Donald Trump Iowa Speech (Transcript) – Hope For The Powerless And Disenfranchised

Candidate Donald Trump attended an Iowa Republican “Roast and Ride” event today and delivered a speech on the topic of a new vision for the powerless and disenfranchised within America.

[…]  In recent days, the media – as it usually does – has missed the whole point on immigration. All the media wants to talk about is the 11 million or more people here illegally. [Transcript Below]

Thank you. I am thrilled to be here in Iowa among so many good friends.

Iowa is fortunate to have some of the best and most dedicated public servants in the country – including Governor Terry Branstad, Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds, State GOP Chairman Jeff Kauffman, Senator Chuck Grassley and, of course, our great host, Senator Joni Ernst.

What an incredible roster.

I also want to take a moment to thank the Bikers who have been so good to me throughout this campaign. I can’t tell you how much it means to me. They are fantastic people who truly love our country.

More than anything, today, I want to express my gratitude to our amazing Veterans. I will never let you down.

Together, we are going to win this state in November – and we are going to win the White House for the American people.

The White House will become the People’s House. We will tackle and fix the problems that have gone unsolved for years: failing schools, crumbling infrastructure, broken borders, bloated bureaucracy, wasteful spending, and a government that just doesn’t work.

This is a campaign about big ideas designed to help everyday people. These are the people who work hard but who don’t have a voice.

It’s also a campaign about restoring honesty and accountability to government service.

The whole world has been shocked by the continuing revelations regarding Hillary Clinton and her pay-for-play State Department.

Now it was just announced that her important calendar records will not be released to the public until after the election – more protection from a corrupt government.

As I’ve said many times in recent days, it’s hard to tell where the Clinton Foundation ends, and where the State Department begins.

The Clinton Corruption scandals have been a sad time for America. The illegal server, the foreign hacking, the deleted emails, the secret schedules, the lying to Congress. It’s all just too much. How much more can voters take?

Hillary Clinton thinks she’s entitled to be President – she thinks that she’s above the law. But the truth is the opposite: her criminal conduct at home, and her failed interventions overseas, simply make her unfit to serve in the Oval Office.

I believe America is ready to turn the page on this sordid past. We don’t want another 4 years of Obama or Clinton Controversies: they’re not only dangerous but, frankly, exhausting to the people. How do you even keep up with them all?

The Clintons have had their time on the stage– but now it’s time to close that chapter in the history book and open a new one.

That is why this is such an exciting year to be a Republican, and to vote Republican.

This year, the GOP is offering the voters a chance to break-up the corrupt establishment and to create a New American Future.

This chance will never come again.

The Big Banks and Wall Street donors who want nothing to change are throwing millions and millions at my opponent. These are the same people who paid Bill and Hillary Clinton $150 million for speeches.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is all about protecting the powerful.

Our campaign is about protecting those who have no power.

Together, we are going to give working people a voice for the first time in a very, very long time.

Let’s talk about what that means.

For our Veterans, it means a guarantee that they can seek medical care at either a VA facility or at a private medical doctor.

Never again will we allow a Veteran to die waiting for the care they need. We will protect those who protect us.

At the center of our change agenda is also a plan to fix our rigged economy.

The government just revised the growth numbers for last quarter down again – it’s now only 1.1 percent. That’s not just bad, it’s catastrophic. We’re going to Make America Grow Again.

That begins with supporting our family farms right here in Iowa.

Family farms are the backbone of this country. We are going to end the EPA intrusion into your family homes and your family farms.

We are going to protect the Renewable Fuel Standard, eliminate job-killing regulations like the Waters of the U.S. rule, and provide desperately-needed tax relief.

Almost 97% of farms in this country are family-owned and family-managed. It’s not only a great American tradition, but a vital component of America’s economic and national security.

Yet, Hillary Clinton wants to shut down family farms just like she wants to shut down the mines and the steelworkers. She will do this not only through radical regulation, but also by raising taxes on family farms – and all businesses – to rates as high as nearly 50 percent. Adding to the pain, she will tax family farms again at death by as much as 45 percent.

On top of that, her anti-energy agenda will drive up the cost of energy – another attack on agriculture.

We are going to end this war on the American farmer.

That includes our plan to lower the tax rate on family farms down to 15 percent, and to stop the double-taxation of family farms at death – helping to ensure that the family farm tradition in Iowa continues to thrive and flourish.

We are going to make very powerful and great trade deals for our farmers and small businesses.

To those going through hardship, let me quote Reverend Robert Schuler: “Tough times don’t last, tough people do.”

I have been so honored to have the support of the Evangelical community, and I hope we can continue to count on Evangelical support in November. We will get rid of the Johnson amendment which denies your pastors their right of free speech.

I also know how much the evangelical community is deeply committed to helping those in poverty.

My economic agenda can be summed up in three words: jobs, jobs, jobs.

I don’t even have to mention our tremendous construction workers, every single one of them is going to vote for me – do you have any idea how much I build?

I am asking for the support of all Americans who want more opportunity, higher wages, safe communities, competent leadership, and honest government.

We are going to send the special interests packing, and we are going to once again have a government of, by, and for the people.

Republicans are the Party of Lincoln.

Which brings me to a subject that is so important and personal for me. Nothing means more to me than working to make our party the home of the African-American vote once again.

There are millions of African-Americans in this country who have succeeded so greatly and who deserve a government that protects and honors their incredible contribution.

But we also have to talk about the millions of African-Americans who remain trapped in poverty and failing schools.

I’ve spoken a lot in recent days about the deplorable conditions in many of our inner cities. As a father, as a builder, as an American, it offends my sense of right and wrong to see anyone living in such conditions.

Almost 40 percent of African-American children are living in poverty – including 45 percent of children under the age of six.

In Detroit, half of its residents do not work. In Milwaukee, almost 4 in 10 African-American men between the age of 24-54 are not employed.

More than 6,000 African-Americans are the victims of murder every year.

Just yesterday, the cousin of NBA star Dwyane Wade was the victim of a tragic shooting in Chicago. She was the mother of 4, and was killed while pushing her infant child in a stroller.

It breaks our hearts. This shouldn’t happen in America. We send our thoughts and our prayers to the family, and we also promise to fight for a better tomorrow.

Across Chicago, more than 2,700 have been shooting victims since January of this year.

We cannot, as a society, tolerate this level of violence and suffering in our own cities. Those who would deny that this is a national crisis – a crisis requiring urgent action – have no business running for elected office.

Failed Democratic policies – the policies of Hillary Clinton – have created this high crime and crushing poverty.

trump iowa roast and ride 3

In so many communities under Democratic control, we have bad schools, no jobs, high crime, and no hope. It can’t get any worse. To those suffering, I say: vote for Donald Trump and I will fix it. What do you have to lose?

Let me also tell you what you have to gain: millions of jobs, better schools and safe communities.

By the way, how quickly people have forgotten that Hillary Clinton called black youth “super-predators,” and how insulted they were.

I am running to offer a better future – to the citizens of Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, and all across this great land.

African-Americans have given so much to this country. They’ve fought and died in every war since the Revolution. They’ve lifted up the conscience of our nation in the Civil Rights movement. They’ve sacrificed so much for the national good.

Now is the time to put a new agenda into action that expands opportunity, ensures equality, and that protects the rights of each and every citizen.

This includes one of the most important rights of all: the right to live in safety. I will work with communities, with police, and with federal law enforcement, to make communities safe and secure for all of our people.

We are also going to end the discrimination that traps parents and kids in failing government schools. The Republican Party is the Party of School Choice.

There is another civil rights issue we need to talk about, and that’s the issue of immigration enforcement.

Every time an African-American citizen, or any citizen, loses their job to an illegal immigrant, the rights of that American citizen have been violated.

Equal protection under the law must include the consistent application of our immigration laws.

These laws were passed to protect American citizens and lawful residents. For instance, federal law protects the ability of American workers to seek jobs and employment. When government suspends those immigration laws in order to curry favor with special interests – costing Americans their jobs – they have been denied the protection of their laws.

In recent days, the media – as it usually does – has missed the whole point on immigration. All the media wants to talk about is the 11 million or more people here illegally.

But my priority is the well-being of 300 million American citizens, including millions of Hispanic citizens and legal residents who want a secure border, a safe and drug-free community, and a growing economy.

My goal is to provide good jobs, good schools, and safety to every Hispanic community in the country. But we can’t do that if we don’t secure our border.

On Day One, I am going to begin swiftly removing criminal illegal immigrants from this country – including removing the hundreds of thousands of criminal illegal immigrants that have been released into U.S. communities under the Obama-Clinton Administration.

These international gangs and cartels will be a thing of the past. Their reign of terror will be over. In this task, we will always err on the side of protecting the American people – we will use immigration law to prevent crimes, and will not wait until some innocent American has been harmed or killed before taking action.

I am going to build a great border wall, institute nationwide e-verify, stop illegal immigrants from accessing welfare and entitlements, and develop an exit-entry tracking system to ensure those who overstay their visas are quickly removed. If we don’t enforce visa expiration dates, then we have an open border – it’s as simple as that.

I am also going to cancel all unconstitutional executive orders and empower rank-and-file ICE officers and Border Patrol officers to finally do the jobs they were hired for.

Now, what is Hillary Clinton going to do?

She has pledged amnesty in her first 100 days, combined with the elimination of virtually all routine immigration enforcement. In other words, totally open borders. Which will lead to a massive crime wave.

Most alarmingly, she has pledged to keep President Obama’s executive amnesty – which has been blocked by the Supreme Court – directly disregarding a Supreme Court injunction.

Beyond that, she has pledged to add another executive amnesty in violation of both Congressional law and the U.S. Constitution.

These actions from Hillary Clinton will trigger one of the greatest Constitutional crisis in American history. In effect, she is pledging to abolish the law-making powers of Congress and assume the powers of an imperial ruler.

This executive amnesty would bypass Congress to print millions of work permits and benefit cards to those ineligible to receive them.

Hillary Clinton’s immigration proposal will also give illegal immigrants access to Obamacare, Social Security, Medicare and all U.S. welfare. Her plan will functionally end enforcement of visa overstays rules, another open border decree. She will also close down detention centers for border-crossers, meaning we will have an open southern border as well.

This is not to mention that Hillary Clinton wants a 550% increase in Syrian refugees. She can’t even say the words: Radical Islamic Terrorism.

And she supports the Sanctuary City and catch-and-release policies that are getting innocent Americans killed. I’ve met with many of these grieving families, including the incredible family of Sarah Root, a young Iowa girl who was killed by an illegal immigrant released from the border by the Obama Administration – and then released again after the killing. I’ve been so inspired by the courage and bravery of the Root Family and I’d like to invite them on the stage right now just to say a few words.

trump iowa roast and ride 6

Thank you. There is a reason why 16,500 Border Patrol agents have endorsed our campaign, and warned that Hillary Clinton’s plan is “deeply dangerous” “divisive” “radical” “reckless” “wrecking innocent lives” “panders to extremists” and would create “unprecedented crisis”

So the choice couldn’t be more clear. A vote for Trump is a vote to have a nation of laws, a vote for Clinton is a vote for open borders.

On every issue, our campaign is about making life better for working people. But we can’t accomplish that goal unless we break-up the special interest monopoly and give power back to the citizens.

Many people have said that establishment media assault on me and our campaign – we have a movement – is the greatest in the political history of our country. Even today, some major papers fail to mention how strong our poll numbers have become over the short one-week period – they just refuse to print anything positive or good.

They too are part of the rigged system trying to deny people the positive change they deserve. They take phrases and statements, chop them up, take them out of context, and discuss them for days. Always trying to demean and belittle me and our incredible movement to take our country back from the death spiral it is currently in.

Imagine if this much media attention was spent telling the truth about the real problems facing America. Imagine if the media spent this much time telling the story of Sarah Root.

All of the ugly things being said by Hillary Clinton and our opponents in recent days – funded by big banks and Wall Street donors – are nothing more than a desperate attempt by failed leaders to cling to power in order to keep rigging the system.

There is nothing they won’t say or do, no lie they won’t tell – and no amount of money they won’t spend – to try to bully voters into giving them what they want.

This November 8th, the American people are going to reject the cynicism of the past and embrace the optimism of the future.

The old attacks aren’t going to work anymore. The Clinton-Kaine fear-mongering isn’t going to resonate with anyone but the most radical factions of their far-left base.

I want to empower people. Hillary Clinton wants to scare people.

Empowering people begins with three simple words: jobs, jobs, jobs.

Our economy will soar.

Wages will rise.

We will make new friends abroad, and achieve new peace at home.

We will be a country of laws, and a country of great success.

Our cities will be safe, sound and secure.

Our government will be honest, ethical and responsive.

Rule by special interests will be over. The rule of the American people will begin.

So let’s get out and vote on November 8th, and create the future our children deserve.

Together, We Will Make America Strong Again.

We Will Make American Wealthy Again.

We Will Make America United Again.

We Will Make America Safe Again.

And We Will Make America Great Again – For Everyone.

Thank you, and God Bless you all.

Is it possible for the Trump campaign to trick out a truck in Trump colors and make donations of needed items to old people and worthy charities in the poorer parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania?

The moving billboard and the help for some groups of people in these areas will do more good for Mr. Trump than a passel of campaign ads.

Look how well Mr. Trump’s personal leadership resonated in Louisiana.

      • janc1955 says:

I love this idea. I can’t be the only person who sees the money spent campaigning as a complete and disgraceful waste of resources, in a time when the money spent on a single TV ad could help out someone struggling to make ends meet. What a powerful statement, to divert at least some of those funds to a worthy purpose.

        • JC says:

You’re not the only person who sees it that way, Janc. hrc can hurl mountains of millions toward campaign ads (“pay for votes” in its most obvious form), but it’s somehow improper to divert some of that ad money toward those truly in need. A few ads could be dropped in favor of spending the ad money to a Rescue Brigade or Trump Trucks or whatever.

If it were legal, and the main obstacle to implementing these efforts is how it would look to the plethora of spin-doctor critics, who cares? They’ll go after him for anything and everything, regardless. Might as well make a difference with the suffering and hurting. Critics would look even more ridiculous than they do now if they tried to make such help a negative for Trump.

Sometimes you do something because it’s the right thing to do. Just sayin’.

The ultimate reply to critics is ro point out that the $1 Trillion dollars a year that we are paying for “shovel ready stimulus” equates to $3000 a year for every citizen in America. They could have given it to us instead of fat cat crony businesses, then Trump would not have to help out this way.

Glad to see Congressman Steve King man up and be on stage with Trump in a show of unity. It’s time Americans like him that have held out so long because of their devotion to Cruz realize that we have one last opportunity to pull our nation back from the ledge and begin the work needed to out ourselves back together as a country.

There are 80 million Americans that identify as Christians. 50% of them don’t vote, many aren’t even registered to vote. Some Christians stayed home in ’08 because McCain wasn’t quite up to their standards as a Christian. Think back now, fellow Christians that didn’t vote in ’08, to how much ground the Christian faith lost in Obama’s first term. In ’12, again there were Christians that sat in judgment of Romney and would not vote. Fellow Christians that did not vote in ’12, are you unhappy about the additional ground the Christian faith lost between that election and 2016?

It is time for all Americans of faith, Christians especially, to shut off Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Erick Erickson and all other radio and TV news personalities that are so full of themselves they no longer can see they are selling America down the river. At this point, they have become nothing more than false prophets. What’s more important? Your family’s future or stoking these false prophets’ egos with your listenership? For all the faith purists that believe they are more in tune with Providence than the rest of us and know they are more holy and just than Donald Trump and his supporters, take a look at some other people that are people of great faith and step down from your lofty thrones and join We, the People in saving our country.

Take a look at who Donald Trump surrounds himself with these days. Steve King had the courage and humility to put his agenda aside and join Trump today in IA. There are numerous pastors that advise Trump and some have travelled with him to rallies, such as Pastor Burns and Pastor Jeffers. Trump’s inner circle includes Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson and Franklin Graham, to name a few prominent men of faith. Christians, do you seriously think Mike Pence would have accepted the invitation to be Trump’s running mate if he believed Trump to be an atheist, agnostic or someone of weak faith? Trump has been endorsed by Focus on the Family founder, James Dobson and the Family Research Council and David Barton are all encouraging Christians to indeed vote their consciences and that means vote Trump. Staying home is a vote for Hillary and these great leaders of faith will tell you that is unconscionable. Ret. General Jerry Boykin who defends the rights of our military to practice their faith, has organized a group of over 200 military and Christians to meet with Mr. Trump in September because Trump wants to hear their concerns, get in depth info on military issues relating to faith and to thank these people for their support.

Fellow Christians, the time is quickly slipping away. On November 9 we can wake up to a new dawn and day of great hope and encouragement or we can wake to see the last dim lights of our great nation, fading further into darkness, from which our children and grandchildren may never emerge. Do want people like Huma Abedin and members of the Muslim Brotherhood advising President Clinton or do want people like Ben Carson and Mike Huckabee having the ear of President Trump?

There are 80 million of us! America is the last Christian nation on this planet! Are we going to sit by on Nov 8 and willfully allow the last nation that believes in Jesus Christ be taken further toward shariah? Ten years ago Europeans would not have believed the Christian faith would be under such horrendous attack in their countries. We are next, it’s already here. Will you come to the country’s rescue and support the one man that stands in the gap or will you look away and allow your faith to be further scorned, maligned and eventually snuffed out?

It is true that God’s in charge and His will be done, but He has also called us for high purposes and to be engaged and vital. He hasn’t called us to be apathetic or holier than thou judgmental hypocrites. He has always called us to defend His name and fight to our end for our faith. So do it! Stand and fight! Talk to your church, help register Christians to vote. The Christian voting block can be the defining group that gives Trump and America a victory.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord and do everything we can to elect DJT our next president.

Farmhand 1927, Thank you for your passionate post especially to remind us that America is “one nation under God” as our forefathers wanted for themselves and all future generations.

To you and all Treepers, what I’m working on that may help: I’m identifying how people I know but not well enough to know what their political party is or if they’re registered. Through the NC Board of Elections, I type in these names, learn of their party affiliation and their voting history. If the names don’t show up, then I need to speak with them to get them registered after I explain the reason DJT is the candidate for America. This will save much time as we can find the non-voters and also the independents ASAP.

My next step it to go to the County’s online tax record department and type in my road address without numerals, get the names and addresses of those on the road, go to the local GOP headquarters to get Trump signs, and walk the 1 1/2 miles to knock on doors and have conversations with them hoping from my CTH education that I can convince them, if needed, to go our way. (BTW, at my GOP headquarters people are coming fast and furious for our signs and our Trump Pence T-shirts. They want bumper stickers also which we don’t have.)

If I can line my road with Trump signs, it will be one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen.

As someone who supported Cruz till New Hampshire I’m so glad Donald Trump is the nominee and no one else. Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, and the rest of the GOP presidential field would have been reduced to a pile of rubble by now with the all out assault that’s been launched on Trump since the Democratic Convention, and be double digits down with no clue while following the McCain/Romney playbook of being passive against the Democratic candidate headed towards a November beatdown. Not happening this time. We have a brawler, a no holds barred fighter who is gonna take it to Hillary all the way up to November. Americans are seeing a man of action while they’re seeing a woman of reaction.

Hillary is gonna join the long list of overrated wannabe presidents who went down in flames. Yes, I know the hand wringers and worriers among us is gripping about the expected Democrat vote fraud. Remove the personalities for a second and you understand that this election is not It’s about Trump. It’s about us doing our job to save this country from Foreign influence and takeover.

I applaud your support for Trump but am more likely to thank you for your forthright honesty to express that our great nation does need a rebirth. Kasich, Bush, Fiorina, Cruz and the other NeverTrumpers have enough wealth to weather any storm. I see them now as self-absorbed individuals, not team players. Their sole power and personal gain is what they can’t let go of. They are not for the best interest of the people. They have ignored the votes of millions.

I think that with this speech Mr. Trump cleared up any murkiness surrounding his position on illegal aliens. What he said is good enough to satisfy me! Deliver on what he has promised in this speech and, at minimum, things will VERY dramatically improve!

There is a principle of law that a criminal may not profit from his crimes but when illegal aliens are allowed to remain here and to hold jobs they are, in fact, profiting from the crime of entering our country in violation of the law.

The federal government changed the laws so that is near impossible to file a case against them. Years, it takes years to get them into court. Meanwhile, strange, devestating events just happen at home, on the range, etc.

When government claims the rights to it or accuses the legal land owners of crimes, or imposes unrealistic regulations, we need to stop them, but we don’t. It keeps happening, and most frightening is the access given to foreign wealth to buy the land out from under the citizens feet.

This speech was so clear and defined. It described the differences, the policy and effect, the consequence of the policies of the last 8 years and the effect on our future and directly relating that to the effect on Iowans, and us. It refuted the racism charge without actually having to actually defend it. It was hopeful, and a promise for a better future. I loved the line “it’s exhausting to the people, how do you even keep up with them all?” That’s how I feel, angry, hopeless, just waiting for the next shoe to drop wondering what in the heck is that “fool” going to do to us next. And that’s what 4 years of crooked “her” will be too. We must win this, to restore sanity, not to mention our country.

Good speech. On target. He’s drawing a clear distinction between a Trump presidency and a Clinton presidency. In my estimation this is first-class retail politics and, in this, we can see Trump deliberately becoming more mainstream and making a strong appeal to Hispanic and Black voters. I see this as a very calculated move on Trump’s part. He’s re-orienting his brand so that it will appeal to a broader demographic and that appears to be working. We’re now seeing Blacks, Hispanics, and former Democrat Bernie supporters showing up as Trump supporters. I think they’re going to be a part of the Monster Vote—a totally unexpected tectonic shift in support of Trump. Gaining 25% of each demographic now seems entirely possible.

In reality, though, I think there is a hidden 4-5 points, at least, in the polls. I am thinking that Trump will pull off a 5 to 7 point national victory in the general election popular vote, capturing well over 320 electoral votes-maybe as many as 340.

We are looking at a potential landslide here.

People with multiple degrees or one degree with good grades are not getting jobs because companies want people who don’t need to be trained. It is about connections now, and people who don’t have them don’t get a job. Internships are now prerequisites for jobs out of college.

Starbucks requires testing to work there. McDonald’s and retail stores do, too. I don’t think screening out people works.

I think we have a real problem. Colleges need to stop being concerned about social justice and start having networking events with alumni and good programs that help graduates get jobs. Networking is often the sole method that can get a person a job now because most companies use online application software and don’t even look at resumes.

    One of the great speeches.

Medium talent Scott Adams, a small angry man, constantly triesto undermine Donald Trump by stealth. He makes one correct point which is that fear is the best non-rational persuader. But that assumes all else is equal.

Trump is a much better salesman than killary is a saleswoman. Her enfeebled and sick attempts at retailing the politics of fear fall flat when she uses the scattergun approach- accusing everyone who supports Trump of being a racist, for example, or using fear when she is a genuinely scary witch-like figure, like a female version of IT.

Trump can run on positives AND negatives, and it’s one of the reasons he’s going to win.

Bezos yesterday said Americans are too lazy to do some jobs. This is really a good issue to take to Globalists. The truth is that the jobs do not pay enough to entice American workers. If pay were more competitive with other jobs, Americans would fill them. Bezos and crew are really rationalizing why they import foreign workers, that is those so disadvantaged that they have nowhere else to turn but to accept Globalist’s salaries. Isn’t bringing in immigrants to take jobs at Bezos rates just a leftist Globalist politically expedient way of exploiting the downtrodden. Are Globalist’s hiring practices truly much different in effect than slavery. Dems have always loved some form of the slavery system, and Bezos practices the 21st century form of it.

The real Donald Trump. A few years ago when Professional Golfer Chi Chi Rodriguez was on the senior tour I was his pilot and road manager for 12 years. My wife and I had lunch today with his wife Ivalani who was here in the Palm Springs area with a young lady who was trying to qualify for the LPGA tour. In our conversations Trump came up. The young lady golfer said a few months back she and some other hopeful future pro golfers were at one of his courses for an event. She said everything from food, flowers, entertainment was impeccable but most impressed when Trump and wive greeted and talked with them for a while. He was in no hurry, interacted with them and after talking with them could recall every girl by name after they had be introduced to him. She was totally blown away at his sincerity and graciousness with them and his attention to what they had to say. Ivalani said when Chi Chi used to play their courses on tour he was such a great host and as she described “A very sweet man”. I personally never had the pleasure but I have heard this more than once around the courses.

I support Trump, but I am not going to let him do whatever he pleases either. He appears to be wavering. I want to know why.

        • Mr. Trump is a law-and-order candidate. Our laws divide illegal biologicals into different groups. A president does not make laws, or should not give the perception that he is making laws. Since we have had some problems with on-the-books laws being interpreted as something other than what was intended, new laws may have to be created to clarify the true intent of our laws. So, rather than Mr. Trump doing whatever he pleases, he is actually setting his policies to follow the laws that are in effect right now. Since the laws are themselves fairly convoluted, it has taken Mr. Trump a while, and probably a lot of time with advisors, to get a grasp on what the laws are, and how they have been used, and how they can be used.

    Most unregistered voters are Christians.
Most non-voting registered voters are Christians.

Trump has not yet specifically (and humbly) asked for the votes of Christians. To give him a chance. That unlike the last 25 years of disappointment, retreat and compromise, that he will restore liberty, starting with “Merry Christmas”, but also eliminating Obamacare causing violations of conscience, making Abortion Rare (as in Safe, Legal, and Rare), demand PP chose between federal cash and abortions (Bush 41 did that in an executive order, went to court, W failed to renew), and returning Marriage and Abortion to the states. Letting Christians practice more freely than Sharia Muslims.

He could double the monster vote with one speech.
