Saturday July 30th – Open Thread

tomb of the unknown - memorial dayOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Excellent video I am watching right now on youtube, the interview of former CIA agent and now author, Robert David Steele.

Former CIA Agent “The Clinton Foundation Is A Global Fraud Which Has Stolen $100 Billion!”

    • Janie M. says:

P.S. Must warn you, he is highly critical of Trump. Mr. Steele, however, doesn’t change my admiration for Trump nor my desire to see him elected to an office he will serve with honor.

      • Janie M. says:

Final analysis – his comments regarding the intelligence community was interesting. I don’t believe too many of us are surprised corruption exists. He addressed the Bill Clinton/Loretta Lynch meeting @ the 12 minute mark and expressed his belief Bill blackmailed Lynch and subequently, his days are probably numbered (let’s face it, Bill already looks like he has one foot in the grave). Steele ran for president in 2012 – I had not heard of him before this… I call his criticism of Trump sour grapes.

Thanks for the memories…How many times have we heard that tune and not known who did it… The O’Kaysons…Thanks!

I can totally understand why people went nuts over this music when it first came out. Very creative, very well done musically. Oh there was so much talent back then! The 60’s was a particularly amazing decade for music, think of the transformation between early and late 60’s.

  14. The 2016 DNC convention was under way in the City of Philadelphia, presided over by a new chairperson, replacing one thrown under the bus the day before. At the conclusion of the convention, a tribute to Comrade Hillary was called for. Of course, everyone stood up (just as they had leaped to their feet during the convention with every mention of her name). The convention center echoed with ‘stormy applause, rising to an ovation.’ For three minutes, four minutes, five minutes, the ‘stormy applause, rising to an ovation,’ continued.

But palms were getting sore and raised arms were already aching. And the older delegates were panting from exhaustion. It was becoming insufferably silly even to those who feared Hillary Clinton.

However, who would dare to be the first to stop? Bernie Sanders could have done it. He was standing on the platform, and it was he who had just called for the ovation. But he was an outsider. He was afraid! After all, Hillary’s thugs were standing in the hall applauding and watching to see who would quit first!

The terrified delegates and reporters continued to applaud — six, seven, eight minutes! At the rear of the convention center, which was crowded, they could of course cheat a bit, clap less frequently, less vigorously, not so eagerly — but up there in front where everyone could see them?

Bernie Sanders, who had posed to his follower as an independent and strong-minded man, stood with the Hillary and her cronies. Nine minutes! Ten! In anguish he watched the DNC chairperson, but the latter dared not stop. Insanity! To the last man, woman, and transgender!

With make-believe enthusiasm on their faces, looking at each other with faint hope, the delegates were just going to go on and on applauding till they fell where they stood, till they were carried out of the hall on stretchers!

Then, after eleven minutes, an exhausted Bernie Sanders collapsed. And, oh, a miracle took place! Where had the universal, uninhibited, indescribable enthusiasm gone? To a delegate, everyone else stopped dead and sat down. They had been saved.

That same night Bernie Sanders was arrested. They easily pasted ten years on him on the pretext of something quite different. But after he had signed his confession, the final document of the interrogation, his interrogator reminded him: “Don’t ever be the first to stop applauding!”

    With apologies to Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.

That was good. I’ve not read Mr. Solzhenitsyn and I was unable to watch the DNC. As I was reading this, I thought it really happened. This is very plausible.

Just out of the frame is another tombstone that reads Amwick’s healthcare. He killed my affordable BlueCross plan, buried it six feet under. Being retired, on a fixed income, it was a kick in the teeth. I know that I am not alone, this attack was/is personal.

If anyone, Sundance etc wants to research Uranium One deal with the russians and Clinton. Here is the fellow that has all the goods. 4,000 pages of documents linking the BLM, several high ranking politicians in Oregon, the gov of Oregon with the Clinton Foundation, the russians. You DONT need any hacked or missing e-mails, he has it all complete with BLM whistle blowers statements etc. His name is Lazaro Ecenarro. You have to find him on Facebook. I’m sure the Trump campaign would like to talk to this guy if not already.
