The Demise of Dissent: Why the Web Is Becoming Homogenized

We’ve all heard that the problem with the web is fake news, i.e. unsubstantiated or erroneous content that’s designed to mislead or sow confusion.

The problem isn’t just fake news–it’s the homogenization of the web, that is, the elimination or marginalization of independent voices of skepticism and dissent.

    • Hopefully homogenization will be because the best ideas have prevailed.

Dora – my husband just asked me to google the anti immigrant marches in England. The only place you could find it was on you-tube. You had to have the official name “Football Lads Alliance and Vets” in order to find anything about it on google. The British press referred to the march as the far right. It was so obviously the working class who is fed up. There were thousands of people at the Oct. 7 march.

Yep. It’s not so much homogenization as out and out censorship. I think before long alternate nets will start springing up that can’t be stopped by the supercomputers and AI that the globalists are using to crush any opposition. There are many, MANY techniques to get around what they’re doing. The “darknet” is but one…

I don’t believe that. What they are wobbly-kneed over is passing a amnesty version of immigration reform. The US Chamber of commerce want amnesty and open borders, the American people want no amnesty, control the border, and send illegal border crossers home. 300 million citizens vs 300,000 members of the US Chamber of Commerce.

Here is the dynamic that is crippling our Congress:
The US Chamber of Commerce give our representatives a huge amounts of money.

      The American People vote.

Believe me if they Congress could sneak amnesty through, while ignoring the border, they would – just look at how close it was when the Citizens of VA canned Eric Cantor.

Yup. As reported by Rebel Media on the scene, Pres Trump sent representatives from the U.S.

Pres Trump sent Energy Company Executives from LNG, coal, and nuclear companies, presenting alternative methods to all the greenie nonsense (solar, wind, etc).

His scheme is probably to fabricate a charge of some sort based upon Homey Comey, Flynn, and Homeys firing and refer it to the House Judiciary Committee for impeachment is my bet. He can not indict Trump as a sitting president. He can indict family and friends on whatever they can conjure up in the meantime. If Rosey recuses that is the tell. Rosey can’t be the head honcho and a witness at the same time. He and Sessions would be witnesses in this scheme scenario. He has to hurry up though he is running out of time to get her done. The action will be fast and furious if it comes.

We have become the enemy because we see something disturbing developing even though we are the strongest supporters of POTUS. I am wondering if the opposition does not want us to know what truly is going on…? They will scarifies some of their own just to get P Trump out.
I saw Dershowitz a couple of weeks say on Fox that President Tump has not broken any law. He said the danger is to impeach him and that can be done for any reason if Congress agrees. Firing Comey is not a crime even if he had colluded with Russia is not a crime because there is no law against it.
They have nothing except Comey’s notes and he can fabricate anything. I read someplace Jeb saying “Trump would be out in December.”
To me it showed the possibility that GOP is colluding with Mueller. Evil forces are at work going against POTUS.

    Lowest in US history?
    Why?
    – Because Congress has failed to support our President’s policies that American citizens want.
    – Because congress has been unconcerned about the plight and pain of American citizens.
    – Because donors fill Congress purses for purposes and agendas that work against American citizens jobs and security.

“It is the truth that is feared and it is the truth that is hated. If the uncomfortable and undeniable truth is spoken, and it represents a threat to the continuance of the anti-European anti-Western agenda, then they call it ‘hate speech’ and question the morality of free speech as a tool for spreading ‘hate’ thereby advocating the curtailing of free speech if it doesn’t conform with what they want. This is a very slippery slope to be on because who gets to determine what is to be classified as ‘hate speech’ and what is to be acceptable speech?

This is how free speech will be suppressed, by designating speech that criticises mass immigration, forced multiculturalism and those behind it as being ‘hate speech’ and via the enacting of evermore repressive laws that are designed to force people into self-censorship.

They will label non-conformist free speech as being incitement to racial hatred or as incitement to terrorism because it goes against their globalist agenda. Any utterance of a narrative that deviates from the ‘diversity is our greatest strength’ nonsense will unleash the despotic tyranny of the Globalist/Cultural Marxist state.”

All those people were there on the trip. Nothing seemed off to me when I saw it in terms of clothing being different… and I was following the trip pretty closely. What is interesting is that all of those people have been with him since the early days and were part of his win. Which makes the wording of the tweet even more appropriate.

This photo and tweet were on the one year anniversary of his election. “Congratulations to all of the ”DEPLORABLES” and the millions of people who gave us a MASSIVE (304-227) Electoral College landslide victory! “

President Trump has a strong natural light hitting his face from the open window. That explains why his complexion is brighter and doesn’t have the warm yellow glow of the others.

There is a flash/floodlight behind and to the left of the photographer and it is filling in the (our) left side of President Trump’s face. It’s also hitting the President’s right hand, Dan Scavino’s thumb, and the cards on the desk, lighting them rather unnaturally.

These two light sources focused on President Trump give the impression of a Photoshop cut and paste, but it’s not. Also, a wide-angled lens was used and centered on President Trump. Things start to distort quickly (including faces) as they get further from this centre. Notice how the vertical lines in the wall panelling start tilting as they get further to the right.

          Legit.

But hopefully, Alabama will take a look, pause, and then get back to the business of electing Moore.

Cuz this ain’t about one candidate -Roy Moore- anymore. This is now about We the People vs. a corrupt government.

Roy Moore can be voted out of office if he turns out to be a bad rep. for the People of AL. But if they let the RINOs win this one, it’s over forever, for ALL of us.

“The estimates have been the subject of some contention as they often offer diverging views on the health of the economy. The recent harmony between the two measures means “economists may have some catching up to do,” according to Nicholas Colas, co-founder of DataTrek.”

A LOT of catching up! LOL

My apologies if this has been posted previously.

The other day much was made in the media about how the commander of U.S. strategic forces would resist “illegal” nuke orders from President Trump. I was incensed and was ready to storm the general’s castle with my pitchfork.

The last paragraph of the article linked below is good advice: “Rule of thumb is simply put: anything – anything at all – coming from the legacy media must be examined under the presumption of dishonesty. Don’t respond until after you’ve checked it out, not only down to the ground, but to the basement and subbasements as well. To do anything less is to be a patsy for the left.”

We are on a cusp of an Energy Revolution not seen in this country for decades. The first oil refinery in the past 40 years is scheduled to be built by the end of 2018.

    http://www.oann.com/first-oil-refinery-to-open-in-40-years-breaks-ground-in-west-texas/

    From the article linked below:

The first oil refinery to open in the U.S. in 40 years breaks ground in west Texas.

The MMEX Resources Corporation’s $50 million project is set to be built in Pecos County.

The area holds a significant crude oil supply, and is also railroad accessible.

It will be developed in two phases, and is expected to create hundreds of jobs.

Once it is completed, the 126 acre refinery will be able to process 10,000 barrels of crude oil each day.

Meanwhile, officials plan to file permits for a second unit that would be able to produce 100,000 barrels.

The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2018, and will take up 15 acres.

I am hopeful under PDJT that will finally get pushed through, it would be a boom to growth in the area .

Up here we are handcuffed by enviro loonies. You folks will now be even better off, as Albertans will now have a great route South for their crude.

That her adulthood is characterized by three broken marriages, two bankruptcies, and published reports that she has made a habit of lying about her age and fabricating stories of unwanted attention against men in positions of leadership (including FOUR DIFFERENT church Pastors if these accounts are to be believed).

If they do regain control, it will be our fault. As it always is. Trump gave the GOP a ticket on a rocket to success. They instead tried to contaminate the fuel. But Trump and his people are not exempt from criticism. Tweets and strafing comments here and there do not constitute a war plan against a formidable and relentless cultural enemy. Trump has not defined a strategy of war against the Left. Bannon was alleged to have one, but nothing came of it or him in the administration from what I saw. It was, and is, not complicated. Honestly. But it takes a total effort, a willingness to confront. But it is not happening. MAGA depends on it, in my opinion.

But I never could stand much about the content of that site after Andrew was no more, rest his magnificent heart and soul. Breitbart has rarely been “conservative.” Keep the insidious face of Ted Cruz before you and you will know why you must no longer cry or mourn about Breitbart.

I DO NOT give a dime to the RNC (however, I am willing to accept and respect the arrangement between them and our President (where they get, reportedly, 20%)).

President Donald J. Trump Proclaims Thursday, November 23, 2017, as a National Day of Thanksgiving

    THANKSGIVING DAY, 2017

    – – – – – – –

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

    A PROCLAMATION

On Thanksgiving Day, as we have for nearly four centuries, Americans give thanks to Almighty God for our abundant blessings. We gather with the people we love to show gratitude for our freedom, for our friends and families, and for the prosperous Nation we call home.

In July 1620, more than 100 Pilgrims boarded the Mayflower, fleeing religious persecution and seeking freedom and opportunity in a new and unfamiliar place. These dauntless souls arrived in Plymouth, Massachusetts, in the freezing cold of December 1620. They were greeted by sickness and severe weather, and quickly lost 46 of their fellow travelers. Those who endured the incredible hardship of their first year in America, however, had many reasons for gratitude. They had survived. They were free. And, with the help of the Wampanoag tribe, and a bountiful harvest, they were regaining their health and strength. In thanks to God for these blessings, the new governor of the Plymouth Colony, William Bradford, proclaimed a day of thanksgiving and gathered with the Wampanoag tribe for three days of celebration.

For the next two centuries, many individual colonies and states, primarily in the Northeast, carried on the tradition of fall Thanksgiving festivities. But each state celebrated it on a different day, and sometime on an occasional basis. It was not until 1863 that the holiday was celebrated on one day, nationwide. In the aftermath of the Battle of Gettysburg, of one of the bloodiest battles of our Nation’s Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed that the country would set aside one day to remember its many blessings. “In the midst of a civil war of unequalled magnitude and severity,” President Lincoln proclaimed, we recall the “bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come.” As President Lincoln recognized: “No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy.”

Today, we continue to celebrate Thanksgiving with a grateful and charitable spirit. When we open our hearts and extend our hands to those in need, we show humility for the bountiful gifts we have received. In the aftermath of a succession of tragedies that have stunned and shocked our Nation — Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria; the wildfires that ravaged the West; and, the horrific acts of violence and terror in Las Vegas, New York City, and Sutherland Springs — we have witnessed the generous nature of the American people. In the midst of heartache and turmoil, we are grateful for the swift action of the first responders, law enforcement personnel, military and medical professionals, volunteers, and everyday heroes who embodied our infinite capacity to extend compassion and humanity to our fellow man. As we mourn these painful events, we are ever confident that the perseverance and optimism of the American people will prevail.

We can see, in the courageous Pilgrims who stood on Plymouth Rock in new land, the intrepidness that lies at the core of our American spirit. Just as the Pilgrims did, today Americans stand strong, willing to fight for their families and their futures, to uphold our values, and to confront any challenge.

This Thanksgiving, in addition to rejoicing in precious time spent with loved ones, let us find ways to serve and encourage each other in both word and deed. We also offer a special word of thanks for the brave men and women of our Armed Forces, many of whom must celebrate this holiday separated from the ones for whom they are most thankful. As one people, we seek God’s protection, guidance, and wisdom, as we stand humbled by the abundance of our great Nation and the blessings of freedom, family, and faith.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim Thursday, November 23, 2017, as a National Day of Thanksgiving. I encourage all Americans to gather, in homes and places of worship, to offer a prayer of thanks to God for our many blessings.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this seventeenth day of November, in the year of our Lord two thousand seventeen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-second.

    DONALD J. TRUMP

I thank the Lord daily for PDJT. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a President unafraid to put God back in the conversation as strongly as he does.
