Why Donald Trump is Correct About Islamic Terrorism and How To Deal With It…

Stunningly, Piers Morgan pens an Op-Ed in the Daily Mail today asking: ‘when are people going to begin listening to Donald Trump about Islamic Terrorism’ (link).  However, Morgan stops short of explaining why Trump’s proposals make more sense than anyone else.

Islam Demonstration

For decades the Western World, and the U.S. specifically, have approached The Islamic Jihad as a problem the non-Islamic local and global community can solve. If only we can attract enough Muslim allies to join us in the ideological fight.

It doesn’t work.

The emphasis is on the wrong syllable.

It’s time for a reset.

We, the non-Muslim/Western community, can’t solve the problem.  Only the larger Muslim/Islamic aggregate community can solve the problem for themselves.  That is, if they really want to.

Donald Trump is 100% correct when he says the Muslim community know where the trouble is within their midst.  In San Bernardino (California) the Islamic community around the terrorists knew the threat posed.  In Paris (France) the Islamic community around the terrorists knew the threat posed.  And in Brussels (Belgium) the Islamic community around the terrorists knew the threat posed.

Yet the Muslim community around each of these groups and individuals did nothing to stop it.  Why?  In large part because the non-Muslim community has taken the responsibility off their shoulders.

The underlying premise behind all the talk of “cooperation” is based on a false paradigm, false choices, and allows those who know, even remotely, of the evil agents to dilute their own responsibility to act.

Our ‘cooperative’ approach is a self-fulfilling victim prophecy, removing responsibility, diminishing community shame, and generating even more hateful action.

This is the process, the mindset, that must be reversed.

There simply MUST be consequences upon the larger closed-circle community for failing to act, and rid themselves of the evil in their midst.

Absent of altruism born of an attachment to moral virtue, there is no inherent sense, guilt, pressure or burden of responsibility upon the Islamic community to act proactively.  There is no downside for their own failure(s) to act and stop the activity of the extremists in their midst.  Within this reality we find the fertile seeding ground of political correctness to be used as a shield against shame.

Right now, more than ever, shame and consequences are needed.

jihadi johnDonald Trump’s proposals, as severe as some might see them to be, are the first set of actual substantive proposals that reverse this decades long paradigm -which is failing miserably- and actually brings consequences upon the individuals, the families, and the local community if they fail to act.

Only the Muslim community can stop terrorism and stop the radicalization from within itself. Change cannot come, via influence or pressure, from outside; insofar as we continue to allow excuses, obfuscations, deflections and the fear associated with political correctness to block the shame mechanism.

♦ Shutting down mosques might sound extreme.  But if a terrorist comes out of a specific mosque to reek the evil, even if the mosque doesn’t harbor the same intent, that mosque should be closed and have all their assets seized.  It wouldn’t take long before each community sees a greater downside to having a terrorist in their midst.

♦ Shutting down immigration might sound extreme.  But if a terrorist comes out of a specific sect or sector, that entire region -and every family member within that region- should suffer the consequences.   No-fly lists, regional immigration blocks, visa refusals etc. It wouldn’t take long before the non-extremist families saw a greater downside to having a family member who is radicalized in their midst.

♦ Deportations of immediate family members might sound extreme.  But if a terrorist comes out of an immigrant family, that family should be exposed to a consequence that drives home a message that Jihad will not be allowed.  It will not be long before Muslim families who have settled in the West see a greater downside to having a son/daughter husband/wife, etc  who is affiliated with terrorism.

It is only by expanding the consequence, where the families of the killed, maimed or injured are not the only ones carrying the burden of victimization.

The direct and immediate consequences of terrorist activity, their Jihad, should be felt by those who surround the jihadist and yet do nothing to stop it.

With consequences clear, proactive calls to the various law enforcement mechanisms will increase.  These are not easy decisions, but how many more truly innocent lives are we going to see before a different, more effective, approach is taken.

As Mr. Morgan shared in his article:

[…]   Trump told me countries must tighten their borders in light of these terror attacks, especially to anyone related to an ISIS fighter in Syria.

Is he so wrong?

He told me he wants law-abiding Muslims to root out the extremists in their midst, expressing his bafflement and anger that someone like Abdeslam was able to hide for so long in the very part of Brussels he had previously lived.

Is he so wrong?

He told me America must make it far harder for illegal immigrants to enter the U.S. and thinks European countries should follow suit.

Is he so wrong?

He told me he believes there are now areas of many major European cities which have become poisonous breeding grounds for radicalized Islamic terror.

Is he so wrong?

At the end of our interview, I asked Donald Trump to send a message to the large majority of non-violent, decent Muslims who are as disgusted by these attacks as the rest of us.

‘I have great respect for Muslims,’ he said, ‘I have many friends that are Muslims. I’m just saying that there is something with a radicalized portion that is very, very bad and very dangerous. I would say this, to the Muslims, when they see trouble, they have to report it, they’re not reporting it, they’re absolutely not reporting it and that’s a big problem.’

Is he so wrong?

    One of the posters yesterday described a trip to Brussels and how disappointed they were to see the churches in decay. It’s one thing to cut out the junk food if someone is malnourished: no more cotton candy, cheap hot dogs. But it must be replaced by solid, nutritious food : protein, vegetables. In the same way, concerning the spiritual vacuum in Europe, Christians over there need to support their churches and attend church regularly. Even if they are liberal churches, they should get involved and work to change them. A lot of the more conservative, biblical churches tend to meet in office buildings, etc. Which is fine, especially if that’s all they can afford. But I wish there would be a concerted effort by Christians around the world to preserve the old church buildings in Europe and see them re-vitalized according to their original purpose, not have them bulldozed or turned into mosques or pubs or apartments. Having a strong physical, spiritual, and aesthetic presence in a culture really does make a difference.

      Lostwithiel, if you want to see spiritual revival in Europe, write the Pope. Seriously, the Catholic Church is only attended by the very elderly, especially in Belgium – I know this from family living there. Who failed? Either families failed to instill faith in their children of which Belgians probably have some of the largest, or the Church failed. Seeing any historic building in Europe damaged by these pigs is heartbreaking, but the Church is within the people if it truly exists. Europe has abandoned their faith and accepted Islam as equals among them. The big lie is that Islam is a religion, the next big lie is that it is a religion of peace. It is an evil political ideology. We are in another cold war, but this time we can’t demand that someone tear down a wall, because there are no walls. This poison is spreading everywhere.

    The problem with eliminating the Muslim threat to our existence is NOT radical Islam, it’s political correctness and ‘Rules of Engagement’. If we continue to treat Islamic terrorists like enemy combatants, we will never win this war. We must blow these asshole back into the 4th century and prepare to blow them back there again in about 50 years.
    We can start by killing, not just the assassins, but kill all those that protect and support them. And yes that mean women and children, if necessary.

    We can start by tearing down every house we find radical Islam inhabiting. Nothing says,”You’re not getting any more pussy” than threatening the house of the little woman. No, when it comes to the house, the wife is king. Get over it. Blow the bastards up then take a track-excavator to the house.

    Not only do we have to be concerned with our safety when “refugees” from the M.E. are brought to our shores by this feckless administration (and others before him), we pay handsomely for their well-being. Despite our generosity, they will still have no problem biting the hand that feeds them. This Breitbart article is from 2015 but with the additional alleged Syrian “refugees” that have been brought in that figure cited will only increase, they are prolific breeders and believe in having multiple “wives.” Trump is our only solution to this festering problem.

    Robert Spencer at jihadwatch.org has been sounding  the alarm on this for well over 15 years now. For the life of me I cannot understand why so many here are still so ignorant of the 1400 years of jihad against the West underpinned by their “holy” texts (not just in their koran, either).

    Pam Geller was awakened by the Ground Zero mosque debacle and has been tireless in her efforts at pamalageller.com although she still holds a huge chip on her shoulder for Trump screwing up on his Garland comments (and yes, he did screw up. He should arrange a meeting with both of them, apologize, and get them on board). Remember, both Spencer and Geller were banned from Britain for daring to speak the truth.

    Nevertheless, they should both be required reading for all here, particularly Spencer’s site. At the top of his home page there is a tab labeled “Islam 101”. I urge all here to go and read what’s there.

    For God’s sake, when you have friggin’ Piers Morgan in agreement with Trump what more do you need?

    The time for these divisions should be over. It’s time to kiss, make up and unite against a common, mortal enemy. That enemy is not “radical” Islam. It is not “militant” Islam. It is not ISIS. It is not al Nusra Front. It is not Hamas. It it not al Qaida.

    It is Islam. Period.

    End of story.

    It’s like this. There is such a thing as a secular Muslim, just like there are secular Christians. These are people who give lip service to their religion. For example, secular Christians keep all the holidays, but don’t keep to the spirit of the Bible. Similarly, secular Muslims keep the holidays, but don’t adhere to the spirit of the Koran. I’m fine with secular Muslims and even moderate Muslims staying in the US. Why? Because I have worked with them and am related to them, and they are Americans first.

    A simple solution to immigrating Muslims is this: They must have three to five sponsors in the US who have been here for more than seven years. If the immigrating Muslims turn out to be Jihadists, all the sponsors would be exported to the country of their origin. This will put a stop to the immigration of extremists very quickly without keeping out secular and moderate Muslims who are looking for a better and free life in America.

    I found this in a comment on AT and saved it for such an occasion. I see it mentions halal, we now have a halal compliant pizza shop in my borough. Just peachy.

    “”As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

    At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

    From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. ( United States ).

    At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

    When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris –car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam – Mohammed cartoons).

    After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

    Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

    At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

    From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

    After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:

    100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace — there’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:

    Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.

    ‘Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel. – Leon Uris, ‘The Haj’

    It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France, the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate.””

    When I was in the Army, we had a malcontent that refused to abide by the rules. So the cadre punished us until we had had enough, and then the whole barracks let this miscreant know that his BS would no longer be tolerated, and we did so very forcefully! He was never a problem after that.

    Similar lesson to what Sundance is advocating. Unfortunately, I do not buy into the “innocent” muslim delusion. Islam is a totalitarian, militaristic, political system and it is operating exactly as it has been designed to do. The so-called innocent, including the women and children are merely a convenient shield for this evil to hide behind, forestalling what will ultimately have to be done.

    Normal people simply do not block and shut down half the center of Paris to pray, IN YOUR FACE style. Nothing normal about that.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Way back in 2006, if we were paying attention, we knew that the Islamic community around the terrorists knew.
    Read the case of Ilan Halimi.
    Many people who lived nearby the basement where Ilan was tortured to near-death knew something wrong was happening, but did not do a thing, not even call the police.
    Many said that it is out of fear they could not go to the police station.
    Others said they did not want to intervene in a business that was not theirs.
    ALL were Muslims.
    After his death, the investigation will prove that more than twenty people have taken part directly or indirectly in the abduction and torture of Ilan Halimi which led to his death, among them teenagers.
    People who lived in the apartment building where he was being tortured heard his screams and joined in torturing him when they could.
    Israel usually gets the family of a terrorist out of their home, then razes that home to the ground.
    We should, at the very least, set up police fortified stations in every residence where an American or European terrorist had lived.
    It would eventually lead to a de facto assimilation of Muslims who enclave themselves in ethno-European places.
    The “Islamic Center” in Tucson has been under watch since the 1990’s. Tied to numerous terror incidents, including both WTC attacks, the Geller attack in TX, the Boston Marathon bombers, the works. Their imams have had connections to radical Islam for 20 freaking years that we know of. And the gov’t has done nothing. Nada. Nyet. If this were a organization tied to MS-13 or any other serious gang of thugs, it would have been long gone by now. But no such luck.
    They regularly have speakers that have ties to terror groups. All kinds of people who went on to commit terror elsewhere stopped by here on the way. Former Imams from here have moved on to preach in radical mosques elsewhere, including Boston.
    And so today they released a statement condemning the killing of innocents without cause, blah, blah, blah, that didn’t mention ISIS at all. You could have used the exact same statement to condemn the U.S. military’s actions in the Middle East, drug cartel activity–anything.
    The only “consolation” Tucsonans have is the odds they will decide to mount a major attack in their home town are pretty. low. But at this point, I have no problem whatsoever with closing this nest of vipers down, permanently.
    1st Amendment or no, any organization that encourages, finances, or abets terror is not acceptable, period. The father who committed the honor killing in Phx. tried to hide behind his 1st amendment rights to do so. Fortunately, he didn’t get away with it. But with a different judge, he might have. I have no clue how we could go about dealing with Islam. But things like Brussels, the 4 bomb threats in Tucson yesterday, the honor killings that are already happening in the USA, the legislative Jihad being practiced against American business are all huge red flags.
    Salah Abdeallah, “hiding in plain sight”: Citidal a la Ummah
    On 18 March, 2016, Brussels and French police found and arrested missing since last November “ringleader” of the 2015 November terror hits in Paris, Salah Abdeallah; found him, as they put it, “hiding in plain sight.”
    Speaking to the same, 23 March 2016, Mailonline featured an article written by one Jake Wallis Simons, “City of Jihad: Chilling map reveals how Isis fanatics established network of terror where they could plot under noses of police,” in which the writer delineates how, in short, a small band of Islamic brothers, childhood friends, brought Europe “to its knees.” 1
    Did so via terror. Did so obeying Allah, thus did so obeying “Allah’s Messenger,” thus did so following sunnah of that messenger.
    What’s more, they did so aided by the medium of the nursery and garden, if you will, in which they were planted, sprouted, rooted, and matured in–their Islamic community: Citadel a la Ummah; therein, they planned and prepared their actions of terror.
    In other words, just as seeds, if they are to know fruition of the “fruit” within them, demand, from germination through fruition, proper care, agreeable climate, arable soil, water, and protection from potential destructive elements, so it is with the Muslim fit and willing to answer the Islamic obligation for violent armed jihad.
    In the words of Hilary Clinton, “It takes a village.”
    And that “village,” that needed environment, the Islamic community provides.
