. The original Church still exists and is usually referred to as the Orthodox Church although in the beginning it was simply called The Way. An excellent book that highlights the astonishing differences between the original Church and Western Christianity that developed over time and ultimately split from the original Church after 1,400 years oof unity is The Orthodox Way by the Oxford scholar and convert, Ware.

Very true. One of the interesting historical intersections that prodeced changes in Christianity was the Church’s response to the need to convert the Germanic peoples. Their beliefs and customs forged what we consider “normal” Christian behavior in the West.

Praying with hands together on your knees? This was derived from the Germanic custom used to beg a favor of a more powerful lord. The “orans” position of standing with arms raised and looking to the heavens fell into disuse. You can see the orans position illustrated in the paintings on the walls of the Roman catacombs.

The development of warring orders and war theories that more or less blessed warfare in heretofore unheard of ways? Germanic people are warlike. They would not convert for a lamb, but considered it worthy to covert for a Lion.

There are a lot of other changes detailed in this book: The Germanizaion of Early Medieval Christianity by James C. Russell

While you are at it, you might try a translation of the Old Saxon Heliand, a Germanicized retelling of the Gospel intended to help Charlemagne’s clergy convert the newly-conquered Old Saxons. It is amusing and you can really see how the story had to change in cultural ways in order to catch the interest of a “heroic” and tribal culture.

I enjoyed the interview with Rev. MacArthur, but I agree he appears to have fallen into, at least, a bit of the revisionist history trap.  The two issues I noted was 1) that the founders were deists. I don’t recall the exact number, but among the signers of the DoI, over half had seminary degrees. Out of the over 200 who were active participants in the DoI and the drafting of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the vast majority were decidedly and unapologetically Christian. Among the very few who were irreligious, the most notable were Ethan Allen, Charles Lee, and Henry Dearborne. Later, Thomas Paine decided there was no Providential God, just a general providence. Before publishing “Age of Reason”, he was soundly rebuked by Franklin, then afterwards by both Adams, Rush and many others. The public and private affirmations made by the founders about their Christian faith are extensive. The few do not define the majority.

Secondly, Rev. MacArthur stated that Christians can’t start a revolution and that there’s debate on the validity of the American Revolution. Again, he’s lacking in primary source info. The Continental Congress agreed with the good reverend that they could not start a war, but through debate, attending church services together, reading the Bible and prayer, they determined they absolutely had every blessing of Heaven to defend themselves. After over 10 years of attempting peaceful redress of grievances with England, the British Regulars arrived to disarm the people of the colonial Boston area. The Regulars fired the first shot. Lexington and Concord. The shot heard around the world. There is no debate, except from those who believe gov’t is the only higher power, do not believe self-defense is a legitimate use of force and shape the narratives that support their views.

He wants to recreate the Soviet Empire with himself as the Czar, and humiliate and humble the US in the bargain. He had willing accomplices in power in the US before 2016, which is why there is no evidence of collusion between him and Trump before the election, because one of them was Trump’s opponent. Trump is willing to deal with Putin as business partner, as long as Putin honors his side of the bargain. If Putin doesn’t, the deal’s off. Not necessarily all the deals, because to Trump every deal’s a separate deal, but certainly whatever deal Putin’s flouting at a minimum.

Russia doesn’t even have the GDP of Texas, the only way Russia becomes a threat to our nation is if these NeoCon fools (along with the Brit empire) get their way and finally force Putin into war.

Other than very old hatred of Russia by the NeoCon’s, and the globalist cabal using the “Russian Boogeyman” to mis-direct our attention and resources away from the real threat (China), the major reason we see this all out frenzy against Russia is mainly about who sells and delivers energy (oil & gas) to Europe.

  29. Fifth Fleet Admiral found dead Saturday at his home. It is being investigated as a murder.

Robert Steele is a 20-year veteran of the CIA and the Marine Corps Intelligence.

He reported that Stearney was ordered murdered by the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI).

The plan was to have a Navy ship fired upon by the Israeli Navy posing as an Iranian patrol boat.

    Stearney refused.

Admiral Stearney, 58, was the most senior officer of the Fifth Fleet. He was in charge of U.S. naval operations covering 2.5 million square miles covering the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Gulf of Oman, and the Upper Indian Ocean.

Much of the world’s oil is exported through these sea lanes. This area is protected by the U.S. Navy.

The Fifth Fleet fights pirates, weapons, and child slave smugglers. It also protects cargo ships and naval vessels from terrorist attacks.

Stearney was assigned this territory in May. He had more than 20,000 sailors under command.

I think Tulsi would be logical, as she tries to come across as a “moderate” in interviews. She seems like a genuinely good person, but she’s a socialist lite.

Kamala will run. She can’t help herself. She knows where the bodies are buried and how the fraud works, she almost seems like she has a sense of entitlement to rival the Clintons.

I think that Bloomberg will run just so the Dems can make themselves look economically competent.

Then they will have to run an actual socialist like Bernie to make the chosen candidate seem palatable by comparison.

And I do think the candidate has been chosen. The Obama camp has someone lined up, I’m just not sure if it’s Kamala or a newcomer like Beto. Newcomers work best for radicals. Like Obama, the less people know about them the better off the Dems are. I think they would run a white male if they thought he would win. They can always just call the Republicans racist again to get out the minority vote.

  39. I’M CONFLICTED. Watching Bush 43 give the eulogy yesterday stirred in my heart those old happy feelings of a nation united, a Commander In Chief’s steely resolve to bring swift justice on the Muslim criminals of 911, and the simpler, more hardy days of a nation sweating off the hangover of the Carter years under RR and Bush 41. I warmed myself with the nostalgia of the Greatest Generation and how our 41st President was one of them. I marveled at the carriage and dignity of Bush 43 and his seemingly genuine recollection of a man dedicated to God and Country.

Then I remembered. I remembered it was Bush 41 who with his mealy mouth publicly mocked President Reagan’s rugged example of American Exceptionalism, I vividly recall Bush 41 responding to a question about who would deliver the customary Inaugural Prayer and he said “we are gonna leave God out of it”. That summed up his 4 years as President- and gave us Satan’ s power couple whom we suffer under to this day. I remembered the pointless wars, NAFTA and other laws designed to strip the American Producer of his wealth and sovereignty. Following that I recall Bush 43 and his abortion loving wife and daughters- cold and aloof, imperial in their carriage and dismissive of the very Americans who made their entitled lives possible. I well remember Bush 43 unwilling to defend himself (and thus his voters) from specious, lunatic attacks on him, his party, his Office, and his Country. Yet he was able to muster enough courage to get out of his bath tub and publicly attack President Trump in unprecedented demeaning ways.

The beauty, pageantry and uniquely American history displayed at the funeral yesterday combined with a master politician hinting at 41 being a God fearing man did not dilute the chuckling about Bush 41s love of off color jokes and living in a duplex with prostitutes. The opaque references to Bush 41 meeting “The Good Lord’s call with courage” are not proper the words describing a genuine Saint soon to hear “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy LORD”

It grieves me to conclude that what I saw yesterday was yet another show put on by “our betters” designed to illicit feelings of good will in honorable, honest, God-Fearing Americans toward this vile corrupt government we chafe under.

“LORD God Most High we beg your forgiveness for we Your people being wicked and rebellious. We beg your mercy on our beloved America and implore you to pardon us of the sins of blood guiltiness- even the murder of our innocents. We confess our, apathy, greed and sloth. and beg Your mercies on we your servants. Please give wisdom and protection to President Trump as he endevours to lead a stiff necked people out of the darkness of Socialism. Please deliver us from The Evil One and all his works and ways. Confound his dark servants and send failure to their wicked advances. Grant us O God your favor and heal our land as you promised as we humble ourselves before you and confess our wicked ways.
In the Name under which every knee shall bow and every tong confess “JESUS IS LORD!”

Getting raped by a dem is meaningless in New Jersey. Once they get everyone on pot in New Jersey, they will be able to commit murder and get away with it.

Katie Brennan, the official in Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration who accused a fellow former staffer of rape, told state lawmakers in dramatic testimony Tuesday that the progressive administration she hoped would protect her did nothing until her allegations threatened the governor.

“I had access to the highest positions of power, and at each turn my pleas went unanswered,” Brennan said at the Statehouse in Trenton. “Somehow it wasn’t a priority to address my sexual assault … until it impacted them.”

Brennan said only after she went to the Wall Street Journal, which published her account in October, did she find some semblance of justice.

“No survivor should have to tell their story to the newspaper to be heard,” Brennan said.

In her 20-minute opening remarks and in the exchanges with lawmakers that followed, Brennan offered a steely and forceful testimony. She is the first person to appear before the state Legislature’s special committee investigating how Murphy’s team handled her allegations.

Brennan recounted the days, weeks and months after she says she was raped by Albert J. Alvarez, who resigned in October as chief of staff to the New Jersey Schools Development Authority.

Previously, Brennan, 31, chief of staff to the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, told the Wall Street Journal that Alvarez raped her in April 2017 following a campaign gathering after he had driven her home in Jersey City.

Yes, reading the complaint filed by Corsi has made my day. I am neither a lawyer or particularly bright. But Corsi and his lawyer Klayman have documented a “railroad” case against Corsi in great deal.

Additionally they have laid out in detail the clear bias Mueller and his team have against President Trump and his team. Likewise, Mueller and his teams conflicts of interest are detailed.

Mueller and his henchmen heavy handed railroading techniques, including illegal pursuits coupled with bias and conflicts of interest. Documented in one complaint.

DOJ, Horowitz and specifically Whitaker decisions on this complaint will be very “telling”.

A bit long winded…thoughts from a knucklehead in the desert…

Various Russians and Russia companies. Mueller and RR so proud of indicting. Pure smoke and mirrors with nothing there. Complicit MSM won’t call it like it is. So, Russia bad narrative supported publicly
          – Months ago was glad to see one Russia company push back in court. Absolutely catching Mueller and his cronies ill prepared and probably without grounds to successfully prosecute.

Cohen. Medallion and other illegal behavior documented and busted him. Potentially singing whatever tune he is given to reduce his time and fine. Quite possibly a parallel story line Corsi was given. But Corsi is openly challenging.
          – Cohen swear to this lie. Lighter sentence. Feds “own” him. Catch 22 is Cohen perjury charge at a later date. Same hook Corsi di not bite on.

Manafort. Guilty of nonsense years ago totally unrelated to President Trump in any way. Willing to cooperate with Mueller’s henchmen for a lighter sentence. Apparently, and quite thankful Manafort is not willing to lie.

PapaD. Simply over whelmed by heavy handed Feds. Perhaps it took him time to put the pieces together to defend himself. All after guilty plea. Glad he started pushing back. Should be getting out soon. Expect him to be a royal pain in Mueller’s… Which I’ll enjoy watching.

Corsi. Innocent. Legally educated, savvy, ethical and significant wisdom. Financially able to challenge Mueller’s crooked actions.

Gen. Flynn. Absolute Patriot who believes in America, The Constitution and the System. Respect and admire Gen Flynn.
          – Don’t believe he did anything wrong. A four Star retirement is nice. He is not wealthy.
          – Legal expenses consumed him financially. Totally destroyed everything he had worked for 30 plus years.
          – Overt or implied threats against his son.
          – Toll on his family levied by Mueller simply unbearable.
          – My understanding is military retirees pension is forfeited if convicted of a felony. Perhaps that is certain categories of felonies. Sort of like Col North back in Iran Contra days.
          – So, he pled guilty to some lesser charge of sorts. For his family, IMHO.
          – Cooperated but unwilling to lie.

Incredibly sad the criminal behavior Mueller and his unethical team have delivering for a couple years. An absolute travesty it has not been stopped cold turkey.

Gotta believe the tables will be flipped sometime after the New Year. Not payback. Simply Justice as it should be, but delayed by RR phony SC.

In terms of the DOJ, do you want to know how we came to be where we are today? Well, I always look at history in my analysis of current events, so here is my take…

First, the DOJ does NOT answer to the President. The President only control’s is within the limited scope of the Attorney General, a cabinet position, and the “senate confirmed” appointment of judges.

The DOJ is a creature of Congress, specifically the First Congress of the United States(1), created by Congress under the Judiciary Act 1789 and signed into law by President Washington. Yes it was created that early on.

It came about because in said Fist Congress, lawmakers were instructed to pass an act to define the scope and workings of the Supreme Court of the United States, as provided by the Constitution. But there was a problem…..

The Federalists in the Senate (which in those days met IN PRIVATE) ran away with the writing of provisions in the act, with substantial but ineffective opposition.(1) Of the 33 sections of the act, only 2~3 refer to the powers of the Supreme Court.(2) All the other sections were written to create the DOJ, the District Courts and every other thing we see as the DOJ today.(2) The creation of the DOJ was not mandated by the Constitution.

It is theorized that the Federalists wanted this type of controls in place to further the abolitionist agenda, which led to the Civil War years later.

For over 100 years the DOJ functioned without a weaponized enforcement arm except for maybe Marshals (citation needed). This changed in 1908 under then Attorney General Charles Bonaparte (a nephew of Napoleon). He was a “political activist for progressive and liberal causes.”(3) He created the “Bureau of Investigation”, citing the need for permanent “investigators” under the DOJ to pursue criminals who crossed state lines to escape capture. He hired 10 retired Secret Service agents to do the “investigating”.(4)

Within a few short years the Bureau had grown to over 300 agents. “The agency was opposed by some in Congress, who feared that its growing authority could lead to abuse of power.”(4)

It wasn’t until 1917, when J. Edgar Hoover, a lawyer and librarian, joined the Bureau of investigation. Hoover as we all know had an insatiable appetite for power. I just a couple of years he became special assistant to the Attorney General and by 1921 had amassed files on 450,000 “radicals”!(4)

Hoover was heavily criticized for abuse of power in 1920 during the “Palmer Raids” but came out unscathed. In 1924 he was appointed “acting” Director of the FBI. He quickly proceeded to “weaponize” the FBI, and the rest is history.(5)

The DOJ and FBI are creatures of the State created by Congress. In essence, The DOJ and its weaponized enforcement arm, the FBI, is an unelected bureaucracy with immense power, and firepower. They answer to no one and can destroy anyone….. And, that is just how Congress likes it (Both sides).
