Protecting Deep State: Republicans and Democrats Refuse To Review Oversight Intelligence…

Following up on THIS EXPLAINER.

♦ Obviously Chairman Devin Nunes has placed himself outside the rails of Deep State.  ♦ The UniParty now wants him removed.  ♦ Nunes has become a risk.  ♦ Brutally obvious questions being ignored by media become focus of wider electorate.

2017 Congressional Intelligence Oversight “Gang of Eight”

Chairman Nunes is the only member of the Intelligence Oversight Gang-of-Eight who has reviewed the executive level intelligence product which caused him concern.  Nunes alleged in the last week he received evidence that Obama administration political figures gained access to unmasked American identities through foreign intercepts involving the Trump transition team between November 2016 and January 2017.

Media and congressional leadership intentionally skip the obvious questions:

♦ Why don’t the other seven members also go look at the same executive intel?

• Why, instead of looking at the same data, does the entire UniParty political apparatus and DC media now seem intent on eliminating Devin Nunes?

• Why doesn’t Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer or Mark Warner simply go look at the same executive intelligence product?

• Why doesn’t Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell or Richard Burr simply go look at the same executive intelligence product?

• Why doesn’t any member of the DC media ask such brutally obvious questions?

• Why is the DC UniParty both intent on not looking at the intelligence and simultaneously intent on removing Nunes, and getting the investigation removed from the House Intelligence Committee (Nunes/Schiff) and over to the Senate Intelligence Committee (Burr/Warner)?

• What is it about that Executive Office Level Intelligence Product the gang-of-eight are all so desperately afraid of?

• Why would the Senate launch another entire congressional intelligence inquiry, when the head of the Senate Intelligence Committees, Burr and Warner, are desperate NOT to see the intelligence product that causes Nunes such concern?

• What does that say about the intent of a committee when they refuse to even look at the intelligence reports they are supposed to be investigating?

These are all simple questions that hang above the political chaff and countermeasures.

These are also simply questions that explain why President Trump made this simple request:

Notice how in the three months since that request was made by President-Elect Donald Trump, only one member of congress has actually done what was requested.  That member is Devin Nunes.

Now look at what’s happening around Devin Nunes.

The brutally obvious reality behind these simple questions highlights something much more than the simple SWAMP.  The reactive behavior is not confined to current DC politicians or the media surrounding DC.

What we see now, is a response by multiple elements more aptly called “Deep State“.

Carly Fiorina, a former member of the CIA advisory board, calling for an independent commission seems rather odd when you accept the reality that current congressional oversight officials are refusing to even look at the current intelligence.

Odd, that is, until you realize such a request is a way for a Deeper State to protect itself.

Devin Nunes is the only official who has viewed the intelligence, therefore Devin Nunes is now a risk – he must be removed.  Similarly, the committee which Devin Nunes chairs is also a risk; because if Nunes is successful his committee will not be able to look away from the intelligence product(s) he puts in front of them.

Effective this week, the UniParty has deployed Senator Richard Burr and Senator Mark Warner as countermeasures. –EXPLAINER HERE

Richard Burr needs to play the role formerly occupied by: Darryl Issa, Jason Chaffetz and Trey Gowdy:

The countermeasure or controlled opposition role was originally assigned to Chairman Devin Nunes.

Unfortunately Mr. Nunes did not comply with his role, he took a greater loyalty to the presidency, and to his oath-of-office, than to the UniParty/deep-state, and thus Nunes must be removed in favor of Senator Burr.

Senator Richard Burr will now play the role of political countermeasures.

Nothing more.

Once you see the strings on the Marionettes, it’s impossible to go back to a time when you couldn’t see them.

I only have one answer to all the questions posted by SD in his post.

I’ve come to the conclusion that our constitutional system has failed. Somewhere along the way very powerful individuals and small groups of people learned how to game it, and the politicians are all too happy to play along. Those are the people that control our lives. And, they DON’T want to give it back to us. There are no check and balances anymore, that’s all gone. Politicians are not afraid to do us wrong. they are not afraid of we the people, they are more afraid of whoever controls them.

WE, not anyone else, have to go back and figure out what went wrong, where the loopholes are, and close them. We have to fix this and do it now while Trump is in power, or we will lose it forever.

We must bombard their offices with phone calls and tell them that we will not accept a WHITEWASH of this. Independent Prosecutor? That’s always used when they get into deep trouble and need a “Fixer.” Don’t let it happen.

I will be calling all of their offices tomorrow. We must put the pressure on.

      • It’s gonna take more than that. A LOT more than that.
This goes for everyone else reading this. If you are not willing to organize a hundred thousand of your closest friends and take to the streets in protest, they don’t care.
The Uniparty knows you won’t, and they also know that you know you won’t.
Fact is, the Uniparty knows that they can do what they want, because nobody will stop them.
The left can get that many people out on the streets in less than 12 hours notice.
Things are beyond phone calls to the office, or emails to same, or letters to the editor, it is going to take massive crowds on the streets, for weeks on end.
Or else watch your country slip away into the totalitarian despotism you can feel coming but won’t admit to.

I have called and email endlessly! The matter of fact is that they just don’t care what we say or think, they don’t even pretend to. The staffers that answer the phone are bored and give a canned response to each and every question. I will say what I have said here since President Trump won the election, declare martial law, arrest corrupt, compromised lawmakers, and start over! I trust Trump to lead the revolution! If he doesn’t do that, they will frame Trump, or kill him and their globalist bitches, Pence and Ryan will be in charge. The media should also be arrested for collusion and sedition. There is a reason Maxine Waters screams the things she does at every opportunity- she knows what’s coming if Trump doesn’t go nuclear.

I worked in a small town police department in Mississippi way back in time. A person just starting out there with hopes to do the right thing was doomed to fail. You either get like the rest of the crew or you were blackballed. A city administrator once asked me what it would take to correct the problems in our department. I told her she would have to fire everyone there and start from scratch. There was no converting them. The same thing will have to take place with our Congress.
The only way we are going to take our country back is to physically do it. And there lies another problem, no one can organize it.

You can’t clean out the depth of this swamp playing by the rules. I, and others have now often stated – it is going to take a hot war by the people if you want to fix this.

These people who want to take our nation and freedom away from us apparently do not fear God who separated the world into nations. It is His will. Following verses may be applicable:
Psalm 56 – 22 & 23 “Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain you. He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. But thou, O God shall bring them down to the pit (grave) of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in the Thee”. Decree it. ” God’s word is sharper then a two edged sword.” Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. ” Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

So what is the “fix”? If President Trump decides to exercise his version of a nuclear option, Maybe tweeting that no one in Washington is trustworthy, and unleashes Jeff Sessions, he will need to have a fully on board military on Capitol hill. After all, who will investigate their own treasonous activities? I’d like to see a gallows constructed that is at least 535 trap doors long. The coup is still thriving. The players are clearly our enemies. But I grow impatient. The President, who is waaay smarter than me, seems content on letting them dig their own demises, And allowing anyone with an ounce of patriotism an ‘out’, i.e. Devin Nunes.
Thanks to our “principled” friends, Trumps’ plan to defeat O scare with the votes we had and complete the full repeal in 2018 when we elected more conservative votes has been derailed.
I believe that was his plan because I can’t think of anyone else on the planet that wants healthcare government free and in the hands of a competitive, healthy free market.

Healthcare and insurance Industries have never been a free and competitive market places. The health care and insurance industry have and are continuing to rape citizens of their assets by colluding with one another to form a dual monopoly on the backs of sick people. They have colluded to raise the cost of healthcare to the point that if you want to know what something costs before you do it they will not tell you, and they have colluded with insurance to set the price and pay the rates agreed to as long as you have this monopoly we will all die broke. Except for quick fast deaths, but then that is calculated into the actuarial isn’t it.
We need to take out the middleman, the insurance industry. If that does not happen we still bear the burden of the colluding monopolies!

I posted this last November but if you don’t remember:

Senator Burr was facing a tight race here in NC. I emailed his office and asked to know his position on candidate Trump. I let the senator know that if he pledged to support DJT 100% I would vote for him as senator, but if not I would not vote for him.

Two days later I received a CALL from his office saying that Senator Burr did in fact support DJT and would stand behind him if DJT won the presidency.

    Typical re-election lies, I see.

I do believe it is time to make a call to the Senator.

If something hasn’t been done to these criminals by the Trump administration soon then there will be a day of the rope and it will not be nice or polite. Their party affiliation will not matter as the only thing that will matter is did they break the law and violate the Constitution of the United States? By not doing anything to uphold the laws then this is a clear signal by this administration that the law no longer matters. At that point in time, people will take the law into their own hands. It will be a brutal affair for those that are obvious criminals no matter their position inside and outside the government. You can only abuse a dog for so long before it turns and kills you.

This is an observation not a threat or a warning.

In America, there are four boxes. The first is the soap box followed by the jury box. The third is the ballot box and the final one is at the bullet box. The first two have been legislated into oblivion and the third is becoming clear to have zero effect. This leaves the final box and the government employees will not like it.

      • I’m wondering, like most folks that voted for Pres. Trump, why isn’t he fulfilling his major plank of being the law and order candidate. We have the evidence on Hillary’s violation of the law. We have these state and local politicians violating immigration law through obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting criminal aliens. We have Comey and so many federal government officials violating the Constitution and federal law that is treasonous. We were promised that these people would be locked up and justice served. Yet, we’re given a daily dose of justice denied. Justice denied is not justice.

At some point cold anger turns to hot anger. When that happens it won’t be sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns because the people will take matters into their own hands to see justice served. The targets of that justice will be the criminals inside the government and those that benefit the most from it like the wealthy who can spend a million dollars a pop for preferential treatment under the law. There will not be any protection for them from the people whom all political power is derived. These individuals will be swinging from their necks or other methods to fulfill this desire to have justice served upon these criminals.

Once that is finished the people will decide for new protections to prevent this from happening in the future.

        • paper doll says:

I saw this quick exchange on Fox this morning w/ Nunes.. found interesting especially at the end when he tells them to go follow them and find out .. (basically)

Fox News had a brief interview with Nunes outside his Capitol Hill office. “As far as I know they’ve done very little to even look through the documents that the intelligence agencies have provided,” Nunes said. He added, “At the end of the day here, we’re going to get to the truth and we’re going to find out who’s actually doing a real investigation. And you’ll find out that we are very much doing an investigation and have been for a long time.”

Asked about conflict with the House Intelligence Committee’s ranking member Adam Schiff, Nunes said, “We’re always concerned about this and we always want to keep the committee bipartisan but at the end of the day we’re going to do an investigation with or without them.” He continued, “If they want to participate that’s fine, but the facts of the matter are pretty clear that they have no…we don’t even know who their witnesses [are] that they want to call.” Nunes concluded saying to the Fox News reporter, “I would encourage you guys to go and start to follow them around and figure out who they want to bring in and interview.”

It is not what to look for but timelines, individuals and BOTH ends of the conversation. This has scared all members of the committee. Mr Nunes has seen the documents and what he saw that was in the documents were the WHO ALONG WITH TIMELINES. Now, who would be afraid of loosing their job? President Trump is NOT only protecting us BUT he is also protecting this nation. As I said in another post on this site…A.G. Sessions is in place, that just leaves Gorsuch on SC. He needs to be in place before the unmasking takes place because there will be a howling like anyone has seen before. Please bide your time and don’t get caught up in the scripting of WHAT you see but what you DON’T see. President Trump KNEW what he was getting into…he invited the SENATORS to a dinner last night. This is the Easter Season. What did Christ do at the Passover Evening Meal. “One of you tonight will betray me tonight with a kiss.”….Trump KNOWS who and what…You Treepers are a Rambunctious Bunch, BUT you seek Truth and Justice…We all do.

I’d ask anyone here in the Treehouse, can you recall one time over these last several years of serious Investigations (this does not include fake Russia), Benghazi, IRS, Fast – Furious, Iran, Hillary server, Libya, Syria red lines, etc where ANY Democrat asked an in-depth probing question? I have watched many of these fiascos online and the liberals on the panels NEVER ask a detailed, informative question. As an IC guy, it makes me furious that they continually place politics above country, above illegality…think Schiff, Cummings, James Brown wannabe, etc have never sought the truth where Democrats are involved.

Now the republicans are not going to get off the hook here either because I also cannot recall one arrest that came from any of these investigations. I know, I know, Congress can only recommend but still…NOTHING.

Great article and great comnents, as usual. PreApologize for the length.

Let me go out on a limb and show my true colors.

We have allowed our “betters” to use closed door sessions, classified information and national security as a cover for criminal activity, at best and treason at worst.

It’s high time the whole system which is not constitutionally supported gets blown wide open.

When procedures and rules trump truth, we have a problem. When criminals are able yo hide behind national security, there is a problem.

At this rate, this information will never see the light of day. They dont want us to know, obviously. Two options.

Get the information to a whistleblower, pronto, preferably wiki as his record is impeccable .

Nuclear option? Yes. Go on national television with documents, name names and unleash the dogs of hell.

I’m very serious and believe door number 2 is the most viable option.

Otherwise this administration will be crippled under the weight of this stuff…and the USA will fall into the abyss. Imho

Remember in these environments there is a lot of counter-intel going on by people you believe are assisting you and helping you “get to the truth” but end up wasting your time and energy – think of all of the past investigations where there was positive proof of felonies and or actual deaths (F&F – Benghazi) and no one has rec’d a 30 to life prison sentence or even a slap on the wrist. Instead we get YouTube videos blamed or gun dealers in Phoenix…

In short, these are distractions, the purpose of which is to keep the committee members willfully ignorant (as SD said, so they can continue to attack Nunes) and so they can find out whom to crucify (i.e., the whistleblower)!!!

So even though the info is “nothing,” because of classification, the exact info can’t be put out there. Pure evil.

Windy Day…attacking the source is an old intel trick and used as a distraction. Whenever an upper chain of command does not like what he has just been told by his intelligence analysts because of various reasons, i.e. politically too hot, it goes against the CDR’s PIR’s, etc then he attacks the source as not credible.

I have seen multiple times that sources who have had a great track record (I won’t say how we rate them) but the CDR or GEN has wanted to go back and re-review his source reporting so that he can discredit that source. Typically if a source is rated at a certain level then his reporting carries a significant amount of weight. Thus attack the source, discredit him, and you can throw the report away…the famous lines of “we found out that the source was not credible after further review” Emphasis on the word FURTHER, meaning we didn’t like it originally so we FURTHER reviewed his reporting and “found” holes (or more like created them).

If reporters can go to jail to protect a source, I think Nunes can protect one without fear of jail.

But if all the above is true, he needs to defend himself by stating it in a publicly acceptable way, not clam up.

I have questions re Nunes as the others. Why doesn’t he just tell reporters/in interviews on Fox that they can go look for themselves? Inform the public they can do that.. Also I still wonder about Klayman’s letter that he said he sent – unless he didn’t get it? He’s saying that he’s getting no response.
If he did get it, why is he just saying what he’s seen is legal? Everything is quite “foggy” by design I’m sure.
Unless he handed it to him himself, one can’t guarantee he received it – even if required to sign for it since that could be fraudulent and/or not even opened for that “plausible deniability” game as SD was describing. They know who Larry Klayman is and what he’s been investigating I would think.
But who knows. All I know is something needs to break on all this in the very near future. The longer it goes on, the more harm it does.

      Nunes is doing everything perfectly.

Go back and read Sundance’s comments up thread and the articles related to Nunes for the last 24 hours. And make your way down through all those threads and read his comments on them also.

All these comments from people who don’t understand relate to them not reading the articles and Sundance’s comments in the thread.

This is the beginning of months of opera, Deep State runs it.
We’ve been through these before, many times.
JFK, Watergate, Church/CIA, Iran-Contra, Clinton Impeachment, 9-11, Benghazi.

The guilty always go free. Some minor role players get burnt. Mysterious deaths happen.
Deep State keeps a lid over themselves.

      Will this be different?

4-1 odds that nothing changes. Trump is too enmeshed in “outsider” weakness, too many moving parts for Deep State to use against him.

In a flick of a switch, they can turn Syria-Lebanon into a huge war.
      Or Ukraine.
      Or North Korea.

And Trump won’t have a say in any of it.

Why have I not seen this discussed on CTH? Have you not seen it? Or do you not credit it as a reason that Nunes is acting as he does?

“Key to this investigation is a whistleblower by name of Dennis Montgomery, who as a former National Security Agency (NSA) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) contractor left the spy agencies with 47 hard drives and over 600 million pages of information, much of which was classified, and came forward, under grant of immunity, to FBI Director James Comey. This information, according to Montgomery, shows that the intelligence agencies, particularly under former Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former Obama CIA Director John Brennan and their minions, spied illegally and unconstitutionally on prominent Americans, including the chief justice of the Supreme Court, other SCOTUS justices, 156 judges, prominent businessmen like Donald Trump and even yours truly. Indeed, in addition to the mass surveillance revealed by Edward Snowden, these spy agencies, during the Obama administration, spied on “anyone who was anyone” in terms of their perceived status in society. The presumed and logical likely purpose of this spying? The potential for extortion and blackmail by the Obama administration.”

Excellent article on the illegal leaking by the Oama WH

How Obama’s White House weaponized media against Trump

    (An excerpt:)

I strongly suspect that someone in the Obama White House blew a hole in the thin wall that prevents the government from using information collected from surveillance to destroy the lives of the citizens whose privacy it is pledged to protect.

The leaking of Flynn’s name was part of what can only be described as a White House campaign to hype the Russian threat and, at the same time, to depict Trump as Vladimir Putin’s Manchurian candidate. On Dec. 29, Obama announced sanctions against Russia as retribution for its hacking activities. From that date until Trump’s inauguration, the White House aggressively pumped into the media two streams of information: one about Russian hacking; the other about Trump’s Russia connection. In the hands of sympathetic reporters, the two streams blended into one.

A report that appeared the day after Obama announced the sanctions shows how. On Dec. 30, the Washington Post reported on a Russian effort to penetrate the electricity grid by hacking into a Vermont utility, Burlington Electric Department. After noting the breach, the reporters offered a senior administration official to speculate on the Russians’ motives. Did they seek to crash the system, or just to probe it?

This infrastructure hack, the story continued, was part of a broader hacking campaign that included intervention in the election. The story then moved to Trump: “He…has spoken highly of Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite President Obama’s suggestion that the approval for hacking came from the highest levels of the Kremlin.”

The national media mimicked the Post’s reporting. But there was a problem: the hack never happened. It was a false alarm — triggered, it eventually became clear, by Obama’s hype.

Read the entire piece. It provides a great timeline of specific leaks and confirms everything TCTH posts.
