Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen โ€

    The Rightness Of God

St. Paulโ€™s great Epistle to the Romans has much to say about โ€œthe righteousness of Godโ€; in fact, this is the theme of the Book of Romans. Sad to say, however, the Bible is so little read and studied of late that many people do not even know what the word โ€œrighteousnessโ€ means.

Actually, every man, woman and child should know about the righteousness of God โ€” or, to simplify the word โ€” the rightness of God. It is most important to understand that God does always and only that which is right. He can do nothing and will do nothing that is not right.

Thus God cannot and does not merely forgive sinners and smuggle them into heaven, for this would not be right. As Job 8:20 says, โ€œBehold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will He help evil doers,โ€ for neither would be right.

It was Bildad who said this to Job, and Job replied, almost exasperated: โ€œI know it is so of a truth, but how shall a man be just with God?โ€ (Job 9:2). In other words, how can a holy God look upon a sinner and pronounce him righteous? With this background let us consider Paulโ€™s great decla ration in Romans 1:16,17:

โ€œI am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believethโ€ฆ. for therein is the righteousness [i.e., the rightness] of God revealedโ€ฆ.โ€

True, the love of God is also revealed in the gospel, but what made Paul so proud to proclaim the gospel is the fact that it tells how God dealt โ€œrighteously,โ€ or rightly, with sin, paying its just penalty Himself at Calvary so that He might offer salvation to all by free grace.

Thus the Apostle declares in Romans 6:23: โ€œThe wages of sin is death [this is its just penalty] but the [free] gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.โ€

Job 8:20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
Job 9:2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Somebody who has traveled extensively told me a story about chihuahuas. It may or may not be true, but I found it interesting. She said that chihuahuas put out a lot of heat, and there are rural people who have used their chihuahua pets to keep warm during the cold seasons because these dogs are physically hot-natured.

I went to look for confirmation but haven’t found it. I did find this interesting site though:
        http://www.thedogplace.org/BREEDS/Chihuahua/History.asp

” A major โ€œoopsโ€ in the theory that dogs came to the Americas by way of Chinese sailing vessels is that small dogs of North America were revered by the earliest humans as evidenced by Indian Knoll, a two-acre site in Kentucky U.S.A. In a single dig, Dr. William Web found 21 small dogs interred in graves dated 3000 B.C. The Kentucky dig provides irrefutable evidence that dogs were domesticated in North America long before they could possibly have arrived on Chinese vessels making port in Mexico…”

All 3 of our Cornell Red-Tailed Hawk chicks have fledged. H2 fledged first last week (accidentally -gust of wind took her off what is called the “fledge ledge.” She and the others have returned numerous times to the nest. H3 was an intentional fledge (a few days after H2) and H1 fledged 2 days ago. Pictures were taken by our birders on the ground – she and her hubby have a telescope, connected to their phones (don’t know how that works but they livestreamrecord the chicks in action. Here are wonderful photos taken by our birder on the ground (her nick is “Bogette) of H1’s fledge..

amwick, see the 2nd chick, standing on what appears to be a skinny black bar of protruding metal? That is the “fledge ledge” (all the chicks seem to launch from it) – isn’t very wide. H2 was preening on it when the gust of wind caught her. Cornell captured it on video. I have been watching these hawks since the “D” series and it NEVER gets old. No chicks in 2017 due to the death of Big Red’s (BR) partner, Ezra. He suffered a severe wing injury and had to be euthanized. They mate for life and have had 1 clutch of 3 eggs annually. Fortunately, BR found a new partner (named Arthur), last fall. She is approximately 15 or 16 years old, Arthur is a little over 2 years old but despite his youth has stepped up to the plate (good prey provider). ๐Ÿ˜‰

We’ve lost a couple of BR’s chicks (one E and one G) in the past due to window strikes while chasing prey (squirrels) – one of the things I worry about when each successive groups of them fledge; lots of buildings/windows at Cornell. It is believed that is how Ezra was severely injured and had to be euthanized.

Usually, if I wanted to go the beach, I’d go to Topsail, so much closer. I can understand why you would drive up to Cornell, the scenery is beautiful. Karel (our birder) mentioned a few days ago that downtown Ithaca is experiencing a lot of development lately.

My favorite NY food is knishes. As a kid, I lived on W. 115th St. in NYC – Columbia was down the end of my block and across the street. I attended PS 165 (?) and instead of eating in the school cafeteria, I’d sneak up to Broadway, not far away, to a deli where I learned about knishes (only 25 cents in the early 60’s). It had a square shape, crunchy exterior with the potato filling – believe it was referred to as Coney Island style. Have never been able to find them since. I didn’t discover bagels until I was an adult.

Let’s rip the “panda mask” off the media, shall we?
โ€œSpecial Counsel accidentally exposed names of former journalists and European politicians allegedly involved in Manafortโ€™s secret Ukraine lobbying. Just filed a new version with redactions,โ€ explained Washington Post reporter Rachel Weiner:

โ€œUnredacted government exhibit showing alleged attempts by Manafort and Kilimnik to influence witness testimonies has been released. The witnesses, journalists [โ€ฆ] produced the messages to the FBI,โ€ the Atlanticโ€˜s Natasha Bertrand added.
    https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile/mueller-appears-to-have-screwed-up-by-accidentally-exposing-names-in-manafort-case/

If we take this at face value (I cannot vouch for this site), either the ‘journalists’ were forced to provide the information to the SC and/or provided the information voluntarily. If the ‘journalists’ were forced to provide the information, you would think there would be a big stink splashed across every headline. Lawyers would be screaming about the First Amendment.
If the ‘journalists’ voluntarily provided the information to the SC then they are inserting themselves into the story.
Another possibility is the ‘journalists’ were witnesses in the investigation and when Manafort reached out to them to tell his side of the story he was “witness tampering” without knowing who the witnesses against him were.
In any event, it sure makes ‘journalists’ look like they have a vested interest in furthering the Muh Russia story.

      “Special Counsel accidentally exposed…”

Experience prosecutors like those are not prone to “accidents” like that.
      Just sayin’.
Judge for yourself (what is the ultimate motive and how does it help further the bogus “cause”)

  36. THE OIG REPORT: โ€œWhile we did not find that these decisions were the result of political bias on Comeyโ€™s part, we nevertheless concluded that by departing so clearly and dramatically from FBI and department norms, the decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice,โ€ Inspector General Michael Horowitz said in the reportโ€™s conclusions

The filthy self-serving creeps in an agency founded by a flaming faggot has once again demonstrated that ONLY they matter. You don’t. “negatively impacted the perception of the FBI”

What a loaf of horseshite. Actually that’s not accurate- manure has some value.

Just went out and raised the flag for Flag Day. While doing so, I reflected that I did not have the pride to raise it under Obama’s administration that I have under Trump. What a difference a President makes!
