Wednesday August 2nd – Open Thread

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Can’t see the Bass player. any anything with Emmy Lou is great. l Love her, have seen her live many times even met her. Sam Bush band seen him in many of his bands, he is a great guy, fun, fun performer. I used to go to a favorite couple of festivals every year, met Sam many times. His usual bass player and bandmate from the 70’s is John Cowan, who has a fabulous voice. Thanks for the memories Garrison 🙂

Wkikleaks has a 100% accuracy record and just the fact that Julian Assange tweeted the link to Seymour Hersh’s recording gives this credibility.

Seymour Hersh is possibly the most respected investigative journalist in the world. He broke the Vietnam My Lai massacre and Abu Ghraib torture stories while working for the NY Times. He is a long time writer for the New Yorker. He’s made documentaries for PBS. This is not just one of their own, but one of the most respected and esteemed members of the MSM saying Seth Rich leaked the emails, not Russia hacking, directly before he was assassinated.

To realize the importance of this video, we now know that Seth was responsible for the DNC emails. What has the whole Trump-Russia collusion narrative been based off of? The fact that Russia “hacked our democracy” by hacking the DNC emails. If it’s proven that Russia isn’t responsible for the emails, then the entire Trump-Russia story collapses. His name was Seth Rich.

It would not surprise me to find out that Hersh has seen a report somewhere, or has good inside intel. Hersh used to be the old “gum-shoe” type of reporter in his early years.

I think we all have been saying essentially the same things that Hersh has said.

He claims Seth Rich created a “drop box” that Wikileaks had access to; and there was a scam attempt by Brennan, Clapper, Rogers (?) that name concerned me, Obie, etc to control the outcome of the election.

One thing that I read yesterday, I’m sure I captured it, I’ll come back with a link later; but someone was claiming that the Awan guy was in that bar with Seth Rich.

Oh my, I need the goodness of Christ and the backing of the Treehouse this morning.

I spent last night in the swamp with swamp creatures — aka a congressional district meeting.

Spent most of my life in politics and right before Donald Trump announced his run for the Presidency I said I was OUT all together. Then Trump announced his bid and I knew I had to dive back into the cesspool.

The leaders of my district did their best to keep me from attending the national convention. It is not something I imagine happened, there are specific things and events that took place that when pieced together tell me without a doubt that the leaders of my district did their best to keep me from attending — because I was for Donald Trump from the start and they did not like him or me. God, and God alone, made my path straight and clear, and I went despite the sins of men. The last knife they placed in my back is the fact that my name is not on the official roll of attendees to the national convention. Instead they have my husband’s name in the book. At least they entered the name of someone who truly was for Donald Trump!

So I spent a couple hours watching and listening to what they are doing, being dissed by a few people (the leader was passing out agendas to every Chair but walked by me without handing me an agenda — looking at me as he did — what a creep), and taking lots-o-notes.

At one point I brought up how Judge Jeanine said Republicans need to pull up their big-boy pants and how Chris Hahn remarked to her that ‘Republicans don’t even have big-boy pants’ and I heard gasps from a few men in the room. Oh their tender sensibilities had been pricked. Nice boy Republicans I’m guessing, who don’t want to stir the pot or speak the truth in case it might upset someone else. Yes right buddy, you need to have big-boy pants and actually wear them in order to get things done.

At this point I believe I am wearing the big-boy pants, and it is an uncomfortable fit to say the least.

Thanks for letting me rant from the bottom of the swamp.

            Hello sweet Duchess,

Funny thing about this old lady — no one is going to stop me from speaking, which might be why I go through the trials I do. They may be self inflicted! Yes, since I don’t remain silent then I guess they are self inflicted.

Instead of not talking I am making a stand and talking even more. I became the county Chair and have had booths in two county events so far this year and will be in the county fair later this month with an even bigger booth. I plan on having a Yuge board covered with the blank back side of Tyvex in my booth, a bunch of colored sharpies and will ask people to write encouraging messages to President Trump on the board. After the fair I’ll send the folded “card” to our President, praying it will be an encouraging thing for him to see from an area he knows is a Dem stronghold.

I really liked being reminded here at the Treehouse in the last few days about David’s prayers to God concerning his enemies. God is so gracious to us — He even gives us words to agree with when it comes to our enemies, and lets us know He’s “got” them all.

It doesn’t seem right to make decisions without weighing the potential consequences pro & Con before casting votes. This happened a number of times & I didn’t get how so many times decisions could be made without fully hashing out potential problems…Thanks for being there & Fighting the Good Fight!

I’m sorry I’m not going to be able to finish my ice fishing story with Ponytail Kim. Every time I’d get a few paragraphs typed, it would blank out and tell me there was a problem and the page had to be reloaded. I got a bit frustrated and tired of rewriting, so I’m going to wait to cool down and try tomorrow night.

I had even wrote a post just like this one, and right when I was signing off, POOF! Gone. I wanted to kick something. What bites is I was so looking forward to this story, but it’s getting late and I have an early start in the morning. Believe it or not, it actually takes me about an hour to write it too. Such a slow putz. 🙃

So, I went to Safari, cleared my cache and did an advanced one too. Now I have to re-sign in into everything. So hoping I remember all of my passwords. I write them down and then can’t remember where I put them. I think I have them on my phone now in code, I just have to find those.

I know exactly where I got this crisis too, or at least have my suspicions. First, I’d like to say I am not blaming the person who gave the link, it was just the link itself.

The last Open Thread had a link provided declaring the singer who had hung himself recently was about to tell all about the D.C. pedo ring and maybe the connection to Seth Rich. Foolishly, I clicked on it to see it was a lot of rubbish, and then I really went dumb and clicked on the story about President Trump firing Comey because he knew his involvement in the pedo ring. Silly me.

I do have AdBlock, but I don’t think that helps in these instances. I will just have to ask my husband’s good friend who is a tech guru to save me from repeating this and having more protection.

Hope you all have an awesome day, and I will try again tomorrow.
    Be well and stay smiling,

        • Kathy says:

Text files can be created and saved using word-processing applications such as Notepad, Wordpad, Microsoft Word, etc. (the kinds of apps a student would use to type up a report). Using such applications to “draft” blog comments prevents the frustration maiingankwe experienced today because you can save the text file periodically during the process of getting your thoughts out of your head. It also gives you the chance to proofread, check for spelling, etc., if desired.

BTW, Notepad is a basic no-bells-or-whistles application that often comes pre-loaded on PCs, but you might need to dig a little to get it to run the first time (then once found, a shortcut can be created for your desktop). I keep one Notepad on my desktop all the time for typing up longer comments, save it after proofreading, then just overwrite this file the next time I want to compose a longer blog comment. Yep, I’m a word nerd!

        • I’ve lost major things a number of times by writing items in a place where I couldn’t “save” them periodically so I can Really Relate to the frustration.

I’m no computer expert, but copy/paste I personally usually do with a mouse. Placing the cursor in front of the item you want to copy you hold down the “Left Click” button & drag the cursor across the totality of the text/item. This should result in the item being highlighted in a color (blue?). Placing the cursor over the highlighted portion you can then “Right Click” the mouse & select “copy” from the drop down menu. You then navigate the cursor to where you want to Paste the text/item & “Left Click” that spot so the cursor is there then “Right Click” the drop down menu for “paste” & everything should magically show up in that new location.

I also sometimes use the “keyboard shortcuts” of (“ctrl” + “c”) to copy a highlighted item and (“ctrl” + “v”) to paste something–pressing both keys together to get this process to work. I also often “Right Click” on an item/image to either copy then paste or to choose “Save As” if I want to keep a copy on my own computer.

Hopefully this helps you a little. I’m no computer genius & basically only know a few “tricks” that have been taught to me by some other Younger Dogs! Blessings….& please keep your wonderful memoirs coming!

Yesterday was day 1 of the murder trial of former SLMPD Officer Jason Shockley.

    http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/officer-s-kill-shot-was-fired-six-inches-from-anthony/article_22fce07d-70a6-5ce3-8bcd-b1567f53ed46.html

    A couple of interesting points.

The defense opted for a bench trial, considering the demographic is the City of St. Louis, this appears to be a good move.

The Circuit Attorney’s Office is using a relatively inexperienced prosecutor, Aaron Levinson, in this case who has only five years with the CA Office.

While the defense attorney, Neil Bruntrager, is a seasoned POA attorney. (I’ve known Neil for close to 20 years and have been on opposite sides in a number of cases. He is a formidable opponent.

With that said, Bruntrager did a couple of things that surprised me. Neil claimed that the victim, Anthony Lamar Smith, would have been shoot-able even if he wasn’t armed. An strange claim considering the circumstances. Also, the prosecution is alleging that Stockley planted the gun to justify shooting Smith. So it is odd that Bruntrager appears to be giving ground on this issue.

“What happened that day happened because Anthony Smith made decisions,” Bruntrager said. “He was reckless. … Even if no weapon were found those circumstances would justify the shooting. He acted reasonably.”

The second statement that surprised me is that Neil brought up Stockley’s war “injury.”

“Stockley is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy who was injured while serving in the Army in Iraq, Bruntrager said Tuesday. He did not elaborate on Stockley’s injury.”

Stockley’s injury came up in the civil suit and if true, should have prevented him from being hired as a police officer as it would place him into situations that could have proved dangerous for himself and others.

“Taylor’s suit alleged that police erred in putting Stockley, a combat veteran, on the street after the Army discharged him for post-traumatic stress disorder.”

It saddens me that we have become so corrupt & evil in society like in Noah’s day. My family thinks I am a quack with all the medical talk about Lyme. They thought I was a quack when I supported then-candidate Trump, and I enjoy rubbing it in now. But all joking aside, I am thankful for the CTH where there are others like me who want to know the truth. And amid our health struggles, I am thankful for the blessings from God for my husband, children and His hope & promises.

I came down with a tick born disease 4 years ago. It was from Kentucky. Within 3 days I had a small reddish bullseye around the bite. I went to my doctor (I live in Missouri) and he said of course there is no Lyme this far west. He said there are other tick diseases that can give a bullseye pattern. He did treat me with the same antibiotics as they give for Lyme and 4 months of steroids to combat the almost continuous upper respiratory infections I was having. My joints hurt for 18 months later. Lyme disease can mimic ANY medical disorder, even mental illness. Lou Gehrig’s disease, breast cancer. Alzheimer’s etc. And the worst part of it, doctors erroneously diagnose these ailments and go as far as doing surgery on their patients. Lyme disease is the most important illness to be pro-active about because many doctors are in denial that it is the cause of so many illnesses.

My pastor’s middle son has had Lyme, POTS, Bartonella (I think), & other associated conditions & the best treatment they ended up finding was through a vet. They lived in Africa at the time the son got sick & he had a history of some diseases that are basically unknown to Western medicine, & they have had Major Hassles trying to get proper diagnosis & treatment. It’s been about a decade that this family has now lived state-side & the afflicted son is doing pretty well, but when they arrived he could barely walk or sit up (after having been a fully active kid) due to side effects, etc.

1)Seeming clueless, during an interview with ABC News’s Diane Sawyer, that 12 men who allegedly had been planning a terrorist attack were arrested in London. Nancy Graham actually in committee questioned Clapper’s level of intelligence (no pun) and asked for his resignation.

    2) Mubarak was falling in Egypt, describing the country’s Muslim Brotherhood as “largely secular.”

    3) 2011, testifying , Senate Armed Services Committee, that the biggest threats to America are Russia and China. At the timeChairman Carl Levin (D-Mich.) begged to differ, suggesting that Iran and North Korea are bigger threats.

    4) Andrea Mitchell: “Senator Wyden made quite a lot out of your exchange with him last March during the hearings. Can you explain what you meant when you said there was not data collection on millions of Americans?”

Clapper: “First, as I said, I have great respect for Senator Wyden. I thought though in retrospect I was asked when are you going to start–stop beating your wife kind of question which is, meaning not answerable necessarily, by a simple yes or no. So I responded in what I thought was the most truthful or least most untruthful manner, by saying, `No.’ And again, going back to my metaphor, what I was thinking of is looking at the Dewey Decimal numbers of those books in the metaphorical library. To me collection of U.S. Persons data would mean taking the books off the shelf, opening it up and reading it.”

Question; When will PTrump get rid of the Globoscum in his admin. His cabinet picks have been disastrous. I have been dismayed by some of his choices. I think he’s tried an appeasement aproach the Globo folks to try to persuade them on his nationalist agenda…BIG MISTAKE!

      Hello friends,
Last week I asked for prayer going into a procedure to look at blocked subclavian arteries. Thank you all for prayer.
Monday discovered that I will be needing bypass surgery for the right subclavian, which is completely blocked.
Please pray that in the Lord’s timing this will be scheduled, and successful.
      Thanks to you all.
Many people have helped me in many ways, and I have learned an attitude of dependence, which I believe the Lord would have me learn.
In the meantime I remain very weak, so am forever grateful for all the help and prayers I have received.
      God bless you all

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen

Gas explosion at a school near Minneapolis (Minnehaha Academy); praying for the families involved.
While reading the news about this explosion, I noticed a comment from someone who is apparently a gas worker. The gas worker linked to old news about an explosion that occurred in December 2004. The problem was gas fittings. Infrastructure problem:
    http://news.minnesota.publicradio.org/features/2005/04/27_ap_gas/
“St. Paul, Minn. — (AP) A natural gas explosion that killed three people last December was due to a metal pipe connector that failed because it was not designed for use on plastic pipe, state officials said Wednesday….The Dec. 28 explosion in the Anoka County community of Ramsey destroyed an office building that housed Riverview Community Bank….The natural gas escaped from the failed fitting into the ground, which filtered out the foul odor before the invisible gas seeped into the office building, officials said. The fitting was buried about 40 feet from the building…”

For any fellow Treepers who like to sew. Vogue pattern company has, in its new fall collection, a pattern which is a duplicate of the dress and cover that First Lady Melania Trump wore at the Inauguration. Here is a link to it for any fellow sewists.

    LISTEN UP!!

For the information of Facebook users:

There is a group called Conservative Treehouse, and they don’t outright claim to be affiliated with CTH, but they don’t correct anyone who makes that assumption, and until an hour or so ago, they were linking to the CTH website, as if they are affiliated.

My guess is that they are monetizing the site, or will. I contacted them by messenger, and they are real smart asses.
