Totally true. The problem is that pundits keep on harping on about what normally happens after mid term elections. Problem is, Trump doesn’t play by normal rules. He comes from the most vicious jungle of them all: the NY real estate business. He hates losing and never gives up. Dems should be scared. Very scared.

Rubio appears to be referring to
Fla. Stat. § 102.141(4)(b) County canvassing board; duties.—The canvassing board shall report all early voting and all tabulated vote-by-mail results to the Department of State within 30 minutes after the polls close. Thereafter, the canvassing board shall report, with the exception of provisional ballot results, updated precinct election results to the department at least every 45 minutes until all results are completely reported. The supervisor of elections shall notify the department immediately of any circumstances that do not permit periodic updates as required. Results shall be submitted in a format prescribed by the department.

              ianal

It appears Broward is violating the law. Given the SoE’s prior bad acts I’ll mention as a possible remedy not counting those ballots:
Fla. Stat. § 102.131 Returns before canvassing commission.—If any returns shall appear to be irregular or false so that the Elections Canvassing Commission is unable to determine the true vote for any office, nomination, constitutional amendment, or other measure presented to the electors, the commission shall so certify and shall not include the returns in its determination, canvass, and declaration. The Elections Canvassing Commission in determining the true vote shall not have authority to look beyond the county returns. The Department of State shall file in its office all the returns, together with other documents and papers received by it or the commission. The commission shall canvass the returns for presidential electors and representatives to Congress separately from their canvass of returns for state officers.

Fla. Stat. § 102.111 Elections Canvassing Commission.—
              (1) The Elections Canvassing Commission shall consist of the Governor and two members of the Cabinet selected by the Governor, all of whom shall serve ex officio. If a member of the commission is unable to serve for any reason, the Governor shall appoint a remaining member of the Cabinet. If there is a further vacancy, the remaining members of the commission shall agree on another elected official to fill the vacancy.

Every time I feel that I fully appreciate POTUS’ genius, I soon realize that I’m still underestimating him.

Trump was deliberately combative with the media at the press conference yesterday. Totally intentional. And the Acosta karate chop of the aide only furthered the gifts the press gave to POTUS yesterday.

Who is talking about Sessions today? Chris Christie may be in DC today discussing the AG job and people are still talking about the “doctored video” that Sarah Sanders posted of Acosta.

Some of the smarter reporters realize that they’ve been had:

Once again, Trump has suckered his opposition. And all the while, they just can’t conceive that he’s playing them. Just using them like pawns on a chess board.

At one point in the press conference, a reporter (CNN guy, not Acosta) said he wanted to ask POTUS why POTUS liked Oprah. Trump smirked at first, like he enjoyed the question. But instead of having fun with it, he instead mocked the reporter as a wannabe comedian.

The reporter who asked about the “white nationalist” thing? Trump praised her in the past, in front of the press.

The upshot is that Trump wanted conflict yesterday, to distract from the Sessions news that took place immediately following the media scrum. And he got it, with the additional gift from Acosta.

POTUS is so good, it’s unreal. Unreal. He is so many levels above his opposition it would be scary if I were a Dem. He has the media on a string and just pulls that string anytime he wants.

    So amazing.

High-profile races still going on and Secretaries Of State involved:

FL — Gillum may un-concede and look for a recount
FL — Nelson waiting on a recount
FL Sec Of State = Ken Detzner. Republican, but former Democrat

AZ — Still hundreds of thousands of ballots still out. McSally could still lose
AZ Sec Of State = Michele Reagan. Moderate Republican

GA — Abrams refuses to concede, even though she mathematically cant win
GA Sec Of State = Brian Kemp just stepped down. Not sure who fills in now.

Abrams wants a recount. She’s stalling so she can play games and angle for a runoff vote.

  18. Mark Twain on Democrat Style Voting.

Where did all these Democrats come from? They grow thicker and thicker and act more and more outrageously at each successive election. Now yesterday they had the presumption to elect S. H. Dwinelle to the Judgeship of the Fifteenth District Court, and not content with this, they were depraved enough to elect four out of the six Justices of the Peace! Oh, ‘Enery Villiam, where is
thy blush! Oh, Timothy Hooligan, where is thy shame! It’s out. Democrats haven’t got any.

But Union men staid away from the election – they either did that or else they came to the election and voted Democratic tickets – I think it was the latter, though the Flag will doubtless say it was the former. But these Democrats didn’t stay away – you never catch a Democrat staying away from an election. The grand end and aim of his life is to vote or be voted for, and he accommodates to circumstances and does one just as cheerfully as he does the other.

The only man I ever knew who could counteract this passion on the part of Democrats for voting, was Robert Roach, carpenter of the steamer Aleck Scott, “plying to and from St. Louis to New Orleans and back,” as her advertisement sometimes read. The Democrats generally came up as deck passengers from New Orleans, and the yellow fever used to get them right and left – eight or nine a day for the first six or eight hundred miles; consequently Roach would have a lot on hand to “plant” every time the boat landed to wood – “plant” was Roach’s word. One day as Roach was superintending a burial the Captain came up and said:

“God bless my soul, Roach, what do you mean by shoving a corpse into a hole in the hill-side in this barbarous way, face down and its feet sticking out?”

“I always plant them Democrats in that manner, sir, because, damn their souls, if you plant ’em any other way they’ll dig out and vote the first time there’s an election – but look at that fellow, now – you put ’em in head first and face down and the more they dig the deeper they’ll go into the hill.”

In my opinion, if we do not get Roach to superintend our cemeteries, enough Democrats will dig out at the next election to carry their entire ticket.

        Paper ballots aren’t the problem.
Serious lack of security & control of those ballots is the problem.
As evidenced by this complete farce happening in Broward County FL.
No ballots should have ever been physically out of sight or control of officers representing both campaigns.

Electronic voting is far easier to corrupt and easier to conceal the method and perpetrator. Thats why Soros owns electronic voting machine companies whose machines have already been proven to be easily programmed to cheat.

Just received from Rick Scott’s team:

We heard your voices loud and clear Tuesday night – Florida heard you and America heard you.

One person who refused to hear you is Bill Nelson. He is refusing to give up power and is demanding a recount. He even brought in the lawyer who represents Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi to lead this effort. This is a last ditch attempt by Washington Democrats to try to obstruct President Trump’s agenda by stealing the Senate seat won by Governor Scott.

If they pull this scheme off, our Senate majority will be significantly weakened. With Nancy Pelosi now Speaker of the House, this would be a crushing blow to all the momentum our nation has built in the last two years under President Trump.

Recounts are expensive, and we need to make sure we’re doing everything possible to keep Nelson and Schumer from stealing this election from the people. Our team is working around the clock, but we need your help.

If you can, please donate to our recount effort so we can make sure your vote is counted (again).

    BlackKnightRides,
Drawandstrike had an interesting thread about voter fraud:
    https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1059173812615430144.html

“…Remember when Thomas Wictor pointed out that vote fraud is now being handled by FEDERAL AGENCIES working together, it’s NOT a state issue being handled by the locals any more?”

“Trump started a ‘Vote Fraud’ panel, everybody screamed about it, he disbanded it.

    THEY ALL WENT TO SLEEP.

    Like they were supposed to.

While they were napping, guess what happened?

Vote fraud was given to DHS, the FBI & other federal agencies PARTNERING TOGETHER…..

THIS time, they are LYING IN WAIT FOR THEM….
    ….

“Only 19 foreign nationals!” the media cried. Way to miss the point. Fed. agencies working together in a new partnership was the big news here….
    ….

Well there are several different KINDS of vote fraud. And ways to facilitate mass vote fraud.

And tampering with the state’s voter registration system by cyber-hack is a new way of doing it….”

Here in North Carolina we saw it in 2016 but nothing was done because the State AG became the Governor THANKS TO VOTER FRAUD — SWEET!

    Cooper, a Democrat and the state’s attorney general, had a lead of 10,293 votes over McCrory in nearly final election tallies on the State Board of Elections website Monday evening….” {He is the reason NC lost our voter ID law. It went to the SC but he would not fight for the law and let the case die per Chuck Kitchen}

“McCrory’s campaign had requested the recount of 90,000 ballots in Durham, arguing that the late addition of the 90,000 votes to the statewide tally on election night constituted an “irregularity.”….” h t tps://www.newsobserver.com/news/politics-government/election/article118942758.html
    …..

    REMEMBER

End of 1982 Consent Decree: GOP finally can contest vote fraud after 36 years
[…]Just in time for this November’s mid-term elections!

Did you know that since 1982, the Republican Party had been legally prohibited from contesting elections due to suspected vote fraud, because of a legal agreement called the Consent Decree the GOP made with the Democrat Party?

Finally, 36 years later, a judge has ended the agreement, freeing the Republican Party to ensure electoral integrity by investigating and pursuing suspected vote fraud.[…]

I certainly hope we regain some of those close election because the PROVE voter fraud!

I was going to stay away from all media today, as I was in a really despondent and angry mood.
A visit to the supermarket a little while ago unexpectedly buoyed me up.
As I waited in line, the cashier was talking to the woman ahead of me, about his great love for President Trump.
    All the jobs and everything.
They were both talking about the horrible behavior of Jim Acosta and the media in general.
It turned out she was Russian. She doesn’t think foreigners should just barge in to America.
When it was my turn, I mentioned to the cashier that I too love Trump, and that I have a relative who is an immigrant, and he loves Trump as well.
The woman behind me in line joined in, singing our president’s praises, and we all agreed there was something highly suspicious about a large group of military-age men trying to cross our border.
The market was in a relatively affluent suburb, with a high rate of very educated people.
Neither woman appeared to be anything other than from a white collar background, employment-wise.
The facts are out there, no matter what the MSM is pretending.

This same lady Brenda Snipes of the Broward County Election office does this every election. How have the FL GOP not figured out proactive measures yet? Pathetic! She should be harangued personally, and sued. Conservatives aren’t ones to upset the apple cart by nature though, which is why you won’t see any protests if the elections are stolen. We are content to see our rights and freedoms erode, as long as it’s slow and occurs over time.

April appeared Thursday on “TMZ Live,” and we asked if she was receiving death threats after Trump rudely told her to sit down when she tried asking a question about voter suppression. It’s the latest Trump attack against the American Urban Radio Networks Correspondent.

April didn’t want to talk about specific threats, but made it clear she has a security team in place, which seems to be a reality of life for White House Correspondents who raise the President’s ire.

Ryan made it clear … she doesn’t live in fear and will not back down … but she’s clearly taking precautions.

See, none of this stuff is humorous to me anymore. It was before the election when I thought people would see the insanity of the Left, see through their SJW BS and would vote accordingly. That thought is gone now. People fall for this crap. We’re in the process of seeing the governor and Senate race being stolen in Florida and the Senate being stolen in AZ. None of this is humorous anymore. Obviously, no offense meant to you Henry, but I am major ticked off right now

I understand that, but I really hope your sense of humor returns after a while. It is a VERY potent weapon in the culture war. Where outrage fails ridicule can succeed.

Also, it’s good for your heart.

Maybe go fishing (virtually) with sundance and regroup.

(Seriously, please don’t give way to despair. I am always so sorry to see that around here… We need every branch here!)

Ann has a detailed analysis of the midterm results:
    http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2018-11-07.html
She’s surprisingly (to me) optimistic about the results, and she, like me, gives a lot of blame, where things didn’t go as we’d hoped, to Republicans.

“The Senate math was on Republicans’ side, but countering that were several GOP retirements. Republicans not only held the Senate with a bigger margin … but now with no Jeff Flake, John McCain or Bob Corker!”

“The only GOP senator to lose his re-election was Dean Heller of Nevada. That makes him the fourth Republican who supported Marco Rubio’s 2013 amnesty bill to lose his seat. Inasmuch as about 85 percent of incumbent senators win re-election, at least for the past quarter-century, this is quite an accomplishment!”

Something I hadn’t thought about, Ann points out that only 6 of the 14 GOP who voted for amnesty are still in office. That’s a good thing.
