The bad news is this poll (full pdf below) comes promoted by NBC/WSJ via Mark Murray.  The good news is they purchased the poll from Marist Polling, a more reliable source than prior NBC/WSJ sources (public relations firms).

However, all of that being said, the most recent polling has been substantively wrong when compared to primary election results.

It’s actually a little surprising that John Kasich would not be doing better in Michigan than these results reflect.  The ‘Open’ Primary Election is Tuesday, March 8th and there are 59 Delegates proportionally available in a ‘winner-take-most’ outcome.

The polling sample is not very strong, the internals are modest and the crosstabs are not very comprehensive.  However, the raw data included appears solid, if the contacted voters are valid.
