Please, PLEASE, Mr. Putin, PLEASE don’t react to this man child’s actions! Please know that the people of the United States of America do not want war with your country and your people. Please speak with PE Trump and wait to work this out in 3 short weeks.

Well, feels like 3 long, very long weeks but in the big picture it will pass and be over and we can all move on. My son was collicky and didn’t sleep through the night until almost 4 yrs old. I know that hours can sometimes feel like years and this 3 weeks feels like it will crawl by! But 3 weeks and its finally over!

Putin and the Russian leadership are cool. They will do the required public response and then set the stage for talks with Trump.

Putin has already announced tuning down the Military in Syria. He’s giving diplomacy a chance again. He did this last year in March. It led to US supplying more arms to the terrorists and moving 12-15,000 more into Aleppo area. Then the Russians came back and killed most of them.

He’ll do it again. He’s expanding the air base and the naval base and Iran is getting their airbase ready for Russian bombers to base there also.

Meanwhile, diplomatically, you heard what the Russian spokeswoman said about the US policy and Obama—evil. This was from Sunday night TV show in Moscow.

Enjoy the video. It’s what nearly everyone here in the CTH think and feel about Obama.

Thank you for that video, reassures us that they know what is really going on and see Obama and his tactics for what they are. Seems that most in the international community is also watching the clock, waiting for Trump.

I would like to point out, that when she started her comments about Obama and his administration, she added that she could only speak of foreign policy, as far as domestic that is for the American people to critique or have opinions about… The United States SHOULD strive to have the same respect for sovereign countries… and focus on our own issues..

The only thing he’s likely to respond to is something that critically endangers Russia–Putin would HAVE to respond to something like that. But Obama is too chicken to try something like that…fortunately.

Oligula is hoping Putin will react to this piddly-ass stuff, a reaction that would justify something worse, but Putin is no doubt thinking “three weeks!” (not that he’s counting, mind you) and ignoring the BS.

I wonder if Obama has even figured out what he’d do if he DID succeed in provoking Russia.

guys, its time to take back our senate, and get rid of Graham and McCain, we need to get behind a candidate now.

unfortunately McCain is up for reelection the next time in 2022, which is in 6 years, so will have to wait on that, but Graham will be up for reelection in 4 years from now, in 2020.

guys now is the time to start, we need power, strength, and money.

in 2014 SC had a primary against Graham, but 4 ppl challenged him in a primary, and of course the RINO won, we need to unseat him now for all the cost.

lets get behind one candidate, start a campaign, setup fundraiser events, spread the word, challange him a real challenge, he will freak out, i bet you.

as per the four ppl that ran against him in 2012 i see only Nancy Mace being supportive of donald trump, not sure if she wants to run against him in 2020, but we sure need to reach out to her, maybe we can get this going, this is her twitter account she has over 10K followers, so i think she can be a good start.

At McCain’s age, there’s a decent chance he’ll spontaneously kick the bucket before six years have passed.

On the other hand, there are few things in this universe older than some of our senators, who may (or may not) remember how to write in cuneiform.

        • Wiggy says:

Ken you may be right. McCain is 80 and will be 86 when this 6 year term ends. If in decent health he may run again. Robert Byrd was 93 and Strom Thurman was 100 when he died in office. I read the other day where they claimed that on the Democrat side that in the House, it was like the old folks home. I know they talk about implementing Term Limits but it would take an Amendment and have to be passed by 2/3’s of the State legislatures. That would be quite a challenge.

As excellent as Sessions will be, don’t be surprised if Pizzagate and the Libya deals don’t go anywhere. He will choose his battles carefully and wisely and most likely go after ones he knows he has the best chance of winning and those two issues probably aren’t in that category.

    • We tried but Arizona and SC people voted them back in!

      • NYVoter999 says:

        true, and not true.

        its true we tried.

but its not true that the SC ppl voted them back in.
        1) he had 4 candidates challenging him, we need to rally behind “ONE”.
        2) none of the candidates had any normal size of a campaign.
        3) none of the candidates had enough money to be a good challenger.

if we all unite and rally behind one candidate, and put up the money needed, and setup a good campaign, we will prevail.

South Carolina and Arizona tend to support GOPe candidates. Virtually every time someone comes along that people think is a conservative, it turns out after watching them and careful analysis that they are nothing but GOPe. Trey Gowdy is a perfect example. The voters in those states need to wake up. The few solid conservatives there need to work hard on their fellow citizens to wake them up to the need for change.

The GOPe control both houses of Congress and they very much want to make Trump look bad just like their buddies in the Democrat Party do. You are right that they are siding with them. They have the same goal because they are all part of the UniParty. We cannot forget that Trump’s success is not what they want because it destroys their globalist goals. Just because they have an “R” after their name does not make them trustworthy or a friend.

        • Wiggy says:

Not sure Trump would do this but I’d like to see, when Congress goes against him, that he has a press conference and NAME those who blocked his specific proposals. Folks back home may sit up and take notice. Hopefully.

I would be thrilled but also amazed if we got out of the UN. That would be a huge fight in Congress because all those idiots know that the UN is a major globalist center and to get out of it would be a huge loss to their cause. I sure hope you’re right, but I’m not going to hold my breath.

    • Vixey says:

      • Dave Radetsky says:

But doesn’t defunding have to come from the House of Representatives? The Constitution puts control of spending in their hands and no one else has that power. Wouldn’t the money going to the UN fall under that power? And if so, then Trump’s in for a big battle. They certainly won’t easily accept the idea of getting out of the UN.

        • SteveInCO says:

The Constitution puts control of spending in their hands and no one else has that power.

Wrong. Revenue bills must originate in the House (but the Senate must approve them, and they are subject to veto and veto override, like any other bill).

Unless I am greatly mistaken, there is no such special provision regarding spending, and even if there were, it would only address where the bill originates. Both houses of congress must pass the budget.

          • Dave Radetsky says:

This isn’t about the budget because we don’t have one. We’ve been without a budget for 8 years,so it doesn’t matter about passing one. The actual spending is in full control of the House. Yes, the Senate votes on budgets and spending bills, but nothing can be paid without the House deciding it will be paid because all spending must come from the House. James Madison said it clearly in the Federalist Papers:

“The House of Representatives can not only refuse, but they alone can propose the supplies requisite for the support of Government. They, in a word, hold the purse; that powerful instrument by which we behold, in the history of the British Constitution, an infant and humble representation of the People gradually enlarging the sphere of its activity and importance, and finally reducing, as far as it seems to have wished, all the overgrown prerogatives of the other branches of the Government. This power over the purse may, in fact, be regarded as the most complete and effectual weapon, with which any Constitution can arm the immediate Representatives of the People, for obtaining a redress of every grievance, and for carrying into effect every just and salutary measure.”

            — James Madison, Federalist Papers #58 (1788)

So, back to my original question, since all spending (funding) must come from the House, then wouldn’t that mean that defunding would also come from them?

Congress Threatens to Defund UN over Anti-Israel Vote
“We applaud the efforts of Republican Senators, led by Senator Graham, to strip funding to the United Nations, which has time and again showed their anti-Israel bias. What happened today will forever be on the heads of the President, his Party, and groups like J Street that remained silent.”

            • SteveInCO says:

No, you’re still wrong. Madison is referring to revenue here. but they alone can propose the supplies requisite for the support of Government. The “supplies” he refers to are tax revenues. And even there…the Senate must agree with the House, even if the House must originate the measure, which is hardly a matter of sole control.

I’ll concede I shouldn’t have said “budget,” I should have said “spending.” But, regardless, spending bills need not start in the House.

Find me a citation from the Constitution rather than one from the Federalist Papers (that you misinterpreted) and I’ll concede that spending bills must start in the House. But even then, the House will not be in sole control of spending.

RE: Publix Corporate decision to censor only certain political stories on magazine covers

      Dear Sir/madam:

      SHAME ON YOU!!!!

I understand that your corporate office decided to succumb to threats from political crybabies who can’t stand the sight of Donald Trump, our next president, at the magazine stand at your stores. These whiners don’t have the common sense of a two-year-old child. And you don’t have the courage to stand for free speech. After all, I have had to look at Barack and Michelle Obama on EVERY magazine cover for the past 8 years — and not once have I complained to you, nor have I made verbal comments, nor have I had a tantrum in the check-out line.

Starting now, and until Publix decides NOT to enter politics again, I will be doing ALL of my grocery shopping at my nearby Walmart and Winn-Dixie stores.

I had been doing most of my shopping at your store (only about $300 a month, as a single person household) on 9th Avenue in Pensacola, but since you have decided to take sides in politics, I will go elsewhere.

Please warn the whiners and complainers to avoid the Post Office lobby and all government offices for the next 8 years so they don’t have a nervous breakdown when they see a photo of Donald Trump.

Finally, what idiot in your office didn’t know that Trump had more voters in Florida than Hillary?? Why would you intentionally offend the majority of your Florida customers???

IF and WHEN you get smart and decide to retire from politics PERMANENTLY, and obey the First Amendment, please let me know, and I might consider returning as a customer.
