House Joint Committee Hearing With IG Michael Horowitz – 10:00am Livestream…

A joint committee from House Oversight and House Judiciary are conducting a hearing today at 10:00am EDT with DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz. Unlike the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday the House team has representatives far more knowledgeable of the issues. Hopefully, expertise will deliver better questions.

Members to watch: Jim Jordan, Trey Gowdy, Ron DeSantis, Mark Meadows, Louie Gohmert, John Ratcliffe, Matt Gaetz, Andy Biggs and Steve King. (list) and (list)

Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte has direct primary oversight authority over the DOJ.  Chairman Trey Gowdy comes from the aggregate Oversight/Reform Committee. Far more House members have read the 568-page IG report.  Due to a better informed group of members we are more optimistic for detailed, specific, confrontational and challenging questions to draw out the key issues.  Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

Your might be correct on that point. But isn’t the mere existence of the laptop containing classified files proof of GROSS NEGLIGENCE, even if the Hillary server issue didn’t exist? Abedin lied to the FBI when she stated that she and Weiner possessed no other devices, then lied when she claimed she had no knowledge of it after Weiner inconveniently turned it in. She allowed an online sex offender to set up synching to automatically capture government data from a Blackberry over an unsecured Bluetooth connection. What could go wrong? The FBI could not charge Abedin without crashing the myth that Hillary was innocent.

Horowitz is telegraphing to Mulehead that his next report on the Russian Investigation will be the end of his Witch Hunt. Peter Strzok opened the Insurance Policy against Donald Trump on 7/31/16. My guess is Mueller is going to wrap up his investigation by the fall for this reason alone. If his Trump bashing Impeachment report (we all know that has been written already) comes out after Horowitz says it is essentially fruit of the poisonous tree it will be meaningless.

Someone needs to inquire about the “wizardry” Strzok and FBI used to determine that Weiner’s computer had no new Clinton information. Did Horowitz determine who other than Strzok performed such “wizardry” and if any chance existed that the “wizardry” and the conclusions based on the “wizardry” is nothing but pure bias fart gas. Also, who has the Weiner computer?

I would imagine many copies of the Weiner’s computer’s hard drive were made by the NYPD and fbi agents in the sdny before it was handed over to Strzok and the MYE team for the “wizardry”. Whether we ever get to see the contents that some refer to as shocking from any copy is likely or unlikely?

I think Comey made his own personal copy to blackmail hildabeast with after she got elected. The whole coverup and don’t read the emails (and then have the IT guy at FBI delete it off his system) makes this smell to high heaven (kinda like what Bill Gross did to his exwife with the fish in the airvents). No one will ever admit that was what happened but I bet even Loreta has a copy as “LEVERAGE” for anything favor wise that was to be a chip to be called in once HRC got elected. Now its just life “insurance.” If I worked at FBI and had an opportunity, would I do the exact same thing??? Only if I had access and my life (and my family’s safety) depended on it. I hate to say it but it is probably a choice that would have had to be consciously made and then lied about (one way or the other) to the end of days. The lie to Hillary would be I have a copy. The lie to the IG and FBI folks would be that we “never read the emails” and I think that is a direct quote from the report and/or equally stupid platitudes from the higher ethics gnomey.

Heck maybe I am just evil at heart or have seen too many spy movies but folks, this is the way that world that “almost touches power” works. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Just ask Seth Rich.

Again, my “evil” brain is kicking in here and “national security” would be impacted re: Loreta if someone caught her or a Hillary ally telling the campaign exactly who, according to FBI IT logs accessed those files, when, for how long. Those are the really really juicy questions that are not getting asked. I suppose the FBI’s IT tech guy is still alive and well?

So far I am most interested in Desantis question – I do not understand why the very fact of the installation of Clinton private server to do government business does not show an illegal intent.
Others point to the bias and the desire and possible fact of acting to “stop” Trump doe snot taint
the Mueller investigation given the important positions held by biased investigators though out the
three investigations dealing with the 2016 election.
What info could have been planted or what exonerating info buried or destroyed?
Hoe can could voters have any reason for confidence in Mueller’s conclusions should they tend to implicate Trump in some way?

I am left thinking that the investigation into Weiner’s laptop needs to be reopened. The American people deserve to know what info was compromised and what corruption was evidenced on that server.
Who has it now – was it destroyed or lost?

Also the fact that they did not take the server to inspect and let her lawyers decide which emails to hand over printed out. Also did not take the DNC server which was supposedly hacked. What regular citizen would be treated with such kid gloves – now that is a question to ask. When they went after the mob they did every form of entrapment, wire tapping, infiltration, surveillance and so forth. Then they gave large RICO sentences. The Cintons should have been treated much more strongly since this is national security.

That is what I recall as well. Perhaps the FBI took her server after that point. Then the question would be did they actually examine it.

And didn’t she wipe it with a bleachbit program? Like with a cloth?

            Liked by 2 people

        • The DNC server “disappeared,” I believe, didn’t it? And FBI was NOT allowed to look at it anyway – CrowdStrike did that. Her attorneys deleted thousands of e-mails and used bleach bit; there were many blackberries destroyed with a “hammer.” But the FBI did not destroy the laptops as they said they would; will have to look through my research re: Killary’s server itself……

“Agents within the Federal Bureau of Investigation never destroyed laptops given to them by aides of Hillary Clinton as previously reported, a Washington D.C. lawyer with a source close to the Clinton investigation says.

Washington D.C. attorney Joe DiGenova said on The David Webb Show on SiriusXM Friday night that despite the FBI agreeing to destroy the laptops of Clinton aide Cheryl Mills and ex-campaign staffer Heather Samuelson as part of immunity deals made during the initial investigation of Clinton’s email server, agents involved in the case refused to destroy the laptops.

“According to the agreement reached with the attorneys who handed over their laptops, the laptops were to be destroyed per the agreement after the testimony was given –the interviews were given – – by the attorneys. The bureau and the department agreed to that,” DiGenova said. “However the laptops contrary to published reports were not destroyed and the reason is the agents who are tasked with destroying them refused to do so. And by the way the laptops are at the FBI for inspection by Congress or federal courts.”

Of course the setting up of the server was intent. For a Sec of State to do this and intentionally avoid using approved government secure comms and system from which to operate in her official capacity as Sec of State was an intentional act on her part.

Note that there is not a shred of evidence that in doing so, she did *anything* to make sure that taking this action would not result in mishandling of classified into transiting or residing on that server. Nobody was briefed. No precautions were taken. No government officials expert at security were used. Nothing.

The intent was always in the server usage. Everything else that happened — including some of the most highly classified info that the US has getting on that server — were a direct result of her intentional decision to set up and use that server in an insecure manner.
