Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Folks: I will put this out there for all Churchill fans. Gary Oldman stars as the Great Man in “Darkest Hour”:

Unlike the hideous Character Assassination that starred Brian Cox, this one gets it RIGHT.

Pass it on: we don’t get too many chances to honor our great heritage. Take the kids, Tell everyone. (BTW, Gary is a staunch traditionalist and no lefty.)

Enjoying watching ESPN’s progressive self-mulitation ! It shot off some toes with the firing of a genuine baseball hero, Curt Schilling for some concise statistical observations vis a vis muslims and a historical cite of another individual exhibiting the same political/racial proclivities . Corporate “right think” only denying a lot of Little Leaguers ( complete innocents in this corporate blame game ) the opportunity to meet with a baseball legend ! Now we have a black commentator – not a recognized player of any sport – accusing the President of the United States of racism only receiving a slap on the wrist ? Seems the second shot struck higher up the corporate leg. I suggest executives at ESPN and Disney adopt unholstered “appendix carry” !

So, someone recalls Eric Bolling saying on The Five, several years ago, that his car was stolen, and in that statement noting that people should back up their smartphone pics (see quote and link below).

Then, around that time, a few coworkers got “objectionable” pics from his phone.

Then in June 2017 he publishes a book that shows disfavor on the Clintons.

Then, Aug 2017, women come forward complaining about the pics from Bolling, and he loses his job.

Then, Sept 2017, his son ends up dead with no apparent injuries, etc.

“Armywife” comments at Dailywire: I clearly remember Eric Bolling talking about his car being stolen when he was on The Five. He didn’t care about the car being stolen so much, but his message to everyone was “back up your phone pictures” because his phone was stolen and he lost a lot of family photos on the phone. I’ve wondered if the phone was shopped to left haters who could tap into email and send something Eric may have taken for his wife’s eyes only. His car was stolen in 2013 … several years ago … which so happens to be when these women say they received unsolicited photos.”

Junipero Serra statue beheaded, splashed with red paint in Central California
    September 12, 2017

    -snipped-

A bronze statue of the Roman Catholic priest Junipero Serra at the Old Santa Barbara Mission was decapitated and doused with red paint on Sunday night or early Monday morning.

The statue was vandalized in a similar fashion as another Father Serra statue in Monterey last year. That figure, which was beheaded but not painted, has since been repaired. Another, in Santa Cruz, was vandalized with the word “genocide” in late 2015.

Some say that Serra “imposed” Christianity upon natives, forcing them convert and then work on building missions while relinquishing their traditions, customs, dress, and language in favor of Spanish ones.

KEYT in Santa Barbara reports that the local police have already visited the scene to take a report (there are two security cameras near the statue), and that the statue will be removed and replaced.

Meyerland home lifted nearly 6 feet above ground after several floods
    September 12, 2017

    -snipped-

HOUSTON – Imagine what it looks like to see a 4,200-square-foot home lifting off the ground in Meyerland.

After three major and two smaller floods, Frank Inselbuch said his home will soon sit on pillars nearly 6 feet above the ground. The process being used lifts the house about 8 inches per hour.

“A huge relief and a huge weight off of our backs. Even though we were flooded for a third time, we finally feel like our lives can start heading in the right direction,” Inselbuch said.

He said the water rose to 53 inches inside his home during Hurricane Harvey. It was especially frustrating since the lift was scheduled a few days after Harvey approached.

“We’re lifting the house in unison as one piece

The company uses a series of hydraulic jacks inserted under the concrete foundation to lift the home. He said the cost could range from $100 to $300,000, depending on the size and weight of what is being lifted.

The home is expected to attain its final height Wednesday. It will take an additional 45 days to reattach the utilities and secure the home.

When Hurricane Irma Raged Outside, Cop Offered His Hand to Frightened Senior For a Dance

Despite floodwaters raging outside, this police officer was moved inside to take a frightened senior “Beyond the Sea”.

Deputy Froelich was stationed at a hurricane shelter in Florida on Saturday to watch over dozens of other families and state residents seeking refuge from the storm.

One of the evacuees in particular caught Froelich’s eye: a frightened-looking elderly woman who was sitting by herself in the corner.

When the deputy asked if there was anything he could do to cheer her up, she simply responded with “a dance”.

Froelich took her hand and danced with her as he sang “Beyond the Sea” by Bobby Darin, until she eventually cracked a smile

‘TIS THE SEASON … Autumn arrives next week, which means the supermarkets are brimming with seasonal foods. This includes those fancy-flavored coffee creamers. If you’re a fan of the taste — but cringe at the price — here’s a DIY recipe to try. Basically, you start with sweetened condensed milk, add seasonings, and thin it out with milk or cream. Pumpkin Spice is a family favorite, so I’ll be making a few batches this weekend. Enjoy!

Difference between “CONDENSED” and “EVAPORATED” milk:
Condensed milk is referred to as both condensed milk and sweetened condensed milk; the names are synonymous. This shelf-stable product is a form of concentrated milk in which about 60 percent of the water content has been removed, after which sugar is added before canning. Condensed milk is available in both fat-free and low-fat versions.
Sweetened condensed milk contains 40 to 45 percent sugar. It is rich and thick, with a caramel color and a super-sweet flavor. You won’t see any products labeled as UNsweetened condensed milk, since that’s essentially evaporated milk.

Ah yes, I remember that, very well as in our family growing up the Ed Sullivan Show was on at 8pm and it was never missed in our home. You just reminded me of all the times the guy with spinning plates was on the show, seemed like every other week. But my favorite memories were when the Beatles were on, I and my three girlfriends were always about two feet from the tv, hogging the view as we watched with joy. Then the Stones, Hermen’s Hermits, The Dave Clark Five and all those English groups, we were smitten.
We four were so lucky to see the Beatles twice. 😉

Got to see Jonathan Winters (doing Maudie Frickett) AND Paul Anka. Would have been a home run for me had I been able to see the Beatles instead, but I had moved back to Utah by then. And I LOVED the British invasion.

He did a really wild math figure on a blackboard. The numbers DIDN’T add up but his wacky explanation backed his assertion. BTW, if you go over to Wikipedia, you will get an understanding of a humanitarian known as Ed Sullivan. Studio heads told him NOT to have black entertainers on his show but he defied them and did anyway.

Thanks will do. I always liked that show, growing in So Cal, we went to school with everyone, there was was no racial animosity. I’ve been posting about this incident for a couple of weeks. The word in the black community is that the fix was in from the beginning. The judge has taken over a month to come up with a verdict, something a jury would have to come up with before they can leave. The judge’s delay has not helped matters and adds fuel to the claim the fix was in. Add the fact that both the black clergy and black police officers’ association are calling for a conviction and are supporting “peaceful” demonstrations.

It has all indications of being a very hot weekend in the St. Louis area.
