Malkin lost any respect I had for her when she campaigned against Trump and bought into the whole Ted Cruz mythology. At this point, as far as I’m concerned, people like her and her buddy Mark Levin can just sit down, be quiet, and watch Trump do a great job while he’s in office. During that time they can SLOWLY re-earn their right to speak, but right now I consider them no better than any member of the GOPe.

What a loser. I have never been so glad that I moved out of NJ. First, that criminal Menendez going after Rex Tillerson and then this moron going after Jeff Sessions. Booker just gave the usual blah-blah-blah but no specifics. He really looked stupid after he brought up how Jeff Sessions helped him get the medals for the people in the Selma march.

Cory Booker said he lived in crime ridden neighborhoods, like Newark, where he was mayor. Everyone in NJ knows that Booker never lived in Newark and probably doesn’t even live in NJ. Once a fraud, always a fraud.

Former Senior Judiciary Staffer Dismantles Anti-Sessions Arguments –

The former chief council for the Senate Judiciary Committee, William Smith, (who happens to be black) discounted a number of Democratic attacks against Sen. Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.) during the Alabama lawmaker’s confirmation hearing for attorney general on Wednesday.

Throughout his testimony, Smith vehemently disagreed with attacks on Sessions’ character.

“We have seen people who have never met Sen. Sessions claim to know him and know his heart. We have seen members of this body and members of the House of Representatives just now, who have worked with Sen. Sessions and praised him for his work, and now turn to attack him,” Smith said in a clear nod to Sen. Cory Booker, who testified minutes earlier before the Senate Judiciary Committee to oppose Sessions’ nomination.

“This should not be. The reason we did not see a lot of this yesterday during the hearing is because the members of this committee know Sen. Sessions,” Smith continued.

Smith then described how Sessions has defended minority communities during his legal career.

“He fought for sentencing reform, and not only did he fight for it; he accomplished it,” Smith said. “He fought for civil rights. He prosecuted members of the Ku Klux Klan, and most importantly, he has fought for the liberty of all Americans, regardless of the color of their skin or their personal beliefs.”

While concluding his testimony, Smith went as far as to say that Sessions’ opponents have no proof of him being racist because such proof “does not exist.”

“After twenty years of knowing Sen. Sessions, I have not seen the slightest evidence of racism because it does not exist. I know a racist when I see one, and I’ve seen more than one, but Jeff Sessions is not one,” Smith said

Jemu Green was just allowed to tell a big lie on Jeff Sessions. Yesterday he was berated about a sitting prez being charged with sexual assault (reference made to the Bush tape in which PEOTUS said “you can grab them by the p*$$y”) and was asked if they are grabbed by the genitals is that sexual assualt. Sessions answered yes and Jemu Green just said he said no. BTW, what Trump actually said was “they allow you to do anything…you can grab…etc” but everyone always forgets the qualifying statement that, in fact, does not make what he claimed he could do, sexual assault. So sick of the lying left!

Everyone in the TRUMP Administration better be very good at dealing with a-holes, because there is, right now, such a parade of them as to be almost unbelievable.
If these folks are University graduates, some lawyers, it gives us a little window as to how much THAT means.
AND they are accumulating “experience” which, what, makes them superior to the actual real-life people TRUMP has nominated?
There is no comparison: TRUMPfolk are Giants amonst pygmies.
These questioners do much to clarify just how limited their fields of interest are.
        Political cartoon I saw today:
        “Questioners” sitting in a row, looking at nominee;
Nominee: “Well, Senator, I would argue that this is the most diverse cabinet of white billionaire/millionaire male banker-industrialists over 65 that the Nation has EVER produced.”
Their questions are SO good at exposing the pathetic priorities held by these congress-critters.
We are SO due for a breath of fresh air!

I get that completely (what you and Freddy5678 are saying).

What I am saying is that the comparison of a sovereign nation, Germany at the time being divided by occupying communist Russia to the US/Mexico, is not logical. Does Melendez think that the US and Mexico are one nation?

It is not a logical comparison.

        Liked by 1 person

        • It is doubtful that Melendez knows the history behind his remarks. His assistant probably wrote his comments and he’s just reading them from a piece of paper.

That’s how stupid, lazy, and corrupt this D.C. bunch is.

It will be a daily shock for them to witness Trump’s team working hard for America. Lobbyists and special interest group leaders have been writing legislation…while the “electeds” day trade, work out, and pose for the press with their insipient words.

          Liked by 2 people

        • My apologies Joe, but you’re absolutely right, it’s not logical!

I also think it is likely just a poor and ill-advised attempt to somehow connect the border wall with the Russia vs. US narrative. Obviously facts, history and personal experience have no place in their arguments, so all that’s left is political nonsense disguised as reasoned thought. I mean these people (Booker in particular) are saying Jeff Sessions is a threat to civil rights even though these same people have previously raved about what an “honor” it was to work with Jeff Sessions on civil rights.

Perhaps the real issue here is that we are still assuming Democrats are capable of logical thought. Personally, I’m not seeing much evidence of that ability in these hearings. Sad!

Justice poised to announce Chicago police probe findings Friday
      http://chicago.suntimes.com/politics/justice-poised-to-announce-chicago-police-probe-findings-friday/

Sources told the Sun-Times it is highly unlikely the probe will conclude with a signed-and-completed consent decree outlining mandated changes in police practices.

What is on the table, given the time constraints, is a deal for the city and Justice Department to sign an “agreement in principle.”

An “agreement in principle” lays the legal foundation for Justice Department officials to go to court to hammer out a consent decree after Obama leaves office.

The sense of urgency was heightened last week after Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., emerged from a meeting with Attorney General-designee Sen. Jeff Sessions R-Ala., saying Sessions would not promise to follow through on any suggestions the Justice Department makes to address police misconduct in Chicago.

If Trump addresses this PeeGate fake news flap directly, I hope he says something like this:

“It’s a disgrace that the media would run with a totally unverified hoax that puts both my presidency, The presidency of Barack Obama and the office of president in a false disgusting light.”

Since Obama is the one who is getting peed on, symbolically speaking, it makes him look worse than Trump even. And by defending not only himself, but Obama too, he is in the role of defending the office of the presidency from nasty hoaxes and smears. And he is defending Obama’s honer too. It makes him look magnanimous, honorable and generous..

It should take the wind right out of this. Yikes, Why do we even have to think of such odd things like friggen golden showers. Who wants to even have to think about such things. But as part of Trump’s army, I guess we have to.

TRUMP TAPS ROBERT F. KENNEDY, JR. TO HEAD NEW COMMISSION ON VACCINE SAFETY AND SCIENTIFIC INTEGRITY
    http://www.infowars.com/trump-taps-robert-f-kennedy-jr-to-head-new-commission-on-vaccine-safety-and-scientific-integrity/

“I think we need to begin that process by making sure that the vaccines are safe, they are efficacious and have a regulatory agency which recommends vaccines to the schedule, monitors them, has integrity and credibility. And unfortunately that is not the case at the moment.”

With the CDC’s integrity already on the ropes from years of misconduct, Kennedy pushed forward for the first round knockout in Vermont:

“The CDC is a troubled agency. There have been four separate scathing Federal studies about the CDC. I’m not talking about the whole agency; I’m talking about the vaccine division. One by the United States Senate; a three year study, one by the House, another by HHS by the Inspector General and a study this year by The Office of Research and Integrity. And all of together and separately paint a picture of an agency that has become a cesspool of corruption.”

—Draining the Pharma power and stealing from us all.

Also during the press conference PE Trump mentioned
Trump says pharma ‘getting away with murder’
    http://www.breitbart.com/news/trump-says-pharma-getting-away-with-murder/

President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday attacked the pharmaceutical industry for high drug prices and for manufacturing overseas, saying he will create new procedures for bidding on drugs.

The industry is “getting away with murder,” Trump said in his first press conference since he was elected, sending pharma stocks plunging.

“Pharma. Pharma has a lot of lobbies, a lot of lobbyists, a lot of power,” he said, making the industry the latest target of his frequent attacks on business since the November election which have included the auto and aerospace industries.

Trump said pharmaceutical companies will be coming back to the United States from overseas.

“Our drug industry has been disastrous. They’re leaving left and right. They supply our drugs but they don’t make them here, to a large extent,” Trump said.

To address high prices, “the other thing we have to do is create new bidding procedures for the drug industry,” he said.

    — and within seconds after that the health sector stocks dropped over 1% and just yesterday many Wall Street analysts were bullish on buying into the biotech and pharma stocks..

PS. I am guessing Ivanka Trump maybe had a mention on this topic to her Dad with her children being affected and she is for better health initiatives and also women issues is her consul to her Dad. He husband gets the entire Middle East to deal with.

A fascist is a believer in the government regulating business to the extent that it essentially is run by the government…as opposed to a constitutional republic with a capitalist system run for profit and with as little governmental regulation as possible. Kennedy is a believer in big government–the bigger and more regulating the better.

I have been writing on this subject to transition. I don’t know if they read what you write, but big Pharma is arm in arm with big Medical Corporations that have bought up practice after practice, hospital after hospital, basically having formed a quasi monopoly with the aid and input of the big Insurance companies. This situation was warned about decades ago in a book called “The Medical Industrial Complex.” Basically our “healthcare” is suborned to profiiteers. The mess is as corrupt as the government and includes those offices that are part of the government.

Patients are getting less care for more payments, and are being sold drugs they do not need, that are not adequately tested.

Recently, baby boomers are targeted to get checked for Hep C. Not necessarily a bad idea, except that the reason is there is a new test and likely a new medicine coming: sales!!!. So I suspect the numbers of baby boomers who test + Hep C will be huge, because sombody stands to make a huge profit…and not necessarily because all those that test + actually
      will be +
