Stunning CDC Statistic: “25% of Puerto Ricans Infected With Zika Virus”….

Based on current Zika virus spread in Puerto Rico the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) now has the following projection:

zika 2obama zika 1

[…]  “If current trends continue, thousands of pregnant women will get infected with Zika,” said Frieden. “And there could be between dozens and hundreds of children with microcephaly born [there] in the next year.”

The CDC estimates 25 percent of the island’s population could be infected with Zika in its first year of spread there. Puerto Rican women give birth to about 32,000 babies a year. (link)

Transferring the current rate of spread for the virus to the citizenry of greatest impact, based on proximity and travel, the CDC is projecting the strongest U.S. outbreaks in:

  1. Miami Florida
  2. Orlando Florida
  3. Tampa Florida
  4. Brownsville Texas
  5. New York, New York
  6. Jacksonville Florida
  7. Houston Texas
  8. Atlanta Georgia
  9. New Orleans, Louisiana
  10. Charleston, South Carolina

The Zika virus is transmitted via blood and bodily fluids and has been transmitted by sexual contact with an infected carrier.  Mosquitoes and infected male sexual partners represent the greatest threat for transmission.

Yet why won’t they use DDT, the thing that has killed the mosquitoes? Looks like to me, they want others to die, and that’s my honest opinion.

That DDT mass-spraying you had in USA was all a scam. I don’t know of any other civilized country that would have accepted this. Effects of DDT exposure occur between ten and 15 years down the line.
When they spray it, they are clothed in astronaut suits and you live in it.
Solution is simple: eliminate stagnant water.

I guess thats why the inventor of DDT ( who drank a glass of it at his presentations) lived so long ? DDT remains one of the safest and most effective short and long-term non-specific insecticides ever created.

Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever heard DDT described as “safe”.

Regardless, DDT is available for disease vector control in Africa, specifically for malaria outbreaks.

But mosquitoes can become resistant to DDT, as happened when it was widely used as a pesticide.

It wouldn’t work against the mosquito that carries Zika though.

The CDC says the health problems of DDT exposure are unknown. I’m not convinced that it’s so bad. I was exposed to it quite a few times when I was young, the neighborhood fogger (I grew up in a town next to the Mississippi). Sometimes we were outside when the fogger went by. I remember the sticky residue, we used to touch it. I have no health problems. I’m not saying nobody is adversely affected by it but some people are just fine.

To clarify: The mosquito species, Aedes aegypti, that carries yellow fever, dengue, zika and chikungunya can’t live in the open areas – what you describe would apply to the malaria parasite-carrying mosquito species Anopheles gambiae and other various mosquito species that are irrelevant to this problem as they don’t carry diseases.
Originally a rain forest tropical mosquito flitting from tree to bush to tree, well-protected from sun and wind by the thick forest canopy, laying eggs inside little sheltered pockets of water in holes and tree hollows, Aedes aegypti transplanted to densely-packed urban areas can use the same forest habits to survive, living inside residences, laying eggs in household receptacles inside and outside the house, including the underground septic tank. Unlike most mosquitoes, it’s a feeble flyer that can’t make it across an open street.

My comment was in response to Sunshine saying we should just eliminate “stagnant water”. My point was that that is harder than it sounds.

During the “West Nile outbreak” our municipality doubled the number of sprays they performed. We always made a point of going inside if you we say the spray trucks.

The general question is how does the public evaluate proposed actions that are going to eat up taxpayer money as actually going to work? When it comes to mosquito-borne disease, to ensure success, everyone must become very familiar with the exact mosquito responsible – in order to target the guilty insect. Otherwise, it’s all an enormous waste, and creates additional problems. “Stagnant water” everyone knows, but without precision – if one is dealing with Aedes, they don’t like the big open puddles that Anopheles likes. So, we can expend all sorts of time, money, effort to drain all sorts of places and spray all over yet never really make a dent in the disease cases because we killed off other mosquitoes, but not the ones we needed to. West Nile, according to a quick search is spread in the US by Culex – don’t know anything about that species to judge if the spraying helped at all or if winter took care of the problem. West Nile came out of Uganda – part of that tropical forest/great apes/monkeys virus zone that so far has given the world HIV/AIDS, Ebola, yellow fever, dengue, zika, and chikungunya to name a few. 😦

The current best solution is not pesticides or even massive vaccinations. It is genetically modified mosquitoes. These are male mosquitoes introduced into areas where the Aedes aegyptai populations are currently spreading. The males mate with females of the species and their offspring are sterile. This causes a near complete collapse of the mosquito population of that species while not harming the indigenous species that do not carry the Zika virus.

As much as it seems like it would be great to have a world where all mosquitoes were dead, many creatures depend on mosquitoes for food. This method prevents wiping out a significant part of the food chain. Chemical pesticides are too indiscriminate and can irreparably damage an ecosystem. Genetically modified organisms are a “tactical nuke” in this case.

Because it doesn’t work very well at all against Aedes. Not one suggestion has mentioned larvacide methods, but that’s the No. 1 way to kill mosquitoes in enormous quantities overnight, not spraying. Larvacide is 4/5 of a proper eradication, with indoor fumigation 1/5 to destroy flying adults. Mass outdoor spraying using anything – DDT or whatever – for this species of mosquito is a waste of time, money and pesticide and damages other bugs/bats/birds/fish. Not just DDT that kills fish, other pesticides do too. The pesticide-loaded mosquito nets dumped on Africa are destroying African river and lake fisheries.

Thank you Mary Grace, that’s one heck of an informative article, and unfortunately raises even more questions while reading.

I have always been a yuuge opponent to our govt meddling with our ecosystems. I have yet to see a success. Let nature be, it always sorts itself out with time. However, with such large influxes of the human race and it’s continuous growth, it will always cause an imbalance somewhere somehow, even though I still believe the best solution is to butt out and not try and fix it by introducing different species, that is where we always royally screw up. Always.

I wonder if Mothers can sue the GM company for seriously being the cause of this virus and how it affects our children. I sure as heck would want to. Medical bills will be a continuous burden to any with children being affected by this when they were in the womb.

Two things popped out at me while reading the article. One, there is no govt regulation/oversight whatsoever when it comes to introducing mosquitoes, fruit flies or any little bugs. Imagine that, everything else is pretty much regulated but not this. Hmm…I wonder why? Would the name Rockerfeller mean anything? They own the Zika virus. It’s their little invention they’ve introduced globally and with great fault, which leads to my number two.

They released 3 million of the little buggers in one small area, and they claimed they were all nice, little males. However, in reading the data, there is actually an average of 0.3% that are females in the bunch whenever released. This may seem like a very small and insignificant number until you do the math, or better yet, have the author of the article do it for you. Thousands of females are released each and every time. Thousands. It’s so difficult and such a pesky job to check each and every one of the little buggers, mistakes are bound to happen. And wahla! Lots of infected females procreating with males. What could possibly happen? Remember, no regulations.

My husband and I studied on this, but I have no idea it’s true. Zika has been around since abut 1947, but it didn’t cause the problems it has today. Then it was some kind of study of the Gates Foundation, Oretec (not sure of the name now), or whatever, to breed mosquitoes. It’s a detailed explanation, but it has to do with the fact that the mosquitoes got some antibiotics that was not supposed to happen to the mosquito larvae. I think you can thank Bill Gates for this and their attempt to kill us all.

I work with several biologists in Florida. They have been briefing us every month on Zika. It is only carried by a certain type of mosquito and only breeds in very small container s of standing water. It is only dangerous to fetuses. Anyone else would just experience mild flu symptoms. Eventually the population builds an immunity.

I think this is like the Ebola. They are trying to create panic? Fear, distraction? I don’t know but it’s been around a while, and just like Ebola, first world countries don’t have to panic unless they keep importing third world people/cultures.

Trade with Asia existed as far back as the Roman Empire. Y. Pestis existed in Asia even then. Perhaps fleas weren’t carrying it at that time, or rats weren’t carrying the right fleas. Like I said, vectors take a while to establish. That has been true for all pandemics. The most recent example was Ebola in Africa. Ebola has been around (known) for decades, yet the sudden outbreak recently was due to the right vectors coming into contact with humans. The current spread of Zika is similar in that the Aedes aegyptai mosquito, the primary carrier of the Zika virus, is currently migrating northwards, while its population is booming in South America. Zika already existed, now the vector is fully established, and so the disease is spreading.

GMO mosquitoes could be cause of Zika outbreak, critics say

The latest contagious viral outbreak freaking out the globe, particularly women worried about birth defects, may have been caused by the presence of genetically-modified mosquitoes (GMMs) in Brazil, contend critics of the superbugs.
With international health experts convening in Geneva to discuss possible cures for the Zika virus, questions are being raised as to whether they are actually to blame.

In mid-2012, British biotech company Oxitec released the super bugs with the aim of reducing the overall mosquito population that spreads dengue fever, the Zika virus, and chikungunya in northeast Brazil.

At the time, concerns were raised about the release of GMMs without further studies into possible side effects.

“It’s a very experimental approach which has not yet been successful and may cause more harm than good,” Dr Helen Wallace, director of GeneWatch, told the Guardian in 2012.

The first cases of Zika in the Americas were reported last May after spending decades working its way from Africa through Asia.

Up to 1.5 million people now thought affected by the virus, which Oxitec’s critics note is the same country where the GMMs were released – Brazil.

Since the outbreak, there have been over 4,000 cases of babies born with microcephaly in Brazil, although various others causes can also be attributed to the rise.

The Aedes aegypti mosquito sub-species that carries both the Zika virus and dengue is the very type Oxitec targeted with its GMMs.

The aim of Oxitec’s GM program was to release only male Aedes mosquitoes into the wild and they would in turn produce offspring with their virus carrying female counterparts.

This offspring would then die off before breeding age due to the GM coding in their genes, as long as the antibiotic tetracycline wasn’t present, which would override the GM DNA.
Sounds like the plot of a Hollywood blockbuster.
There is already a known survival rate of up to five percent in these GMMs regardless of the presence of tetracycline.

This antibiotic, which is often used to treat teenage acne, can be found in nature too, showing up in soil, surface water, and food, with some research stating that the GMM survival rate could potentially increase to 15 percent.

READ MORE: Genetically engineered mosquitoes battle Zika virus in Brazil

Oxitec critics also suggest that in the absence of studies into the potential knock-on effects of this in these mutated mosquitoes, it’s possible they could in fact thrive in the wild with unknown mutations taking place in GMMs, which in turn could worsen the spread the Zika virus.

“Mosquitoes are food for lots of animals. We would still want to see studies of when birds and bats and amphibians eat these genetically modified animals,” Jaydee Hanson, a senior policy analyst at the US-based Center for Food Safety, told Bloomberg News. “They’re introducing into the ecosystem some genetic constructs that have never been there before.”

Hanson also raised the possibility that other mosquito species could still carry the Zika virus: “It doesn’t solve the problem.”

Calls for further studies into GMMs prior to their release by Oxitec to answer such questions went unanswered, however.

While this Jurassic Park-type scenario could have been accidental, the recent UK TV series “Utopia” suggests it could be a deliberate plan to reduce the global population.

1956-1958: More racist experiments. The U.S. Army conducted live field tests on poor African-American communities in Savannah, Georgia and Avon Park, Florida. Mosquitoes were released into neighborhoods at ground level by “researchers” or by helicopter; residents were swarmed by the pest; many developed unknown illnesses and some even died. After the tests, Army personnel posing as health workers photographed and tested the victims, then disappeared. While specific details of the experiments remain classified, it has been theorized that a strain of Yellow Fever was used to test its efficacy as a bioweapon.

Florida has always been a favorite place for all sorts of CIA evil.

In case you didn’t already know, everything is rigged these days, meaning it’s contrived, fabricated or distorted to fit an official narrative that feeds a nefarious agenda.

The Zika virus hysteria is no different: it was all engineered from the start for a specific purpose, and this article explains exactly what’s really behind the Zika pandemic and why it’s being pushed so aggressively by globalist governments nearing collapse.

First, a little background that you won’t get from any mainstream news source.

So many questions abound about this virus. It was first identified in 1947, but was contained with out control to a small region of Africa for many years. Suddenly it is spreading like wild fire.
Through out its history it was viewed as a mild infection. possibly a fever, body aches, maybe a rash, but often no symptoms. Now it has mutated as far as what it does. Or so the reports tell us.
Add to that the sexual aspect, where one partner can infect another. We know viruses can mutate, is that what is happening here? Or is this a cry of wolf?
The Bible speaks of the increase of war, famine and pestilence during the quickening that leads to the Tribulation. Be watchful friends. If this is the quickening, it might last another year, another decade, another century. I do not know the date, nor the hour. I can only observe.
Just know this, GOD is in control. Some things he makes happen, some he allows to happen, but it is all for his glory, and that is why we are here, to glorify him and to serve him.

Atkisson’s next article: Funds Are Already Available, Why Ask For More Tax Money, Senator Grassley?

Comment @ first article: “You know how conservatives keep saying the government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers in the economy? When it comes to funding for research and development of vaccines, the impact to pharmaceutical companies is YUGE!

At the end of August money runs out on several Zika vaccines under development that rely on research grants/universities to perform the trials. Follow these and decide which stand to gain from government intervention: Intrexon Corporation (NYSE: XON); Cerus Corporation (NASDAQ: CERS); and Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. We never had all these problems…. until Monsanto and its pharmaceutical associates and research labs showed up.

Remember in 2006, they tried to scare the hell out of us with the West Nile Virus.
Mass pesticide spraying everywhere ordered by government. Pesticides = Monsanto.
And then in 2008, another virus, this one from birds. But this time, governments all over the world had the vaccine ready and sold by the millions to governments. Strange that nobody thought of the trajectory of the weak infested bird, from Asia crossing Indian Ocean flying while deathly sick through the Atlantic Ocean to come and kill us.

      Now, this…. the Zika.
One thing they all have in common: mosquitoes.
I am of the opinion that these mosquitoes just don’t show up ‘en masse’ to terrify us.
      Someone put them there.

This species of mosquito, Aedes aegypti has been in the US for centuries. All the summer US yellow fever epidemics of 1800s were carried by local infestations of Aedes aegypti – infected by incoming travelers from usually Havana, Cuba where yellow fever was endemic. These epidemics always stopped before winter. Aedes also carries the similar viruses that cause dengue, zika and chikungunya. It is not born infected, but becomes infected by biting an infected animal or human. So, one can have plenty of Aedes around, but no viruses for it to pick up. It will be a simple summer nuisance, one of many swarms of mosquitoes. But the moment an infected person with a live virus arrives that Aedes can tolerate, then the disease outbreak begins as Aedes quickly spreads it around.

Personally I think it’s all about the money, at least more so than politics. When it comes down to it, the primary job of a company is to generate revenue and earn a profit. It wouldn’t be surprising if the entire thing was just a hyped of sham to do just that. Release a mild bug with exotic symptoms, cause a stir and incite fear in the population, collect massive grants for vaccine development/alternate solutions, and then make the problem worse rather than better to continue receiving funds. It’s possible they are releasing them in Republican states, but I dont think it’s their primary intention. It just so happens that a lot of red states are southern ones where the weather is warmer all year round. Notice how the ground zero for a lot of these disease-carrying insects are third world countries with leftist governments? If this were true than why would they contaminate their own?

As Sundance has pointed out, trillions are at stake. The globalists care only about increasing their revenue stream, so a small investment of money diverted from the fed is no big deal.
Besides, they do not care about money in the bank. They fully know that money, today, is a sham. All those bills in our wallets are is IOU’s from the feral reserve. They want investment capital, tangible assets, land, buildings, things like that. Things that increase in value and generate a return on investment. cash in a bank does not do that.
The possibility I see, and I hope it is far fetched, is using the people from PR as a tool to defeat Trump. Right now they, the folks in PR, are a wasted asset for globalism. They are 100% in the tank for Barry, and now HiLlARy, but their vote means nothing. It does not convert to even a single delegate in the electoral college. But if they shift them out to red states, get them registered to vote in those red states, they can let them return to Puerto Rico where they can then be absentee voters for the rest of their lives.
I shudder to think what such a diabolical plot could do to our political system. We are near bankrupt now.

This is rather comical considering there is absolutely NO correlation between the Zika virus and birth defects, let alone Microcephaly. The Zika virus is not new to Puerto Rico, with the first known cases occurring in the early 70’s. The Zika virus was first discovered in Uganda in 1947 in rhesus monkeys, and later discovered in humans in 1952 in Uganda. Outbreaks were recorded in Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific. Additionally, Puerto Rico has never ever had a single case of Microcephaly until May 13th, 2016. NOT A SINGLE CASE! .. So, there have been known Zika virus cases since the 1970’s, but never a case of Microcephaly until 2016, 46 years later? .. To add fuel to this fire, the woman who gave birth to a Microcephaly baby was an immigrant from … wait for it … Uganda … [eye roll]

Reporting has suggested that more than 4,000 babies born in Brazil since October 2015 may have microcephaly brought on by the Zika virus. But the FACTS say otherwise.

Rather than Zika causing microcephaly, “it is Brazil’s desperate act of mandating that every pregnant women in Brazil—starting in early 2015—be inoculated with GlaxoSmithKline’s Tdap vaccine (a neurotoxic aluminum-containing vaccine that is supposed to prevent whooping cough).

Pregnant women, trusting the wisdom of the public health agencies and also their physicians, took the shot (some right along with their mercury-containing flu shot) and, before the year was out, those deceived women began delivering an increased number of microcephalic babies with shrunken, underdeveloped brains and therefore shrunken skulls. What could possibly go wrong when neurotoxic heavy metals like aluminum or mercury (thimerosal) or lead get into the developing brains of fetuses, whose blood-brain barriers are at their most immature?”

The PCST issued a report that stated, “Malformations detected in thousands of children from pregnant women living in areas where the Brazilian state added Pyriproxyfen to drinking water are not a coincidence, even though the Ministry of Health places a direct blame on Zika virus for this damage, while trying to ignore its responsibility and ruling out the hypothesis of direct and cumulative chemical damage caused by years of Endocrine and Immunological disruption of the affected population.”

The brutal facts are that the actual statistical data does not bear out a connection between the Zika virus and any known birth defects. PERIOD! .. The empirical data simply does not show it!

The Zika virus in a relatively harmless virus akin to a very mild cold. Blaming Microcephaly on the Zika virus is akin to blaming Sickle Cell Anemia on the Rhinovirus (common cold).

That is until my husband had an outbreak of shingles about 3 months later! I was enraged and went to back to Walgreen’s which still had the brochure promoting shingles shots on the pharmacy counter. What the heck is the deal I said? Pharmacist basically yawned and said, “Oh yeah … you can still get shingles after the shot, but it won’t be as severe as otherwise.”

Investigations by EIR have uncovered a planning apparatus operating outside the control of the White House whose sole purpose is to reduce the world’s population by 2 billion people through war, famine, disease and any other means necessary. This apparatus, which includes various levels of the government is determining U.S. foreign policy. In every political hotspot — El Salvador, the so-called arc of crisis in the Persian Gulf, Latin America, Southeast Asia and in Africa- the goal of U.S. foreign policy is population reduction. The targeting agency for the operation is the National Security Council’s Ad Hoc Group on Population Policy. Its policy-planning group is in the U.S.State Department’s Office of Population Affairs, established in 1975 by Henry Kissinger. This group drafted the Carter administration’s Global 2000 document, which calls for global population reduction, and the same apparatus is conducting the civil war in El Salvador as a conscious depopulation project.

The predicted list here is exactly the US cities that historically had summer annual yellow fever outbreaks and epidemics from 1700s to 1905, all spread by the local infestations of Aedes aegypti, in nearly every case, infected annually in the 1800s from Havana, Cuba where yellow fever was endemic. In 1900, it was proved that the mosquito Aedes aegypti was the vector. The winter/summer cycle to these mysterious epidemics then was obvious – mosquito season. In 1901 yellow fever was eradicated permanently out of Havana by eradicating Aedes. In 1905, New Orleans, the worst-hit city in the US for annual yellow fever fatalities, eradicated yellow fever by eradicating Aedes in less than three months. Yellow fever never returned. Aedes mosquito eradication transformed all these cities decades ago. Now CDC has dredged up this same list and suggests these cities are so infested today with Aedes mosquitoes ready to pass any outside introduction of the zika virus that they will be summer zika zones? And this AFTER all these cities were rebuilt and redesigned expressly to keep that mosquito Aedes from ever getting a foothold again? It’s not 1905 conditions in New Orleans anymore or in any of the other listed cities.
