Pope Francis Criticizes President Trump For Recognizing Jerusalem…

The Holy Father, Pope ‘Marxist‘ Francis, continues to affirm a legacy best described as a political activist in the Vatican.  A far-left religious figurehead for Catholics who prefer, well, a more totalitarian flavor within their faith.  As such, Pope Francis advocates for the UN position toward Israel; which is to quietly say, get rid of it.

(NYP) […] In an appeal at the end of his weekly general audience, Francis called for all to honor United Nations resolutions on the city, which is sacred to Jews, Christians and Muslims.

“I make a heartfelt appeal so that all commit themselves to respecting the status quo of the city, in conformity with the pertinent resolutions of the United Nations,” he said.

The Vatican backs a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with both sides agreeing on the status of Jerusalem as part of the peace process.

Palestinians want East Jerusalem as the capital of their future independent state, whereas Israel has declared the whole city to be its “united and eternal” capital.

The pope told thousands of people at his general audience: “I cannot keep quiet about my deep worry about the situation that has been created in the last few days.”

He said he hoped “wisdom and prudence prevail, in order to avoid adding new elements of tension to a global panorama that is already convulsed and marked by so many and cruel conflicts.”

In 2012, the Vatican called for “an internationally guaranteed special statute” for Jerusalem, aimed at “safeguarding the freedom of religion and of conscience, the identity and sacred character of Jerusalem as a Holy City, (and) respect for, and freedom of, access to its holy places.”

Before making his public comments, Francis met privately with a group of Palestinians involved in inter-religious dialogue with the Vatican.  (read more)

As a proud Catholic, it is a sad day when my Pope sees less value in Numbers 24:9 than my President, “Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed, and whoever curses Israel will be cursed.”

“Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed, and whoever curses Israel will be cursed.”

Has it ever crossed your mind that just because the nation of today is named “Israel” that it doesn’t automatically qualify for the blessing of God which He gave to the descendants of Israel? If you name your dog “Israel”, does that mean those who bless your dog will be blessed, and whoever curses your dog will be cursed?

Ever since the Jews called for Barabbas to be released and for Jesus to be crucified they have had nothing but heartache and misery. They turned their hearts, minds and wills against the King of the Jews. It was bad enough for their disobedience and unfaithfulness in the wilderness but calling for his death was an unspeakable thing to do.

Same here, Ryan. I kind of gave up on the Catholic church when they were telling us who to vote for during Mass. They get all that money for sending refugees here. They are such phonies. My first accounting job included handling part of the Vatican account. If you want to talk about sleaze, none of them have any reason to talk.

Didn’t ISIS recently say they wanted to attack the Vatican (and part of Italy) to make it part of their Caliphate?

Should we appease them on that also, Pope?

“In 1953, Manning Johnson, a former propaganda director for the Communist Party in America, testified to the U.S. Congress that Marxists had infiltrated Catholic seminaries. “In the earliest stages it was determined that with only small forces available it would be necessary to concentrate Communist agents in the seminaries and divinity schools,” he said. “The practical conclusion, drawn by the Red leaders, was that these institutions would make it possible for a small Communist minority to influence the ideology of future clergymen in the paths most conducive to Communist purposes.”

The pope, being a Marxist, has aligned himself with Islam. In his written statement he says that there is no violence in Islam. The man is a fool and has sold out his Catholic followers.

To those of you calling Francis “the first anti-Israel Pope” or at least implying that you think he’s “the first anti-Israel Pope.” You don’t know history. Relations between the Vatican and Israel have ALWAYS been tense.

Pius XII was outright pro-Arab, and refused to recognize Israel as a state. He considered the Jewish occupation of the Holy Land to be blasphemous against Christianity, and considered the Arabs to be the lesser of two evils because there was a small Christian minority among them. For context, this was before the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, and when ethnic nationalism was the dominant ideology of the Arabs. It was also before Vatican II, when the Church finally did away with the “Jewish deicide” doctrine. Pius also despised the socialist ideology of Israel’s founding fathers, and expressed concerns that Israel would become a Soviet satellite state in the Middle East (Pius was a fierce anti-Communist).

John XXIII was equally hostile to Israel.

Paul VI was more friendly to Israel than his two predecessors. He attempted to mediate in the peace process and on multiple occasions hosted Israeli officials at the Vatican. But he still refused to recognize Israel as a state.

John Paul I died only one month into his reign. The only thing he did in relation to Israel was express support for the Camp David accords.

John Paul II was the first Pope to recognize Israel as a state. However, he continued his predecessors’ policy of having pro-Arab tendencies due to the Christian minority among the Arabs.

Benedict XVI and Francis have largely followed John Paul II’s policies, as far as I’m concerned.
