TUCKER CARLSON, FNC: Assess, if you would, the reaction today to this press conference and to the summit between Putin and Trump/
STEPHEN F. COHEN: The reaction by most of the media, by the Democrats, by the anti-Trump people is like mob violence. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. This is the president of the United States, doing what every other president before him, since FDR in 1943 with Stalin, meeting with the head of the Kremlin. And something that every American president since Eisenhower, a Republican by the way, has met with the leader of the Kremlin for one existential purpose: To avoid war between the nuclear superpowers.
Today, in my considered and scholarly long time judgment, relations between the U.S. and Russia are more dangerous than they have ever been. Let me repeat: Every been, including the Cuban missile crisis.

Our President is absolutely right that what he and President Putin are doing for Israel is absolutely magical.

I wrote the following thread yesterday:

and shared the following response from a fellow Treeper (yucki):

“Though he hasn’t been present there, the spirit of Israel’s prime minister hovered all over the summit meeting between the US and Russian presidents in Helsinki in mid-July. Benjamin Netanyahu worked laboriously mobilizing all his influence in Washington to persuade Donald Trump to meet Vladimir Putin.…

On July 11, four days before the summit, Netanyahu was set to meet Putin and sit next to him in his private box at a Moscow soccer stadium watching together one of the two World Cup’s semi-finals. It will be Netanyahu’s tenth meeting with the Russian leader in the last three years. He has more Putin’s hours than any other leader in the world.…”

        https://www.jpost.com/Jerusalem-Report/Intelligence-Report-Back-to-the-Future-562417
        ….
And PTrump spoke with Bibi right after that meeting, before the Helsinki summit.

THE MULLAHS ARE GOING TO FACE EXTINCTION SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!

This man is the go to guy for all things pertaining to Iran on Twitter. He shared some of the following tweets:

This is why the crazies from the previous administration, the MSM, Democrats, RINOs etc. went crazy yesterday. The Russians will support us in cutting off Iran’s ability to fund all their terrorist actions by killing their ability to sell oil!

This will eventually lead to the Mullahs either being killed or run the hell out of Iran. It is inevitable after yesterday’s summit!

        From the article linked above:

Iran’s oil exports could fall by as much as two-thirds by the end of the year because of new U.S. sanctions, putting oil markets under huge strain amid supply outages elsewhere in the world.

Russia’s in terrible shape – it might even need Israel!
      From the Begin-Sadat Center:
Why has Russia under Putin acknowledged Israel’s need to prevent the buildup of an Iranian military presence in Syria? Putin’s vision is to cement an alliance of minorities against the Sunni majority in the Middle East. Israel could be a valuable participant in making that vision a reality – but only if.…

[O]ne must consider the balance of power that existed between Czarist Russia and its southern neighbors, Ottoman Turkey and imperial Iran, at the turn of the 20th century.
The balance of power at that time – over 100 years ago – was totally in Russia’s favor. Russia’s population was a massive 100 million compared to 24 million for the Ottoman Empire… and half that number in impoverished and divided Persia.…

Russia’s budget was seven times greater than that of the Ottoman Empire and considerably greater than Persian government expenditures. One hundred years later, a massive change in the balance of power has occurred between Russia and its two problematic neighbors.

It began with demographics. If in 1900 the Russian population was three times the combined populations of Persia and the Ottoman Empire, today the combined populations of those states exceeds the number of Russian citizens: 165 million compared to 142 million for Russia.

Worse yet are internal demographic trends within Russia that affect the relationship between Moscow and the two states. Russia … is Islamizing: Russian Slav birthrates are declining much more quickly than those of its sizeable Muslim Turkic populations.

This tale of woe for Slavic Russia, Putin’s core group, does not end at the country’s borders. Forever perceiving itself as the heir to the Orthodox Christian Byzantine Empire, Russia views with concern not only its own decline but also the demographic decline of its traditional Orthodox allies in Greece, Bulgaria, and Macedonia.…

Economics also tell the tale of a changing balance of power between Russia and its two historical nemeses.… [From an almost sevenfold advantage] …the combined GDP of [Turkey and Iran] equals Russia’s GDP, and they are closing in on Russia in scientific output as well.…

Watching Fox yesterday makes me wonder if many of the personalities there that have been seemingly pro-Trumpish lately (obviously not talking about Sean, Tucker, Lou) are kind of being held as a ploy to draw in Trump supporters to trust them and then when something like yesterday happened, and they all jump on the Trump bashing wagon, they are hoping to pull away some of his support for him? That’s all I can think of.

And what the arrogant press doesn’t know is that the “others” of whom he spoke with respect to “meddling” are going to be revealed and exposed even more so than to date.

The President was brilliant in his remarks in Helsinki, and handled the “correction” equally so.

Please take an extra dose of Winnamins, y’all need it.

He said, “…I have great faith in MY intelligence…” yesterday DURING his presser with Putin. The media ignored that.
He has changed ONE word from yesterday…but when he said the word he is correcting today, he also said he it could also be others (countries) as well. The message is the same.
I knew what he meant. Russians have always tried hacking us, what’s new? Why won’t the “brilliant” talking heads tell us what it is, exactly, that these Russians did to “meddle”?
They won’t, because NO ONE knows what the hell they supposedly did. I haven’t heard anything other than, “everyone knows” BS.

I don’t mind Trump saying he misspoke. What I do mind is that everyone who eviscerated him yesterday won’t care. They will still be just as critical, if not more so. They don’t care what he means. They just want to criticize him. I would have been fine if he didn’t say anything and just let them fester.

The SVR would know the details of the coup aimed at DJT.
That info was shared in Helsinki.
Also, the reality of the nuclear dangers was shared. Russia is on a war readiness in their Southern Military District. Trump is not briefed on the counter moves Russia has made to defend itself against he last two years of NATO moves. Now he knows.

Now thanks to Bull – I am concerned.

How in G-d’s Green earth was he supposed to get tough on Russia for doing exactly what the USA under Broke Obozzo and five other presidents have done to Russia, Israel, UK. Ukraine and countless other countries, with no proof and even less credible evidence of them having done so.

Also, why should VSGPOTUS Trump trust the intel agencies seeing that they have all being part of the coup to bring his administration down, with the exception of Admiral Rogers and that agency is now part of the Military.

I wish these people (idjits) would stop second guessing President Trump, he knows what he is doing and changing a single word takes nothing away from what he meant but if it brings a little sanity to the country, so be it.

Obama and his entire criminal enterprise were warned of Russian involvement as early as 2014, perhaps earlier. Obama and the NSC “slept on it” according to one of their own advisors doing the warning. So the excuse for inaction in 2016 “we didn’t want to impact the election” that they are floating now doesn’t hold water.

  41. I’ve been thinking about this for quite some time. The truth of the matter, in terms of truly draining the swamp, is that at this point in time, Trump just does not have the political capital to truly drain the swamp. He’s got to get through the mid terms and then become reelected. Until then, he is constantly having to deal with the fake controversies put out by the Deep State at every turn. Can he last the 2 years? I think so. But once reelected in the greatest landslide since Reagan, he will then have the clout to do exactly what he wants to do. Until then, he just needs to continue on his MAGA course, disrupting things as he goes and then come 2020, he can drop the hammer big time.

None of us can give up on him today or ever.

      From the White House site:

      https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-meeting-members-congress/

‘So I’ll begin by stating that I have full faith and support for America’s great intelligence agencies. Always have. And I have felt very strongly that, while Russia’s actions had no impact at all on the outcome of the election, let me be totally clear in saying that — and I’ve said this many times — I accept our intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election took place. Could be other people also; there’s a lot of people out there.

‘There was no collusion at all. And people have seen that, and they’ve seen that strongly. The House has already come out very strongly on that. A lot of people have come out strongly on that.

‘I thought that I made myself very clear by having just reviewed the transcript. Now, I have to say, I came back, and I said, “What is going on? What’s the big deal?” So I got a transcript. I reviewed it. I actually went out and reviewed a clip of an answer that I gave, and I realized that there is need for some clarification.

‘It should have been obvious — I thought it would be obvious — but I would like to clarify, just in case it wasn’t. In a key sentence in my remarks, I said the word “would” instead of “wouldn’t.” The sentence should have been: I don’t see any reason why I wouldn’t — or why it wouldn’t be Russia. So just to repeat it, I said the word “would” instead of “wouldn’t.” And the sentence should have been — and I thought it would be maybe a little bit unclear on the transcript or unclear on the actual video — the sentence should have been: I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia. Sort of a double negative.

‘So you can put that in, and I think that probably clarifies things pretty good by itself.

‘I have, on numerous occasions, noted our intelligence findings that Russians attempted to interfere in our elections. Unlike previous administrations, my administration has and will continue to move aggressively to repeal any efforts — and repel — we will stop it, we will repel it — any efforts to interfere in our elections. We’re doing everything in our power to prevent Russian interference in 2018.’

PDT is absolutely turning out to be one of the greatest Presidents in US history. Given his accomplishments both internationally and domestically in the face of the false and corrupt Mueller scam, his achievements have been outstanding. The fake indictments last Friday by Mueller and Rosencrotch show how demented the swamp really is. I want to believe Putin gave PDT some great dirt on Clinton and Obama which he’ll use at an appropriate time. Trump has never to my knowledge admitted to a “mis-speak” before. Since we know he has almost unlimited ability to tough out vs. negative LSM coverage, the reason behind his saying this now must be something else other than just the media blowback, and I don’t think the answer is he is admitting defeat simply because a bunch of ex-obama-era officials are criticizing him. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the real reason might be?
