Apparently the U.S. media has chosen this week to once again reassert itself as the epitome of broadcast propaganda; Pravda must have been giving them a run for the ruses.
One of the examples today comes from the nascent Jake Tapper of CNN who rallied the proverbial troops around a claim that Donald Trump “brought up Vince Foster” while campaigning for President.

After a two minute diatribe on his framework Tapper begins the panel discussion by saying: “how do you respond to Donald Trump bringing up Vince Foster?
Except there’s a problem; you know, the pesky truth,… Donald Trump didn’t bring up Vince Foster, a reporter did.
As outlined in the Washington Post:

[…] When asked in an interview last week about the Foster case, Trump dealt with it as he has with many edgy topics — raising doubts about the official version of events even as he says he does not plan to talk about it on the campaign trail.
He called theories of possible foul play “very serious” and the circumstances of Foster’s death “very fishy.”
“He had intimate knowledge of what was going on,” Trump said, speaking of Foster’s relationship with the Clintons at the time. “He knew everything that was going on, and then all of a sudden he committed suicide.”
He added, “I don’t bring [Foster’s death] up because I don’t know enough to really discuss it. I will say there are people who continue to bring it up because they think it was absolutely a murder. I don’t do that because I don’t think it’s fair.” (link)

But the truth of origination with a reporter bringing up the issue didn’t stop Jake Tapper from attributing the entire conversation as originating with Donald Trump.

humor-in-nature8Presidential candidate Donald Trump mentioned a debunked conspiracy theory about the death of Vince Foster in an interview with The Washington Post. CNN’s Jake Tapper reports.

See how that works?

Reporter: What do you think about the mysterious nature surrounding Area 51?

Trump: I don’t know enough about Area 51 to discuss it, but people have theories.

(Moments Later)

Jake Tapper: Donald Trump espouses wild conspiracy theory exists around Area 51.

And this same Jake Tapper wonders why politicians don’t answer the questions from reporters.
Go figure.
