Sunday January 22nd – Open Thread

Tomb of the Unknown ChristmasOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

I’ve tried over and over to see this image CNN tampered with, but it doesn’t work for me to click HERE, here. Really isn’t important if you’d watched everything on t.v. as we did, and kept saying “Look at how many people are there!!” over and over! No argument!! I’d watched snippets of other inaugurations to compare this to in the past, but this one was wild! Don’t know how any more could ever have been squeezed in anywhere! I wanted the crowds to be monitored and very controlled for security, which I think they were!

This elegant Sarabande by J.S. Bach is a good example of how a relatively uncomplicated melody will nonetheless reveal the genius of Bach’s sense of form and content. This is baroque lyricism at its best.

Garrison, you never fail to amaze me. This is beautiful.

I remember playing Bach inventions on Harpsichord (white minors, black majors) growing up. Once I was comfortable with them, I started to realize how music is so intertwined with math.

    • Bach did not write for guitar, or piano, as those instruments didn’t exist in the forms we are familiar with during his lifetime. The composition is beautiful, which is why people write new arrangements for other instruments, but it does produce a different emotional expression when played in the original version. (Probably the difference between a “bowed” vs. a “plucked” melody.)

My first encounter with this was in the 1980’s. I rejected it then as I do now. There are any number of reasons, some of which are indicated by the flawed thinking revealed in the article.

However, for me, it is simply a case that what we know of God the Father is revealed through God the Son through the power of God the Holy Spirit. This spirit is love. To change the language of this is paramount to changing fundamental doctrine and dogma of Christianity.

Our new neighbor, who is a Reverend, has a doctorate in theology and has said everyone who voted for Donald Trump is going to hell also writes that God, “and godself” blah blah blah. Instead of God and Himself as God — or god and herself like the feminist freaks proclaim — it is God and “godself” so you do not need to assign sexuality to their creator.

I must warn you as charity demands.

Roncalli Montini Luciani Wojtyla Ratzinger Bergoglio are to “Pope” as Bush Clinton Bush Obama are to “President of the US”. In an unbroken chain of coherent interlinking actions they attacked and are attacking the Deposit of Faith, just as the others attacked the Constitution. Our Blessed Lord and Saviour admonished the Disciples “By their fruits you will know them”, and underlined this by repeating it to them as he finished speaking.

Johannes Dormann documented Wojtyla’s subversion of the true Catholic faith in his study “Pope John Paul II’s Theological Journal to the Prayer Meeting of Religions in Assisi” .

The communists use a lot of phrases like “freedom”, “democracy”, etc. to try to claim moral ground, but the words mean the opposite of what one would think. Likewise Ratzinger when he says “waves of fashion and novelties”.

    Stories for Noah

Busy weekend, your grandmother is in Georgia celebrating your first birthday and a new President was inaugurated. Two quick stories.

The first time I ever voted for a President was in 1976 primaries in New Jersey. I had to declare a party. GOP was Reagan or Ford, Democratic was Carter or Jerry Brown. I was okay with both GOP choices and I despised Carter. So I voted for the strangest Moonbeam Brown. This shows that your mind is not fully developed at eighteen.

When your dad was born it was a long day. Your grandmother had a drug free birth. The contraction thing was some kind of pain I had never seen. Very strange facial expressions. Your grandmother called me to the hospital bed to tell me something when a contraction hit. She grabbed the closest thing she could. It was my reproductive parts. For the next 30 seconds we were both screaming in pain. I didn’t know if it was a message that she blamed me and my parts for this situation or a thank you. I learned to watch the monitor and back away when the line started spiking. Your uncle’s birth is a story for another day. Happy first birthday.

    http://politikus.ru/articles/89560-razyarennyy-kot-i-vzbesivshiesya-myshi.html

    Here’s a translation via Yandex.

The best part is the last two paragraphs.

“Those who have read my previous article must remember that it was called “the impending trumpets and a horrified mouse”. Two days have passed since its writing, the situation has changed. Donald trump, who was elected to the US presidency on 8 November, took office, and those whom I call mice, – the representatives of the Western system of elite – completely infuriated.

And now it is clear that they hoped, if not to the evaporation of the tramp until the time of his arrival in the White House, at least that he heed their numerous warnings, threats and tantrums. Remember how often in the last two months talking to various politicians, political experts and analysts trump will be forced to obey the system, he can not and will not want to go against her. Could. Wanted to. And not even watched. And I must say that his behavior in the first days after the inauguration like offensive on all fronts.

So, what was done? 1. Signed a decree on the withdrawal of the U.S. from the TRANS-Pacific partnership. 2. Signed a decree on partial cancellation of the beloved brainchild of the Obama – health insurance (Obamacare). 3. The removal of the Internet portal White House page on the protection of the rights of sexual minorities. 4. Replacement in the presidential office of a bust of Martin Luther king, a bust of Prime Minister Winston Churchill. 5. The statement made by trump at this time through the mouth of his press Secretary about what unscrupulous media will be held accountable for what they have done (presumably as during the election campaign and in the period between its completion and inauguration of the elected President).

As they say in such cases Jon, but… really! Direct operation “Bagration” in the American field – the diverging number of strikes on the most painful places of the enemy. The signing of the decree on “TRANS-Pacific”? – A blow to the idea of global trade. Repeal Obamacare – a blow to the legacy of Barack Obama. Removal from the portal of the White House of some pages – no comment.

A statement on the media – all too clear. In my opinion, a very interesting change of busts in the presidential office, there is no question about what were the reasons for the tramp, removing the image of Martin Luther king, but why the choice as a replacement fell on Churchill? Is it because this “friend” was able to negotiate with those whom he hated with a perfect hatred, if required? Or because I really wanted to put a bust of another, much more similar to the USA leader – Franklin Delano Roosevelt, but he belonged to the camp of the Democrats? Or is the signal the main ally of US – UK: come together, create the Anglo-Saxon world, dismissing the silly, from the point of view of trump, the idea of creating a Euro-soyuzovskie the ark?

But, anyway, the following picture emerges: ascending to the throne in the White House, trump immediately went on the offensive. Mouse, realizing that their last hope is to intimidate the 45th President, to put it in the stall – crashed, have lost all remnants of common sense, and burst into heart-rending squeal in the form of numerous anti-trompowsky demonstrations, threatening statements and other things.

So far we can say only one thing: if all this didn’t scare trump still, you do not scare now. But what can you do mouse, regrouped and rallied their very disparate at the moment the ranks, let’s continue… And, as they say, that awkward moment when you don’t know, what do you want to red cat trump finally dispersed the mice in the corners, Peredovik a considerable part of them, or between them began a war for life and death, and not in the cold and hot stage. West deserved it!

Hundred of thousands of young men and women around the world “follow their dream” though they have far fewer opportunities than Barack Obama had with his comfortable lifestyle provided by his grandparents. He could easily have become a great sportsman if he’d had any talent.

The following is the definition for a personality disorder called narcissism: This type is characterized by an inflated view of self-worth (called grandiosity). People with this disorder expect to be treated with deference and may exploit others because they think their superiority justifies it. Their relationships are characterized by a need for admiration, and they often think that others are jealous of or envy them. These people are sensitive to the reactions of others but only as far as the reactions relate to themselves. They are extremely sensitive to failure, defeat, and negative reactions from others, including criticism.

It certainly fits Barack Hussein Obama to a T.
