NAFTA Watch Twitch #1 – Close Emissary To Meet Moon Jae-in…

Just ‘twitches’ – We explained yesterday how Moon Jae-in relates to the NAFTA exit (SEE HERE).  We showed last year how President Trump uses specific emissaries, only the most trustworthy, for critical geopolitical messaging in advance of big action. Well…

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, a senior White House adviser, will meet South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Friday as part of a weekend trip to lead the U.S. delegation to the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics. (read more)

A senior administration official, speaking to reporters on condition of anonymity, said Ivanka Trump will dine with Moon at the Blue House in Seoul on Friday night. She has no plans to meet with North Korean officials, the official said.

White House Delegation Announcement HERE.

Ivanka Trump carries the diplomatic message.

[…]  Justin from Canada recently signed up to the Trans-Pacific Partnership.  With that decision the fatal flaw -from a U.S. perspective- just became the final straw to end the U.S. participation in NAFTA.

The U.S. cannot make any bilateral trade deals with TPP nations while those same TPP nations have an alternative access route to the U.S. market through Canada via NAFTA.

Therefore the only way for President Trump to finish a trade agreement with South Korea (current tense negotiations – see Samsung etc.) is to first remove their NAFTA alternative. Anticipating this reality S-Korea also filed a WTO trade challenge earlier today.

Understandably, South Korea is currently hosting the U.S. Olympics and it would have been extremely poor form, very impolite, and economically very destabilizing for Moon Jae-in if POTUS Trump had made the NAFTA announcement in the months/weeks leading up to their international spotlight event.  (more)

The Kim Dynasty is renowned for the “silver” as well as the “lead”. Silver works better on guys like these, and BECOMES lead after they go home and realize it’s all on tape. Don’t even think of switching sides. I’m sure Beelzebubba owed this guy BIG TIME.

Took me a while to figure out the Kims weren’t just using it to keep the generals in line.

            Great question.

The inner picture is the one that was taken for Clinton’s trip. It does NOT show the 9/11 celebratory symbolic stuff on the right-hand edge of the picture (think Christiane Amanpour). That is only found in a few pictures of the mural. Clinton’s picture was superimposed on it to help show the connection.

This would be like taking pictures with Shinzo Abe in front of an orange background. Zoom out, and that orange background is the atomic fireball over Hiroshima.

Communists love to do this stuff. I have a great story about that, but it will not be known until The Storm has begun or passed.

People way above my pay grade told the story about that pic and what is behind is beyond evil and inhumane.
In due time all will come into focus as the president moves forward to really indeed make America great again!

Sundance sees the complete pic from a 40,000 ft view and never misses a thing. I’m sure “Hi Tom” (Donohue)” has read here again.
Now it makes sense that 21 Republicans – Tom Donohue ones – wrote a letter to Donald Trump two days ago demanding to join the TPP. Their timing is suspect but what else is new with them? They remain the ‘NeverTrump’.

Don’t have any issues with trump using family members he can trust, but I really don’t understand treepers praising someone who supports planned parenthood, homosexuality, nanny state garbage, disdains fly over Americans, and regularly hangs out with the “ masters of the universe crowd”. The Bible says a mans foes are they of his own house. Trumps sons seem to be a lot better person than his daughter. Honestly His daughter is not a good influence or strength for him.

She doesn’t disdain “fly over Americans” any more than her dad does. What an unChristian, hate filled comment. Reread the 10 Commandments. One deals with bearing false testimony. Additionally, the “crowd” you refer to is due to being raised in NYC and is the SAME crowd her dad has socialized with for decades. It is a positive to know different Americans with opinions that may not match your own. POTUS understands this. It’s sad that you still want to deminize people who don’t agree with you. Finally, the policy items you listed are ones her dad is open to as well. Ditto many of his supporters. Hatred of others is one big reason social Conservatives are so repugnant to most voters. Trump approached ALL Americans with Love instead. That’s why he won.

You have harsher words to say about me telling the truth about Ivanka than u do about someone who supports planned parenthood (which helped to murder 55 million babies). Save your sanctimonious harshness for the people who really have hate. Trump and Melania both have a humbleness about them that allows them identify with common ordinary americans, and yes Ivanka disdains those ordinary americans. I guess Trump was full of love when he stated many illegals were rapist and murders. He didn’t win because he was full of love. He won because he was able to connect with the voters, he wasn’t a politician, and he promised to get something done (end nafta, build wall, stop illegal immigration). Yea, go reread those ten commandments Cozette, all of them

      From the article linked above:

The first annual economic report by the president’s Council of Economic Advisors said tax cuts, deregulation and other pro-growth policies would increase economic growth to 3.1 percent in 2018 and keep it above 3.1 percent through 2020.

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been hovering around 2.5 percent following the Great Recession of 2007, which was deemed the “new normal” that replaced historic norms of 3 percent and higher.

I have shared the following on threads dealing with NAFTA and other trade agreements. I concur with the President’s Council of Economic Advisors for the goal of 3.1% for 2018. However, our President is in the process of getting our GDP to 5%+ by 2024. He and his Killers know exactly what has to occur!

2018 will be the year our President handles our trade agreements!

What is holding our country and economy back is the IMPORTS that we are reliant upon. Notice in the 4th Quarter and for the 2017 year, there was an increase (acceleration) of imports which is subtracted from our GDP totals. Our President and his Killers absolutely understand that this was the plan of GHB, Bill Clinton, GWB & BHO. NAFTA & China becoming part of the WTO are the two creatures that was born and nurtured by these POS.

Realistically, a goal of 3% GDP for the 2018 year is what we should all aim for. The idea of 4% or 5% is not realistic at this time. The reason being, our need for imports. We saw Chrysler announce they are closing a factory in Mexico and expanding their factory in Michigan. Campbell Soup is closing their factory in Toronto, Canada and bringing their entire operation back to the US. Samsung and LG are opening new factories in SC and TN this year. Mazda and Toyota are expanding their production in the US with their factory in Alabama. GM is closing their factory in South Korea and is coming back to Detroit.

      http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory/gm-close-auto-plant-south-korea-restructuring-53033702

If the Mexicans and Canadians don’t agree to our terms with NAFTA, we need to get the hell out of there immediately. This will cause many new announcements of companies coming BACK to the US.

Putting these tariffs on solar panels and washing machines may effect the price by $50 but it allows Whirlpool and other US companies an opportunity to compete. Our President will be announcing massive tariffs on steel and aluminum within the next 90 days. Once again it will cost US consumers some additional money but it will bring our steel and aluminum companies back to life.

Everything I described will truly have AMERICA BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER! Cutting our need on imports has a multiplier effect. Our GDP by 2019 and 2020 will be closing in if not at 4% Annual GDP. By the time our President walks away on January 20, 2025, 5%+ GDP will become the new normal because factories will once again be up & booming like they did before NAFTA and China’s introduction into the WTO.

Everything I described will truly have AMERICA BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!

Yep. Over here in beautiful downtown Deutschland decent Mexican food is, sadly, thin on the ground, although the ingredients are plentiful (and there is a growing population of chiliheads to justify all manner of peppers and hot sauces – just no REAL restaurants).
Seems the folks here don’t like the ultra-hot peppers, but that’s changing with the younger generation (thank goodness).

Having said that, we have “Doppelbock” beer and Weihnachtsbier around Christmas which sounds similar to your XXX Equis, and both white and Reposado Tequila. Haven’t seen anything like 151 around, but there are local versions of “everclear” that *cough* can be found… Hmmm. Crushed, cubes, or ground ice…

Sylvia, start with a real margarita to get you started. Lived in Mexico for years so my Spanish is far superior to the majority of illegals here as most come what we called the “cerros” (mountains or small towns). They don’t have Social Security in Mexico so they work but no real benefits. All of which makes our country very appetizing to them. However, ALL need to be deported down to the 5th generation because I am sick and tired of the massive robberies, rapes, stealing like there is no tomorrow, leeching in any and every way they can, insulting us, thinking this is their country (I remind them that Santana was with his mistress and too busy there to actually fight – this is true by the way), that we paid for the land, and it was not theirs in any case but belonged to the real indigenous people and indians, throw trash everywhere, etc., etc. We need them like a hole in the head to destroy our cities/states but the blue states love those votes and discount the multiple crimes committed. Disgusting and I think even worse here in CA but maybe not.

Yeah, and even if you don’t go to a Mexican restaurant, the food is likely prepared by Mexicans (at least in California)…

Last time we were over on vacation, we went to a “German” restaurant, and the cooks were Mexican. No offense, but Sauerbraten, Rinder Rouladen, and Spätzle, etc., are best done by folks from the “old country”, of which there are MANY in Kalifornistan who could do the job… Went to an IHOP, same thing. Round Table: ditto. Steak House. Yep…

Then, take a look at the kitchens/storage areas. If you dare (or can)… ’nuff said.

We don’t really have real Mexican restaurants at least in CA because they have Americanized it and Americans seem to think the jalapeno pepper is the best. NO WAY, JOSE! Only used once a year in Mexico City and was stuffed with tuna fish because all you get is heat and no flavor. Serrano is the chief, but also others are great too like Pipian which is also another favorite of mind but not available here. A real salsa whether red or green is made with Serrano. And I love verde enchiladas and am starting to drool now. I also make a real Spanish sangria as I don’t like the one here or in Mexico. Make it only at Christmas and mostly for me.

I like green Serranos (could get them all the time in California) but I can only get imported red ones here, so I’m gonna try. Back in CA we had a Food-4-Less nearby that had buckets and buckets of the various peppers. One of the first places we stop when visiting on vacation 🙂

Yep. Jalos just don’t do it anymore. There are a lot of Indian and Asian peppers around, and it’s possible to get seeds (and even plants) from a chilihead store here (founded by a computer geek, so it’s no surprise). He has lots of recipes, and infos, so I suspect he’s sort of the “Johnny Chiliseed” of sorts here (Harald Zoschke). So there’s hope, at least with http://www.pepperworld.com/ around.

We have chile pequin and chili tepin here, as well as bird-eye. I make my own chile mix with them and Chiles de Arbol, which I notice is the same combo that Cholula uses
(no wonder I liked that). Dave’s Insanity sauces can also be found here with a little hunting.

Germany has really good Greek and Italian restaurants; Indian, not so much. I find the English have better Indian and Chinese food than here, though Chinese in SF is better
(helps to have friends that know the good places). Holland is famous for their “Reistafel”, derived from their Indonesian connections, and they sort of do OK with Mexican. Due to their being on the coast, they get folks from everywhere and that adds to the variety, I suppose. I just wish they wouldn’t localize the food so much, e.g. potato chips that are hotter than he!! but really mild paprika flavor. I guess that beats the Curried Prawn flavor I saw at a Tesco’s in Scotland (Hmmm – does it pair well with Haggis? )…

Another TWITCH: Came via e-mail from the John Burch outfit:::

Stop the NAFTA Redo: Stop Trade Promotion Authority Extension

When Congress passed and granted Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) to then-President Barack Obama in 2015, it included an expiration date of June 30, 2018. The expiration is automatic, unless President Trump requests an extension, which would extend TPA to July 1, 2021, according to the Congressional Research Service.

Congress should reassert its constitutional authority, under Article I, Section 8, Clause 3, of regulating commerce with foreign nations by ending TPA. All it will take to end TPA is for the majority of one legislative chamber of Congress (either the House or Senate) to pass an extension disapproval resolution.

Without TPA, a newly renegotiated North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) would likely not pass out of Congress. Instead, it would be subject to debate, the possibility of amendments in both House and Senate, and filibuster in the Senate (requiring 60 votes to end a filibuster and proceed).

Stopping congressional approval of a renegotiated NAFTA would set the stage for influencing Congress to get the U.S. completely out of NAFTA. There would be no better deal for the American people and our national sovereignty than U.S. withdrawal from the disastrous NAFTA treaty.

Many of you can recall that back in 1993 when the NAFTA agreement was being considered by Congress, Henry Kissinger wrote an article for the Los Angeles Times entitled “With NAFTA, U.S. Finally Creates a New World Order.” That title alone reveals why we say that NAFTA is not about jobs, but about our freedom and independence. In this article Kissinger referred to NAFTA as “the most creative step toward a new world order taken by any group of countries since the end of the Cold War” and stated further that it “is not a conventional trade agreement, but the architecture of a new international system.”

The NAFTA agreement represents the foundation of the eventual North American Union, a supranational governmental entity that would be comprised of the three formerly sovereign nations, the United States, Canada, and Mexico. For more information about NAFTA and why we should pull out, click on the image on the left to visit our “Get US out! of NAFTA” action project page at JBS.org.

Here are 6 reasons why either the House or Senate should pass a TPA extension disapproval resolution (based on William F. Jasper’s article entitled, “7 Reasons Why Trade Promotion Authority/Fast Track Must Be Defeated,” published on TheNewAmerican.com, on June 5, 2015, when the current TPA was being considered by Congress):

TPA is essential to passage of the very dangerous NAFTA, the forerunner to an EU-like North American Union (NAU), as well as to the potential passage of other sovereignty-killing “free trade” agreements like TTIP, which according to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross the U.S. is “still open to.”
TPA is an unconscionable abdication of constitutional responsibility by Congress.
TPA not only hands Trump unconstitutional powers given to Obama, it potentially gives them to his successor as well.
TPA is another giant step in the unconstitutional transfer of congressional authority to the president.
TPA also challenges the Constitution by violating the requirement that treaties be ratified by a super-majority vote of two-thirds of the U.S. Senate.
The TPA will speed the transfer of immense power to federal and international judges to eviscerate the Constitution; to strike down federal, state, and local laws; and to legislate from the bench.

Please phone your representative (202-225-3121) and senators (202-224-3121), tell them or someone on the staff a few of the above 6 reasons why to disapprove extending TPA and ask them to sponsor and ultimately pass an extension disapproval resolution for TPA.

Then, send an email to your representative and senators with the same message for additional impact.

    Thanks.

See! Making J Birch write on the board a hundred times, “Nafta, TPP, and TPA is bad for the USA,” does not make the statement untrue.

Making another student write a hundred times, “If J Birch said it, then it is stupid and wrong,” does not make his statement true.

VSG PDJT is right. Fair and free trade is found only in bilateral agreements that can be adjusted as circumstances arise.

He better not even consider it. We really need to get rid of a lot of congress this year and get good conservative patriots in there.

no-nonsense-nancy. Conservatives? Who are they today? I dropped out of the Tea Party and do not consider myself a conservative because it a way different definition that what we used to call conservative. I am an Independent and lean more to being a nationalist (good one, of course) and want my America MAGA. I remember the Tea Party recommending “conservatives” but once elected became turncoats, somewhat like Ernst. I just say now PATRIOTS just like was used during the Founding of our country days.

Pardon me if I’m too suspicious (might have something to do with who’s tweeting this), but I question motive here and wonder if this is subtle attemp to push to keep NAFTA. Am I wrong?

Yep, NAFTA is only the first step!!!

Just like the EU was only supposed to be a “monetary union” (where the north gets to pay for the profligacy of the south; e.g. Germany is paying for Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain, and possibly even France), but now the unelected, untouchable European Commission makes all the laws, and the individual, emasculated countries, are bound to follow them…

Bama Mom, if Warner is pushing this, then take warning as he is not a Trump man nor our man, but just for himself as most in the 2 parties in 1 are. If Trump can see value in doing this, then I will support him, but being a great businessman and liking some sports, who knows what he will do until he does it.

The reports in the SK press about Ivanka’s visit is rather amusing in the sense that it shows the cross cultural divide, or ‘lost in translation’ phenomena. It happens in the US also amongst those not unfavorably disposed to the President (excluding the Left who are functionally self-labotimized), who do not understand the President’s agenda, nor his MO.

The visit is well covered and the SK press and they are saying that Ivanka will meet with women defectors (as did the VP) organized by the State Department rather than Moon’s government to avoid any embarrassment or NK diatribes as he is trying to set negotiations and improve cross peninsula relations. All good, culturally sensitive and appreciated. Then the reports say that Moon is treating Ivanka with a ‘royal’ reception, because he is trying to smooze her so that she will pressure her father to be more receptive to Moon’s efforts to defuse the tensions between north and south (very Asian cultural moves). They completely missed the trade aspect altogether.

Another example of the cultural divide, is that when Kim’s sister came to SK, the SK press (wildly curious) kept calling her North Korea’s ‘Ivanka’. I didn’t post this before because treepers might have sent me to Coventry. Welcome to the world of translation. 😀 😀

Heard this said about the sister immediately,so don’t feel bad that you are dropping info you shouldn’t. Ivanka is much more lovely and I bet far more intelligent than Kim’s sister who thought giving the evil eye to Pense was okay again showing NK Kims are all slightly to greatly mentally disturbed. Every time I see the picture of Kim family members looking like their next step will be that of dying makes me feel said that the NK people are so mesmerized that they think Kim as ruler is a good thing.

I didn’t mention it because it may have set off a tempest in a teacup reaction. It seems Neville Chamberlain Moon, knows the score and has admonished the press that “You’re looking for after-meal, boiled rice water in most unlikely places.”. This is an old saying, meaning he is going to go slow and see what NK will put on the table.

It wasn’t lost on anyone that Kim’s sister was whispering in his ears and giving him double-handed squeezes (caught on camera). Most realize that the message was desperation to get him to meet with NK (sans US) and to try to weaken sanctions.

All three joint US/SK military exercises are on schedule, despite the rhetoric from the KCNA that it means ‘war’. They are now saying talks or war we are ready for both. (I’ve left out the nasty hyperbole stuff).

With Germany in the throes of being calphicated, I will miss the Dresden fair with great beer and sausages and buy great shoes there as well. Beautiflly restored after WWII but somehow I can see the muzzies destroying stuff there and elsewhere in Germany thanks to the Nazi Merkel. This also worries us for my husband’s siblings there and did not want to come to live with us and now suffering under the islamists. To us the EU is a goner now.

The AfD (our deplorables) are now polling (OK, I know) higher that the SPD (our socialists) in seven or eight Bundesländer (states). The CDU/CSU is trying to recover from Merkel, and regain the conservative vote, but it looks like she’s failed there, too.

I almost get the feeling we’re going to get four years of lame-duck government, as they know that after that, their proverbial (albeit horrible metaphor) goose is cooked…

What a brilliant move to send the stunningly beautiful and capable Ivanka to deliver the implied message of AMERICA FIRST . She is adored in the pacific rim . The message being sent to the WTO …” we don’t need no stinkin WTO ”

Justin Trudeau, boy commie wonder, just pulled the pin on the Canadian Housing Bubble grenade . As NAFTA falls apart by sheer refusal to negotiate by Mexico and Canada not the reverberations will Tsunami through the TPP members .

With not path AROUND the Badger Lighthizer and POTUS entry in to the US Market their products will suddenly become perishable . Like a crack dealer fining out his customer base is suddenly all in the 12 step program . Watch for FIRE SALE of “crack “TPP member products .

TPP member producers will be lined up to build manufacturing plants inside the US and hire American workers .

All one need to is watch HGTV shows filmed in Canada with the inflated housing prices . That BUBBLE will now burst as NAFTA fleecing of the American people comes to an end . Canada and Mexico being a stop along the way to backdoor Chinese products in to the USA no longer being a viable option .

Canada and Mexico will be like the GAS STATION along the old route main drag as the Interstate Highway is competed with NO OFF RAMP to access their business’ . I’ll be on FIRE SALE watch from Canadians dumping their Myrtle Beach condos in the BUBBLE BURST !!

I truly wish that President Trump wouldn’t have to be so stern. He has to, though. The world has currently gone to the criminals, and to get it back again, America needed a leader who knows what is right, and knows to not quit seeking RIGHT’S reign.

Stern is exactly what it takes to reestablish the economic balance and leverage that has been systematically exploited (globalist trade agreements), intentionally squandered ($10 trillion debt increase with no American Homeland improvement), and diabolically siphoned (Iran nuke $ transfer) from the American economic system.

The perpetrators have been revealed and the motives are clearly known.

    Trump Doctrine….

“Unacceptable behavior, that has been institutionally accepted, is unacceptable”

Trump is applying this concept to all the political landmines he has been gifted

It is the essence of MAGA

In the wake of the latest school shooting tragedy, I expect Trump’s solution instincts to be as keen as ever as he develops coherent, common sense, policy guidelines to reform school safety systems that have been negligent for decades.
