I thought it was only crazy neocons who wanted war on the Korean Peninsula. But it’s quite clear this morning from reading tweets on Twitter that many liberals also wanted war to break out (and they hope it still does). Why are so many of my fellow Americans completely insane?

At the top they are not “fellow Americans” they are instead usurpers and antagonists. As for the fellow Americans they are not “woke” and still blindly watch, absorb and spout off what they see in MSM. being said the events of the last 2 days are a massive red-pill for a lot of people. Do not believe what you see in Twitter or in any other MSM channel… people are waking up fast.

Mention has been made on television, some internet reports and by several treepers about military exercises having been discussed and some sort of agreement made to suspend U.S./S. Korean war games.
I couldn’t find any mention of this in the signed agreement. I thought I recalled President Trump mentioning the exercises during the press conference but I don’t remember a statement they will be suspended.

    Did I miss this?
Thank you for helping me catch up. Long, glorious night!

Amazing people can be so stupid, but it also shows why people have such warped thoughts about what’s going on in the world. We have to choose carefully or we’re just keeping them in business.

Most of their ratings are abysmal at best. The only time it spikes is when covering Trump either positively or even more negatively. They are surviving on massive layoffs, spending cuts and propaganda clickbait. The money will eventually dry up but much of the money is donated by True Believers. So until those true believers are sucked dry to the point they question the financial spending we are stuck with the insane media. Money is money and money matters which is why even Soros is starting to question all the financial losses he has experienced. He actually says he’s been living in a bubble. Sounds like Soros saw his financial bottom line and was red pilled. It won’t matter for him, he won’t change. He’s the closest thing to a 007 Bond villain in reality. The evil Soros has his hands in many pockets and he profits from chaos that he himself starts. But it goes beyond one man, his family is ready to take the reins and there are many in his multitude of organizations. To stamp them out would be nearly impossible, he has people in almost every country on the planet shielded by shell corporations and financial havens.

Reading CNN, MSNBC, etc. the tone is sickening. They twist and spin everything. It’s like all the doom and gloom prior to an Apple Earnings call and then BOOM, sales are way up! What do you mean the iPhone X is a failure? Surprise, it’s the best selling iPhone ever! You see a public company cannot talk before an earnings statement so the media slam them for 30+ days prior and really ramp up the bashing just before. The stock takes a temporary hit then spikes after the Earnings Call. Someone is profiting on the shorting of Apple stock and profiting on the spike after at the same time. Take this line of thinking to the next several levels and you have some idea of where people like Soros and Warren Buffett play. They can hedge their bets and win no matter the outcome.

What they don’t yet realize is Trump does the same thing. He misdirects, triggers the opposition then he hits a home run and mocks them. Either way something goes, he wins. So he didn’t get Congress to kill Obamacare. He did get the individual mandate removed and that is acting like a heart plug draining the funding. Eventually the money will dry up and the healthcare companies will lose hundreds of millions before they pull out of the remaining exchanges. Then because Congress failed to act, there will be a crisis and Trump will blame those responsible. By 2020 there will hell to pay. He’s going to shine a spotlight on all the opposition during the campaign.

They idolized Obama and his negotiating skills. But Trump is really sticking it in their face and I don’t think they even realize it.

Has anyone else noticed there is no longer a several second delay between live reporters in the U.S. and those halfway around the world? Maybe that’s been accomplished some time ago, but I just now noticed it during yesterday’s live discussions. It’s amazing how we can send a TV video signal to a satellite, then down to Singapore with virtually no time lag.

    Liked by 2 people

A lot of these signals are routed over ocean fiber optic cables. They are considerably shorter than the 2 x 25,000 mile trip via satellite.

Is fiber optic cable faster than sending it through space? I think your point is very interesting and it’d be fascinating to know which moves quicker. I did hear some delay with the broadcasts from Singapore when they were talking with their counterparts here in the US, but it’s definitely shorter than it used to be.

RF energy moves at almost exactly the speed of light. I’m not guessing. Light moving through a fiber optic network is not, however, subject to atmospheric interference or ducting (where applicable). Hope that helps.

Distance helps when using the fiber. Also signal degradation occurs to a greater degree using a sat link. You have to add additional FEC (forward error correction) to keep the integrity. Single mode fiber can attain 50km per Hop until it needs to be regenerated. It’s pretty efficient.

Yes, FO canle is much faster but still not instantaneous (<~1 second) owing to digital repeater lag for two different reasons. My father helped start Comsat, so this was dinner table conversation. 1. The satellite links are longer. Comsats are typically in geostationary orbit at ~36,000 km. Second, because of attenuation, the signal has to be regenerated and amplified both on board the sat and at the receiving ground station. In the early days, that was all slower analog not faster digital. Third, back in the early days, the ground stations were connected to source and destination not by digital FO but by analog TWP or coax. So net delay was ~3 seconds.
An easy to understand analogy today is a ‘slow’ narrowband internet connection versus a fast ‘broadband’ connection. You can push more bits per second through a bigger pipe, so any big download/upload (eg compressed video) is noticably faster.

      • Quest says:

You will also notice that the actual geological distance isn’t always the cause of the delay. The looping that that the electrons do through electronic equipment is usually many times longer than physical distance. Thus, more processed signals will be delayed more.

        Liked by 2 people

    • rayvandune says:

It is almost certainly because a land/sea cable connection is available. Geosynchronous satellites are far enough out that a delay is unavoidable – the speed of light cannot be overcome with technology. Low altitude satellite networks such as Iridium Next will not suffer the same delay, but they are just coming on line. I do not believe the existing nets are designed for full video, nor are the new ones – I might be wrong. They are for other purposes such as emergency location, ship tracking, and ad hoc voice communication.

      • Quest says:

Sorry, I’m not a communications engineer, but as far as I know, most Live TV signals are bounced of satellites. The geosynchronous satellites are only 10,000 miles up which is a delay of less than .2 seconds up and down. With one way signals such as live feeds, the satellites are still the cheapest method, especially since most of the TV equipment was designed years ago to use this method.

Radio transmissions travel at the speed of light whether through the atmosphere or through a fiber optic cable. We normally think of the speed of light as 186,000 miles/second but that is in a true vacuum. The speed of light in our atmosphere or through a fiber optic cable is about 31% slower or 128,000 mi/sec. All things being equal, the 10,000 mile trip via terrestrial cable is considerably shorter than the 50,000 mile trip to a satellite and back.

      Liked by 1 person

    • BakoCarl says:

GeoSynch satellites are at a bit above 22,000 miles altitude. It would take radio waves a little under a quarter of a second to travel the up-and-down distance. Delay would more than likely be caused by the satellite relay processing and circuitry and the ground reception and processing circuitry.

Vespucciland and Treepers, I am compiling notes and videos of this historic Trump/Kim (& Pompeo) time to help teachers explain to our American children exactly WHY we are celebrating hope for peaceful times: Why we celebrate July 4 and the flag, Why we “distrust communist reporters”, etc.
It seems our American students are not aware of our place & past in global events. (I’m sure I was the same). Have we been shielded from history of wars and dangerous governments? Do we know the daily experiences of other children around the world? (When you’re older, you will meet them and share this universe)
Where to start with classroom-teacher lesson plans? I don’t know. Lives of their own grandparents’ and great-grandparents’ might help connect students with history.
Will you all recommend books/films/inspirations that switched the lightbulb “on” in your thoughts when you were young students? or was it lessons learned from your family during your childhood?
I am writing for elementary grade levels.

We were use to grabbing our books and papers when the bell rang and running out of the class room.

One year we had a new teacher, a grizzled, tough Army vet for algebra.

The bell rang to dismiss class we grabbed our books and papers and started to run out of the room and he barked and snarled ” YOU ARE DISMISSED WHEN I SAY YOU ARE DISMISSED!!!!!!”.

Every single one of us meekly sat back down while he gave us the “drill sergeant stare” and when the whole room was completely still and quiet he said “class dismissed”.

We all got up very orderly and respectfully and left the room.

For the rest of the year we did not move a muscle, even when the bell rang, until he gave us permission to leave.

He was one of our favorite teachers, the guys really loved him and looked up to him.

That’s how I feel when people here post things and don’t clearly state what they are. Too many malicious things on the internet to take a chance and click on something just because it’s at a site I might like. I think anyone posting a link or video should say what it is so that people know before clicking.

Since Reagan it’s gotten far worse, and that’s not just the Democrats we had. The media should be held to account for their participation in the efforts to overthrow America’s system of government. 4) Trump negotiates beginning of de-nuclearization of NK, media says it’ll be like the Iran deal with no teeth, accidentally supports Trump’s position that Obama foreign policy was weak and didn’t effectuate any change in Iran.

    5) Trump gets his work done early, media complains he didn’t waste time with photo ops with the media.

    – North and South Korea are seriously talking for the first time in over a decade about ending the war and even reunifying.
    – North Korea has released all American citizens held in detention.
    – North Korea has not fired a missile since December, and has not conducted a nuclear test in that time frame as well.
    – North Korea blew up one of their major test sites, for what that’s worth as it was likely useless by then anyway.
    – The Leader of North Korea peacefully stepped into South Korea for the first time ever.
    – The Leader of North Korea actually left his country by plane to travel to a capitalist state.
    – North Korea has agreed to repatriate all American POW/MIA remains.
    – North Korea’s human rights abuses were officially mentioned to Kim Jong Un himself as something that needs to change if his country is going to economically survive (IOW, receive foreign investment).
    – North Korea unequivocally knows that any chicanery will result in even more punishment.

And what did Trump give up?
    – Some worldwide airtime for Kim
    – “I won’t fly bombers dangerously close to your territory if you behave and actually abide by what you have agreed to.”

In his haste to reach an agreement, President Trump elevated North Korea to the level of the United States while preserving the regime’s status quo. The millions of families currently living in fear of nuclear weapons in the region deserve strong and smart leadership built-in diplomacy and engagement with our regional partners and allies.
