Ms. Blasey-Ford Attorney Casts Doubt on Appearance…

As of last weekend sketchy DC political lawyer Michael Bromwich, joined the legal team to represent the political interests of sketchy Kavanaugh accuser Ms. Christine Blasey-Ford.

Mr. Bromwich sends a letter tonight beginning to back-away from his clients prior agreement to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. This latest development is entirely predictable.

How can sketchy Ms. Ford deliver credible testimony about a 36-year-old event (at an unknown time and unknown location) where there is ZERO corroborating evidence supporting her claim, and mountains of evidence refuting her claim?  Five teenagers at a house party, yet all of the five say not their house. Additionally, every witness she identified as present during the event has gone on record denying any knowledge of anything within the foundation of her claim.  How can she testify? She can’t.

Ms. Ford cannot testify because there’s no truth in her sketchy accusations; this was a political stunt with no intention of testimony.  So, with a deadline looming it is more likely her political lawyers will try to extricate Ford from their prior commitments.

(Source)

The claimed witnesses were: (1) Mrs. Leland Ingham Keyser, (2) Mr. Mark Judge, and (3) Mr. Patrick “PJ” Smyth.

According to CNN’s current reporting here’s the statements from the witnesses:

(1) Simply put, “Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.”

“I have no memory of this alleged incident,” said (2) Mark Judge in a September 18 letter sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee. He said he did not recall the party and never saw Brett Kavanaugh act in the matter Ford describes.

(3) Patrick J. Smyth issued a statement:

“I understand that I have been identified by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as the person she remembers as ‘PJ’ who supposedly was present at the party she described in her statements to the Washington Post. I am issuing this statement today to make it clear to all involved that I have no knowledge of the party in question; nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh.

Personally speaking, I have known Brett Kavanaugh since high school and I know him to be a person of great integrity, a great friend, and I have never witnessed any improper conduct by Brett Kavanaugh towards women. To safeguard my own privacy and anonymity, I respectfully request that the Committee accept this statement in response to any inquiry the Committee may have.”

CNN article link.

According to the accusations by Ms. Ford there were five people present at the unknown residence, at the unknown time, at the unknown party.  Three boys and two girls.

Four of the people Ms. Ford claimed were present, including the accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh, now publicly state they have no knowledge of anything related to the accusation; including no recollection of any attendance at any gathering at a high school party claimed by Ms. Ford.

The only person left claiming attendance to a party; at the unknown time; in the unknown year; at the unknown residence; is the accuser, Mrs. Blasey Ford.

Who’s House? According to her story, there are five teenagers at “the house”.  So it has to be one of “their houses”.  Yet four of the five have said they don’t have any idea what she’s talking about; it’s not their house… and it’s not Mrs. Ford’s house; so…

…How can she testify?

Beyond that, notice the lawyer’s comment about ‘the White House’s refusal to reopen the FBI investigation”. Ain’t that just precious? Next up….Impeach! Impeach! Obstruction of justice!

In the end, this alot more abt getting to President Trump than Kavanaugh. They know Mueller’s Follies has flopped at the box office. Every jab and insurance policy has failed to peel President Trump’s supporters away from him. The midterms are nigh, desperation has set in, they needed a win at any cost effort. Just as Americans don’t buy their attacks on our President, they also were never going to buy salacious, unfounded, unsubstantiated BS on Kavanaugh. When one attack falls flat, they double down. And it falls flat. End this now.

Yes, indeed. The new mantra on all this is that the WH obstructed justice on a non-case, a Fake Attack, concocted in the foggy bottom of Party Girl Chrissy Ford’s delusional memory bank. Ramierz’ story is a hoax as far as Kavanaugh is falsely implicated, although given her admission of binge drinking and partying hardy also, we won’t judge as to whether she experienced situations she looks back on as indelicate but were par for the course her parties took her. Not to be outdone, we’ll have to endure the tallest of tales out of Stormy’s lawyer. No doubt Stormy’s been called in to consult and direct the porn aspect of the story.

Senator Grassley, no matter how long you delay, no matter how accommodating you are, it will never be enough to satiate the jackals. Stop trying to appease those that reject your every effort. Call for the Committee vote and end this miserable, embarrassing national disgrace. At least 75% of the American people do not believe this trash and we want it stopped now. Stop allowing the 25% to run this country. That’s not democracy, that’s not how our Constitutional Republic is designed.

You can forget the Ford and Ramirez charges. Their own named witnesses refuse to corroborate the charges. What is coming at Kavanaugh now is a real potential debacle involving Renate Dolphin, one of the women who appeared in a commercial endorsing his nomination to the Court. These allegations are being corroborated, and that is not good news. It is easy to shoot down Ford and Ramirez when their own picked witnesses refuse to even say they remember the parties described by them, or even know Kavanaugh. It is another when those who know both individuals corroborate the negative stories. This is a real potential problem for this nomination.

Don’t get the idea that background investigations don’t go back to high school. They always have and they always will.

Well, that makes no sense on Tucker’s part, but watch out for this Renate Dolphin thing as Kavanaugh has denied it, and Ms. Dolphin has stated that his denial is not accurate. Kavanaugh claimed one date with Renate Dolphin and a goodnight kiss. Ms. Dolphin contradicted that statement. One of them is right and the other not. She was in a commercial endorsing him. Students who know both, including one involved with the football team, are corroborating the negative testimony about the group of players to whom Kavanaugh was most closely associated. This is not good.

A real problem here is with the background investigations. Somehow, these facts did not get into the reports (6 of them), and this constitutes the mass of an iceberg hiding beneath the exposed part of the iceberg. There is a systemic problem with background investigations and this is reflected in the TRUMP-RUSSIA-WIKILEAKS scandals. The people involved in that also “passed background checks” to get those positions and rise to the top of them. Some have said that high school matters bearing on an appointment or hiring would not be right, yet background investigations look into high school life. Something is not getting done here. Writers have produced volumes about sociopaths in government. Background investigations are supposed to detect this kind of element in someone’s past, yet, somehow, sociopaths fall through the cracks.

We need to rethink how these people are being vetted.

The issue about the adequacy of the background checks is implicit in the unfounded accusations by Ford and Ramirez. Why would they want the FBI to handle the background checks if they missed these sexual behaviors they allege against Kavanaugh? Apparently, they failed to catch something like that, so why have them do it again after six times? It makes no sense. The same holds true for the yearbook statements.

Now, if any of these charges turn out to be true, which is doubtful about Ford and Ramirez, the adequacy of the investigations becomes an issue by logical extension. It can’t be TRUMP’s fault if any of the allegations had been true.

I didn’t read anything that to me referenced sex, in fact how does “Chairman of the bored” equate to sex? Only in a twisted NYT reporter’s mind 🙄

Is it respectful to Renate Schroeder Dolphin? No, not really but I see nothing portraying her as a slut. If that were the intent she’d be referred to differently. The problem is Kavanaugh went on the record as stating the yearbook remarks, etc. had nothing to do with his relationship with Ms Dolphin. That has to be verified now as it bears on his veracity. Keep in mind, people who were there at the high school, and knew Kavanaugh, are corroborating the negative nature of the yearbook comments, unlike the Ford and Ramirez named witnesses who do not know anything about the incidents. With people providing corroboration, there is a need for an investigation to determine who is telling the truth. Lying now would be a deal breaker for the nomination, or it should be. I don’t know if he is lying, but we should find out.

Renate Dolphin is trying to get the commercial on which she appears endorsing him pulled. This is not good for the nomination in any event.

There is a potential problem with how background investigations are being done if it turns out Kavanaugh was lying about this. The Committee interviewed the Ford and Ramirez witnesses. It looks like they will be at it with the yearbook matter. At least they better, as people are publicly corroborating these charges, and Kavanaugh publicly denied them.

Now that Kavanaugh has denied this, it should be vetted, and likely IS being investigated by staffers on the Senate Commitee who did the work on the Ford and Ramirez allegations. Those are effectively destroyed.

If it turns out Kavanaugh did not tell the truth about the meaning of those entries in the yearbook, that would be a deal breaker. This is just a realistic analysis of the present situation. Calling names and defaming does nothing to change reality. It is like calling the captain of the basketball team a “nerd.” Kavanaugh was a scholar-ATHLETE. You attended highs school as I did. The athlete subculture did not consist of “nerds.”

We will find out what the commitee’s investigation of this turns up in a day or so, but, it is not accurate to conclude that, when someone wants to pull their public endorsement of a SC nominee, that isn’t a blow to the nominee. It certainly is unless it can be dealt with through an objective investigation. We must also find out just how reliable these background investigations are. If this one is flawed, we better find out if the problem is systemic. After all, McCabe and Strozk passed those kinds of investigations.

And even then, the woman was a signer of people in support of the judge, so whether or not she knew is irrelevant – it’s the fact that she completely approves of the man as a supreme court justice is what matters as she testifies that he had never treated her with disrespect.

no. I see the reality. Brett Kavanaugh made a possibly mean comment in his HS yearbook. It wasn’t bullying because he didn’t think she would see it. Here is a reality for you, it’s not shocking. The press will go hysterical and play it as shocking but the REALITY is that it is not shocking. .

Furthermore, even if the comment was intended to be sexual, as opposed to meaning that she wasn’t the coolest date on the campus, it’s hardly a lack of “vetting”. Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds?

If she underwent hypnotherapy back in 2012 (or whenever), could not the suggestion have been made to her (planted) that this poor man was the actual culprit?
All based upon her ‘memories’, of course – which I would suggest may be letting her down.
Given the disparities in her memory and those of the alleged party goers, I’m opting for her memory consisting of information planted whilst under hypnosis – except the person planting the suggestion didn’t personally know the people involved and was simply using a given set of names to implant the story of the ‘memory’.

Think about the sh*t show that is the demonrat party. I would crawl ten miles over broken glass to vote against them, even for a rhino.

History has shown that many who are feint of heart can be inspired to great deeds by a REAL leader. Trump is a LEADER. He reminds me of Patton. Flawed, vain, brilliant, fearless, inspiring. And the Krauts were scared sh*tless of him. For good reason.

When the Germans launched their last counter offensive to the west, the Battle of the Bulge, they broke through US lines, the greatest surrender in US Army history. Eisenhower called all his generals to see what they could do. All said they could do basically nothing. Patton said he could attack with three divisions in 48 hours. The other generals laughed. Patton’s Army, US 3rd Army, was engaged in an attack, 100 miles to the south.

Patton’s spearhead, the 4th Armored Division (called Roosevelt’s butchers by the Germans) broke through and relieved the 101st Airborne Division, who were surrounded by 6 German Divisions, including SS Panzer Div. and the rest is history.

These heroes drove/fought for 48 hours straight, no sleep, no hot food, into combat with the best the Germans had.

It took a real leader to lead them.

Perhaps some of the eyoring on this site, comes from people unaccustomed to winning. Again, there is great benefit in remembering previous victories.

No country wanted to fight a 2 front war, military strategy of the time said “you lose”.
The U.S. may have been the first country to win a 2 front war, and the experience was incorporated into our future military strategy.

Also good to remember the allies took loss after loss, for first part of the war.
      But we prevailed.

And most people of the time saw it as an existential battle, between good and evil.
So, lots of valuable lessons from our history, worth recalling now.

The standard for accusations is that there should be some proof. Where’s the proof? Where’s the evidence any of it happened? No witnesses corroborate. The people named have all denied anything of the kind occurred. And that’s where this conversation should stop.

If there were any evidence, we should talk about that. The most important evidence, the names of the people involved, has failed flat. What else is there?

Hirono had the opportunity to choose sides in the 1990s when credible allegations were made that Daniel Inouye, then a Democratic senator representing Hawaii, had engaged in a pattern of sexual assault.
Lenore Kwock, the senator’s hairdresser for 20 years, said she had been forced into nonconsensual sex back in 1975 and had suffered persistent gropings since then.
Kwock’s story became public after she was tricked by a campaign worker for Inouye’s 1992 Republican opponent into telling her story into a tape recorder. The tape was briefly used in a political ad until Kwock demanded it be withdrawn. Kwock told reporters she had “forgiven” Inouye, even as she stood by her story. But she nonetheless spoke cautiously: “It could cost me my business, and so I speak with tact and diplomacy.”
Nonetheless, Kwock was surprised at the silence of Hawaii’s female political leaders about her account, given that the Anita Hill hearings had riveted the nation just one year earlier. Mazie Hirono, then considered a protégé of Inouye’s as a member of the State House, maintained a studied and consistent silence. There is no evidence she believed Kwock.

I give the odds of her of actually answering questions at 25/75.
I give the odds of Democrat committee members demanding to grill Judge K.(whether Ford shows or not) over anything he might have ever done in his youth or adult life for hours and hours at 100/0.

I think the real stink show spectacle is for the Dems to accuse, lambaste, and wail in all their might against Judge K. hoping to trip him up while getting across all their political points and dragging him through the mud.

Of course, no matter what, the hearing will be full of objections, points of order, motions, interruptions, and protests from the peanut gallery, and etc.

  28. Grassley’s not done yet. He needs to give ramirez two weeks before she can testify. its only fair. by that time they will have a third accuser who will also need a few weeks to prepare. Their strategy is working so far why would they not keep this up as long as possible?
Why do you think turtle said the vote will be in the near future instead of setting a date?

I’m thinking of a family story this morning, after watching Kavanaugh and his wife last night.

Years ago, my sister had problems with a neighborhood dog that kept running into her yard, scaring her kids, tearing up her garden etc. She was incensed, especially the more this happened and she wanted something done.

One day the owner showed up to retrieve the dog. His solution was to viciously beat the dog…right before her eyes…much to her horror and regret. Long story but my sister ended up adopting and loving the dog all the rest of its days.

Does the average Democrat, or Independent Roe v Wade supporter look at the Kavanaughs and really want to win this way? I’m not talking about the politicians. I mean just the average Dem voter watching this man be accused of running sex trains, being humiliated and demeaned…verbally and psychologically being beaten as viciously as any human can imagine. Is this okay now, to get your way, to solve a problem?

I’m thinking of that title “They were expendable.” Is the Kavanaugh family “expendable” to your average Dem voter…to extent that they permit their leaders to shred his reputation, his LIFE with such savage lies, that they destroy both his past and his future and maim his children as well?

My sister never knew that her neighbor had the capacity to inflict such pain on a living, breathing creature and watch it in real time.

I’m wondering this about my Liberal Dem neighbors this morning.

I wonder if this is why her supporters are pushing the idea the “party” in question took place in Maryland. She needs to be pinned down on this, because if the Senate testimony ploy doesn’t work for her, a real courtroom may be her next move. Avenatti’s for sure. Any woman who was *sure* she was assaulted by said person would never back out. Once claimed, it would be an eagerness to testify, to make sure the person accused hears her voice. They would not care what the circumstances of the venue are, but more concerned about getting her version out in the public sphere.

It is apparent, after all the choices that were given to her to testify, she is backing down because she knows to stand up there in front of the entire country, her life will never be the same again if she gets ‘shot down’ with difficult questions she cannot answer.

The “Little Rascals” ritual abuse case in Edenton, NC
“In the Little Rascals day-care-abuse case in North Carolina, one mother told reporters that it took 10 months before her child was able to “reveal” the molestation. No one at the time considered the idea that the child might have been remarkably courageous to persist in telling the truth for so long.” Carol Tavris

      The Cases:
These charges relate to the Little Rascal’s Day Care in Edenton. It is perhaps the second most famous day care ritual abuse case in North America (after the McMartin Preschool in CA.) The PBS program Frontline has produced a series of three powerful documentary episodes on this case, called Innocence Lost. It showed that the various ingredients of a typical MVMO abuse case were present in Edenton:

      * no physical evidence that any actual abuse or killing happened.

      * hysteria by the parents, investigators and general public.

      * lack of evidence which would have been present if the children had actually been abused.

      * the alleged abuse happened even as parents were coming to and fro during the day; nobody noticed anything strange at the day care center.

      * the children initially denied that anything “funny” happened at the day care; but the interviewers did not believe the children.

      * after months of extensive interviewing, using what are now known to be manipulative, suggestive techniques, children started to disclose abuse events. This was assisted by communications among parents who also grilled their children.

      * all of the documentation and tapes of the children’s initial interviews were lost or destroyed.

      * testimony described a long string of physically impossible or highly improbable events.

      * nobody seems to have asked the logical question: how could 7 to 20 adults form a conspiracy and abuse children hundreds of times, without any child complaining or without any parent noticing something amiss? [….]

Bromwich’s letter, in one of the first few sentences, reminds everyone what this is really all about, but being a swamp creature and not a psychoanalyst, he spills the beans regarding his client’s true intentions:

“Civic duty.” It’s about politics, not about a non-existent past sexual assault.

If you look back to Ford’s original letter (it’s online somewhere), sent to Feinstein, you see it again, right there in perhaps the second sentence:

    “As a constituent ….”

For a trained PhD psychologist, Ms. Ford has little ability to self-analyze. We can all see that it’s about politics, but she can’t. She’s a mess. But, of course, none of this is about her.

I can’t resist throwing this in: why on God’s green earth does that snake Bromwich need to see the resume of the sex crimes prosecutor hired to question his client? To prepare a smear job? If you calculate that Bromwich gets about $1,000 for every sentence he writes, he must have thought this was pretty important.
